I tried a web search for "toshiba mouse drivers" so I could check for up-to-date drivers for the otpical mouse for a laptop A205 toshiba computer (Windows Vista).   I found a program to download and install DriversManager, which would scan the computer and tell me what drivers could use updating.  None of the items listed seem to be specifically for the functioning of the optical mouse.    I took no further action to update any drivers, and even so, I would not understand what to do.
The basic problem for the A205 laptop is when the computer is either Started or Restarted, the connected mouse, regardless of which mouse used, will not work.  When the mouse is physically disconnected and then reconnected, it then works normally.  I hoped that a mouse driver update would be a fix for this fairly small problem.

    Great question! You can absolutely do this in OS X 10.9. The attached article explains how the process of using AirPlay with Apple TV to create a second display. Also, towards the bottom of the article there are instructions on how to set your Displays preferences on the computer to make sure the TV and MacBook Pro displays are set up the way you want them to be.

    Been lurking and doing some research (here and elsewhere) but just haven't been able to put all the pieces of my puzzle together; I'm hoping you can help.
    Here's a diagram of my situation and goals/constraints:

    Basic description - our home has two structures as follows.
    Detached garage/office space contains:
    - ONT connection (with both Ethernet and MoCA outputs - we have FiOS Internet only, so I haven't shown the MoCA wiring in the diagram)
    - Router #1 (wireless disabled, but even if enabled signal is too weak to cover entire house)
    - Desktop PC running XP Pro (w/ Cat5 but not wireless)
    - Printer #1 (w/ Cat5 but not wireless)
    - 5-port ethernet switch (can be moved to house)
    There is Cat5 wiring from the office to the house. The house contains:
    - Router #2 (wireless enabled; must be in house for acceptable coverage)
    - Laptop #1 running Win7 (Home Premium)
    - Laptop #2 running XP Pro
    - Printer #2 (w/ Cat5 but not wireless)
    - Game console (wireless-ready)
    The goals we'd like to achieve are (in order of importance):
    1) Both laptops can wirelessly access the shared files on the desktop PC
    2) Router #2 (in the house w/ wireless enabled) is the Verizon 9100EM, which has a more powerful signal than our old D-Link DI-624
    3) Both laptops can wirelessly print to either of the printers
    4) Desktop PC can print to either of the printers
    Any tips on configuring the routers (and maybe switch) so that all of these things are possible?

    Yes it should go like this ONT------>Router 1 WAN       Router 2 LAN(configured as bridge)------>Router1 LAN.
    There are 2 ways to get Wireless out of Router2.
    You can either turn the Wireless on and static configure all addresses in both buildings.
    OR
    If you would rather use DHCP, Go to Router 1 and adjust the ip range to exclude the IP range to be used on the Wireless of Router2. Then set the Wireless DHCP of router2 to the range you excluded from Router1.

    im wondering what the difference is between say....Dot5
    hosting at 5.00 a month and .. network solutions at 29.99 a month?
    my local provider here in sacramento wants 30 a month as
    well......299.oo a yr.
    should I go with a local provider? or go with ... say GoDaddy
    or some other company?
    also, registering. Im about to register my site name.
    however, some companies include it in the "packages" they offer.
    should I register it myself or let the hosting company I choose do
    it?
    sorry for the newb questions....but I cant find any good info

    my firefox displays the results of babylon which is too slow and in diffrent languages

    Try to change your deafault search provider on settings or download another firefox that is on yahoo so that your results will be viewed on yahoo + yahoo theme.

  • Something stuck in the optical drive.

    I went to put a DVD into my drive and the disk will not go in. It's as if something is already in there. Nothing shows up on my desktop as being in the drive and when I look in Disk Utility I don't see anything either. I also looked under Finder and nothing is being shown there. I know I have not placed a disk in there and now I'm fearing that the drive may have died on me. I am just out of the warranty period and I really don't want to lug this behemoth to the nearest Apple store to only pay an arm and a leg for a new superdrive. I can't even recall the last time I used the disk drive. It's hardy used at all. Is there something that I'm overlooking or maybe a simply solution to this problem? Thanks in advance!

    X423424X - None of those worked at the time of the issue. I have considered an external player but I'm not sure which kind of drive to purchase.
    babowa - I hope that's not the case and I hope it was just a small temporary issue.
    Mike Sombrio - I somewhat tried what you suggested. I did it as the last attempt before going to bed and reading your suggestion. I unplugged the mac from the wall after shutting down and left it there until the morning. I plugged it back in and the drive is alive again! It took my DVD just fine and things seem to be back to normal. So weird that this happened.

    Can someone please outline what steps are necessary for someone with a 5gig Zen Micro & Windows Media 0 to download (specifically) and eventually listen to podcasts on my Zen Micro.

    Windows Media Player 0 help files are very well done, and perhaps your answer is in there...
    But as for folder creation: WMP0 arranges your music as Artist\Album\Song.mp3, doesn't matter how you have it structured on your computer, WMP0 will arrange it like that. If you use Windows Explorer then it will keep the same arrangement as your computer, like you already know.
    Despite this arrangement, if you still want WMP0 to make folders on your player then:
    Connect the Micro
    Open up WMP0
    Click on Tools-> Options
    Click on Devices tab
    Select your player and click Properties
    Under the Synchronization tab check the box for <i>Create folder hierarchy on device</i>
    As for playlist creation, WMP0 will only transfer playlists using the Auto-sync options. If you select which songs to transfer over then it will not transfer that playlist, just the songs inside it. To make a playlist you will have to use Zen Media Explorer, or whatever program that supports it like Media Source, or even make them manually on the player itself.

    I don't really think Nokia would make phones with Android OS in it.
    Nokia Belle has almost similarity with Android, especially with that pull-bar notification bar.
    After all, Android is quite laggy, my friend's S3 keeps lagging with games installed (But not open). Jellybean will probably fix that, but not too sure about it.
    And hey, at least Windows Phone are smoother on less capable hardware!
    If you want Android, only because you want those hundred thousands of apps, Windows Phone Store is also expanding and have been doing very good now.
    After all, who needs so much apps say...1000?

  • RFC for log settings in the GUI for stats

    We've used a variety of stats packages for the virtual hosts we support. A few customers prefer this service, and some want to have their own stats available (the majority don't care). So this is a question about log management. We try to let the GUI in 10.5 manage as much as possible (for in-house admin needs, as well as the expectation that Apple's GUI needs to be tested to tell the Server Group where the hiccups are and missing features ought to be.
    What would you recommend as a default setting for access and error logs? Dump all into the default common logs, and roll them every 7/14/30 days? Let the stats packages process and divide out for sharing with clients when those cron jobs kick in?
    or always split out the logs separately into each VH home, and process separately?
    What workflow functions best in your opinion?

    This brings to mind another question (don't they all?)... and why I'm hoping for more documentation on the manner in which logs are managed and rolled in the SA interface.
    If all logs were stored in the one monster log file set (access/error), and subsequently were set to be rolled at 7 days, when is this actually triggered? Is there a hard-coded time, or just whenever each setting was changed as the starting point. (One wonders if the log rolling occurs precisely at the point in which the command was invoked or is it at 2 a.m. for the appropriate day in question?)
    And if all logs were not split out, is there a mechanism by which the default access/error logs could be rolled. Our stats package can split out VH entries properly. so that wouldn't be a problem.
    I can easily see where a log policy needs to be established early on to preclude such issues, but knowing the behavior of the log rolling and cron jobs invoked by the SA would be really helpful.

    iTunes Match is $24.99. If you feel like you were charged incorrectly, you can get help from expresslane.apple.com - it may be that you were charged for something else at the same time so $34.99 is what appeared on your statement?

  • Simple directions for setting up a new magic mouse?

    Have the original mouse, which keeps losing its connection.  I am replacing it with a brand new Magic Mouse and have looked all over for directions to connect with with my MAC, discontinue the original mouse, and start using the new one.  I have checked all my updates and downloaded the most current magic mouse software.  A pop up says there is a new version of the download already loaded, but I can't find it. 
    Can someone tell me if I really need a new mouse and can help me correct my connection loss on my orginal mouse or help me, step by step, to connect the new one?  Thank you all.

    Reset the PRAM to see if that helps the old mouse.
    Setting up the new one should be turn it on and it should pair.

  • Curve 8530 - optical mouse won't click in the internet browser

    The optical mouse works fine in everything, except in the internet browser.  I can still access links by putting the mouse over the link and hitting the "return" button on the keyboard, but I used to be able to click the optical mouse to access the links directly.  Now, when I click the optical mouse, it does not register.  Again, I don't think it's a hardware problem since it works fine in all the other functions.

  • Optical mouse for 10.6

    I've been trying various LASER mice for months, and I just can't get them adjusted to the feel I like. I love the OPTICAL mouse I use at work, on a Windows machine. Then I read about laser mice being more sensitive than optical mice, so maybe I just like a less sensitive mouse.
    But I'm having trouble finding an optical mouse that says it's compatible with Snow Leopard.
    Any suggestions? I would prefer wireless, but a wired USB mouse would be OK. Also, preferably one that is NOT designed for laptop or mobile use.

    I haven't tried the Magic Mouse, but I replaced the Mighty Mouse the same day I bought the iMac.

All was well until the events I entered on the phone were showing up in Outlook, but not the other way around. I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel.  I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version). 
    The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.”  After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.
    Sound familiar?  Any ideas on how to solve this iCloud/Outlook issue?  Thanks much in advance!
