DRM and Android tablet

I am unable to unlock my textbooks on my tablet and have been told Adobe Reader no longer supports DRM. Is there another option?

Unable to download bt fon app to Bebook Live android tablet.  Apparently its not compatable.  Can anything be done or do I just miss out on a service I'm paying for?
Just log into FON using a web browser, no app is needed.
Scan for the FON wireless network, and connect to it, then launch your browser and you will get the log on page.

  • Digital Publishing for iPhone and Android tablets

I am an Adobe CC member and could successfully publish an Apple iPad App in the App Store. Now I would like to publish also for iPhone and Android tablets. I think this is not possible alone with the Adobe CC. Do I need for that the Professional Edition?

    Hi Bob,
... so there is nothing on the horrizon, nothing in the forseeable future concerning a single edition iPhone or Android app?
    best,

ps. when Adobe fixed their “go to“ “nav to“ bug, we got in to the App Store. Yea!
If it isn´t inappropriate, here is a link to the app. It´s called the Reykjavik Shopping Gude.

  • Sync not working between Window laptop with FF32 and android tablet with FF 32

    Computer is Windows 7
    Labtop is android
    Both devices have FF 32
As far as I know, sync has been set up correctly on both devices. But they still aren't syncing. It looks as though I've missed a setting somewhere. I tried to follow instructions from an earlier version, but the menu was different and I couldn't find the counterparts for this version. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Jane

    Hi gohim2j,
Thank you for your question, I understand that there are two devices attached to your sync account that do not appear as they are syncing. Please try the following steps to kick start the sync:
    # Make a copy of the profile folder for a back up of the current data.
    # Remove the account from each of the devices, (on the desktop from the "3 bar" menu select "Options" and click on sync. Next to the email, remove account. On the mobile device, go to accounts and select Firefox, tap on the account name and select "Remove account")
    # On the desktop, go to accounts.firefox.com and sign into the account. When you reach the notification "Sync will begin momentarily" close Firefox. Open Firefox and select the Tools menu and click "Sync Now"
    # On the mobile device, re-add the account. Go to the same url accounts.firefox.com and sign into your sync account. Once it has been added, go to the sync menu with the list of check boxes are to select what to sync. Are there any notifications there? Sometimes there will be a warning asking to toggle Auto-sync. Once this is done from the Data menu of the Android device, the sync process will begin.
    # Wait for a bit, then go to the Desktop to check for the "Mobile Bookmarks" folder in the Bookmark's manager.
Did it start to sync? If not it is possible to investigate any error in the sync logs. I can provide instructions on how to do this with your response.

  • How can I sync a new desktop computer to an existing sync account, already set up in an android tablet?

The story is, I had my desktop and android tablet synced, with a significant amount of bookmarks in the desktop PC. Then my desktop hard drive was reformatted and Win XP reinstalled.
I had not taken note of the recovery key previously (nor backed up the firefox profile), thinking that I would just easily sync the "new" desktop back to the existing account.
I can see the synced bookmarks in my tablet (but associated to the now nonexistent desktop).
I just can't find a way of retrieving the sync key or recovery key from the android tablet, to be able to join the "new" desktop to the same account.
Anyone have any idea of how to do it?
I've seen references to an add-on that would show the key but it doesn't work with the current firefox version (19)
An alternative would be to export the bookmarks from the tablet, but I couldn't find how to do it either. The option to export is not there on the android version.
    Thanks in advance!

I've tried, but it requires me to enter a Recovery Key and I can't find a way to retrieve that from the android tablet.
    Am I missing something?

  • Analytics for Apple and Android

    Hi,
I have de DPS pro and you like to know if possible have separate information from my folio (the same) downloads and access in iPad and Android tablets.
I use the same folio to upload to 2 apps, each one in Apple / Android.
Or I need have folios diferents? Any ideia?
    Best regards
    Felipe

    Hi Felipe,
Within the Base analytics (DPS Pro Dashboard) it is not possible to segment per platform. This will be noted as a possible feature request.

  • Detect iOs and Android in Adobe Muse

    Hi all,
I have a website for downloading iPad and Android tablet Enterprise app. Now i have 2 buttons in it to download Android and Ios app and i need to change it to single button. Is there any way to do it using Adobe Muse.

Currently you can use In-Payments on iOS using the Native Extensions feature available in AIR 3.
I have written a native extension for In-App Purchases on iOS. You can give it a try http://code.google.com/p/in-app-purchase-air-ios/
Please go throght the Wiki and links given on project homepage, also submit the issue if you face any
BTW: You can use it with AIR 3 RC Release currently available on Labs and to be released soon...

  • Will there be mobile Apps for windows 8 / 8RT and Android? And if so, when?

Does anybody know, if there are plans to bring the new mobile Apps to windows 8 and Android tablets?
I'm very disappointed of Adobe, that they made them only available for ipad users. A samsung galaxy note or a windows 8 tablet would be much more useful for working with them, because of the pen and the higher computing power.
I won't subscribe to creative cloud, until I can use the mobile Apps on my microsoft surface RT!
This whole, 'only iOS Apps' thing is sooo annoying...

That is a very disappointing answer. So I don't know, if I can use my surface for working, until adobe releases the apps. And if they don't, I suffer.

  • "drm device registration failed" Verizon Media Manager android tablet

I get the error "drm device registration failed" using Verizon Media Manager on an android tablet.  Any ideas? You get this error if the device is "rooted" (meaing you have full root access).  There is an app in the Google Play Store that will temporarily allow you to un-root the device, and when done the registration will work.   I use OTA RootKeeper to temporarily un-root and then re-root.  The device must be un-rooted each time you attempt to use the Verizon Medai Manager app to view content.

  • Previously activated DRM in Aldiko on my android tablet is no longer working

I have previously activated DRM in Aldiko on my android tablet with no problem. I imported a new ebook into Aldiko yesterday, with no problem for this book, but the DRM on all my other previously purchased ebooks was then de-authorized. When I try to open one of these old ebooks, I am asked to activate the DRM, but if I login using the same Adobe ID used to purchase the ebooks, and which previously worked, it fails to authorize the ebooks. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Aldiko, and deleting and reimporting the ebooks, but nothing works... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi thorvath, thank you for reporting this. unfortunately this is a problem with the android lollipop update that you've received on your htc one m8 from verizon at the moment.
there is a fix for this issue by mozilla already in the pipeline, so please look out for a firefox update in the google play store in the coming days.

  • Transfer DRM books to android tablets

Is it possible to transfer DRM books to an android tablet (BQ Edison) so i can read the book without a wifi or 3g connection?

You should be able to install Bluefire on the tablet.
Register it with the same Adobe ID you use on ADE.
Copy the book to the tablet, either using a usb connection and file manager copy of the file to the tablet as mounted drive,
or copy more indirectly using utility such as Dropbox.
You should then be able to read the books on Bluefire.

  • EPUB exported from InDesign works on iPad and not on Android tablets

I've edxported several similar books to EPUB from InDesign CS5, using the same technique each. After exporting from InDesign, there's a lot of tweaking of the HTML code and some changes to the content.opf and toc.ncx, but the finished product for all of the books works fine on iPads but some do not work on Android tablets. There are six separate InDesign documents in each epub book...three small, one large, and then two small. Some of the books work fine on Android tablets, but for some of them, the first three documents show up fine, but when one advances to the large document, the book closes. There's no error message. Any ideas what the problem might be? Are there size limitations for documents on Android machines?

As you have found out - it doesn't work.

  • How do I take all the bookmarks on my android tablet and sync them with my desktop, if I've had to change my recovery key?

Anciallry to my profile becoming corrupted on Desktop Computer A (windows 7), and a subsequent sync of the corrupt information to Desktop Computer B (OSX 10.6), I'm left with all 1400ish bookmarks residing on Mobile Device C (Android Tablet).
During my attempts to restore, I had firefox services generate a new Recovery Key, prior to my knowing that my bookmarks were stored in "C".
when attempting to sync now, on the desktop, i see:

the android device logs arent as friendly to export, but i see similar complaints about crypto.

It sounds like your desktop profile is (still?) corrupt; it's failing to process the wipe on bookmarks. So let's be super thorough: we'll clean up the desktop, then reconnect so the Android device's data will replace it.
My suggestion is to do the following. Read all of the steps before you start. I recommend that your Android device is on wifi.
    # On your Android device, go to Settings > Accounts & sync. Remove your Sync account. Your Firefox profile will be unchanged.
    # On your desktop, create a new profile.
    # On the new profile, assuming you want to re-use your Sync account, follow the instructions below.
    # Re-pair your Android device with the new desktop profile, and wait for it to finish syncing before syncing the desktop.
Connecting to an existing sync account:
    # Set Up Sync
    # I have an account
    # I don't have the device with me
    # Enter username and password, choose "I have lost my other device"
    # You'll get a dialog with a new recovery key. Choose "Change recovery key".
Let me know if you have any problems!
