Bonjour
J'aimerais créer un dps pour Ipad et Android avec le même contenu.
Suis-je obligé de créer des documents distincts avec leur format respectif
ou existe-t-il un moyen plus efficace.

Non, il est plutôt conseillé de faire un seul document avec une première mise en page, ensuite de lui appliquer des règles de mise en page liquide, puis de créer une "Variante de mise en page" pour chaque format ciblé.
Il faut surtout savoir que sur iOS les folios doivent être nécessairement être au ratio 4/3, alors que sur Android peu importe le ratio les éventuelles différences sont comblées par des bandes noires (letterboxing).

Best video format for both iPad and Android

I've been testing DPS on both the iPad and Android and I'm having trouble converting video to a format that will run on both the iPad and Android devices. I don't have any problems with the iPad but nothing plays on Android so far.
If I test it with the DPS Tips app the video of the guy on the bicycle works on both the iPad and my Android device. Does anyone know what settings were used on that particular video?

If you are looking for a quick, easy solution, download Handbrake.
Videos created with the iPhone/iPod preset work flawlessly on every device Ive ever tested. For tablets, the iPad preset works well but occassionally wont play on smaller Android devices.
I run all my videos through Handbrake before I add them to InDesign (or my websites)

mais je voulais savoir si c'est possible de rendre une appli publique gratuite mais uniquement téléchargeable apres mot de pass
(apres inscription sur site web par exemple…)

Bonjour, il me semble que c'est compliqué selon les directives d'Apple, puisque si l'appli est disponible sur le store, elle doit avoir été vérifiée, et pour cela, une appli "verrouillée", ne répondrait pas à la première demande. A vérifier directement auprès du service commercial d'Adobe.

DPS Ipad et Android

J'ai un projet de réalisation d'une application pour tablette Ipad et Android. J'aimerais utiliser Adobe Digital Publishing Suite pour cela.
Pourriez me confirmer que je peux créer un folio pour ces deux types de tablettes, et est ce que la version d'abonnement Creative Cloud pour particuliers suffit ou dois je prendre l'édition pour Entreprise ?

Tout dépend de comment vous souhaitez la "publier".
S'il s'agit de B2B et que l'application n'a pas besoin de passer par les magasins d'applications, vous pouvez toujours partager directement le contenu de votre travail via le Content Viewer (iOs et android, ET gratuit…)
Hormis la solution Single Edition iPad, le modèle est là dans le but d'avoir une diffusion maximale, à penser comme le lancement en kiosque d'une revue.
Le "comment se fait-il" tient à plusieurs facteurs, fragmentation du marché, achats moindres sur Android (qui est souvent un périphérique offert à et non choisi par l'utilsateur), etc. Cela évolue, doucement.

Problème avec content viewer ipad les folios ne restent pas dans l'app Adobe

Bonjour depuis la dernière mise à jour du content viewer pour ipad (2) j'ai des problèmes : le folio sur lequel je travaille une fois téléchargé, et après avoir quitter l'application, ne s'affiche plus lorsque je reviens sur content viewer ! je dois le re-télécharger à nouveau !
Quelqu'un peut il m'aider ou s'agit il d'un bug et faut-il attendre une nouvelle mise à jour ?!

effectivement, il y a deux solutions (hors licence) :
- attendre la mise à jour de l’Adobe viewer
- désinstaller les extensions DPS (il y a un desinstalleur spécifique), installer une version plus ancienne et republier le folio.

Le risque (éventuel) est alors qu’une demande de mise à jour apparaisse lors de la reconnexion au Folio Producer :-)

PDF modifiable avec formulaire sur Ipad

J'ai créé un document PDF via Adobe live cycle désigner avec des cases cochables et des zones de textes.
Depuis mon Pc j´arrive á modifier le document mais pas depuis mon iPad sur une application Adobe Reader (11.6.3)
y a t il un enregistrement ou une exportation particulier?
ou tout simplement une application spéciale pour iPad?

Le Mobile Reader ne prend pas en charge le remplissage de tous les formulaires créés par LiveCycle Designer . Nous soutenons les formes créées comme acroforms avec des applications comme Adobe Acrobat et Adobe Forms Central . Je suis désolé, je ne peux pas être plus utile .

Can I open embedded PDF documents in a PDF file on an iPad or Android?

Not sure if first post got through, the forum required me to change password ...
So I'm trying to open embedded PDF documents in a "parent" PDF document on an iPad.
On a PC the file opens fine.
On an iPad 2 with Adobe's Reader the same file says it's corrupted.
On PDF Pro the file opens, I can see the listing of embedded PDF documents but when I click on them nothing happens.
Is there a way for a PDF file with embedded hyperlinked PDF documents to be displayed on an iPad or Android?

pages on the iOS has access only to the camera roll to embedd pictures , but no external files.
Content from other documents like pdf can be copied and pasted by using Adobe Reader for iOS or the iBooks.app, open the pdf , copy text , then go to pages.app and paste text into the document there.

Using webaccess with ipad and android tabs

Because of different browser agent, the gw 2012 webclient has not the
same behavior as the standard webclient using firefox or chrome on pc.
I want to access the documents folder. How to do it on this mobile devices?

Project status at this time:
I edited webacc.cfg and commented out the lines for ipad and android
tabs, e.g.
#templates.useragent.1.id=*Linux*Android*GT-P*
#templates.useragent.1.interface=mobile
Now these devices bring up the whole web application.
now I only have to fix this odd behaviour of the webaccess client

Sound not working on iPad or Android (HTML5)

ok I am having a problem with the audio on a captivate 6 project published to my server in HTML5 and viewed on Android or iPad. The audio works fine when viewed through a PC but doesn't start playing on iPad or Android untill a minute after the slide is displayed. Any idea why?

Same here I recorded the audio as mp3 with soundbooth and importeit directly to captivate. I am able to see the presentation running on android and ipad but the audio does not work or kicks in 3-4 minutes after the presentation.

Interesting Differences Between the iPad and Android Viewing Experience

Well, interesting to me, anyway.
Here's some things I've noticed:
Image Sequence
The Android is the clear winner here, as the image sequence doesn't spin out of control when you lift up your finger like it does on the iPad. In fact, the viewing experience on the iPad is truly wretched and I've had to add notes under the view window telling people to keep their finger on the image when swiping in order to maintain control. I was getting complaints. Adobe, what's the issue here? Can the iPad viewer be brought under control?
Reset the entire Folio to the top-most page of every article
Tapping 3 times on the folio name in the viewer will reset each article to the top-most page with viewing on the iPad. Android? No such luck. Bit of a pain, that.
InLine Video
I realize this isn't a feature for Android yet, but it truly can't get here fast enough. Ouch. Pressing on the main Android menu back button twice (fast) will exit the fullscreen video and get you back to the page, but still.... Eeew.
Reset Entire Folio After Folio Update
With the iPad, after a folio update the entire thing is reset to the cover page. With Android, it stays where you left off. Not saying one is better than the other, but we sure do need a main FOLIO RESET button somewhere. And bookmarks. lol.
No Folio Instruction Sheet on Android
I know that Apple requires some sort of content to be contained within an app before approval, but not having that folio on the Android sure is nice. Again, wonder if there's a way to just write some code into the viewer to fool iTunes?
Installing after download
I'd say it's twice as fast on the iPad vs the Android. I've got a Xoom, but this is probably an app issue more than an OS or hardware issue. ?

I looked on Adobe's site and they "advertise" fillable forms for the iPhone and Android markets, but on the Windows Phone tab, that is mysteriously missing. lol Maybe it will come later? Hebrew ebooks (.epub) for iPhones, iPads and Android

I want to convert a book I wrote to .epub format in order to display it in iPhones, iPads and Android using reading apps.
I already tried converting the file using Scrivener (Which worked on iPhones but not on iPads and androids) and with Calibre which has a bug with Hebrew letters.
A friend told me InDesign might be a good choice so I wanted to ask you:
[1] Is it possible to convert to .epub and display Hebrew letters in RTL direction and right text-alignment?
[2] If so, Which of the two programs should I purchase (199$ / 299$)?
[3] Does the convertion process is simple enough?
[4] Is it possible to convert to .mobi as well?

There are some difficult issues in what you're trying to do. One is that in order to get RTL support with InDesign, you need to be using InDesign ME. See a recent thread where I suggested the poster contact the company that produces the ME version for Adobe:

Second, you'll need to make sure the Hebrew font is licensed for embedding, and you'll need to learn about creating EPUBs in InDesign. I'd suggest starting with eBooks by Liz Castro.
