Dynamic code instrumentation with AspectJ...is it possible ?

Hi All,
Im trying to build a GUI that will allow me to instrument an application using aspectJ. What i would like to ideally do is to upload a .java file and an associated aspect and to be able to run this in my GUI, observing the results..
Any ideas as where to begin ? Is this even possible.....

Lots of other options, such as a simple custom table and a gui based form to maintain, but I've used exit variables looking up values from custom parameter cubes a great deal in planning applications.
Another alternative may be to add a new attribute to your gl accounts to indicate the nominal reporting group, and base your variable exits or row structures on that, leaving your users simply to mainain their GL Account Mastre data as required.

Has anyone successfully used Byte Code Instrumentation using the -javaagent switch in JCAPS 5.1?
I have 3 instances of JCAPS and two are reporting metrics fine the third is Not!
I am trying to instrument but my agent code is not being started and I am not seeing metrics...

Tags in JCAPS Repository are primarily used with deployment profiles. They are not the traditional CVS or SVN Tags. As far as I know, you cannot export projects based on Tags. The only place they are useful is when you are creating deployment profiles and want to use an older Tagged version of the connectivity maps etc and the components used within them such as JCDs, eWays, BPs etc. The caveat here is that if you used any external JARs within your JCDs, earlier versions of those would not be references corresponding to the repository Tag.

Dynamic query structures with restrictions - is this possible

Hi experts,
We have a client that has hard coded query structures, much to our chagrin. These structures change quarterly and because the structures are used across several queries and workbooks, I need to find a new solution that will makes the dynamic and can be updated in production. We have investigated the use of hierarchies for this, and unfortunately this will not work.
Also, their queries are locked down in production, so all changes must transport from Dev to QA to Production. This setting is mandated from the parent company, so changing this is not possible.
Question: Is it possible to write a WebDynpro or ABAP program that will allow users to change these hard coded structures? What tables would be used for this? I'm hoping we can create custom tables that dynamically populate the structures of the query, but I have doubts this can be done.
I suspect this is a stretch, but I'm hoping somebody might have attempted this.
Any ideas would be appreciated. We're proficient in BI so any suggestions would be great.
Example structure:
P&L Structure
Revenue ......................(restricted on Revenue GL accounts)
Out of Pocket Revenue.....(restricted on Out of Pocket GL accounts)
Total Revenue...................(total of the Revenue and Out of Pocket Revenue from above)

Servlet with no dynamic code inside jsp pages

Hello,
          I saw that a servlet is created even if there is no dynamic code inside jsp pages (scriplets & tags). Is it possible to avoid it on bea side ? (I am using portal 8).
          By the way, do you know if is it possible to define apache in order to avoid to send to bea the jsp which have no dynamic code inside ?

JSP's always generate a servlet on all web containers. Apache/Tomcat is no
          different. If you have static content, make it an HTML page.

Create dynamic code on a JSF with ADF Faces

Hi,
the next is just sample, nothing to production system, but if I can do the sample I can do something to production system.

let's suppose that I want to create a html link
in run-time over a JSF page with ADF Faces component.
I can do that, I did using javascript and Custom tag,
but the html link is placed out of the body of the page instead of put it over the place that I put it in development-time
so, now my question is:
how I can generate dynamic code using ADF FACES component commandButton or any others.
any suggestion??

You are right, I used <f:verbatim> element to wrap all my non-JSF elements and it work. :)
so good so far.
but, dynamic code mean generate code in this case HTML in run-time.
That is to say: write code HTML just in time I invoke a page.
That is posible through Custom Tags.
You create a Custom Tags this tag generate HTML code after to process any Business Logic. then you put the tag in the page that you want to use it
someting like this:

Running Dynamic Code - Is it possible?

Hi guys,
I am interested to know whether there is a way I can run dynamic code in my java program. For example, I want to be able to write java code into a JTextArea and then run that code as like an extension of the program.
In other words, if I wrote something simple like "System.out.println("Hi");, it would print the work "Hi" in the console as if it were part of the original program.
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? Alternatively, is there a way I can call the Javac tool from within a program, thus allowing me to dynamically compile a program.

I think JSP is a variant of such a frame. You can
execute a code compiling it.JSP is normally compiled into bytecode when it is first loaded by the container.

Dynamic Photo Gallery with Static Links

The Dynamic Photo Gallery has a Dynamic List Menu generated from the galleries.xml file.
I would like to load the Dynamic Galleries with a link if possible. Currently I have 3 Galleries.... China, Eqypt & Paris

Absolute dynamic select query with dynamic join and where

Has anyone ever tried creating an absolutely dynamic SELECT query with dynamic Join and Where conditions.
I have a requirement of creating such a query in an Utility Class, and i have written the code. But its throwing my sysntax errors.
Please let me know where am I going wrong OR is it really possible to create such a dynamic Query??

It worked for me in a following way:
select * into corresponding fields of table <result_table>
        from (join_string)
        where (l_where).
Where the contents of join_string were dynamically build using concatenation. So it will be something like
concatenate ME->TABLE1 'as a INNER JOIN' me->table2 'as b ON (' into join_string separated by space.
<...>
add here matching/reference colums, something like
concatenate 'a~' me->TABLE1_JOIN_COL into temp1.
concatenate 'b~' me->TABLE2_JOIN_COL into temp2.
concatenate join_string temp1 '=' temp2 into join_string separated by space.
<...>
concatenate join_string ')' into join_string separated by space.
And then use similar approach for l_where variable.

Dynamic Calc Member with Formula to Calculate a Rolling 13 Year

I have to create a rollup in my time dimension that will have 13 members representing each month of a 13 rolling forecast. I am having trouble setting this up as dynamic calc members with a formula assigned to it. For example, on of the members has the following formula.
As you can see, I am referencing several substitution variables since I want to make this as most dynamic as possible without having to make any changes to the formula member. Only making changes to the substitution variable. Any help would be much appreciated.

Dynamic queue name with JMS Queue XML?

Is it possible to use dynamic queue name with JMS Queue XML?
I tried using a variable in the JNDI URL, and supply the value in a package. I specified the following in the JNDI URL in the Topology:

I declared and set the variable in a package, then tried to load data from the above data server to database. But executing this package gave me the following error:

I have created a WD ABAP application in that i have used RadioGroupByKey and CheckBox Ui elements but i want how to write the dynamic code to that i want to display male and female to RadioGroupByKey and 10 lables to check boxs.
Please pass me some idea on it and send any documents on it .

How to create a dynamic table region with dynamic VO

I have a requirement to create a dynamic table region with a dynamic VO.
I need this because at runtime only the user will select the table name. So based on that table name, i have to create a table region to display the records.
I already created a dynamic VO. Could anyone share the code for dynamic table region creation.

Hi,
You can use following sample code to create advance table columns dynamically with colum groups as well.
It assumes that you have already created advance table with ID EmpTblRN.
Below code returns column heading dynamically and if you keep your VO column names and attributes
same in all the cases (COL1, COL2.....) then you can easily use a loop to create advance table columns.
It is attaching VO attributes to OAMessageStyledText bean in the last.

How to do multi-instrument with EXS instrument in Logic Express

Hello Logic Express Users,
I wonder if someone can help me. I can set up multi-instruments with Battery 2, and Kontakt 2, but I am battling to set up a multi-instrument when I am using the EXS with Logic Express. How do I assign the outputs to different outputs so that I can hear different instruments through different aux channels.
Or is it only possible with the EXS editor that comes with Logic Pro? Because if it is then it is weird why they make the EXS with Logic express a multi-instrument.

If you want to save an instrument patch together with plugins and so on, you should save it as a channel strip.
Use the channel strip menu at the top of the channel object. There is a defined directory for user channel strips, but you can create folders within it and organise your channel strip settings as you like.
These settings will show up in the channel strip menu, and the media browser too.
