Driver for HP Photosmart 7510 for Mac OSX 10.8.4

Hi All,
I have an HP Photosmart printer and the drivers won't install on my new MacBookPro which has Mac OSX 10.8.4
I am unable to find any drivers on HP support for this OS. The drivers installed without any problems on my recent iMac which had OSX Lion. Can anyone help me with an answer. I can use the printer wirelessly with my iPad 3rd Gen, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch 4th Gen. Any assistance wolud be fantastic.

Download and install the drivers below, be sure to select HP Recommended Software while installing:

Printer Driver for HP Photosmart 7520 for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and 10.3 and 10.5

I just purchased a new HP Photosmart 7520 printer. One of my Macs at home is an iMac G5 that is running Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It connects to the HP printer via Wi-Fi. HP does not provide drivers for Mac OS 10.4 for the Photosmart 7520 printer. I tried all sorts of old HP drivers and finally found one that worked, so I figured I would post here to help out anyone else who is trying to solve the same problem. The driver download you need is the OS 10.4 driver for the Photosmart C7250 All-In-One printer. Here is the link to the download page:

After downloading and installing the drivers, I ran the HP Printer Setup Utility. It was not able to detect my printer. I had to go to System Preferences on my Mac and add the printer manually in the Print & Fax control panel. The Print & Fax control panel was not able to auto-select the correct driver to use, so I selected "HP" from the "Print Using" drop-down list, and then selected "HP Photosmart D7400 Series" from the "Model" list. That worked for me. Good luck!

ICC profiles for Epson R1800 and Lightroom - Mac Osx

Without trying to inflame an already heated discussion on prints that are too dark under my lightroom - printer - Mac Osx configuration. (Although I too am a sufferer of the darkness...!)
I have recently downloaded the latest ICC profiles for the R1800 directly from Epson to my Mac. There are three of them and for arguments sake they cover the paper type I want "Premium Glossy Photo Paper"
They download as a .sea file and not .icc as I expected.... My knowledge of Mac's doesnt extend to .sea files I'm afraid.
My question is what do i do with the file now that its downoaded?... Nothing happens when you double click on it and It doesnt appear to try to find where to install itself.
On another thread I read about dropping these files into Library - Colorsync - Profiles. They sit there happily but do not appear to show up in Lightroom when I wish to utilise the profiles.
All the original Epson profiles are there from when I installed the Epson Drivers (new and updated) but no new profiles are there. This is definitely the case as the profile "Premium Glossy Photo Paper" is still there but its name should be changed to "Premium Photo Paper Glossy" according to the Epson website... Besides.. If I delete the new files and go back into Lightroom nothing has changed.
Am i placing these files in the wrong area?

I suspect that some R1800 users have perhaps not tackled the issue of dark prints and may not be feel that they have an issue at all. I also believe that this particular issue only involves Intel Mac's which may not apply to some.
Your issue may have something to do with the printer driver as well... I made sure that I went and found the very latest driver that Epson has out (there is a new one specifically for Intel Mac's). I made sure that I deleted the driver that came with the original disk.... I did this via the "printer setup utility"... then downloaded and installed the new driver.
Only then did I go through the procedure for installing the new icc profiles as discussed...
The profiles should then automatically appear in Lightroom and in colosync in the "Finder" screen under:
" Users" > then whatever your computer name is > Library > Colorsync > Profiles
The new profiles should then be seen.
This is certainly the way I did it and perhaps the whole process has to be gone through for an Intel Mac.
Hope this helps... I am nowhere near a computer expert but it worked for me.

After updating flash to newer version I cant change anything in Settings Panel (the one above global settings)
I cant even close it, cant disable hardware acceleration, nothing.

Welcome , I would be happy to provide you with more information about printing with black only on the Photosmart 7510. First, here is how to make sure you are changing the black only settings; In the software program that you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print. (or Command+P)I have put a red box around the drop down in the image below, from this menu you want to choose Paper Type/QualityIn the Paper Type/Quality tab, click Color Options, (usually you have to click the little arrow, again outlined in red on the image)If you want color printouts, make sure that Greyscale is selectedChange the Greyscale mode to Black Ink Only or Black Print Ink Cartridge OnlyClick Print to try the print job again. Next you might want to read about how your ink supplies are used; The following information is from this article; Ink Usage in Inkjet Printers - it discusses several aspects of ink usage with HP printers. Ink is used in a number of ways throughout the inkjet printing process. In general, ink in an ink cartridge is used for printing documents, photographs and other such materials. Some ink, however, must be used to maintain the health of the print head; some ink is residual; and some ink evaporates. Unable to install a software driver for Canon film scanner on mac OSX 10.6

I am unable to install a software driver for a Canon film scanner FS4000US. I have downloaded it from Canon then open the package click the install and it asks for a location namely the Applications folder. Then it says it has been installed re -start etc, but still no driver.
I am using Mac OS 10.6. Any suggestions greatly received. I have repaired/disk and permissions and it still does not work.

Where is product key for InDesign CS5 located in Mac Osx?

So this is the context:
Our only Mac in head office is unable to boot up into OSx, I took it to the Genius bar to troubleshoot and they said to wipe the hard drive and re install OSx which is fine except that I need the InDesign CS5 product key off of it. We don't have the product key written down anywhere or the original software/box it came with and also, I don't know which email address InDesign is registered to because it was installed years before I was hired. But I am able to access the hard drive on the Mac and see all the files by booting off an OSx on my USB key. So my question is: does anyone know the file or where I can find the product key on the hard drive?
I'm hoping someone has run into a similiar problem and has a magical answer!

Do you still have the original proof of purchase (CS5 was released in April 2010)? E.g. check who you purchased the software through as well. Depending on the license type the supplier might even be able to assist with the S/N if they recorded it. Also if the serial number was registered against a company name, support might be able to retrieve this for you based on the domain name, but you'd need to at least have proof of purchase is my guess. (Generally they'd ask for a copy of the installer media as well to show that you have the original installer CDs/DVDs).

My external hard drive containing files from my PC (Windows 7, 64 bit), says the files are READ ONLY. I'm trying to work of files on my Macbook Pro (OSX, 10.9.2). If I have to reformat the drive, what is the best format that will work for both systems?

Help - Wrieless help for HP Photosmart C4780 Printer / Mac

I recently moved from California to North Carolina and I am having trouble connecting my HP Photosmart C4780 printer wirelessly to my MAC. I am running OS 10.8. It works through the USB but how do I connect it via wirelessly agian. It worked great in CA, but since moving here and having a new modem/router combo, it is not working.
I could not find anything so far on this site that has was helpful .
Software is up to date. just need to know how to make it work wirelessly.

If you have Windows 8 installed on your computer, try running Windows Update from the Control Panel. I couldn't locate a driver for the printer anywhere.
