DTW - Dimension 2 to 5 in the oJournal Entries template

Hi,
we are using SAP B1 2005 B.
it seems that the dimension 2, 3, 4 and 5 are not reachable through DTW for the JE template.
Anybody has a workaround to upload file containing values in these dimensions ?
Maybe it can be an improvment in the next versions of DTW ?
Thank you
Best regards
Cyril

Hello,
I have a RAC env composed of 2 nodes. The database name is dbfunc1 and it is in 11gR2 version under Redhat Linux 5; this is a test env.
Now we need to create another RAC database in the same hosts with database name dbfunc2 with exactly the same structure, same parameters, etc... this RAC database will be used for the same product but for test level 1 purpose. I am thinking to create an XML template for the dbfunc1 using dbca and then create silently the database dbfunc2.
My question is: is it possible to use the already created and configured listener in the hosts or I must create a new listerenr listeneing on new ports to support the database dbfun2? Perhaps, both DB will use the SCAN listener ...
Thank you
DiegoYou can have both configuration i.e. one local listener for host for both database or two seperate. But as a best pratice you can create seperate listener for new database just to have proper load balancing.
Its obvious that finally SCAN listenr will handover its connections to host listener, so if you have only one then there would be more connection (handle by local listener) as compared to past(when you had only 1 database),
Now you have 2 databases so connections would be more.

  • Processed Dimension IDs not saving in the backend server

    Hi Experts,
After successfully processing dimensions, the newly added dimension IDs or the changed dimensions are not reflecting in the backend BI server. And naturally not in the Office client.
I have checked logs in SLG1, couldnt find issue. Checked dumps, nothing particular found.
Checked the .NET server as well, no problems.
We are on SAP BPC 7.5 NW SP09.
Any idea why this could be happening?

    Hi Sabine,
I checked the log files earlier itself on the server but they didnot help. Last updates in the files were from November.
What i have found today is, after i tried to process the dimensions for mutiple times, they finally got processed in the backend as well. I was checking in SM66, every time processes were triggered for BPC_ADMIN in the backend, when i started processing.
But when i went to SLG1, there were entries with grey status (not processed) for same master data object and subobject 'master data update'. Since they are dialog process i could not any further entry from where i could find why they were not processing.
Any idea? Thanks again for your patience with the responses

    hi user582149,
It is difficult to answer you question with such a little amount of details. Could you specify:
    - how many facts/dimensions are you using in the query?
    - what is the structure of your Business Model?
    - which version of OBI are you using?
    - what does your log say?
I hope to tell you more having the information above
    Cheers

  • How do I change the dimensions of an image? The Image Size dialog box will not allow me to change it

How do I change the dimensions of an image? The Image Size dialog box will not allow me to change dimensions.  I am taking an online class and the Image Size dialog box looks different than the one I am seeing in Photoshop CC.  It has the option to change the dimensions.

When you say chage the dimentions, do you mean crop the image and adjust the size of the image at the same time, or do you mean you want to just resize the image?  Can you post a screen shot of what you're trying to do?

  • Error Opening Reports (Cannot find Dimension Scenario, Error executing query: the member null doesn't exist in this application)

    Hello,
two of our users get the following error message, when opening two specific reports:
First Report: Cannot find Dimension Scenario.
Second Report: Error executing query: the member null doesn't exist in this application.
Other users can access these reports, and the same users where the problem occurs can access other reports in the same folder.
I set the same rights for me, but i can access the reports without problems.
Somebody encountered the same problem before?

    Hi there,
I had the same issue a few weeks ago... not sure how it happened but it was related only with my username.
    In order to fix it:
    1. I created a report which does not require to select the scenario in advance. Try to use the default data-grid that you get when you first create a report for example.
    2. When the user runs the report, try to see if he can see the dimension. Do not use the missing dimension on rows or columns. If he can see the dimension, ask him to select one scenario. This will solve the issue.
    3. If he cannot see the dimension, try to change the layout of the report.

I have about 10000 images of different persons with dimension of 640*480. I wan to crop face from these images to dimension of 200*280. The location of face varies in differnt pics. So, please let me know step by step how can I perform this using the Lightroom software. Also I wan to know what should be the aspect ratio to do so.Thank you in advance

The aspect ratio should be set to 200x280, or equivalently 5x7.
I don't think it is possible to do the cropping automatically in Lightroom, you'd have to do this image by image to crop the faces correctly.

  • Time Dimension, i don´t bind the fact dimension and the time dimension

Well i don´t know why my fact table don´t bind with the time dimension, i create a time table in the data base and change the key to int32 for example year(date)*10000+month(date)*100+day(date),  and create to similar in the fact table, and
this attributes binding, when i process the dimension all result without problems, after i process the cube and all result without problems, but when i try to deployment the browser, the measures in all years are equals, please help me

    Hi franciscofelipe,
According to your description, you find the measures shows all same value for all years of time dimension. Right?
In this scenario, since your change the key of your time table into an integer, when pulling this dimension out in Browser, the measure will only regards those members as numeric value instead of date so that is will show an aggregate value. Even
all the members are displayed properly in your dimension. So please change the attribute type into appropriate date type.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • How we will know that dimension size is more than the fact table size?

how we will know that dimension size is more than the fact table size?

    Hi,
Let us assume that we are going to take Division and distribution channel in a dimension and assume we have 20 distinct values for Division in R/3 and 30 Distinct values for Distribution channel .So Maximum, we can get 20 * 30 records in dimension table and we can take rough estimation of records in the cube by observing the raw data in source system.

  • BPC 7.5 MS Drill Down works on one dimension in rows but not the other

    Good day,
Working in BPC 7.5 MS.  I have a piped report with 3 dimensions in rows.  Members in the first dimension are hard-coded in the expand range.  The second dimension is a combination of SELF and DEP members.  The third is set to SELF.  In our original AppSet, I can double-click drill down on both the second and third dimensions without issue.
I've re-created this report in a new AppSet (same BPC version).  All settings are essentially identical (I've double and triple checked).  The drill down works on the second dimension, but not the third.  I've run out of places to look to find the problem.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kim

It took a while but I finally found some quiet time to re-visit this issue.  Thank you for the suggestions above.  Ultimately I verified that the hierarchy, member selection and tables were all ok.
My next step was to create a new EVDRE with the same members and slowly factor in the piping, membersets, etc.  Drill down worked appropriately.  So that told me something else was at work.
Turns out the problem was with one of the 'display' columns to the right of the row key range.  These columns use formulas to display a triangle if the member isn't calc, thus giving the end user a visual clue that you can drill down on the member.  Long story short, BPC just didn't like that formula.  A minor change (along with some conditional formatting to replace the piece of formula that was removed) eliminated the problem.  Drill down is now working.

Which version of the server are you using? Is that 11.2.0.2 as well?
This error could be due to a number of things. If you have made a number of edits to the dimension (e.g adding and removing levels and hierarchies), then the metadata in the AW may be a little confused. This was especially true for 11.1.0.7, but there could still be bugs lurking in 11.2. One thing you could try is to save the dimension to an XML template, then delete it from the AW and recreate it from the XML. This should flush out any AW metadata issues.

  • Hard code accounts using the dynamic report templates?

Anyone ever been able to hard code accounts using the dynamic report templates?
How about getting the Property name/value fields to work?

    Hi,
    No, this is not possible.
In Dynamic Report templates (which are not based on EVDRE function in version 7 and below), the only thing you can do is to not use any expansion at all and to list your specific accounts on the layout itself. Or to expand your accounts based on a dimension property.
In version 7.5, all Dynamic Templates for Report and Input Schedules will use EVDRE function.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind Regards,

Found this fix here which worked for me with a similar problem.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well.

  • The length of the password entry field in the BEx Analyser

    Hi,
The password is 8 characters in the BW system.
When users changing their newly assigned passwords. When logging into the BEx Analyser, and prompted to change the password, a password entry box is displayed, with an entry field longer then 8 characters. Some users are therefore entering passwords longer then 8 characters. This is fine when they first login, but when they try come back to the system, their logon fails.
Can something be done to restrict the length of the password entry field in the BEx Analyser?
    Many Thanks
    Jonathan

    Hi Jonathan
we are having the same problem - did you find a way to resolve this?  I did not find any SAP notes referring to the issue.
