If you are using IMPDP then no need to mention the user name, if the user is different then you can use remap_schema option,
If dumpfile has only one schema then no need to mention the clause SCHEMAS also.

DBMS_LDAP call fails with ORA-06512 Error Mapping function
Hi,
I am facing a problem with workflow integration with LDAP.
I receive
ORA-6512 Error Mapping Function on one particular line within the WF_LDAP.get_cfg_val procedure.
WHILE my_entry IS NOT NULL
LOOP
my_vals := DBMS_LDAP.get_values (p_session,

The documentation says:
ORA-06521 PL/SQL: Error mapping function
Cause: An error was detected by PL/SQL trying to map the mentioned
function dynamically.
Action: Check the stacked error (if any) for more details.
This is the trace of the error:

Am I missing something?
I have searched all the forums and although there are many references to "Error Mapping Function", noone has reported it in the context of WF - LDAP Integration. So I am not sure how to proceed.
Please help.
thanks in advance,
LibinHi Libin,
Can you please explain to me the parameters that you put in the Global Preferences, the LDAP_port,LDAP_user,and the others, because I dont know where I need to search in the server this parameters and I dont understand su much of OID.
if you can give to me and little description of that parameters,this would thank for much.
anticipated thanks

Edited by: Yuvraj on Jul 3, 2010 1:13 PMHi,
It seems that you have got a problematic disk there. There might be a problem with the disk that the datafile resides on since you are receiving I/O errors. Moreoever, there might be a problem with the CSS. check that all the process of cluster are running.

Hello all,
I'm running a full import from a dump file taken from our production db (10.2.0.4.0) on RHEL4 into a test db (11.2.0.3.0) on RHEL6. I've done something very similar before with no errors but this time it returns the following in the output at the end of the partially successful import:

ORA-01427: single-row subquery returns more than one row
Job "SYSTEM"."SYS_IMPORT_FULL_02" stopped due to fatal error at 13:32:00
The import is into a database that has had all the application users dropped (only Oracle-defined users still existing) but with table_exists_action set to skip (the default). Several user objects from the source db are missing from the target.
I've run this twice with the same results. I can imagine that there is a problem with the master table and/or the data dictionary but it gives no indication of the deeper cause.
Any ideas, anyone?

Oracle DBA.Hi,
Have you verified if your DBMS_AQ environment has been corrupted? If so, then you'll have to drop and recreate a number of queue related objects all over again. Furthermore, ORA-00942 appears to be the main problem as it is a case sensitivity error. You should change the table names to UPPERCASE and then try again.
Hope this helps.

Naveed. -
Hi Folks,
I used expdp utility to export all Oracle scheduler jobs and chains with below method, after that generate sql script by impdp, later on executing sql script encountered some errors.
Only chain step and chain rule for executing script. Does anyone bright me some light? Thanks!
My env: Oracle 11g + Oracle Linux 5.5
My steps as below:
1. export(expdp) oracle scheduler job(chain)
2. generate sql script by impdp.
3. remove orginal scheduler job(chain)
4. execute sql script
5. job with no chain well but job with chain failed

Ora-06502:pl/sql and ora-06512 at sys.owa_util errors
Greetings -
I have just installed APEX 2.2 in my 9.2.0.7 database and am going through the exercises in the "2 Day+ Application Express Developer's Guide." I was making good progress, until I got to Chapter 5, How to Control Form Layout. I created the script "ht_emp", as instructed. Everything in the script works, except for the "create or replace trigger bi_ht_emp" part. It fails with the following errors:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error ORA-06512: at "SYS.OWA_UTIL", lone 328 ORA-06512: at "SYS.HTP", line 862 ORA-06512: at "SYS.HTP", line 977 ORA-06512: at "SYS.HTP", line 995 ORA-06512: at "FLOWS_020200.WWV_FLOW_SW_API", line 428 ORA-01003: no statement parsed. I have confirmed that nls_length_semantics = BYTE
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance - GailScott -
Here's the part of the script that chokes --
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER bi_ht_emp
BEFORE INSERT ON ht_emp
FOR EACH ROW
BEGIN
SELECT ht_emp_seq.nextval
INTO :new.emp_id
FROM DUAL;
:new.rec_create_date := SYSDATE;
END;
Thanks fro helping -
Gail -
Was working on tutorial from the:
Oracle Database Express Edition 2 Day Plus Application Express Developer Guide
Working on the section 4: How to Control Form Layout.
Ran into a problem trying to compile the Create HT-EMP Table script.
keep getting this error for this particular segment creating the bu_ht_emp trigger:
pp. 4-2 and 4-3
CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER bi_ht_emp
BEFORE INSERT ON ht_emp
FOR EACH ROW
BEGIN
SELECT ht_emp_seq.nextval
INTO :new.emp_id
FROM DUAL;
:new.rec_create_date := SYSDATE;
END;
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error ORA-06512: at "SYS.OWA_UTIL", line 354....etc
I've check the syntax for the entire script and it all checks out. Does anyone have a clue why this is failing?If I'm looking at the same DDL, not seeing where it would throw an owa_util error, are you running it in the apex script editor?
Just plain sqlplus doesn't like the empty line stuck in with the list of check constraints on the emp_dept column, after fixing that up (and dropping the sequence that got created on the first pass) the DDL and insert runs fine- -

Oem 12.1.0.3 installer fails with ora-01017
Greetings,
I am attempting to upgrade my OEM 12.1.0.1 installation to 12.1.0.3. I am following the instructions in the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Upgrade Guide and Oracle Support Note 1568143.1. I have verified that all prerequisites are met and have installed patch 11061801 to the repository. The repository and OMS are on different machines. The 12.1.0.1 installation is able to connect to the repository, it has been running successfully for some time now. On the OMS server I stopped the OMS and the Agent and I invoke the 12.1.0.3 installer. I follow the steps and when it gets to the connection page it fails with ORA-01017. The messages are shown -

I am able to connect remotely from another machine. sqlplus is not installed on the OMS server.
I am completely stumped and in need of assistance. Searching the web only indicates that I need to insure that the above listed conditions should be met, they are. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate the help.
Thank you.
Bill WagmanOn repository server , can you login as sys user ?
Try to connect through listener and share the result.
sqlplus sys/<password>@<connectstring> as sysdba

Hey Guys, it's Xev.
I decide to use SQL and XML and it works in one scenario, but in another scenario, it doesn't.
Here is the Code, I am passing in two variables, First, I pass in the table_name and then i pass in the schema.
If I am doing this with the "user" connected and it's looking in it's own schema, it's find the results, like so, but if i try to execute this code while not
connected to the same user i am searching on i get this error.
ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_XMLGEN", line 288
ORA-06512: at line 1
19202. 00000 - "Error occurred in XML processing%s"
*Cause: An error occurred when processing the XML function
*Action: Check the given error message and fix the appropriate problem
This code works only of you are connected to the user that you are searching on.
But if you search for another user tables, it's blows up and gives the XML error above...
SET SERVEROUTPUT ON
exec DBMS_OUTPUT.ENABLE(1000000);
VAR search_string VARCHAR2(28)
EXEC :search_string := '^[0-9]{3}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{4}$'
COLUMN "Searchword" FORMAT A28
COLUMN "Table" FORMAT A9
COLUMN "Column/Value" FORMAT A50
SELECT DISTINCT SUBSTR (:search_string, 1, 28) "Searchword",
SUBSTR (table_name, 1, 14) "Table",
SUBSTR (t.column_value.getstringval (), 1, 50) "Column/Value"
FROM dba_tab_cols,
--where owner = ('&SCHEMA_NAME')
TABLE
(XMLSEQUENCE
(DBMS_XMLGEN.GETXMLTYPE
( 'SELECT ' || column_name ||
' FROM ' || table_name ||
' WHERE REGEXP_LIKE
(' || column_name || ','''
|| :search_string || ''')'
).extract ('ROWSET/ROW/*'))) t
--WHERE table_name IN ('FIND_TEST')
WHERE table_name = upper('&TABLE_NAME')
AND OWNER = upper('&SCHEMA_NAME')
ORDER BY "Table"
Can someone please explain how (DBMS_XMLGEN) works, and why it's throwing that error??
thanks,
Xev.It has nothing to do with DBMS_XMLGEN.GETXMLTYPE. It simply means user executing your SQL has no select privilege on table &SCHEMA_NAME.&TABLE_NAME.

Is it possible to share a public link of a file from iCloud Drive? If not, will this be a future feature? Dropbox and other have this feature and I think it's really important.
