Duplicate Instances in cube_instances with same root_id , parent_Id

Environment - We are having a 2 node cluster installation of SOA SUITE 10.1.3.4, MLR-
We have a file poller (say ESB_poller) and for each record in the file we call a BPEL Process (say BPEL_parent) which call another BPEL process (say BPEL_child). BPEL_child calls a PL/SQL procedure which basicall does an insertion of each record in the DB.
PROBLEM - We have observed that when 2 to 3 large file containing 3000 records each is fed to the system, then sometimes, for 5 to 10 records we have 2 instances of BPEL_child process. They have the same root id and same parent id in CUBE_INSTANCE. One of them gives an error with primary key violation error while inserting in the DB. But the audit trail in BPEL Console for BPEL_parent shows only 1 instance of BPEL_child which has errored and hence our instance goes for exception handling (business perspective).
Could someone tell us,
1. WHY ARE THERE TWO INSTANCES OF BPEL_CHILD PROCESS?
2. UNDER WHAT SCENARIO WE SHOULD EXPECT THIS?
3. WHY AREN'T BOTH THE INSTANCE SHOWING IN BPEL CONSOLE?
4. HOW TO HANDLE THIS SCENARIO/ THE WORKAROUND?
NOTE : Call to child process is synch.
Fault policy is as follows for the process -
<Conditions>
          <!-- Fault if wsdlRuntimeLocation is not reachable -->
          <faultName xmlns:bpelx="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension" name="bpelx:remoteFault">
               <condition>

               </condition>
          </faultName>
          <!-- Fault if location port is not reachable-->

               </condition>

Hi,
This is a problem with the clustered environment...add clusterGroupId to your file adapter activation agent to make sure only one activation agent is active at anytime in the clustered environment.

  • Duplicate record with same primary key in Fact table

    Hi all,
       Can the fact table have duplicate record with same primary key . When i checked a cube i could see records with same primary key combination but the key figure values are different. My cube has 6 dimentions (Including Time,Unit and DP) and 2 key figures. So 6 fields combined to form the composite primary key of the fact table. When i checked the records in se16 i could see duplicate records with same primary key. Ther are no parallel loading happening for the cube.
    BW system version is 3.1
    Data base is : Oracle 10.2
    I am not sure how is this possible.
    Regards,
    PM

    Hi Krish,
       I checked the datapacket dimention also. Both the record have same dimention id (141). Except the Keyfigure value there is no other change in the Fact table record.  I know this is against the basic DBMS primary key rule. But i have records like this in the cube.
    Can this situation arise when same records is there in different data packet of same request.
    Thx,
    PM

  • Two instance with same port number in one machine.

    How can I config one machine(one IP) to listen to two different URLs with same port? (http://www.abc.com & http://www.xyz.com)??

    What you are looking for is a feature called virtual servers. Lots of information in Chapter 13 of the admin guide.
    The key is that there is only one server instance. (One available port pretty much implies one server instance.) But the virtual server feature allows you to specifiy different "virtual" servers based on the URL characteristics. (such as domain name)

  • Two TT instances  with same physical  files

    HI All,
    can we have two timesten instances sharing the same set of physical files like check point , log files .
    Node A
    Timesten instance1 running
    Node B
    Timesten Instance2 running
    both Timesten instances instance1,instnce2 with shared physical ( check point , log files )
    Please tell me above configuration is possible or not

    Can you please elaborate on the background to this question? Do you want to 'share' the files such that both instances can use them concurrently or is this related to some form of shared disk failover/HA mechanism?
    It is absolutely not possible to concurrently access the same set of datastore files from two different instances and in fact TimesTen goes to some lengths to prevent this. If you managed to circumvent this protection the result would be a totally corrupted database.
    It is possible to use shared disk failover with TimesTen though this is not at all an optimal way to implement HA with TimesTen. TimesTen replication is the recommended HA mechanism to use.

  • Two Coherence instances with same JVM

    Hi all,
    I have a special case need your advice.
    we have an architecture platform build on top coherence to support some system data (session persistence data...etc).
    and we are building applications on top the platform, the applications also need coehrence to support Application distributed data.
    which is the best practice:
    - Load two coherence instances with two separate configs
    - share same instance with same config file
    to isolate clear two parts, we prefer first solution, but we don't know which is drawback for this solution.
    Best regards.
    Jerome

    Hi John,
    I beg to differ: all you need to do is ensure that Coherence is loaded by two independent class loaders and not from a common parent class loader.
    Of course, you can't reuse the same ports so you can't rely on the default Java properties for overrides, but you can use the operational configuration descriptor override feature to specify different settings for things like cluster address, and similar.
    Best regards,
    Robert

  • Firefox profiles aren't very useful - all instances open with same one

    I am running Linux: LMDE Cinnamon Edition - 64 bit
    I am using firefox version Mozilla Firefox 31.0
    I wish to have two instances of FF running. One with my standard, personal settings and a second instance that ONLY connects to Facebook and will stop data leaking between the two. I can acheive this by opening Facebook in another browser (e.g. Chrome or Opera).
    I checked the ProfileManager under Firefox and created a second profile called "FB".
    I can run firefox -p FB and it will open an instance of FF with none of my personal settings available - that's what I was hoping for.
    However, if I run a second instance of FF - for example from the command line as firefox -p default it loads with the same profile as the first instance I opened, not the new profile as specified in the command.
    I can only select the profile if there are no prior firefox instances running under my user-id. The first instance defines which profile is used for all subsequent executions - no matter which profile I specify on the command line. Even running firefox -ProfileManager will start with the first-specified profile, not the profile manager.

    Hello,
    If you want to run multiple instances of Firefox, you need to add a -no-remote parameter to the command.
    For example:
    * firefox -P -no-remote
    Please see:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Opening_a_new_instance_of_Firefox_with_another_profile

  • Is it possible to install two SAP system with same SID but different instance numbers on one host?

    Is it possible to install two SAP system with same system ID (SID) but different instance numbers on one host?
    If yes, then how?
    If no, then why?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sarim

    Is it possible to install two SAP system with same system ID (SID) but different instance numbers on one host?
    Yes, it is possible. If one is CI (PAS) and the second one is an AS (AAS). In this case there will be only one database.
    If you are talking about two separate SAP systems with separate databases (Eg: A BI and an ECC) with the same SID then the problem will be with the database (Eg: Oracle)
    The database will be installed under /oracle/SID/112_64 (ORACLE_HOME) unless one database is running on 10 G and in that case the ORACLE_HOME will be /oracle/SID/102_64
    The next issue will be with the SAP file systems like /sapmnt/SID
    The most important problem will be with the switch to the sidadm and orasid users and the conflicts there. If there is a need to stop one of the SAP systems and if you do a switch to sidadm and issue a stopsap command which system will be stopped ?
    These are few of the many problems I can think of.
    So if we are talking about two separate systems with their own databases I would rule out the possibility of having two systems with the same SID.
    Regards

  • Select duplicate Data with same No.

    Dear All experts,
        How  we giong to select the data with same No as 1 record count.
    example :    Bellow is the sample table contains 5 rows records, but of records ard same number.
          post No.               Name
          1001                      Jacky
          1001                      Jimmy
          1002                      Mark
          1003                     Jin
          1004                     chloe
    when  i use the select statement bellow :
    Select * from table into corresposding of table t_table up to  3.
    will get the result  like below .
          1001                      Jacky
          1001                      Jimmy
          1002                      Mark
    Question is , how i going to write the statement  to get the 3(depend on user insert how many record)  different no.  example , 2records of 1001, 1002 , and 1003 .

    if its a ztable then better to keep a counter field for your requirement.
    else.
    parameter : count type i. "this holds number of required data.
    select * from TT_XYZ into table gt_itab.
    loop at gt_itab into gs_itab.
    at end of post_no.
       count = count - 1.
    endat.
    if count = 0.
      exit.
    endif.
    append gs_itab to gt_itab2.
    clear gs_itab.
    endloop.
    now gt_itab2 holds required entries for you.

  • Duplicate database command fails with RMAN-06023

    Hello,
    I am trying to test out the duplicate database command in RMAN and am running into some issues.
    I did a backup of my test database, copied the backup files to a second server, and now I'm trying to run the duplicate command and I get RMAN-06023 errors for all of my datafiles.
    I did crosschecks on my backupsets and they showed as available. They are in the same location on the new server, with the same permissions. There are no recent archived logs, as this is a very quiet environment.

    Hi,
    Where is you RMAN catalog? I think you forgot to connect to it.
    To duplicate a database check that folowing applies:
    1-the auxiliary instance is mounted
    2-the listener for the auxiliary db is up
    3-the backup pieces that RMAN is going to restore ARE AVAILABLE on the
    secondary/auxilary server with SAME NAME the have on the primary server (you can use NFS to avoid the copy of the pieces from primary to auxuliary box)
    Remember to be conected to both: target and auxiliary db.
    I have extracted the folowing lines from an RMAN script I used to create an standby database with the DUPLICATE command (the RMAN catalog was in the primary db controlfile, and the command was run on the primary server:
    $ rman target / nocatalog auxiliary sys/pwd@standbycard log=crCARD.log
    RMAN> duplicate target database for standby nofilenamecheck dorecover;
    I hope this helps

    Sarah,
    I could reproduce the error.
    However, I created a drag-and-drop page fragment with quick search and table, and modified the adfc-config-EmpVw task flow to reference the drag and drop page:
    <view id="EmpVwTable">
    <page id="__120">/EmpvwDD.jsff</page>
    </view>
    And then I still get the same error, so this looks like an ADF bug to me.
    I also created a stand-alone jspx page using drag and drop, same error as well. I suggest you make a testcase without JHeadstart and contact Oracle Support.

  • How to create two employees with same name as supplier record?

    Dear all,
    We need to create a supplier record for an employee so that we can issue invoice for pretty cash payment. If there are 2 employees with same name, how can we create supplier records for these 2 employees? The system does not allow duplicate supplier name.
    Please advise.

    Hello,
    In R12 it is possible to create 2 employee with same name but different employee number.
    And also possible to create these 2 employees as suppliers in Payables.

  • Multiple instances of mplayer with jack

    "_R_ealtime software mixing ?!?! wtf thats awesome--actually im not a studio junkie, i just need sound on one of them"
    i understand that the casual nature of my involvement with jackd suggests a less-than-appropriate level of respect and diligence for what this almighty app is capable of serving up.  i just need to level audio volume on multiple instances of mplayer with software mixing (my sound card is cheap).
    all my jackd configs are vanilla from the wiki as stated below.  if anyone has another solution or a request for information in regard to this solution please reply.  as always, thanks in advance
    --here is some err... background
    i have a some files that i would like to run with mplayer and a video file [with its own audio] that i would like to run concurrently.  it should be possible to use jackd to let one instance of mplayer show video with no sound while permitting the audio from the other instance to play at arbitrary volume.  without jack, i cannot control sound independantly since both instances seem to use the same device (PCM0).  furthermore i have found that starting multiple instances of mplayer leads to weird artifacts which persist after all running instances of mplayer concurrent with artifact appearance have been closed.
    so i installed jack-audio-connection-kit following the wiki verbatim.  then i installed qjackctl.  starting jackd as root and qjackctl with sudo allowed me to see the first instance of mplayer but not the second.
    what is the difference between running mplayer through alsa and running mplayer through jack through alsa (not sure if the objects are accurately laid out there but whatever)?  the wiki basically provides an out of the box solution for software mixing a bunch of inputs (i have friends who do sound professionally though not with linux and im envisioning way more complicated stuff than my humble pair of mplayers

    If you run one file with '-ao null' and the other one with '-vo null' you can manipulate them independently, there's no sound mixing involved, it just allows you "to add visuals to an audio feed spontaneously". They can both be run with 'af scaletempo' to speed up / slow down etc.
    Hmm, wonder if that's what the OP was looking for?

  • How Can I create a cluster of two instances running on the same server?

    Hello,
    I can't find how to create a cluster or even a failover rule for my two instances running on the same server ODSEE 11gR1.
    Could you please help?
    Thanks,

    Hello,
    Clustering (intended as Sun Cluster, Veritas Cluster, etc... ) IS NOT SUPPORTED since 7.0:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E20295_01/pdf/821-1216.pdf [page 20]
    and, based on my own experience, is the WORST way of achieving high availability of an LDAP Directory Service and an almost GRANTED way to get replication issues in your topology (lock, split, re-init, etc...).
    Please use instead the 'application-level' clustering that you get out of the box with the Multi-Master Replication.

  • How can i export the data to excel which has 2 tables with same number of columns & column names?

    Hi everyone, again landed up with a problem.
    After trying a lot to do it myself, finally decided to post here..
    I have created a form in form builder 6i, in which on clicking a button the data gets exported to excel sheet.
    It is working fine with a single table. The problem now is that i am unable to do the same with 2 tables.
    Because both the tables have same number of columns & column names.
    Below are 2 tables with column names:
    Table-1 (MONTHLY_PART_1)
    Table-2 (MONTHLY_PART_2)
    SL_NO
    SL_NO
    COMP
    COMP
    DUE_DATE
    DUE_DATE
    U-1
    U-1
    U-2
    U-2
    U-4
    U-4
    U-20
    U-20
    U-25
    U-25
    Since both the tables have same column names, I'm getting the following error :
    Error 402 at line 103, column 4
      alias required in SELECT list of cursor to avoid duplicate column names.
    So How can i export the data to excel which has 2 tables with same number of columns & column names?
    Should i paste the code? Should i post this query in 'SQL and PL/SQL' Forum?
    Help me with this please.
    Thank You.

    You'll have to *alias* your columns, not prefix it with the table names:

  • There was an error while writing data back to the server: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder.

    I am working in a new enviorment and i am trying to save a report to the Crystal Server via the CMC. I am uploading the report from the objects tab and attempting to save to a folder. The report has 1 static defined parameter and that's it. When i click submit to save the report i receive the following error message: "There was an error while writing data back to the server: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder." There is not a anothe report within the folder with that name. What could be causing this error message and equally important, what is the solution.

    hte message you received about duplicate user probably means something hadn't fully updated yet. Once it did then it worked...
