Dreamweaver Rollover Help
When making a webpage, rollover images malfunction to show the rollover change over one central image, instead of the specified image. What did I do wrong?
Here's what I mean (ignore the whote squares, I edited out the title and any telling informationbecause this website is for a client)

Image problem in Dreamweaver Please Help!
I have attached an image in dreamweaver and it looks fine when I preview it in the browser but when it put it on the hosting site it is not there. What should I do?

Just duplicate the information in a new thread on the public Dreamweaver General Discussion forum.
Also, are your images RGB or CMYK? If the latter then they won't show on the web. They must be in RGB color space to show....

Thanks for answering. Yes I have no problem on posting it to the public, it is just that I've being posting this problem in other forums and not getting any answer so I thought that sending a private message could be more efficient. How should I redirect my question to the public forum? just copy my question and post as a new threat?
Regarding my problem I am apparantly doing everything correct. I first created an image folder on my local "website" folder and I put all images there (lower case, single word, jpags and gif). So I went to Insert->Rollover Image and place the images. Then I saved the document and locally tested (pressing F12) and everything was working great. Next I select the document and Site->Put. I reloaded my IE and the images didn't show up. I went back to dreamweaver and manually selected each image that I insert and one by one I upload to the website. I checked the remote server and they are all there on the correct location, but they still dono't appear on my website.
I am researching this problem for more than 5 days and I am really considring to built my website with other tool (rather than Dreamweaver) as I just can't figure it out why in earth these images don't display).

Gabriel, do you feel comfortable posting this to the public forum? That's the right way to use it. Let everyone try to help you. When you post there, please be sure to give enough information for someone to try to answer. If a process is failing for you, describe each step in the process with enough detail to allow someone to recreate that process.
Looking at the code on your projects page I can only think that your images are not being uploaded to the correct location. Do you SEE those images on the remote site?
Anyhow, you can add the answer to this to your post on the public forum....

Hi Murray, I found you in some forums re: Dreamweaver, I hope you can help me. I am trying desperately for the last 6 days upload images on my website. I have checked the sources/paths 1000 times and everything match, I really don't know why I can't see a single image online. The website is www.gabriel.kochece.com, if you go to projects all these links are suppose to be images...

Flash shell into Dreamweaver (CS3) HELP!
Alright, I have been struggling with this for hours now. I
have created a fully working site completely in Flash. I used a
shell to access each of my different pages within Flash, everything
works perfectly. Buttons navigate, rollover images appear, simple
animations interact just fine. I inserted the shell.swf into a
blank Dreamweaver file, saved it to my host (Mobile Me) as
index.html and have domain forwarding set up for the site itself.
When I type in the address: www.jenspaeth.com it opens up to
the front page of the shell in the browser. It does not work past
that though. The flash buttons highlight on rollover, but do not do
anything.
I am supposed to have this sit up and running today and can't
figure out how to make it work. Any and all help would be greatly

Getting a 404 error for
http://www.jenspaeth.com/home.swf
before I even
bring a mouse over the screen.
I'm guessing that
http://www.jenspaeth.com/Jen
Site/Shell.swf is
attempting to load that file and cannot find it.
Did you upload home.swf and any other relavent files to the
root of
www.jenspaeth.com? Or is it supposed to be in the "Jen Site"
folder?
You should not use spaces in folder/file names.

Dreamweaver: Rollover images inserted but have stopped working
Hello,
I am new to Dreamweaver and using CS3.
I made the following Page: https://www.lovemondaymedia.com/princes-trust-facebook-page/facebooktab.php and have put rollovers in for the four 'navigation' buttons (Home, Need Help, Support Us, About the Trust).
Yesterday the rollover images were working without issue but today they have stopped functioning and I'm not sure what I've done, or how to fix it! I'm hoping someone can take a look at the code of the page and let me know if they see an error.

I'm having an issue with Dreamweaver 8, hope someone familiar
with the program can help me. I've been neck deep in a website
project for a client of my wife's work for the last couple of
months now. I'm old school and code everything by hand in a plain
Ol'text editor. The site works great and is live and all that, but
now I must train the client on how to make changes.
We convinced them to buy Dreamweaver because of the
templating feature, that way they can't screw up code that they
aren't suppose to touch. Also it has a built in FTP, so that's also
good for them. My wife's work bought Dreamweaver as well and I
installed it on my system, that way I can get the templates set up
and make sure it all works, etc.
Well here's the thing...
I load up any page from the site (that I've coded by hand),
and dreamweaver refuses to show content below the header
graphic/bar area in design mode. The site is a simple header bar
spanning over a 3 table column format with a footer that also spans
the underside of the 3 columns. My site works fine when I view it
out of DW and even if I click the "view in a browser" button inside
DW, but the display mode inside DW simply refuses to show the
content.
Any idea why? This is kind of critical because these people
know nothing about html and it would be far easier having them edit
in display mode than to go into code mode to change stuff.
Of course, what I should have done from the start is code the
entire site in DW, that way I wouldn't have this issue, but...

that's the
fixed one or not), but it's still showing errors,
1. No doc type (therefore putting non-standard browsers into
quirks mode)
2. Unclosed tag (point #16).

I'm trying to center my website using Dreamweaver. When I preview my site in Dreamweaver it looks good and centered. When I upload the site to Godaddy my site left justifies. Flash Photo Gallery Image Rollover Help
Ok I was wondering if anyone could help me with this I have
created a flash photo gallery which reads from an xml file. It uses

I want to add in a rollover effect to the gallery similar to
the one in Flash Gallery 1 in photoshop

Would it be possible to take one of the as files from the Flash
Gallery source and intergrate it into my gallery or would I be
better just adding the rollover effect myself?the thumbnail (or its unique parent if you setup this up
without fore-thought) should be a movieclip that stores a reference
to the larger image's path.

Insert options not working in Dreamweaver - PLEASE HELP!!
I have Dreamweaver CS6, purchased through Creative Cloud running on an iMac.
Recently I have noticed the Insert options are not showing up through the Insert window:
On top of this, none of the options in the Insert drop down menu work either.
I have tried going through all the in-app settings but haven't found anything that might be causing this problem, which is why I am so concerned.

Dreamweaver/Flash help need ASAP!!!!!
Okay So I am designing a site in dreamweaver as a final
project and i have to used fireworks and flash throughout the
site...So I did the flash insert it into dreamweave and it DOESNT
WORK!!! It is giving me this message
Unable to find the plugin that handles this media type.
Dreamweaver lookis in both the "Configuration/Plugins" folder, and
the plugins folder for each of your installed browsers. So someone
please help how do I fix this so my flash will play!!!! Thanx in
AdvanceFlash should play in DW - select it and click on the Play
button on the
Property inspector.

Firstly I would suggest that you work through the tutorials
that come with
Flash on how to create buttons as this will be useful to you.
Flash Buttons
in DW are based on predefined templates that are quite
different from a
button created in Flash. There is no ability to add images to
the DW flash
buttons, however I have a tutorial on the Adobe site on how
to create your
own button in Flash and use them in DW. The link is

In terms of the white space you can use the Wmode parameter
in the DW code
to set the background of the flash file to transparent which
should solve
the problem.
In terms of placement you would need to place the flash file
inside of a DIV
and then you could position to the DIV.

Problem inserting .swf in dreamweaver 8.Help!!
Hi everybody.I have a problem since a lot of time jaja.I habe
problems inserting .swf files in dreamweaver 8.I can insert, when I
press f12 to see in Internet Explorer you see the movie, but when
you put mouse over the banner I design.This has a bad behavior, it
transform to hand, because the banner is a buttom, and again
transform in default mode and it doesn`t stay in buttom form.When I
did the flash, I saw the .sfw file in HTML, that generated the same
Flash, and it look good, and had a hood behavior, but when I insert
in dreamweaver 8 it doesn`t work correctly.I download the
Dreamweaver 8 Update 2. Now I have Dreamveaver 8.0.2 or something
like that.
I think that the problems is in the form that Dreamweaver
Insert the .swf file.
My way is Insertar - Media - Flash.
Somebody can help me? this problem I can´t resolved and

Very frustrated - spent days - fireworks layout looks pooh in dreamweaver ! HELP

I hope someone can help as I originally made a basic web page in dreamweaver using a very good site that did it step by step. Encouraged I bought Web Premium CS4 and Photoshop elements. Then I came across Fireworks in the package and after looking on the web was excite that I could make an even better site.
Now I am just sooooo frustrated. I have made a great looking site for a friend, that when previewed in Fireworks looks brilliant. I exported to Dreamweaver so that I can add some links and other pages, but prior ti this I thought I would look what it looks like in the browser once again.
It looks awful! My header image has been duplicated across the top, the olours looks different and the gradient I put in the side columns isn't there at all. The nav bar bits are a look naff. I thought that this package was mean't to help us non techhies ! PLEASE HELP !

wow ! That's so kind of you. I will have a go at uploading it now. I did try to attach the file yesterday for Linda, but the 'image' function kept crashing.. I'm using a macbook of my daughter's so that may be the problem with the uploading? Will have a go.
Also can anyone suggest a good step by step way to learn the packages? I did see that the range of 'Missing Manuals' have a god write up.
