DRM validation for description(aka - alias)

Hello room - I am trying to have a validation to prevent user from altering any node description that has the word "inactive". This is what I am thinking could be done:
if(equals(String,priordescr,"*inactive*),True,False)
The only problem is there's no "priordescr" property I could find in DRM. Please help!

Thanks Ramesh for helping. My goal is to allow users change the description of a node if it does not have the word "inactive". I have not found any property that stores the previous value so that when the users change description and save, the validation will look at the previous value and approve it or not.

Hello Gurus,
I have two hierarchies named A & B respectively. I need to create a validation for nodes in hierarchy A which checks value of a property such that the node should have property value equal to any node name in Hierarchy B.
Means the values for that particular property for nodes in hierarchy A should exist as a node in hierarchy B.
It would be very grateful if some one can provide an idea to achieve this.

Try this in a formula type validation-
NodeInHier(PropValue(Custom.PropName),B)
This would return false if the property value is not a node in Hierarchy B and True if it is.
So you will get a validation message every time the property is loaded with a value which is not node in Hierarchy B.

Validation for Exchange Rate

I am trying to create a validation with an user exit.
I have enhanced RGGBR000 to compare for translation date in BKPF to that of TCURR.
Problem I am facing is, I dont know how to put U100 user exit as check and rule in GGB0.

Read first sap online documentation or customizing documentation (Financial Accounting, Financial Accounting Global Settings, Document, Line Item /or/ Document Header, Define Validations for Posting - aka OB28)
Alternative : don't use RGGBR000 but copy it to an include in your namespace (Zxxx) and read the comments in the source.
At least: Add some lines in FORM GET_EXIT_TITLES similar to add information on your exit that will be availabnle in OB28 and add your FORM at end of incmude) all is written in comment of RGGBR000 source.

DRM-79819: Encryption error: Config file encryption is not valid for this m

Hi ALL,
Suddenly we got this error while running an export via batch utility. any ideas?
Error: DRM-79819: Encryption error: Config file encryption is not valid for this machine.

This could be an issue with your drm-config.xml file, the file that stores the DRM configuration information defined in the DRM Console. If a drm-config.xml was restored from an old backup or copied from another machine, this could well be the issue.
In this case, you can run the DRM Console to update the file and correct it. You may see a one-time error reported when the DRM Console starts up, but the Console app should correct the file automatically after reporting the error to the user.
If this does not resolve your issue, review the Windows App Event Log, to determine which DRM Server process(es) are also reporting this error (to narrow down any other potential issues with a config file for one of the DRM Server executables). I am guessing this error was observed in just the DRM Batch client, but related Event Log should also be present in the App Event Log.

*** An additional note, if your issue proves to be the one above, you may need re-enter passwords on your defined Database Connections for defined DRM Apps. Try just re-running the DRM Console and re-saving the config initially, but be aware this may be a required additional step, re-entering the DB passwords after the updated encryption has been applied to the stored drm-config.xml file.

SSO is not working - User is missing credentials for connecting to alias

Dear Experts,
I am facing a strange problem in SSO with reference system user mapping. I have configured reference system user mapping for accessing R/3 for ESS/MSS and transactional iviews along with UWL. The SSO was configured 2 months ago and was working fine till yesterday.
Since this Monday, (2 days), the system connection tests are failing on connector. But, ESS/MSS & Transaction iviews with SAP Logon tickets are working fine. But, while trying to access UWL tasks, SSO is failing. Following is the error message -
"Exception occured Exception type:com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.connect.ConnectorException Message:Tue Aug 11 09:46:58 CEST 2009
(Connector) :com.sap.portal.connectivity.destinations.PortalDestinationsServiceException:User is missing credentials for connecting to alias <Aliassystem>. Contact your system administrator. "
I have created a destination for the respective backend in Visual Admin > node > services > Destinations as some tasks are not visible in UWL as per Note- 1133821, 2 weeks ago.It was working fine till yestreday. While testing from destinations, for Connected User(SAP Logon ticket Assertion ticket) , getting the error message -
Error During ping operation:Ticket contain no/an emplty ABAP user id(refer note 1159962). The destination is successfully connected with configured user.
But from the Tracecollector logs, I can see that the mapped user is set in the SAP Logon ticket and the User <ABCD> is existing in the target ECC system. More over, the SSO with refence system user mapping is working fine for ESS/MSS and Transaction based iviews. It is failing only for UWL tasks and also in system connection tests for connector. ITS was failing since the beginning.WAS is successful even now.
Trace file info -
Mapped user [ABCD] set in SAP Logon Ticket. The authenticated user is [<portaluserid>]. Authentication stack: [ticket]..

Can you pls advise where to look for fixing the SSO - missing user details for UWL destination?

JavaScript - Error: The security validation for this page is invalid...

Hi there,
I have a question regarding javascript and the security validation.
I have created a custom action for a document library. This custom action should update a field in all selected documents by the user. But when I do the update, I got this error message:
"The security validation for this page is invalid. Click Back in your Web browser, refresh the page, and try your operation again."
I know, I could AllowUnsafeUpdates, if I were using C#, but actually I can only use JavaScript at this stage. Or does anybody know, how to allow this or switch to C# in this area?

Ok, I found the reason.
I just had to replace the SP.ClientContext line in JavaScript.
Instead of

we have developed packages to do the followings
Extract data from DB2 Source and put it in MS Sql Server 2008 database (Lets Say DatabaseA).From MS Sql Server 2008 (DatabaseA)
we will process the data and place it in another database MS Sql Server 2008 (DatabaseB)
We have created packages in BIDS..We created datasource connection in Datasource folder in BIDS..Which has DB2 Connection and both Ms Sql Server connection (Windows authentication-Let
say its pointing to the server -ServerA which has DatabaseA and DatabaseB).The datasource connections will be used in packages during development.
For deployment we have created Package Configuration which will have both DB2 Connection and MS SqlServer connection in the config
We deployed the packages in different MS SqlServer by changing the connectionstring in the config for DB2 and MS SqlServer...
While runing the package we are getting the following error message

Hi Surendiran,
This is because the package has been created by somebody else and the package is being deployed under sombody else's account. e.g. If you are the creator then the package is encryption set according to your account and the package setup in SQL server is
under a different user account.
This happens because the package protection level is set to EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey which encrypts
sensitive information using creator's account name.
As a solution:
Either you have to set up the package in SQL server under your account (which some infrastructures do not allow).
OR
Set the package property Protection Level to "DontSaveSensitive" and add a configuration file
to the package and set the initial values for all the variables and all the connection manager in that configuration file (which might be tedious of-course).
OR
The third options (which I like do) is to open the package file and delete the password encryption entries from the package. Do note that this is not supported by designer and every time you make changes to the connection managers these encryption entries come
back.

I initially had my packages set to 'EncryptSensitivewithPassword' and usedthe config files. My job executes fine. But I noticed I was getting THE error "......Key not valid for use in specified state.....". So, I change the protection level
to 'DontSaveSensitive' , saved packaged ,build and re-imported it. And I still get the same result.
What am I doing wrong??   Package is on the same server where it was built.

IFS-12635: SimpleXmlParser: Value(10/10/99) not valid for type (Date)

I am trying to uplaod an xml document sample which has an attribute of date datatype.
My sample is :

I am getting this error:
IFS-12635: SimpleXmlParser: Value(10/10/99) not valid for type (Date).
If I input just the "name attribute" value, there is no problem. What is the date format, I should use?

Is there any way to specify the format in the custom type document itself. ? I do not want to specify the format in every document sample. Is there any way that it is possible. If I give the format in the document samples, as Matt said, there is no problem.

Is database link only 'valid' for instances in the same server?

Background: We have 5 servers and installed Oracle 7.3 and 8.
Problem: I managed to create database link to other instance in same server; but not to other server. Error message received was :
ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found
: TNS server name not found
BUT: I managed it with 'copy from ' command in SQL*plus.
Question: Is database link only 'valid' for instances in the same server?

One instance of dbcontrol/dbconsole will support only one database. If you do not use Grid Control (extra installation, extra license) you will need to use the emca utility or one of the options in the dbca utility to configure a seperate instance of dbcontrol for each database. Don't worry about the ports, the creation utility will take care of it and report what it does.

Parameter Validation for invalid date entered

I enter an invalid date like 99/08/2014 as one of the parameters for my report and get the following error.
The value provided for the report parameter 'P1' is not valid for its type. (rsReportParameterTypeMismatch)
To the report user audience, this message is not meaningful and it happened before the report is even executed .
Is there any way to override this and put a more meaningful error in ?

According to your description, you want to custom the error message when the input date value is invalid. In Reporting Services, it doesn’t provide any interference for us to modify the system error message (the text in grey color). That means we can’t modify
the system message when error occurs. However we can create a textbox in this report, use custom code and expression to display the custom error message. For more details, please refer to the following steps:
Go to Report Properties. Put the code below into custom code:

Accented characters lost in description of alias email address

I recently noted that accented characters are lost in long name description of email alias address when using Mail.app but ok when using webmail in iCloud.com
Setup in the prefs of the master mail account in iCloud, the long name description "Frédéric" for the corresponding alias <[email protected]>
is transcripted as "Frdric" in Mail.app when selecting the sender address in the dropdown list box
However, all is fine when using webmail within iCloud.com
The problem appears only with OSX not with iOS
I have been using my alias with accented char in its long name description for the last 4 years with Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion until recently. I can replicate on 3 differents Macs. Even tried to create a new user account. Same stuff.
Any views? Can someone replicate?

I found the same problem but only when creating an alias. The dropdown menu on mail app is not showing the accent and when is sent the name arrives to the sander as-is without the letter carrying the accent. No problems on iCloud interface though.
See, first one is my main icloud account, the second one is an alias account on icloud. Both have the same ó character but only shows in the main one.
Will someone help us fix that? Will apple fix that weird iCloud behavior?

Hi all,
I had the exact same error using a user decision configuration. Issue was that I was using a VIEW that did not exist:
ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS90300005" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultApprovalView">
DefaultApprovalView was not defined as a custom view.
SOLUTION: changed it to standard SAP com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.approvaloverview view and it worked!

This is normally by default defined in a standard portal system.

Excel 2007 throws "this action is valid for the products which are currently installed" while i try to open .txt file format.

We have Windows 2008 r2 TS, on which we have MS office 2007 Standard installed. There are almost 50 users on this particular machine.
The problem is we get an error message when we try to open a .txt file in Excel (Right click on .txt file--> Open with --> Excel). Error message is as follows "this action is valid for the products which are currently installed".
Previously this was faced by all users so we completely reinstalled it, which worked, except for 1 user. Currently i have recreated the profile for that particular user but that also didn't helped.
A drag-drop approach works but user don't want it that way.
Now am clueless in terms of where should i look into. Any help would really be helpful.

Register dll file
To register a dll or
ocx file, open a command prompt windows as an administrator, type the following and hit Enter:

Unregister dll file
To un-register a dll or
ocx file, open a command prompt windows as an administrator, type the following and hit Enter:
regsvr32 /u “path & filename of dllor
ocx“
Note: This will register or unregister the
dll file.
