Downloaded new iTunes and now it will not recognize my iPhone or iPad
I just installed the latest version of iTunes yesterday. Now it will not recognize neither my iPhone nor my iPad. Is there a fix coming for this?? I can see from the comments that numerous other folks are having the exact same issue.

The ipod is not a backup/storage device.
You need to copy everything from your old computer to your new one.
The Apple store will do this for you, you can call apple support and they will help you, you can use google. -

I updated iTunes this morning and afterwards I went to sync my iPhone and iTunes will not recognize the iPhone. The computer will, but iTunes will not. How do I get iTunes to recognize the iPhone so I can sync. I do have the phone connected to the computer with the cable.

I now have the newest version of iTunes. My iPad is up-to-date as well. When I plug in the USB to my computer, it makes the proper sound, but I do not see the device identified in iTunes and therefore cannot sync it. Instead, it opens to the file location for my iPad. How do I connect iTunes to my iPad? It was working perfectly before I updated iTunes.

How do I get my updated iTunes to recognise my iPhone as it did before?
I spent last week looking for a solution to that little yellow "!" needle haystack....
It is probably buried where nothing can touch or change it other than what I resorted to and would have saved time, clean install after I made sure to have two backup sets: Windows Easy Transfer plus Paragon clone OS and partitions to drive. Had to spend a full day reinstalling, updates, etc. Careful not to bring back any prefs or data that might be corrupt or wrong.
10.5 and iOS 5 on new iPod 4G works much better though and as they should and no issues like I had with AMS or other services or needing to restart first before launching iTunes. -

Itunes updated to 10.6.3 and now it will not recognize my iPhone or iPad. I have tried uninstalling itunes and the amds following steps provided on the support site. Still nothing. My computer does show both as cameras though. Any ideas?
There has to be a fix without doing that.
You're not using any sort of hub or extender are you? iTunes doesn't always like that.

try with this one
uninstall all the apple application S/w like Quicktime, Bonjour,
apple Device Support, Apple Auto update, Itunes etc from your pc,
Reboot it
Now download a fresh itunes from apple and try installing
Reboot it
If you are having Problem in uninstalling any of the apple application
try 'revo uninstaller' and uninstall all the apple applications

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -

If you have tried all troubleshooting steps providing by Apple, call AppleCare or make an appointment an an Apple store if there is one nearby. You have no other option. -

You did a d/l of the iTunes .dmg - did you install by opening the .dmg and following the dialogs?
