Dreamweaver CC and Bootstrap, Editor Slow

Hello.
Attempting to edit files results in lag while typing.  This lag sometimes exceeds 10 seconds.
removing the bootstrap.min.css allows edits to work as would be expected.
We combine PHP code, and simple functions like..
if( $a===true && $b ===true)
will hang entering the &&
Many of our files cannot be edited with CC (because of performance).
Editing the same files in CS5 and CS5.5  work fine.
We have tested with the following turned off or disabled.
edit->preferences->Code Hints->Enable code  hints  (unchecked)
edit->preferences->Code Coloring->Enable tag highlighting (unchecked),
view->style rendering->display styles (unchecked)
Can duplicate with a simple bootstrap..
<?php

  //    $doSomething=false;
// attempt to add the above code below and observe the performance
} ?>

Dreamweaver CC: Version 13.2 Build 6466

Does this "CC update" leave those of us out who have Dreamweaver CS5.5? My Dreamweaver CS5.5 is "up to date" yet it cannot handle Bootstrap 3. It's a constant pause, pause, pause, pause, pause, pause ... My workflow and concentration is pretty much down the tank with this constant pausing.
So, Is there a fix planned for CS5.5?
EDIT--
I looked around to see what others had done to address the problem. I saw all sorts of things to try, some of which I had already tried, but there was one thing that I was unaware of. In this thread  Re: Dreamweaver CS6 slow  was a suggestion to Deleting a corrupted cache file .
I followed the instructions to delete the cache file and so far this seems to have done the trick. Dreamweaver is working as it did before I decided to redo my website with Bootstrap 3. I just hope it continues to work like this.
Thanks

  • Dreamweaver CC and Windows 8.1 - Can't Find A Valid Editor For This File Extension

    Was running the latest version with no issues and then I loaded Office 2013 .. Now when I am in the remote site and try to double click on a .cfm file, I get a dialog box..Can't Find A Valid Editor For This File Extension..
    I tried the support chat and they said Dreamweaver support was not available, try again later???
    So I thought I would reinstall the CC version and now I can see the Dreamweaver icon next to the files but still ... can't open the file..
    Any assistance would be appreciated?
    Leo

    The issue is only in Windows 8.x where when Dreamweaver CC is installed, it is not able to turn on the file type associations by default.  The workaround for now is to manually add the extensions both within Windows and then within Dreamweaver CC itself.
    Go to Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set Your Default Programs and select Dreamweaver CC and then select 'Choose defaults for this program' and Select All or the extensions you want to open in Dreamweaver CC
    Start Dreamweaver CC and go to Edit > Preferences > File Types/Editors and add '.cfm .cfc' to the extensions and then add C:\Program Files (x86)\Dreamweaver CC\Dreamweaver.exe then click on Apply and Close
    That should be it.

  • Dreamweaver CS6 and CC both very slow page rendering under Mavericks

    Dreamweaver CS6 and CC both very slow page rendering under Mavericks compared to 10.8.5
    Any ideas?

    One other thing I am seeing:
    When I open any document (html, javascript) inside DWCC now, then close it without any changes, DW asks if I want to save changes.
    I just tested this under 10.8.5 and there is no lag there, nor are documents mysteriously modified when opened.
    Note: I have tested this both with and without other Apps or extensions running in Mavericks and 10.8.5

  • Dreamweaver CS3 (9) maxed CPU slow performance and FTP issues.

    Dreamweaver CS3 (9) maxed CPU slow performance and FTP
    issues.
    Never mind...I found it.
    Of course I have all the firewall, worm, scanning, phishing
    filtering, full time protect, and everything else turned off when I
    am working on a remote/testing site however I found the Symantec
    antivirus email scan being enabled (doesn't it just interact with
    my email program?) was getting in the way of DW9 ftp operations,
    causing some lagging that was putting DW9 into an unstable mode
    during and immediately after (10 seconds) ftp operations.
    The CPU still spikes to 99% during ftp functions but DW9
    works even though it's likely taxed to the max but when I turn off
    email scan DW9 returned to a functioning state during ftp and
    remote file view. Whatever it takes huh?
    PS: email scanning only never effected DW8.02
    My System Info: properly configured (as in: everything works

    Thanks for the response. I managed to Google the 'nobody' account and found the explanation.
    As you say, I assumed the 'syslogd' process had to do with system logs. I did check the console and couldn't find anything of particular interest in the logs.
    I'll continue to monitor but if anyone has any further suggestions please post.
    One thing that might also have an impact... my available drive space is now down to less than 5gb (runs anywhere between 1gb and 5gb free depending on what I'm running). I know this causes problems for Parallels as it keeps moaning at me, but would it cause any problems with OSX?
    Thanks again,

  • Dreamweaver CC opening files very slow iMac with Fusion drive

    I am working on a small website based off on Bootstrap 3. Now that I am almost done with the project opening files take a few seconds to open them (in code view). I have tried the various fixes like resolveremoteurltoipaddress=FALSE but still the files load very slow. On my Windows Machine it loads very fast and that machine is 4 years old. The iMac I am using at work is the latest version with decked out specs and only Dreamweaver CC and Edge Code have very slow opening of files. Creating new documents inside Dreamweaver CC is fast. Is there a way to make Dreamweaver open files faster? How to make it load faster, open documents faster, especially in code view. My initial thought is maybe its because I am linking to a few JS library like TypeKit and jQuery but I have not experience these problems on my Windows PC. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 is slow.

    Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 is slow.

    I have been experiencing overall sluggish performance since upgrading to 2014.1 (6947 build) as well.  This is on my Win 7/64 desktop and more noticeably on my Macbook Pro (2010/ 8GB) Mavericks 10.9.5.
    In particular, switching between local sites within the 'Files' window will quickly indicate the newly selected site, but the old files remain visible for quite a while with the 'beach ball' spinning for up to a couple of minutes.  Sometimes it will even quit.  This is the most obvious example with other, more subtle sluggish events.
    I have restored preferences as recommended and even uninstalled/reinstalled DW.  I only use Live Preview for actual previewing not while working on a page.
    As I did not really notice these issues in v. cc 2014, I have considered rolling back to it but I would rather take advantage of the new features in 2014.1
    Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  • Index.html file locks up Dreamweaver, TextEdit and Word

    I've been doing design work (print & web) on the Mac for 20+ years and this problem has me stumped:
    Yesterday I went to open my tried and true index.html file and it locked up Dreamweaver every time. I re-started the computer, ran Disk Utilities, deleted the Dreamweaver configuration cache file, renamed the file, downloaded a backup of the file, etc. Nothing worked. This file ALSO causes TextEdit and Word to lock up.
    I can open all other dreamweaver files and can't imagine what is causing this file to dump. The file works in all web browsers, and I can even view/copy the source code out of Safari. But, when I tried and paste to source code to create/save a new text file, whatever application I'm using (dreamweaver/textedit/word) locks up. I finally created a brand new index file out of desperation, and that appears to work fine.
    Does anyone have any ideas?? (Link to problem file: http://www.pencilplace.com/index_bu.html)
    Thanks,
    Kelli

    I re-started the computer, ran Disk Utilities, deleted the Dreamweaver configuration cache file, renamed the file, downloaded a backup of the file, etc. Nothing worked.
    First, you say you "ran Disk Utilities", but that is a very vague statement. Disk Utility is a tool that can do many things, so what exactly did you do with it? If you repaired the hard drive (not permissions), were any errors found, and were those errors fixed?
    Second, have to tried opening the HTML file with a plain text editor like [TextWrangler|http://www.barebones.com/products/TextWrangler>? If it can open fine in an editor that won't even try rendering any HTML, but crashes all those other editors that are probably trying to render the HTML, there may be something subtly wrong with the code... though, I've never seen anything like that, so I wouldn't know what to look for.

  • OS X: Dreamweaver 8 AND CS 3 won't start!!!

    Just did a complete system installation with OS X 10.5.1. I
    then installed Adobe CS 2 plus a Dreamweaver 8 and Flash 8. The
    system is running perfect, exept that Dreamweaver 8 was crashing on
    startup (freezing after startup screen). I did the hole
    "delete-config-delete-prefs-delete-siteprefs" procedure.
    Nothing… I even tryied to get rid of the startup screen as
    described in a
    tech note. But as
    described I opened the prefs in order to kill the start screen but
    the file was empty!
    Because I have a deadline to meet, I got a trial version of
    CS 3 from the Adobe site, just to get things done and take care of
    the problem on another day. Guess what… Dreamweaver CS 3
    crashes too!!!! Same freezing phenomena just after showing the
    startup screen (not the app logo but that dashboard which is
    displayed after app is loaded). I did exactly the same procedure
    with deleting prefs and such… nothing.
    Site lauch is postponed now, Dreamweaver still not
    running… I am tempted to jump out of the window.

    OK, I got the bad guy. It was definitely the start up screen.
    For all folks having a pref file WITH content in it, see the tech
    note in my post above.
    But if you just installed Dreamweaver from scratch, this file
    is empty. In this case fire up a text editor like TextEdit or
    TextWrangler, create a new document and copy/paste the below code
    into the empty document. Then save the file and name it
    "Dreamweaver 8 Prefs". Do not use a file ending (like .txt). Then
    save the file in your ~/Library/Preferences/
    That did the trick for me!!! Where I got my prefs from? I
    grabed my very old PowerBook where I had an old pref file from a
    working installation, moved it over to the new machine and modified
    it as described in the tech note regarding how to remove the
    startup screen.

  • Dreamweaver cc 2014 running extremely slow

    Dreamweaver CC 2014 is running extremely slow - with essentially no response (using split mode or any other mode). My version of CC runs perfectly - quick & clean. I haven't changed anything - all I did was install the new CC 2014 and tried it out and it basically doesn't work. What is going on? I have a 2012 iMac - my OS is updated plenty of RAM, etc. I have a lot of fonts open but this has never effected any other program - just wondering if maybe behind the scenes its reading all of that stuff (why would it?).

    1.  Re: Dreamweaver cc 2014 running extremely slow
           Preran
    I've determined why MY Dreamweaver 2014 was "slow." BUT AGAIN, I HAD NO PROBLEM running CC with the exact setup.
    I'm running and I-Mac with OSX (version 10.9.4) 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of 1600 MHz DDR2 ram.
    I have 8 exterior drives with 10 Terabytes total.
    I noticed lots of activity accessing drives when running Dreamweaver 2014. I unhooked all drives AND DREAMWEAVER 2014 acted "normal" with it's spinning cursor retired.
    Again, no problem with all of the drives on while using Dreamweaver CC.
    Any thoughts from DreamWeaver/Adobe?
    Thanks,
    Greg

    Dreamweaver has been running extremely slow with reflow.css. Wondering if anyone else is encountering this issue? If so, any fixes or known variable that causes this to happen?

    I haven't see this. Can you describe a little more about what you are doing and what parts are slow? If there are specifc steps you can also file a bug with the Dreamweaver team:

    Hello is Dreamweaver program and muse  both used for making a website and putting it online ?

    Muse might be all you need for now, but be prepared to keep using Muse for the life of your site.  It doesn't import well into other HTML Editors.  Keep in mind that Muse is not intended for advanced web sites. It can't support  dynamic data, shopping carts, blogs or content management systems. But it's fine for simple static HTML sites.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 and GIT... is it possible?

    My web development company would like to use GIT to handle file versioning since the programming community at large seems to be the recommending GIT instead of SVN.  What is the best way to utilize GIT in Dreamweaver CS5?  Is the only option to use this Dreamweaver GIT extension?  Are there any other methods?

    Funnily enough the Subweaver extension integrates TortoiseSVN/GIT into Dreamweaver so Integrating Versions wouldn't really be a "one up".
    And please, stop for a second, consider what you read, remove that 'I've read Steve Jobs mantra' rod from up your arse; I wasn't suggesting that using a terminal was the be all and end all, or the optimal solution, I merely suggested that considering the current implementation in CS5+ of SVN is grindingly slow, it wouldn't kill you to learn the basics of a few of these tools.
    **** if you don't understand "working path", which is a very basic term used in most IDEs and every version control system since CVS, real integration is probably going to be too complicated. How do you handle JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSD, XSLT, CSS1/2/3, Cross Browser Development, aka THE JOB, if your terrified of actually having to learn the terminology of the tools of the trade. If its was some free for all for every idiot in the world with no modicum of intelligence required, it would be paid on par with most admin jobs.
    If you can live without the "click to edit style" spoon-fed, WYSIWYG, drag and drop development system that Dreamweaver is, look at the tools JetBrains creates like Webstorm, that has fully integrated version control, or Aptana which is based on Eclipse and supports every version control system to pop into life in the last 19 years; Coda which has all of the same toys; or any of the other hundreds of tools out there with version control integrated.
    You could even move to GIT for development and use SVN as a central repository; and the tools are fricking free, try http://www.sourcetreeapp.com/ It will let you work in a "git" fashion locally and push your changes to SVN. Unfortunately though every tool requires some learning, its life, and no developer/designer/ux muppet is going to change source control into something where you just hit a big frickin button that says STORE-THE-CHANGES and provide you with no way of working on what's happened, how its changed, commit messages, branching.
    Adobe could pull their finger out and fix dreamweaver, drop masses of the slow, badly built architecture they inherited and never bothered to change, but its unlikely; and considering the competitive nature of the web design and development industry I simply put it to you to Man/Women up and take some responsibility to learn more of the tools of your trade, the industry as a whole isn't going to slow down evolving in order to dumb everything down to a microsoft paperclip "so your trying to version a file" wizard system and nor-should it.

    Upgraded my ipad4 from ios6 to iOS 8 because the new WSJ app required it. HUGE MISTAKE!!!!!!! I can maybe understand some apps being slower but not Safari or Chrome. Apple must be throttling back the ipad4 processor even more with ios8 to force an upgrade to the next gen iPad whenever it arrives.

    Hi,
    From your description, my understanding is that you want to show a list data in a page using jQuery and Content Query Web Part.
    You could use SharePoint REST API to accomplish your requirement, please refer to this code below:
    <div id="listData">
    </div>
    <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.1.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script><script type="text/javascript">
    $(document).ready(function(){
    //replace your list title
    $.ajax({
    url: _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl + "/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('customlist03')/items",
    type: "GET",
    headers: {"accept": "application/json;odata=verbose"},
    success: function (data) {
    if (data.d.results) {
    var obj = data.d.results;
    for(var i = 0; i < obj.length; i++)
    $("#listData").append("<div>title "+obj[i].Title+"</div>");
    error: function (xhr) {
    alert(xhr.status + ': ' + xhr.statusText);
    </script>
    The screenshot below is my result:
