Downloading the data of catalog types / catalog / codes

Hi Friends,
We have the catalog types, code groups, codes, selected sets defined in SAP.
How can I download them directly from SAP.

May I ask what you mean by solution? You can download from SE11, but where are you going to store 2.7 million rows and what tool are you going to use to store it?
You probably need a (small) program that extracts what you want, then opens a dataset in an appropiate server-system folder, and transfers the data rows to the dataset as fixed-length or tab-delimited file. It's been done many times, so suggest that you search.

every field data in the table i want to download and once the download is finished then i have to set the flag as 'download is finished ' as one field in table?

One way is to Download the data Directly from the database table using the path SE11->Give table name ->Execute -> system ->List ->Save ->Local File
There u can downlaad the data .

Unable to download the data perfectly into excel sheet

Hi Frnds,
when i am trying to download the data from the output of a report into excel, some of the records(line items/rows) are getting stored in one of column of the excel sheet. Fog eg: my report outputs 500 line items. In excel after 100 rows the next 5-10 records/rows are storing in one column. so at the end of excel sheet i may not find total 500 records/line items.
Plz suggest me how to handle this.

Data missing while downloading the data using GUI_DOWNLOAD

Hi experts,
I'm uploading the Production Order data through excel and in the transaction level it's happening fine.
After running the BDC I'm fetching the Production Order Number(AUFNR) and it's Status from the respective tables and downloading the data along with the Production Order Number(AUFNR) and it's Status using GUI_DOWNLOAD. (Version is 4.6 C)
After downloading some of the Production Order Numbers(AUFNR) and it's Status are missing in the Excel Log sheet . But it's very much there in the SAP tables and also in the transaction screen level.

I am not sure why it is not coming .
But try by uncomment the bin_filesize.
Because generally the size(bin_filesize) specification is for binary files .

Downloading the data to external file

HI ABAPers,
   I have a dynamic internal table which i created using CREATE DATA statement and i have put in data into it. I have to download that internal table data into a external file. As the internal table is dynamically created it will be dereferenced using a field symbol. In all the download function modules like gui_download ws_downlaod and method like CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GUI_DOWNLOAD we can pass only the standarad table for downloading the data and not the table which is dereferenced by field-symbols. Kindly help.

As the great Max just said, the best way for you to download the dynamic internal table is via an intermediate table made up of characters.
Declare a table as under:
DATA: BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
           FIELD TYPE char256,
          END OF itab.
Then transfer the contents of your field symbol to this internal table row by row.
Then you can download the table using CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GUI_DOWNLOAD .

Facing a Problem while downloading the data from ALV Grid to Excel Sheet

Hi Friends,
Iam facing a problem while downloading the data from ALV Grid to excel sheet. This is working fine in Development server , when comes to Quality and Production servers I have this trouble.
   I have nearly 11 fields in ALV Grid and out of which one is PO number of length 10 , all the ten numbers are visible in the excel sheet if we download it from development server but when we download it from Quality or Production it is showing only 9 numbers.
Can any one help me out in this case.

for eg.
ur final internal int table for disp,

           data : begin of itab occur 0,
                    matnr(12) type N,
               end of itab.

Problem while downloading the data from servlet across SSL

Hi All,
I am trying to download the data with the help of servlet across https.
The below mentioned settings work fine if the application is on http.

But , if the application is on https the above settings is working fine if I am saving the file. But at the same time if I am trying to open I am getting the below error from Internet Explorer.
"Client( IE ) is trying to search the file from the local machine and showing an alert as listed below"

If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files on the File menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved or deleted.
I have changed the options of Tools > Internet Options> Advanced > Do not save encrypted pages to disk.
Please do let me know the solutions for the above problem.

Downloading the data?

Hi Guys,
                when i am downloading the data from any table and transferring the data to application server text file.In the tex file the data is geting displayed but not ith fixed length.I mean some fields doesn't have values.I need to keep spaces in those values but in my file i was not able find spaces in those filed values. so is there any FM or predefined SubRoutine?

The following code concatenates all the fields in the internal table separated by tab into a field called record ( length > total length of all the fields ). This stores the file as tab delimitted separated by (#).

Download the data into excel sheet

hello experts,
I am using the GUI_DOWNLOAD fm to download the data in to excell sheet on to the desktop but here i am getting some problem
For some of the fields i put constant values like '004' or '001' when it is downloaded the data into to .xls its removing the leading zeros.. and just downloading the values as 4 or 1
can anyone guide me how to hold those leading zeros

I have bought the iPad 3 and created an iCloud account. How do I download the data from my Macbook pro to my desktop Mac?

Please help me. I want to sync all of my data on my iPad 3, my Macbook Pro and my Mac Desktop. I have created an iCloud account and what I see on my Macbook Pro is also on my iPad. How do I now download the data which I think is on my iCloud account to my Mac Desktop?
I have already gone into preferences on my desktop, found the iCloud and set up my preferences under my account. Am I missing something?

Error while download the data to an Excel sheet for ECC report from EP

Hi experts,
I had created a report program which will download the data to an Excel sheet using SAP OLE object
For this report i had created a tcode too. The report which i developed is perfectly working fine in SAPGUI. But if i download the data to an Excel sheet for the same report throught SAP EP.I am getting the error that "Error in excel downlaod"
I analyed by putting dubigg point and it throws exception while calling Function module.
The excpetion is " OLE object id not found".
Can any body gives a light on this why i'm not able download the excel in ep?

(by the way I came here to ask my question and is my first time visit but...)
The problem is obvious: How do you expect OLE handler can "touch" the local PC Excel through a web browser? I believe that is not possible. That means (at least for me) that I have to create the whole documents before I return them to the user. That is why I use XML Office documents generation or you can try to hack some Export to excel features of ERP reports.
