Drag&Drop over JList, would like to highlight cell

I have a JList and have it defined as a drop site. What I would like to do is when the user drags a file from windows to my JList I would like to know which cell they dropped it on. Is this possible?
It would also be nice to have the cell that the drag object is currently over sighlight like it's being selected.

For second part, where you want the cell that the item is being dragged over to be highlited, you could implement a MouseListener, and use the mouseEntered method to test a boolean to see if there is a Drag&Drop event happining. If trur then change the backgound color. Then use mouseExited() to reset the color to normal.

"Time" in Numbers is always "Time of Day", and is always part of a Date and Time value. "Amount of Time" is a Duration value, which may be displayed in a similar format to "Time of Day," but is a different type of value.

I have a text control string box with some initial text (says: Please enter Name). I would like the operator to click on the text control box and have it automatically highlight so that when new data is typed in the old erases (all at once) and the new data is now in the text box.
I tried using the "Text.Selection" property node and when I run it and put the mouse inside the text box the initial text is highlighted and if I press "delete" on the keyboard or if I start to type in new data the initial data does delete but once I start to type new characters they erase each other. For example if I want to type in “Willi
am” I type the “W” and then the “I” but the “I” erases the “W” and now I am only left with an “I” in the text box and so on. I appreciate any help

It seems you are continuously setting the property node over and over again. This should only happen once if you mouse over it.
Create a property node for your text control with the following three items:
(1) KeyFocus (wire a "true" constant to it)
(2) Text.SelStart (Wire a "zero" constant to it)
(3) Text.SelEnd (Wire a constant containing the string length of the text).
Put this property node inside an event structure, triggered by "Mouse enter" on the string control.

Strange UI sticking issue with drag/drop and JList

Hi all,
I have implemented drag/drop between a jtree and jlist. The jtree can accept drops from the jtree (nodes to other parent nodes) and from the jlist. The jlist can accept nodes of the tree being dropped on it.
Let me say this much, it all works. Works fine and great. BUT, the purpose of my post is I am seeing a very strange and not easily reproducible problem.
I should first say that after a successful drop, the list removes the selected items. I do support drag/drop for multiple items.
When I drag items from the list to the tree, reasonbly normal (not too fast), everything seems to work every time. But if I drag an item quickly from the list to the tree, for some reason after the items are removed from the list, another item is selected, sometimes NOT in the place of where the item(s) were selected. Infact, when I drag quickly, I notice the selection changes in the list itself. I only accept tree objects being dropped in the list, so there is no ability to drag/drop list items onto itself, and thus if I drag a list item around the list normally, nothing changes..the item I am dragging stays selected and the cursor shows the drag arrow.
So this problem seems seems odd. I can reproduce it fairly easily, but only when I click and drag quickly.
Anyone have ideas? I don't see where in my list code that as I drag, when drop is done, etc that I select anything in the list. I have tried JDK 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 and it does it in both. I don't see a bug in the bug database for it, and I am not sure its a bug in the JVM or my own code!
Any help is appreciated. Can't really post code as its a large set of code and it is dependent on our company project, so it would take some time to take the code out into its own app to test it again.

Drag&Drop Over a Tab

Since introducing the tabs there is no way to drag&drop a layer from file to file unless you detach (move to new window) the source image. I guess this was overlooked.
Can we have the ability to drag and drop layers and selection by dragging them onto the tabs?
And another thing. I deactivated 'Open documents as tabs' in preferences, but it only works when I open documents through PS open dialogue. If I drag&drop a file from the explorer it opens as a tab. Can this be resolved as well?

Dragging and dropping to tabs is something that is implemented, but remember hearing that it was done last minute.I dont use the tabbed interface either. Because it doesnt seem to provide anything that the shortcuts don't provide, and just throws in a whole lot of unecessary interface clutter.
As for the slowness of the operation of this feature, I have a theory that Adobe have a room full of 70+ gentlemen, all testing new features. "if we'd had something like this in the 1930's, then we woudn't have complained" types.

Final cut pro 6 is dropping files, I would like to know how-to set-up storgage free agent ?

I have been unable to successfully edit my videos, I understand about looking in the easy setup, to match the video been edited,. However the FCP tells me that it is not picked properly and if It can pick the proper format. I click yes. it plays through my only-- two clips, but when I add an effect it drops them. I have a free agent seagate with 449.3 GB of free storage. I would love, appreciate guidence for the setting-up. If this does not work I work like to use the hard-drice on my PC if that is compatable!
I feel as through my computer space is limited. 109.43 GB of free storage on the Mac.

So I went into system settings, under the scratch disk and set my memory to save in the free agent (external) hard drive. I set my thumbnamil, autosave, all of it on my free agent hard drive. audio, video, all under the (tab) scratch disk, set to save to free agent.

I developed some sort of Clipboard, which consists of a canvas, on which you can drag around some customized components. These components consist of a panel, in which there is an mx:HTML-component and a text area.
The problem is that clicking into the panel-header area and dragging the component around only works as long as I the mouse pointer does not touch the mx:HTML component. This means, that when dragging the component over the region where its own(!) mx:HTML-component is located, the drag action is terminated. When the component is dragged over another components mx-HTML part, the drag action is also terminated.
Why does this happen?
If source code is needed, just ask and I will upload an example.

sometimes this workaround helps
try contacting the basis people and make sure u havent installed the lates gui or something.
somethimes during upgrade or so this functionality doesnt work

If they are rentals and you downloaded them directly on your old iPad then that is the only device that you can watch them on - rentals are one-time only downloads, and those that are downloaded directly on a device (as opposed to a computer's iTunes) can't be moved to another device or computer.

I used to see a preview of a photo when I moved my cursor over it - would like to have that option again.

Upgraded Firefox this morning. Before in the upgrade when in Facebook, used to see a full size preview of a photo before clicking the photo to open it. This was very useful and timesaving. Don't know if was a Firefox feature or Facebook feature! Any help welcomed.

I suspect an extension got disabled after your upgrade to Firefox 5.

I would like to highlight a particular cell in a tree when a mouse arrow is moved over it. Similar to wndows drop down menu. Can anybody help me on these.

But I find an issue with this. When there are items with same values in the tree, it always points to the first matched value (even if I set the active item tag to the one where I want to point to). For example, if I have a tree with values "Hello, Hi, Bye, Hello" and then I set the value to "Hello", it points to the first "Hello" even if I set the tag to the second yellow. Do you know any easy work around for this? Thank you!

I have tried to implement this bean but I'm having problems. I've been using your
LAF package for almost 4 years now without issue. I tried the jar file from the zip
file. I also created a new project and recompiled the java code against the 10.1.2.3
frmall.jar file that matches our app server. I resigned it and it's still not working.
Maybe I'm just missing something simple. When I compile and run the form, I see
the canvas and I can change the text fields, but I don't see how I can drag and
drop items. Hopefully, you can think of something that can fix our problem. I would
love to be able to use drag and drop functionality in an upcoming application.
We're running the following versions:
App Server: 10.1.2.3
DB: 10.2.0.5
JDev: 10.1.3.3.0
Windows XP for the clients
Windows Server 2008 for the servers

Edit: I looked in my java console and saw that my issue was that we signed this jar file with a different certificate. I created a special config as Francois has suggested in another post and included only the DnD.jar file and it worked. However, I can't get the image or multi-line text areas to drag and drop. I'll keep poking around and see if I can figure out what's going on. The console seems to recognize when I'm dragging and dropping from all fields.

OO ALV - How to highlight cell after value change

I have an OO ALV with an input enable column and would like to highlight a cell in a different color when the user changes it's value.
I am using pr_data_changed->get_cell_value to check the cells value has changed and pr_data_changed->modify_cell to update the cell with the new value.
The output table has a field called CELLCOLOR of type LVC_T_SCOL which I am using to highlight the cell in red:
         lw_cellcolor-fname = 'THISFIELD' .
         lw_cellcolor-color-col = '7'.
The ALV layout is also correclty set using:   layout-ctab_fname = 'CELLCOLOR'
All the above is working fine and the changed cell is highlighted HOWEVER it only works if I call METHOD g_grid->refresh_table_display
Is there anyway to highlight the cell without calling method refresh_table_display??????
I do not like to call method refresh_table_display in an ALV event. The main reason is if a user changes a cells value and at the same time selects the row for update then the method refresh_table_display wipes out the row selection marker.
So Is there anyway to highlight the cell without calling method refresh_table_display??????

call method get_selected_rows
This will get you the row index of the selected rows from the screen for example I_ROW
In PBO
call method g_grid->set_selected_rows
exporting
it_row_no = i_rows[].
then call refresh_table_first_display
So this one will keep row selection after the refresh_table_first_display method

Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click the "Restore Default Set" button
You can only move the content from a toolbar onto other toolbars if all toolbars support that feature. You need to check that in the options of each toolbar.
