Duplication of emails

I have one envelope for my Shaw e-mails - and am receiving duplicate e-mails for the same one individual message.
So if I get a email from xyz company - I seem to be getting that about 10 times over.
How do I stop this?
Is there a way to delete or Select ALL emails in that message screen - so all emails are deleted at once?
Also, I have a work email address - and originally set up a forwarding or re-direction (automatically) from my shaw email account to this one and vise versa - so now the emails (I've been told) are looping. But which re-direction do I delete, so I still receive all e-mails into my shaw account?

-Delete that one message (duplicating) from your shaw webmail.
-You can delete all messages by moving your cursor to todays date and then push menu and choose 'delete prior'

You want to recevie both work and shaw mail on BB?
there are few options: you can individually integrate both into your BB and stop forwarding from both.
explain what exactly you are trying to accomplish and how are emails setup on BB

    My previous long-standing loyalty to Nokia took a blow when I bought my E72. Yes the device itself is good, but customers are FORCED to use Nokia's new push email service. While I'm sure it has benefits for many, there are plenty of reasons why one may not wish to use this service, and may prefer direct access to one's email accounts. I much prefer the email client of my previous Nokia phones, and really do not like this new service "a la Blackberry" for many reasons. But my point is that the new service should not be forced down customers throats, and SHOULD BE OPTIONAL WHILE RETAINING THE POSSIBILITY TO USE THE OLD-STYLE DIRECT ACCOUNT ACCESS. I wish Nokia would make the old email/message program downloadable for those who prefer that. I always felt Nokia phones gave me choice in that I could choose which email account to connect to (and was very happy with automatic retrieval which I had much more control over), but we are now forced to go through Nokia's server to receive our mail, so choice has been removed. I really hate such corporate behaviour.
    I am currently using ProfiMail which is very good (not perfect though) but resent having had to pay for a descent email program when it should have been included in the price of my very expensive E72.

    With an Exchange or IMAP account you can delete the messages with the email client used on your computer or via webmail access for the account - all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.
    Not possible with an antiquated POP account.

  • I have a MAC desktop, an iPhone and an iPad.  I have my email set up to go to all 3, because I use them for all different purposes.  How can I cut down on the duplication of emails.  I want to delete them for one spot and not have them go to the other 2.

    If I delete emails from my phone, why do they still go to my iPad and desktop and vice versa?   What's the solution to this, other than not getting the emails in 3 places?

    I think the best solution would to just sync all email accounts and turn on and off which accounts you want on a device by going to Settings>Mail/Contacts/Calendars>name of e-mail account>toggle Mail On/Off switch.
    I do not own multiple iDevices (maybe one day I will), try that and see if it works.

  • Email duplication, missing email, repair permissions

    My Mail program started acting up today. I began getting duplicate and even triplicate identical emails. Then I discovered I wasn't getting ANY emails from my GF with whom I live (she's in a different room on her computer).
    Baffled, I ran Repair Permissions and that sort of worked - I began getting her emails plus duplicates of other email I'd received earlier in the day. I ran Repair Permissions a second time, not five minutes after the first time, and it found all kinds of things to repair again. How is that possible? Don't things stay repaired?
    It is now running a third straight time (it always says 16 minutes to go and I let it go until it finishes) and it's finding another long list of things (perhaps the same things? I have no clue) to fix.
    Why would things need to be fixed so quickly if they were just fixed? And could the Repair Permissions have any impact on me getting duplicate, triplicate, or no email?

    Don - thanks for the quick post and help. Everything went as advertised when I followed the steps except the final repair permissions. I read the thread a little further and saw that others had run into the problem once iTunes was back in the Applications folder. Any downside to just keeping iTunes on the Desktop instead of in the Applications folder so that repair permissions completes?

  • Airdrop/Family Sharing - wrong name showing.

    Hi.
    Having updated to iOS8 today, I've set up Family Sharing with my wife and daughter. However, when I tried to send something to my wife via airdrop it showed on her phone as if my daughter tried to send it.
    I've double checked both my and my daughter's settings and we do not have any duplication any email addresses etc in each other's accounts anywhere.
    Any ideas?

    I had the same pproblem initially. The name is not pulled from your contacts, it is taken from the iTunes account itself. I had to login to my wife's Apple ID via iTunes (very bottom of the first screen in the iTunes app) which sent me to Safari and asked me to login online. Once I did, I saw that somehow my wife's account was under my own name instead of hers for some reason. It's easy to fix, just click edit on the right.

    i have duplication of calendar events. i beleve my 2 email accounts (business and a gmail) are somehow tied to the calendar. i had no duplication before i added the gmail account. i have temp. solved the problem first deleteing the gmail account and then going to desktop -- backup/restore -- advanced -- and then clearing the calendar/calendar all. then i resyned, all is good now but i want to add my personal gmail back. 

    i can do that, but i was just thinking it may happen again becz of this post below ...

    I have activated IMAP on my mum's Gmail and am uploading her old emails. The messages are from her pre-gmail times and were, thus, POP3'd to her computer using other email accounts.
    The problem is I accidentally twice dragged the emails in one, rather large, folder to the corresponding IMAP folder. As a result I am getting duplicates in Gmail.
    This duplication is currently ongoing and wouldn't be so bad were it not for the fact that her internet connection is a 3G broadband connection with a 1GB monthly limit.
    Is there any way to "force quit" the copying/duplication from within Mail? I can disconnect the Gmail IMAP account but when I reconnect the duplication resumes.

    It is a bug. Try quitting Mail and then reopen it.
    Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

    I need to find out what is causing about 40% of emails received from being duplicated and then fix it once and for all. I don't leave messages on the server. I read the article on this topic but it seems hit and miss try this try that; I want something a bit more professional please.

    As You have no idea of the cause then no one can offed more than try this try that. that is what diagnosing the problem is all about.
    I have problems with outlook.com. As far as I can work out it is because it is a crappy service? Who are you have problems with?
    Have you tried without your anti virus scanning incoming mail. It is the number one cause, but again it is try this try that.
    There is nothing black and white in computer issues after "Is the power turned on?"

  • Email duplication - files copy instead of move - originals still in inbox

    Hi all, I am new to this site. i just got an iphone and have to say that while most of the multimedia features are awesome, I am having much difficulty with the 'business' features.
    I have set-up up my corporate email - it is on an exchange server but my IT ppl set-up the phone through IMAP I think because I don't have the 'Enterprise monthly package'. I am not using mobileme either.
    Emails are syncing (wirelessly) however I am having 2 major issues...
    1. The mailbox does not always automatically update with new mail as it should through the 'push' service. Most times I have to open the mailbox on the iphone and then it will prompt the mailbox to connect and retrieve new mail.
    2. The 2nd issue I have is that when I move emails from my inbox to a subfolder (under the inbox) on my iphone, it is not moving them on my PC mailbox. Well, it is moving the files but the original file also remains in the inbox. I don't have this problem when I move files on my PC- the iphone seems to recognize and not duplicate but when i move on the iphone, it does not move the original file on my pc). Shouldn't the 2 mailboxes (iphone & PC) be identical?
    Lastly, I am very disappointed that I am unable to wirelessly sync my calendar and contacts from Outlook without purchasing an additional monthly package from AT&T? Most other service providers offer this at no additional charge. if anybody knows of any applications that will wirelessly sync calendar and contacts (2 way push), please post that as well.

  • .mac and .me email duplication

    I just got a 3Gs/16g and freakin' love this thing. I'm having a problem where when I get an email sent to me using my .mac address, and I reply to all, my iPhone is cc'ing my .me address to my replies. So unless I manually delete the .me address, I'm always being copied onto my own replies. My phone is set up with the .me address as my default account, and the "always bcc myself" is turned off.
    I've played around with this behavior and my iMac, iBook and .me web mail app all handle the situation correctly by not seeing the .mac and .me address as two different accounts and copying myself to replies to all. It only happens on the iPhone. And if I'm emailed using my .me instead of the .mac address, this problem does not occur.
    Any insight as to what I can do to prevent this is much appreciated.

  • Apple ID duplication and invalid email to update password problem

    I have a situation where I appear to have 2 apple ids. I cannot remember the password of the one that most of my apps have been downloaded using. The email address  with that apple ID is no longer active so I cannot reset the password as it goes to an old inactive email address as the default.
    I tried to add the email address used as the apple ID that the password has been forgotten onto the valid emails for the new apple I'd but it will not let me as it is associated with another apple ID account.
    How can I update the apple ID that was used to upload all my current apps to the new apple ID I have without having an email address to use to update the forgotten password?
    The two apple Ids are very similar: 
    The one I cannot remember or change my forgotten password is ( The old email address  no longer active)
    The new one that I know the password for and has a valid email address
    Can you help me sort this so I can login to update my apps and download new ones please?

    Apple is adamant. Apple does not merge Apple IDs and Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID.
    If you wish to resurrect the old ID, the account support team can assist you to do that, but you will need to come up with a new functioning email address that is not associated with your other Apple ID for them to do so. When you have an email address to use, call Apple Care for your country and ask for help setting an new password for the old ID and then update it with the new email address.

    I was "raised" on Microsoft Publisher, then worked with Adobe Elements before switching to Mac.  For the most-part, I find Mac OSX 10.7.5 a joy to use, but it takes me quite a while to figure out how to bridge differences between PC and Mac applications.   Even though Mac applications tend to be straight forward, I loften find myself shaking my head and wondering how I could have been stumped so long by a little thing such as instant alpha.  I don't want to chalk up this difficulty in adapting  to old age, but could! (--Which translates:  Please be easy on the old lady!)  Thanking you in advance for such assistance as you might provide ...

    Upgrade to Mountain Lion OSX 10.8, much better than Lion.
    I take it you are talking about Pages '09?
    Your problem is probably with anything that has transparency eg fancy frames, 3D charts, shadows, reflections because Pages exports all these to too low 72dpi resolution in .pdfs.
    Prepping files for commercial print is always a concern and you need at least some Pro skills, but Apple has made life even harder with key missing settings and inferior presets.
