Hi, I just have a quick question, at present does dreamweaver
support sharepoint?

No it doesn't.
Best to use Microsoft's products.

  • Dreamweaver CC Supports Phonegap?

    Hello Team Adobe,
Recently I went through some of the videos tutorials on how to develop cross-platform mobile app using Phonegap. In the videos I found Dreamweaver CC supports Phonegap and there is a plugin available for it.
I just downloaded the Dreamweaver CC trial to just check it out how it works. I didn't find Phonegape on the Dreamweaver CC. I tried searching for a Phonegap plugin for Dreamweaver CC but didn't find it.
I just wanna know whether Phonegap is supported on Dreamweaver CC? How can I get trial to test it.
Can anyone of your team member help me out to get Phonegap plugin for Dreamweaver CC?
This is what was shown in the tutorial
This is what i found when I tried it.
    Thank you...

Dreamweaver's direct integration with PhoneGap Build to package applications is not supported in the latest update to the 2014 release Dreamweaver CC (October 2014), and later.
However, you can directly access the online PhoneGap Build service and use the latest feature updates to package your web applications as native mobile applications. For more information, see Using PhoneGap build with the latest update to the 2014 release of Dreamweaver CC.

Does Dreamweaver CC support the CSS3 Border-image tag?  I can't find it anywhere. I've searched the help for that string with no luck.

Better check to see if it's supported well enough by major browsers.  Last time I checked, it wasn't good in any ver of IE.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your product, your licensing structure and more particularly your customer service.
I am unable to run my copy of Studio MX 2004. I have attempted to install the software on my Mac Book Pro laptop, and the software returns an error code indicating it “has been activated too many times”. I can no longer run the software, and attempts to contact Adobe customer support over the last month have not yielded a response which would enable me to use the software I own, and have owned for some time. Currently this product is non-functioning and is of no use to me.
This problem has not been resolved.
At the same time as I tried to install this software, June 23, 2009, I called Adobe sales and was told by a customer service representative that I was eligible for an upgrade from Studio MX 2004 to a stand alone copy of Dreamweaver CS4 for the price of $199 US dollars. I agreed this would be easier than re-installing Studio MX 2004, and so placed the order on my credit card. I have since been charged $294.45 Cdn, which is the cost plus tax, shipping, duty and conversion of funds to Canadian dollars. When I received the copy of Dreamweaver CS4, I attempted to install it, the serial number returned a green checkmark, but the software then asked for the old serial number from MX 2004, and when I entered my serial number from my MX 2004 software, Dreamweaver indicated this was an invalid number. I called Adobe on July 9, 2009 and was informed that the original customer service agent had erred, and that my copy of Studio MX 2004 does not qualify for an upgrade to a stand alone product. I asked about returning the Dreamweaver product I had purchased, and was informed of your Letter of Destruction procedure, and the process to follow. I have followed your instructions to the letter.
I have returned your product Dreamweaver CS4 via the LOD and expected repayment of monies under your return policy.  I contacted your company about returning your product but I have gotten no response regarding this issue other than the fact you have received my LOD, it has now been almost a week since this last communication.
I have made four complaints to date through your Customer Service Portal.
On your website you advertise a 24 hour response time.  Two of my claims
have been open since June regarding the installation issue of the Studio MX 2004 software, and have simply been unaddressed other than to tell me to call Technical Support, which I have done with no resolution – and twice after being on hold for more than an hour I was disconnected. Two of the cases have been opened by Adobe staff in order to respond to my issues, but I have now been waiting over a month to have someone give the proper code so I might re-install my copy of Studio MX 2004. I find this a completely unsatisfactory response time.
I have telephoned your company eight (8) times since late June.  During those
eight calls I have been placed on hold for an unreasonable amount of time.
During my calls I have been disconnected numerous times.
I have called Adobe Corporate Headquarters twice.  When I called headquarters I was placed on hold each time, routed through to customer support and my problems were still not resolved.
When I contacted your first agent, on June 23rd, they assured
me that I would be upgraded from Studio MX 2004 to stand alone Dreamweaver CS4.
I have since been informed that this was promised to me in error.  I expect
that this promise be fulfilled as I am currently unable to run Studio MX 2004.
I used to be very impressed with Adobe products having owned Photoshop 3 and
having upgraded from PS 3 to 5 to 7 to CS 3 to CS 4.  Up until now I have had
no complaints.  However, this experience has caused me to reconsider my
    loyalty to your products.
While my complaints with your products are of a personal nature, my
experience will affect the use of your product at my place of employment.
As Director of Tri-County Regional School Board in Nova Scotia, Canada,
and formerly as Technology Consultant for the Board, I make major decisions
regarding software that is run in all of the English speaking elementary,
middle and high schools in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby counties, Nova
Scotia, which encompasses over 8000 students.
The School Board currently owns hundreds of copies of Adobe products, and I personally own a 50 license copy of CS3, which I use when in-servicing staff.
If I do not receive a prompt and satisfactory remedy from your company I
will recommend that all of the schools under my care cease using any Adobe
products.  I will report my experience to the Nova Scotia Department of
Education and recommend that all schools in Nova Scotia cease using Adobe
    products.
As I have not yet received any response from your company about my
complaints, I have contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding customer service issues and VISA regarding the Dreamweaver CS4 purchase and return via LOD.
In conclusion, I am seeking the following remedies from your company:
    1.  A written apology for poor customer service
    2.  an upgrade from Studio MX 2004 to stand alone Dreamweaver CS 4
    3.  Monies owing from the return of my original purchase based on your agent’s representation in the amount of $294.45 Cdn.
I hope that this matter can be resolved promptly and in a satisfactory
manner.  If it is not, I will stop using any of your products and recommend
they be pulled out of the schools in my board and throughout the province.
I look forward to your immediate response.

    Bill,
I don't want to imply in any way that you have not been treated badly, because you have been. I hope you won't really take steps to deprive the students of your district the opportunity to learn Adobe applications which are industry standards and arguably the best available for many tasks.
I noted that your problem started initially with an Activation issue. Did you see an option to call activation support (activate by telephone) on the error screen? I've not had to do that with Dreamweaver, but I have with InDesign, and the experience was not unpleasant at all.
It is important to note that the activation number is a separate call center, not connected to "customer service" in any way (though it, too seems to be located in India). I think it's been about two years now since I had a problem (hard drive replacement, as I recall), and I called the number. The representative asked me for my serial number and why I needed to have my activation reset, and I was up and running again in five minutes. I've heard other customer service horror stories, but never any about the activation center. The only reason I can imagine for not receiving help with activation would be a pattern of excess activations in a short period that might be considered fraud. Is it possible you have been switching the activation between machines on a regular basis (not to commit fraud, but to allow you to work with properly licensed software in multiple locations)? Again, I don't know anything about the MX suite, but InDesign has a "soft" limit of, I believe, 20 activations before you must call and explain yourself. That counter resets automatically after a (unknown to me) period of time to allow for things like hard drive failures and system upgrades.
Again, there is no excuse for what you have experienced, but I'm not entirely surprised by some confusion about the different licensing criteria involved with pre-acquisition Macromedia products (which I believe Studio MX would be), and post-acquisition versions. I'm not entirely sure anyone knows what is allowed, what versions can be upgraded to what other versions, etc. It's possible to find conflicting information, I think, on different pages at Adobe.com, and the rules are even muddier outside the US. I agree, though, that if a representative promises you that you are eligible for an upgrade, the company has a responsibility to provide you with a working product at the upgrade price, even if it means shipping a full retail version.
    I wish you luck.

  • Dreamweaver / Sharepoint Developer NIGHTMARE

I am a long time Dreamweaver user and love using it for all
my web design work. Our workplace is talking about making a
transition to Sharepoint for all our web sites on post. Even though
I find it hard to believe they will be able to rid the entire
network of servers of all normal HTML coded web pages and go
exclusively to Sharepoint I figured that I better look at
Sharepoint to get an idea of what I am up against.
Just when I was making headway redesigning my new department
external website using Dreamweaver I made the mistake of installing
Sharepoint Developer to see what the buzz was about. Since I was in
the middle of working on the site, after downloading and running
the trial version of Sharepoint Developer I declined the restart to
complete the installation opting to check it out later when I was
done editing. While editing and creating new buttons for the site I
realized I had mistakenly put the files in the wrong folder so I
highlighted all the files needed to be moved in the Dreaweaver
sidebar using CTRL to selct only the needed files and dragged them
to the appropriate folder.... unfortuately I had just opened my
site template and had that highlighted as well. When I dragged the
files to the correct folder of course Dreamweaver prompted me to
update the pages on the site since I was moving the template (I
didn't realize til after I said yes) but after realizing it dragged
the template as well I just figured I'd drag the template back to
    the template folder.....
Well, when I did so, Sharepoint Developer kicks in for some
reason and starts configuring files... I'm like WTF???
So when if completes I open the template and it decides to
OPEN IN SHAREPOINT Deleloper instead of just opening in Dreamweaver
which is still open at this point!!!!!!!!!!
So I close Sharepoint Developer and UNINSTALL the demo
figuring this will solve my problem.... WRONG....
After uninstalling Sharepoint Developer I try to open the
template and it asks me what APP I want to use to open it????
hmmmm... so I stop, right click on the file to select Dreamweaver
as the app associated with the file but when I click on the
Dreamweaver exe file to associate it with the file, Windows will
not allow me to do so, in fact it lists all the other apps in the
list of available apps to select but NOT
    Dreamweaver?????????????????
So I restart figuring this will solve my problem.....WRONG!!
No matter what I do, Windows WILL NOT allow me to select
Dreamweaver as the default app for these files, in fact EVERY file
previously associated with Dreamweaver will not NOT OPEN with
Dreamweaver.... it automatically opens the window as if I right
clicked to allow me to select the app I want to associate to the
file... and now, FRONTPAGE is available (of course since it is aa
WINDOWS program) but still NO DREAMWEAVER. Then I browse to the
Dreamweaver folder as I tried earlier and when I double click and
select Dreamwever, WINDOWS IGNORES ME and reverts back to the
    previous program...
What the hell am I suppose to do now???
Should I uninstall Studio Suite and then reinstall it, reset
all my setting and files and spend the next 2 days getting back on
track or does someone else know a better fix
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    > there goes all my setting for multiple sites and I will
    have reset up my
    > entire workspace....
No you won't. Export your site settings and save your
    workspace config. You
can find out how to do those things in DW's Help (F1)

  • CS6 Dreamweaver "Not Supported on this type of mac"

    Hello All,
I have a new Macbook Pro w/ retina display. I recently bought Dreamweaver CS6 to complement Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 versions. I am running OS X 10.8.1 and Dreamweaver seems to run fine as does Photoshop and Illustrator. After installing the newest Dreamweaver update, it no longer works and gives the error ...Not Supported on this type of mac. I have seen this thread posted with regard to older OS versions but am unsatisfied with any responses and perplexed as my mac is brand new.
    GeoKevin

Geo, unfortunately, this is turning into a major problem although no one has figured out a solution.  Keeping pressing Adobe support.  I have a Mac but don't have this problem but you are not alone:

  • Dreamweaver Language Support

    Hi,
I am using Dreamweaver 4 and Fireworks 4 and am having a
problem with national language support. I am able to work with a
number of languages but have encountered problems with simplified
Chinese, Polish and Hungarian when I copy text for these languages
into Dreamweaver and Firefox. Some of the Hungarian and Polish
characters are lost. It is even worse for Chinese. Dreamweaver is
not recognizing any of the Chinese characters. Is there a way to
make Dreamweaver and Firefox to recognize these languages
correctly? I have tried modifying the Font/Encoding settings in
preferences but have not had much luck. Thanks

Dreamweaver 4 and Fireworks 4 are not Unicode-compliant. The
    only way to
get them to support non-Western European languages is to
    change the
operating system's code page to run in the language you want
    to support.
The easier alternative is to upgrade to CS3, which supports
    all languages.

  • Dreamweaver cs6 support arabic?

i try use dreamweaver cs6 but it can't support arabic
any way to make it support arabic
when i was installed it , i was chose english support arabic
    but nothing happend
my system mac os x 10.7.3
    thanks

Your image doesn't mean very much to anyone who doesn't understand Arabic. However, it looks to me as though the Arabic is correctly displayed, except for the fact that it's on the left side of the page.
I don't understand Arabic, but I went to Google Translate to create a short sentence, which I then pasted into my English version of Dreamweaver. Here's what it looks like:
Like your example, the Arabic appears to be correct, but it's on the left of the page. However, notice the style rule that I have created in the head of the document. It sets the CSS direction property to rtl (right to left).
When I click the Live button, Dreamweaver then displays the Arabic correctly from the right of the page like this:
As far as I can tell, Design view is not capable of displaying Arabic (or other right-to-left languages) from the right side of the page. You need to turn on Live view to see the page displayed as intended.
Please understand that this is an English-language forum, and very few people are likely to have experience with Arabic. To get help, you need to speak to Adobe technical support.

  • Can dreamweaver cs5 support asp?

    Hi
I don't usually work with asp and wondered if Dreamweaver cs5 could support making changes to a classic asp page? Years ago it used to be that you could not open an ASP page in dreamweaver or it would overwrite the database strings.
Do I need to do anything to Dreamweaver to create / amend asp pages in CS5 ? Does it support ASP?
    thanks
    Jane

    >Years ago it used to be that you could not open an ASP
    >page in dreamweaver or it would overwrite the database strings.
It must have been many, many years ago. I've been using DW since MX and it never did that.
    >Do I need to do anything to Dreamweaver to create
    >/ amend asp pages in CS5 ? Does it support ASP?
It depends. Are the existing pages using DW server behaviors? Which programming language is being used?

  • HTML 5 and CSS 3 Support In Dreamweaver CS5

I cannot find any information on this web site about whether and how Dreamweaver CS5 supports HTML 5 and CSS 3. There are lots of other fancy high-end whiz-bang technologies highlighted in CS5, but without support for HTML 5 and CSS 3, Adobe has left a great big hole in the middle of the new Dreamweaver. If I'm going to have to code these by hand, then there's little incentive for me to upgrade from CS4. Adobe may, by this oversight, intend to extend the useful life of Flash, but if this is so it's penny wise and pound foolish. There is much to like about Flash - and much to dislike about how it works on the user side. Leaving these problems unresolved hurts Flash, and leaving HTML 5 and CSS 3 support out of Dreamweaver hurts Dreamweaver. In other words, this is a lose-lose strategy.

    Hi Scott
Sorry for the delay in replying, but I turn my internet connection off when working, otherwise I have found I tend to do more research than work.
    Media-Queries:
I had viewed the video on the possible implementation of media-queries when it was first released, and in most respects the implementation is as I would expect, but it would be helpful if it was, (in a future development of the use) possible to show a list of 'common' smartphone/handheld devices, (makes/models) within the dreamweaver interface that would be usable with the screen size being used, (possibly as an import from the 'device central' device list as a drop-down list). My reason for asking for this feature is primarily as a time saving feature for the css layouts via media-queries as it would then show the targeted/usable devices in a list, and possibly alleviate the requirement of developing layouts that are not really required.
    Video:
At the moment I am using the video feature as you have indicated where possible, and am doing so with the use of IECC's for IE as a fall-back for that browser. I have tried targeting versions if Firefox and Safari that support the video element by testing for it with JavaScript, but I have found this unreliable, possibly when the standard is finalized this may be the better method.
    SVG:
I personally have decided to go with svg in preference to canvas. I have seen a few 'wow' factor demo's produced using canvas but as they use cross-compiled java to javascript code they are in reality showing nothing that has not been done before, (If we had 4Ghz processors with multi-core in 1999 similar trial graphics in vml would have worked just as good then, showing my age here!).
My current work-flow with svg is - Inkscape - Modify the code by hand/preview in a browser - copy/past the code into dreamweaver.
The current in-line implementation of svg's in the IE9 preview is where I see the main future of the svg implementations, as this makes using svg's for graphic elements and basic animations much more viable/easier for the average designer/developer, and lets not forget that as it is a vector it is ideal for resizeable background images in fluid/liquid layouts.
I should say here, that I will for the foreseeable future use flash/swf's for more complex animations, as these are still much better quality than anything that can be achieved with svg or canvas.
I would like to see the possibility of using Fireworks for the creation of svg's, and a work flow similar to that available between fireworks and dreamweaver at the moment.
    Cache manifest and database:
As you have rightly grouped these two together, (and I cannot really envision a situation that they would not be used so) the situation with these is for me, (when trying to create the code for use) the necessity of 'remembering' what I must include in the cache and the transfer of the data for the database.
Both are probably better explained with a typical scenario -
A new research/development firm has developed the technology and parts to upgrade an autos internal combustion engine to an hydrogen powered engine. However the products list is specific to the motor manufacturers engine type, and to make matters worse the sales department also wishes an off-line version of the demos and parts list to be available to its sales team and customers, (o/k, maybe this is not a typical scenario, but it does demonstrate the usage).
When developing the 'custom' html 5' enabled page I would require the cache manifest to include all necessary javascript/images/videos that would be required for the particular auto manufacturer to be available off-line, and compiling the list must be done at present by hand making it subject to possible errors.
As for the database, (manufacturer specific) this must also be available off-line and updateable by the sales person and customer, as they are not always on-line and no hard-copys of material will be produced, (except when printed by the mechanic).
My solution for me regarding the cache manifest would possibly be a dialogue in dreamweaver that would show all resources associated with the auto manufacturers model type used in the html site. I have used namespaces, (or some form of identifier) for general and model specific javascript, and a model identifying code for images and videos. The dialogue would then allow me to filter the resources required using the namespaces and identifier and include them in the list as required, possibly in much the same way that items are moved from a general list to a more specific list when creating the 'favourites' toolbar in dreamweaver.
The database is on first appearance much simpler, as I would simply download the database using the motor_id as a filter, (yes Scott, you can see where I am going with this ) for those who cannot this would be wrong. You have correctly seen the problem with doing this, but I will explain for those who have not. The sales person and the customer would not see any of the images or videos that have references stored in the database, as these are just references and not the actual images/videos, yes one could use 'BLOB' for storing the items but this is not in my experience a reliable method. What is required is some form of method that would also download these items and place them into the required file position for off-line viewing, (which is what the cache manifest would do).
So I would also require the possibility to add dynamically to the cache manifest from an sql database at the same time as the 'save for off-line' option is generated, (I have experimented with doing this in a similar manner that xml is created from an sql database).
That's it for the html 5.
    Accessibility:
For checking I use the firefox accessibility extension and total validator extension first, then the WAVE evaluation tool.
But for Dreamweaver I would like to see the inclusion of the ARIA options as standard, especially when developing 'rich-internet-applications' particularly the aria-live and role options. I often find it interesting in discussions about html 5 where it is seen by many as a 'new' mark-up' language for the web, but rarely seen in the context of helping in accessibility when used correctly. Even the html 5 spec contains a section on using the new mark-up as part of accessibility and how the ARIA roles should be applied, (see - http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/content-models.html#annotation s-for-assistive-technology-products-%28aria%29).
The inclusion of an extra live-view option in dreamweaver that render the page in 'screen reader' mode would also be a possible accessibility checking help. This could be done by simply turning off the background-images 'on-mass' and rendering any items as they would be seen by a screen reader. As most screen readers do now parse JavaScript and css, it would illustrate the problems of using such techniques as light-boxes without using the aria-live role to tell users that the light-box in now the focus of the page.
For anyone who has stayed with this post, my sincere thanks, and any comments on the content would be welcome.

  • Dreamweaver support for SourceSafe

Dreamweaver 8 supports using SourceSafe for source control,
and for some seemingly bizarre reason only SourceSafe.
Could someone from Adobe comment on how this is implemented?
The reason I ask is the easiest way to make an application
use SourceSafe is to make it call into the Microsoft SCC API. The
(huge) benefit of this is that many other source control products
    support this API, and
could be used with Dreamweaver. But for some reason DW8
seems to be tied directly to SourceSafe.
I'm looking for some way to "fool" DW into thinking it is
talking to SourceSafe so that I can use different source control
product. I've changed the registry values for
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SourceSafe\SCCServerPath and
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SourceSafe\SCCServerName but
DW must be using some other means of opening SourceSafe because I
still get an error stating SourceSafe can't be found.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for being open to suggestions, Randy. That says a lot.
The ability to write DW extensions does appear to provide the
framework for any source control provider to write an integration
for Dreamweaver. But at the same time it requires each of them to
implement... basically the same functionality... independently
    themselves.
The MS SCC API is as close to a standard source control
interface as exists. If the dll provided with Dreamweaver,
ssPlugin.dll, were to read the value of
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider, open the
registry key its value points to and loaded the .dll listed there
it could then make source control calls into it according to the
SCC API AND immediately support just about every major source
    control provider on the market..
For SourceSafe the registry keys in question would look like:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider]
    "ProviderRegKey"="Software\\Microsoft\\SourceSafe"
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SourceSafe]
    "SCCServerName"="Microsoft Visual SourceSafe"
    "SCCServerPath"="C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual
    SourceSafe\\ssscc.dll"
So in this case DW would make SCC API calls into ssscc.dll.
If you went one step further and started with
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider\InstalledSCCProviders
and presented the user with the list of providers contained
therein, they would be able to select their source control provider
from whatever they have on their system on a project by project
    basis.
The difference comes down to Dreamweaver being able to work
with virtually any source control system right out of the box, or
individual users having to choose a source control system based on
whether or not the manufacturer has written an extension, or being
out of luck entirely because their company has already standardized
on an SCM and there isn't an extension available.
If this is something you are interested in providing to
Dreamweaver users, I'd be happy to help out in any way I can.

  • May Release: New partner support, Infrastructure updates, Site templates and bug fixes

    Link: http://www.businesscatalyst.com/_blog/BC_Blog/post/May-release-New-partner-support-Infrast ructure-updates-Site-templates-and_bug-fixes/
We are announcing a new Business Catalyst release, scheduled to go live on Thursday, May 3rd. With this release, we are continuing our investments in system performance and stability by increasing our web servers capacity, enabling HTTP acceleration to provide faster site loading times, and improving the site creation speed by using pre-generated sites.
On the product side, we have completely revamped our partner support workflow taking advantage of the Adobe support infrastructure and tools, enhanced the site templates workflow for partners, and included lots of bug fixes and improvements. Read through the following sections to get detailed information about this release:

You can jump to the corresponding section by clicking the above links.
    Partner support
Updated Help & Support partner experience
Following Adobe ID support, we have upgraded BC  support tools (cases, chat, documentation) with standard Adobe tools. As a partner, you can now benefit from the same support tools as the rest of Adobe Creative Suite, and can track your support cases with Adobe BC, Dreamweaver, Muse or Photoshop in a single place.
Partners with more than 100 paid sites will get 2nd level chat support, which includes a higher priority, by default. If you have more than 100 paid sites, but spread across different Partner Portals, please ask support to enable 2nd level chat for you.
Support experience for your Small Business owner clients can now be owned by partners (see below).
Custom Help & Support URL for your clients
As a partner, you are probably already offering various additional services to your clients besides building & maintaining their BC site. Support, tailored specifically to your client needs, is usually one of these value-added services. We are now enabling you to take your Support service to the next level. In  Partner Portal Settings, you have the option to set a custom URL for what will open when your client clicks on Help & Support inside Admin Console:
If you have multiple partner accounts, for different verticals, you can specify a Support URL for each of these.
The default Support experience provided by BC for your clients will be updated in a few releases to be similar to the partner support experience. This includes BC-branded support cases and documentation. If you'd like to keep a white-label experience for your customers, please set your own Help & Support URL in Partner Portal.
For more details please read the Improved support workflow and new forums announcement on our blog.
    Infrastructure updates
Between our April release and the following infrastructure updates have been enabled
Limited trial sites for free partners – starting with our May release, the number of trial sites a Free Partner can have will be limited to 100. Once the limit is reached, Free Partners that need to create a new trial site have the options to upgrade to a higher partner plan, upgrade some of the trial sites to paid or delete unused/expired trials.
Automatic trial expiry extension - with this release, trial site expiry date will be automatically extended with 30 days every time an admin user logs in  the system through the admin interface or through FTP.
Installed additional hardware - we have installed additional web servers on all our data centers, that translate into an increase of the existing capacity with over 70%.
Updated DNS infrastructure - we have improved the DNS resolution for email delivery so that we can increase the rate at which we're sending the system operational emails
HTTP acceleration – all sites static assets are served from a new cache engine (images, CSS and JavaScript files, together with improved headers that should allow the browser to cache them better for a browsing session). This update has been turned on along with our April release, and has made all the BC sites load faster on first and on subsequent loads.
Accelerated site/partner creation – we've changed the way new sites are created for faster speed, pre-creating them and reusing pre-created sites when needed, and have also improved the creation process for new partners, minimizing the impact of new CCM customers on the existing datacenters.
Adobe ID for partners - in order to support an integrating experience between the various Adobe tools a partner may use (Dreamweaver, Muse, Support forums) we have added Adobe ID support for Business Catalyst partner accounts. Starting April 19, partners are asked to merge their current Business Catalyst account with their Adobe ID accounts. For more details about the transition process and FAQ please read the Introducing Adobe ID blog post.
Updated Terms of Use - Along with several other changes in our processes in the past few months, we also revamped our Terms of Use and the signature process by requesting every admin user to sign a TOU. We have completed the rollout for partners, and we might be pushing an updated partner Terms of Use version within the following weeks. For more details and questions about this change, read the New Terms of Use for Business Catalyst blog post.
    Features and enhancements
    Site templates
To support the increasing number of partners building, sharing or reusing  templates to create  new sites, we're extending our site templates support from our partner portal with a new template type and improved  management support. The update is going to enable partners to mark sites as templates and   choose between making them available in Online Business Builder and keeping them private in their partner portal. A template site will not expire and has the same limits as any other trial site.
Based on your partner level, you can create private or public templates using the Site Details screen or the Tools>My Site Template section from your Partner Portal. Standard partners can only create private templates, while Free Partners can only view site templates that have been transferred to their accounts by other partners.
The number of templates a partner will have will be limited and will vary based on partner level: free partners can store up to 5 templates in their partner portal, standard partners have up to 100 site templates while Premium Partners might have up to 200 templates. Paid sites marked as templates are not counted against these limits.
    Business Catalyst Partner fixes
While we are really focused on making the Business Catalyst integration into Creative Cloud a smashing success, we are slowly resuming our efforts to deliver fixes that have been requested by our partners. This release includes the following partner fixes:
Improved product custom fields - we have increased the maximum number of characters for product custom fields to 1024 (previous limit was 256); this gives partners and customers additional space to use when working with products
Improved Secure Zone subscribers list - we have added the customer email address in the Secure Zone Subscribers list to enable partners better filter and manage customers
Better experience when exporting data - to prevent customer confusion when exporting data from Mac computers, we have removed the export to excel option and exporting in CSV format by default.
    Social plugins integration updates
Starting with our May release, we are updating the social plugins support to require users to get the plugin code from the third party provider and saving into his Business Catalyst website. The module tags and configuration will remain unchanged, but will render an empty tag until the partner or site owner will  update the module template to include the corresponding module code snippet from the third party platform provider.
For more information about how you can enable the Social Plugins on a Business Catalyst websites, read the Social Media: Integrating Facebook and Twitter knowledge base article.
    Other changes
Updated weekly emails - Starting with our May release, the information in the site weekly emails has been filtered based on the site's plan. For example, webBasics site reports will no longer include the sales report.
Localization - we improved and increased the coverage of the admin interface translations into German, French and Japanese
Site Settings -> Ignored IP addresses has been relocated under Reports -> Visitors -> More.
    BC-Dreamweaver integration performance improvements
Development Dashboard has been removed, as it didn't provide a clear useful, ongoing benefit. The information present in the development dashboard has been integrated into our new Help & Support section.
Payment gateway settings - for more privacy and data protection, we have updated the Payment Gateway configuration screens to obfuscate the sensitive login information. Fields that have been obfuscated are now requiring confirmation.
Report abuse badge on trial sites - for compliance reasons, a "Report Abuse" link has been added to the front-end of all trial sites of free partners that don't have any paid sites. When they click the Report Abuse link, site visitors are redirected to a form submission page on businesscatalyst.com site.

    What's next
The first item on the what's next list might not be news for many of you, but it's definitely one of the most important milestones this year. The Creative Cloud launch is just around the corner, and Business Catalyst is playing an important role in that, as the publishing platform for Adobe® Muse and Dreamweaver. This launch will capture all our attention within the next weeks as we want it to be our best ever.
We'll start our next development cycle on May 15th, while the next Business Catalyst release is going to be pushed live in mid June. That being said, the following items are already on our launch plan for the next release and a few more will join the list. Please expect an update on our 2012 plans around mid May.
HTTP throttling – all page load and API calls to BC will be protected against attacks, this might trigger problems for API heavy sites. We are looking into enabling this update along with our June release, and will help make sure that a reasonable number of requests will be accepted from the same computer per minute.
Automatic site deletion - Starting with the June release, we are going to start automatically delete expired trial sites and canceled sites. Customers will be notified twice before we are going to proceed with deleting the sites.
    Thank you,
    Cristinel Anastasoaie
    Adobe Business Catalyst Product Manager

In reference to this change in the Custom Reports... Better experience when exporting data - to prevent customer confusion when exporting data from Mac computers, we have removed the export to excel option and exporting in CSV format by default.
What is the customer confusion we are trying to stop here? I've got even more confused customers at the moment because all of a sudden they can't find the export to excel option but know it exists if they log in on a PC?
