DSNewHandle fails with 2-D handle
All;
The following bit of code (StringRowAdd) mem-faults in a LV-called DLL, the other code (StringAdd) works fine. Can a programming god figure out what I'm doing wrong here?
...Dan
void StringRowAdd(TD4Hdl in_array, char *string[], int cols)
int i=0, j=0;
j = (*in_array)->dimSizes[0] * (*in_array)->dimSizes[1];
(*in_array)->dimSizes[0]++; if (j == 0)(*in_array)->dimSizes[1] = cols;
for (i=0; i
(*in_array)->String[j + i] = (LStrHandle)(DSNewHandle(sizeof(int32) + strlen(string[i])*sizeof(char)));
/* (*(*in_array)->String[j + i])->cnt=strlen(string[i]);
strcpy((*(*in_array)->String[j + i])->str, string[i]); */}
void StringAdd(TD2Hdl in_array, char *string)
int i, j;
j = (*in_array)->dimSize++;
(*in_array)->String[j] = (LStrHandle)(DSNewHandle(sizeof(int32) + strlen(string)*sizeof(char)));
(*(*in_array)->String[j])->cnt=strlen(string);
strcpy((*(*in_array)->String[j])->str, string);
typedef struct {
int32 dimSize;
LStrHandle String[1];
} TD2;
typedef TD2 **TD2Hdl;
typedef struct {
int32 dimSizes[2];
LStrHandle String[1];
} TD4;
typedef TD4 **TD4Hdl;
Hello dgholstein,
I could not see any glaring errors in the code snippet you posted. You may want to look closer at your for loop and confirm that you are not iterating out of your String array's bounds.
It may also be helpful to run your compilers debugger while calling the DLL in LabVIEW and watch the allocations in real time.
Good luck with the development.

Matt F

Bind DMA handle fails with Solaris 10 x86
Our device driver and device uses no scatter gather and
we have always set the sgllen filed of the DMA_ATTR to 1.
Even so, ddi_dma_buf_bind_handle() would often result in
more than one dma cookie for a transfer on most x86 systems.
We handle this in the device driver, starting a new transfer from
the device for each cookie.
Along comes Solaris 10 and ddi_dma_buf_bind_handle() fails with a
DDI_DMA_TOOBIG error for all DMA transfer over 1200 bytes or so.
We are not sure what changed in Solaris 10 to cause our method to
no longer work.
Is the correct thing to simply set the sgllen field to -1?Following up on my previous post ....
Setting the dma_attr_sgllen field of the DMA_ATTR to -1
does seem to solve the problem for Solaris 10. It works
on sparc v9, intel32 and amd64 platforms.
However, it does not work with Solaris 9 on x86 platforms.
In this case, ddi_dma_buf_bind_handle() fails with a
DDI_DMA_BADATTR error.
On sparc platforms it does not seem to matter. A value of
either 1 or -1 works for both Solaris 9 and 10.
In order to maintain backwards compatibility, we will need to
make use of autoconf variables, having our conifgure script
substitute an appropriate value for the dma_attr_sgllen
based on the host operating system version. -
System Update 5.03 install fails with 'wizard was interrupted'
I have a W520 that I have upgraded to Win 8.1. I'm trying to install the System Update utility and InstallShield Wizard fails with:

I have copied the CPMSTRMGMAPC00_0.SCA file on the usr\sap\trans\EPS\in\ directory and the deployment precessus failed with error before the AS JAVA has been restarted.
How can i manage this problem? Any suggestion is welcomed.
Thank you very much.

I am having a hard time migrating a C++ CryptoAPI-based application that currently runs on Windows Server 2008 to Windows 8.1. The scenario is:
This application is eventually triggered by WatchDog.exe, which in its turn is triggered when the computer is started by Windows' Task Scheduler.
Task Scheduler uses the following rules to start the WatchDog.exe:
A Administrator User Account;
Run Whether user is logged on or not;
UNCHECKED: Do not store password. The task will only have access to local resources;
Run with Highest Privileges;
Configure for Win 8.1;
Triggered at system startup.
The server sits there, nobody logged, until in a given scenario WatchDog.exe starts the application. Application log confirms that the owner of the process (GetUserName)
is the very same user Task Scheduler used to trigger WatchDog.exe.
It turns out that this application works fine in Windows Server 2008, but in windows 8.1 a call to CryptAcquireContext fails
with return code ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (2L). The odd thing is that the application will NOT fail if, when started, the user is physically logged
on the machine, although it was not the user who started the application manually.
I took a look at the documentation and
found:
"The profile of the user is not loaded and cannot be found. This happens when the application impersonates a user, for example, the IUSR_ComputerName account."
I had never heard of impersonification, so I made a research and found the APIs LogonUser,ImpersonateLoggedOnUser and RevertToSelf.
I then updated the application in this way:
HANDLE hToken;
if (! LogonUser(L"admin", L".", L"XXXXXXXX", LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH, LOGON32_PROVIDER_DEFAULT, &hToken))
logger->log (_T("Error logging on."));
else
logger->log (PMLOG_LEVEL_TRACE, _T("Logged on."));
if (! ImpersonateLoggedOnUser(hToken))
logger->log (_T("Error impersonating."));
else
logger->log (_T("Impersonated."));
err = XXXXXXXXX(); // calls function which will execute CryptAcquireContext
if (! RevertToSelf())
logger->log (_T("Error reverting."));
else
logger->log (_T("Reverted."));
Excerpt with the call to CryptAcquireContext:
// Get the handle to the default provider.
if(! CryptAcquireContext(&hCryptProv, cryptContainerName, MS_ENHANCED_PROV, PROV_RSA_FULL, 0))
DWORD e = GetLastError();
_stprintf_s (logMsg, 1000, _T("Error %ld acquiring cryptographic provider."), e);
cRSALogger->log (logMsg);
return ERR_CCRYPT_NO_KEY_CONTAINER;
cRSALogger->log (_T("Cryptographic provider acquired."));
As the result, I got the log:
[2015/01/08 20:53:25-TRACE] Logged on.
[2015/01/08 20:53:25-TRACE] Impersonated.
[2015/01/08 20:53:26-ERROR] Error 2 acquiring cryptographic provider.
[2015/01/08 20:53:26-TRACE] Reverted.
That seems to show that impersonation is working properly, but still I get Error 2 (ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) on CryptAcquireContext.
Summary:
On Windows Server 2008, the very same application runs properly even without the calls to LogonUser/Impersonate/Revert.
On Windows 8.1, the application, with or without the calls to LogonUser/Impersonate/Revert, will only work properly if the user is logged on (which
is not acceptable).
Any thoughts where I can run to in order to get this working on windows 8.1?
Thank in advance,
DanThere are a couple of issues.
Based on the parameters being used in CryptAcquireContext(). A profile needs to be loaded and your app has to be running as the same user who created the keyset. (which is why it works when a user is logged on Windows 8.1) Also, impersonation
does not load your user profile, you need to call LoadUserProfile(). It seems like you should be using a machine keyset for your scenario if you want to do this when nobody is logged on.
Take a look at the following KB article for more information.
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/238187?wa=wsignin1.0
thanks

Hi everybody,
I have a problem on inserting a blank string into a NOT NULL VARCHAR2 field by using a parameter on Oracle Data Provider for .NET (Version 9.2.0.4.0). It is possible to insert any strings with non-blank characters using a parameter and it is possible to insert blank strings using SQLPlusWorksheet, so it must be a problem of using ODP.
It seems to me when using parameters, strings are trimmed in some way, therefore a blank string is handled like an empty string is handled like NULL.
However, we need to insert blank strings and we really want to use parameters because of the performance gain.
Does anybody know how to handle blank strings with parameters or is it impossible because of a bug?
Thanks,
Rainer

at Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQuery()I have same problem.
I have 10.2 provider installed and I need to insert string.Empty in "VARCHAR2(200) NOT NULL" column:
Here is the code:
using (OracleConnection connection = GrinderHlp.OpenConnection(ConnectionString))
using (OracleCommand command = connection.CreateCommand())
command.CommandText = @"INSERT INTO dz_hist_data (par_value, time_stamp, quality, updated_when, g_time_stamp, obj_id, par_id, stat_aggr)
VALUES (:Value, :Time, :Quality, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP, :GTime, :ObjId, :ParId, :AggId)";
OracleParameter p1 = command.Parameters.Add("Value", OracleDbType.Varchar2, 50, ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleParameter p2 = command.Parameters.Add("Time", OracleDbType.Date, ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleParameter p3 = command.Parameters.Add("Quality", OracleDbType.Int16, ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleParameter p6 = command.Parameters.Add("GTime", OracleDbType.Date, ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleParameter p0 = command.Parameters.Add("ObjId", OracleDbType.Int32, ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleParameter p4 = command.Parameters.Add("ParId", OracleDbType.Int32, ParameterDirection.Input);
OracleParameter p5 = command.Parameters.Add("AggId", OracleDbType.Int32, ParameterDirection.Input);
p0.Value = 15004;
p1.Value = "";
p2.Value = DateTime.Now;
p3.Value = 192;
p4.Value = 1974;
p5.Value = 3;
p6.Value = DateTime.UtcNow;
command.ExecuteNonQuery();
The code fails with ORA-01400.
I tried to use OracleDbType.Char, .NChar and NVarchar2 instead of OracleDbType.Varchar2 and result was the same.
Here is the table structure:
CREATE TABLE dz_hist_data
(obj_id NUMBER(16,0) NOT NULL,
par_value VARCHAR2(200) NOT NULL,

stat_aggr NUMBER NOT NULL,

Transport fails with return code 12 for 0CHANOTASSIGNED Characteristics
Dear Experts,
I am transporting the 0CHANOTASSIGNED characteristics from BI Dev to BI QA.
In BI Dev, I use the option Necessary Object.
While importing request into BI QA, it fails with a return code 12. Some of the errors are:
Start of the after-import method RS_IOBJ_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) IOBJ (Activation Mode)
System error in lock management
Error AD 025 during after import handling of objects with type(s) IOBJ
Start of the after-import method RS_IOBC_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) IOBC (Activation Mode)
Error when checking the InfoObjectCatalog 0CHANOTASSIGNED
InfoObject 0ABCINDIC is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ABCPRC_TYP is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ABCPROCESS is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ACCT_TYPE is not available in active version
InfoObject 0ACTIONREAS is not available in active version
This goes on for lot of infoobjects. If I were to goto RSA1 of BI QA and check any of the above objects, they are 'INACTIVE'.
But they are 'ACTIVE' in BI Dev.
Please help me in resolving this issue.
Thanks and BR,
Raj JainHi I.R.K,
I recreated a trasnport for just one Infoobject (0ABCINDIC) which was one of the objects not active as shown in the logs of BI QA while transport.
I did not make any changes or delete any data etc. I then just transported these request from BI Dev to BI QA.
The transport was successful with return code 0. I then checked this object in RSD1 of BI QA and it was activated.
Any ideas what may be the cause???
Thanks,
Raj Jain -

Here is the complete smsts.log: http://1drv.ms/1pwTEBf
To explain the Problem in Detail:
The SCCM Primary Site Server and the Clients are in different trusted (bidirectional) forests!
Everythings working fine in this Scenario, I can install SCCM Agent on the Clients with Manual ccmsetup and with Client Push Installation. Additionally i can deploy Software Updates and so on... only OSD is crashing in the releaserequest step.
During my Tasksequence new Clients are joined to Domain A while SCCM Primary Site Server is installed in Domain B
If I change my TS and let the Clients also join Domain B everything works without any Problems and the Tasksequence finish without any Errors.
My Problem must be related to the different Domains and the forest trust.
My Setup:
MP published to DNS in both domains
Schema Extended in both domains
System Management Container published and verified in both domains
ccmsetup Parameters in TS: ccmsetup SMSMP=sccm.domain.b FSP=sccm.domain.b DNSSUFFIX=Domain.b
Network Access account configured with Domain B account
Domain Join account has create Computer rights on the OU in Domain A (Domain join is successful)
DNs conditional forwarders configured in both Domains and DNS resolutin is working in both directions
Any suggestions?
Many thanks.
regards,
ChristianHi Christian,
So do you actual get an error message in your TS or is it just failing to join Domain B? (Could be both if the machines fails to join the domain).
Can you review netsetup.log on the machines after the issue and see what error message you might be getting during the domain join process?
Also, if it a domain join issue, can you try manually joining to domain B using the same service account? -
Insert into CLOB fails with Oracle ODBC driver version 9.02.00.65
I tried to insert into CLOB using the latest Oracle ODBC driver 9.02.00.65 and it fails. But the same works with earlier versions of ODBC driver earlier to 9.02.00.65 ie., 9.02.00.63.
Here is the code snippet I tried. Any help now is highly appreciated as I am in the crunch time.
I tried the same code snippet with VARCHAR2 column with the same driver and it works.

Since 9.2 has been desupported for error correction you will not be able to download that version from OTN. You should ask whoever is providing the training if their is an alternate version you can use. The only versions that you will be able to download from oracle.com is 10.2 11.1, and 11.2. -

Hi All,
When I submit one request of report, the request end up with error:

The request costs too much tablespace in short time, but the temp is about 20 G large.
The sever have been add storage recently, but I don't know whether it is related to the performance issue, because the request had not such issue.
How do I deal with it ?
Thanks,

Hi
I wanted to refresh my dev environment quickly..
As we also wanted to migrate from exp/imp to datapump, I tried these..
Only thing worked for me is impdp on network mode using remap schema.
1)First i wanted to implement expdp and impdp standard procedures(Full database export/import)
My expdp failed with the following error on a full export..
Pls see below:

Job "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_FULL_01" stopped due to fatal error at 13:39:48So its basically these 2 issues I want to know how to fix.
1-expdp error cause and fix
2-impdp error cause and fix -Also how to avoid object alreay exists error?
Also for example the package etc. is the same name..but i want new package from LIVE so it means if the same name package, view, etc is there, it wouldnt get updated?
Any way to overcome this?
I need it exactly same as LIVE...(with a few exceptions which is small enough i can do after impdp finishes fine)
Pleaseeeeeeee help!!
Thanks&Regards.......Hi..
Thanks for the links..I applied the tips on each of them but it didnt work.
Also my database is 11g so it is not true that this happens on 10g only.
Things tried:
1)I tried with different values on parallel parameter but same error
2)I applied the following:
alter system set open_cursors=1024 scope=spfile;
alter system set "_optimizer_cost_based_transformation"=off;
commit;
The 3rd link was bit better
I tried to find out where exactly the error was causesusing
expdp attach =SYS_EXPORT_FULL_03
But I cant figure out what the object : PUBLIC
oracle/context/isearch/GetPage
is..?
Does this needs to be excluded from the export?if so, how?
Can someone help how to fix the error now?

Please help me on this.
Db version : 10.2.0.4
Os : HP-UX.
Thanks and Regards,ORA-01917: user or role 'FCATDB' does not existError: ORA 1917
Text: user or role <name> does not exist
Cause: An invalid user or role name was specified.
Action: Check that a valid user or role name is used.
If you are using IMPDP then no need to mention the user name, if the user is different then you can use remap_schema option,
If dumpfile has only one schema then no need to mention the clause SCHEMAS also.
change as SCHEMAS=FCATDB instead of SCHEMAS=FCATDB:FCATDB
impdp /******** AS SYSDBA remap_tablespace=FCATDB:USERS SCHEMAS=FCATDB directory=EXPDP_DIR dumpfile=expdp_fcatdb.dmp logfile=probin1.log
