Download web pages

Hi All,
I want to download a web page.
i am able to download it using URL Class and then reading it using ReadLine.
But the problem is that i want to download the images also.
like i want to save the page so that if i double click the saved file,it should reproduce the same page along with pics and all.
so for that i need a mechanism to download the whole page and also the .gif and .jpg and other stuff.
Please help me with that.

since you need to perform download and conversion of internal web page links, I think that a web-crawler is the best solution for you.
You can start by Heritrix crawler.archive.org

Basic troubleshooting steps oultlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device.
You need to go through all steps in succession until your problem is solved. If going through ALL these steps fails to resolve your issue, then you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.

Slow to download web pages

For the past week or so my iBook G4, OS X 10.5.2 has not been downloading web pages properly. Usually very slow and halting. Occasionally one will come up normally and occasionally it won't come up at all and I get a "cannot find the server" message. Occurs with both Safari and Firefox, both wireless and Ethernet. I seem to have a good signal. My wife's PC is working fine on the same cable modem/router. I've done the disc utility, virus scan, restart. What next?

After i download web page, the downloads window in firefox 3.6.9 is blank

why is the downloads window in firefox 3.6.9 blank after i download a file or web page? all of my downloads are directed to the "downloads" folder on my desktop [which i selected from ere i placed it]. i've tried many suggestions from contributors, mozilla magazine; and google suggestions.
i selected in "tools, options" to "show" the downloads window when downloading," and elected NOT to close the window when downloads are finished. i cannot find an option to retain downloads in the download window.
i also tried a dozen or more suggestions from mozilla's help page and from forum contributors.
perhaps i'm incapable of accomplishing something that is beyond me.
i do appreciated your advice.

yes, i checked the setting, and it is set exactly how you suggest.
i remember that, in earlier versions of firefox 3x, the download window always remained open after a download was completed.
in tools/options/general, the setting, "show the dowloads window when downloading a file" is checked. i unchecked the option to close the download window when all downloads are finished.
now, what do i do about the "save files to" window and the "ask me where to save files" options. right now, the "save files to" is set to downloads folder. should i change this setting to "ask me"? or, what?

Can we edit the downloaded web page

Can we edit the downloaded(in to client system) web pages in real time with out changing the web page properties. But constraint is that saving the web page is not permeted.

If you download a page, you can edit your local copy. You may or may not be able to upload the edited page if you do so. It sounds that in your case, you cannot.
I'm not sure if that answers your question, or indeed what your question really was. Surely you could have tried editing a page you downloaded.
If you want to have users be able to edit web pages, I'd suggest that you look at web collaboration software. Probably a Wiki would be a good thing. I've also heard interesting things about WebDAV but don't know the details.

Downloading web page content

I want to take radio programme listings from a web page, such that I can parse the data and select certain programmes details only.
Firstly how do I actually get the web page content out? Does it go into a text file? The actual content includes programme times, which might be a means of picking out selected text. Does anyone know where I could find some code that will do that. My intention is to pass this information into a database which connects to my own web site.
This is for a dissertation and I am starting to run out of time, so I would be hugely grateful for any assistance.

the correct commands are:
gunzip Linux_iFS_901_Disk1.cpio.gz

I think you experienced a server in flux. I just tried it and it works. If it continues to fail, then post more details about how you navigated from the page you referenced.

Error when opening downloaded web page

I have downloaded a few pages from a website. Firefox says it can't find them (from the link contained in the root index.html file) . I can open the link with another browser (links). When I open the linked page manually, the name in the url bar of firefox get changed from http://www.blah1.com/?blah2&blah3.html to
http://www.blah1.com/%3Fblah2&blah3.html . Note: only the question mark ( not the &)gets changed. The name of the file on the disk, and the link itself in the root file are correctly spelled and identical.
I suspect this is could be related to this query [http://support.mozilla.com/en/questions/760105?s=url+encoding&as=s].
I have tried to change the character encoding from/to UTF-8 and ISO8859-1, but it doesn't work.
I am using firefox 4 on Linux

The code downloads web pages and subtitles but not youtube video ?

The following code successfully downloads the yahoo page, if we specify its url, or a subtitle even, but when I give a youtube video url, it does download a video file, but the download stops very quickly, and the file never plays:

ITunes download web page info missing

I recently downloaded the american version of itunes v6 by mistake. I also bought an Australian itunes music card which doesn't work on the american system. When I click on apples free Australian "itunes download" page, the actual "download now" button and surrounding information is not there? It all appears on my work pc but not my G5 or my G4 laptop?

If I'm correct, you're not connected to the Australian iTMS.
When you choose the Music store in iTunes, you normally will see the home page. If not, click on the little 'house' icon, just above the page.
Once on the home page of the iTMS, scroll down to the bottom.
At the middle of the page you will see 'Choose Country:'
Once connected to the correct country, sign in using your ID and Password.
You should now be able to use your iTunes Music Card.

Yeah, it is a bit confusing.
What you can try doing is creating dynamicStreamingResource and specify start time and end time.
var resource:DynamicStreamingResource = new DynamicStreamingResource(VideoItem.base);
resource.clipStartTime = startTime;
resource.clipEndTime = endTime;
The only problem is you will not be able to seek before the start time...
