Dynamic configuration multiple folders

Hi all,
I have a scenario in which the file adapter should pick multiple files from multiple directories and at the receiver side it should put these files in different folders with different file names. There is no content conversion involved and no message mapping
Please throw some light on how to achieve this
-Keerthi

I believe you can achieve your requirement by using one file communication channel (No need for Java mapping or custom code). Did you had a look the File channel option which allows to get Multiple files from Multiple directories?
Open File channel -> File access parameters -> Provide dummy file name and directory name
-> ENABLE Advanced Selection for Source File -> Provide each directory and File name scheme in each row.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards,
Ananth

  • Dynamically configure multiple numeric limit test measurements

    I seek to dynamically (programatically) configure a multiple numeric limit test such that I may set / increase / change the number of measurements in the step during execution. For example, I'd like to setup the step for 5 measurements:
    M1, M2, M3, M4, M5 with limits 4<=x<=13.
    I'll set the result data to {1,2,3,4,5}.
    I can successfully set:
    MyMultipleNumLimTestStep.ExpectedNumMeas = 5
    MyMultipleNumLimTestStep.NumericArray (Number of elements to 5)
    MyMultipleNumLimTestStep.DataSourceArray (Number of elements to 5)
    MyMultipleNumLimTestStep.Result.Measurement (Numer of elements to 5)
    Following that, I can access the individual measurement property objects (by offset) and set the Name, Limits.Low, Limits.High, etc...
    During execution, I can view the step variables to see the values getting set correctly.
    BUT, in the report, I only see measurement name, status and the measurement value. NOT the units, limits, comparison type.

    Measurement

    M4
    Passed
    4.000
    M5
    Passed
    5.000
    Take note, prior to execution, I have no entries defined in the Limits tab of the step settings for this step. If I were to define, say, two steps and run again:

    Hi jigg.
    I also need to configure a multiple numeric limit test programatically. Unfortunately your solution seems not to work (in Teststand 2013). Also with your code I get limits and comparsion entries in the report only for the first measurement. This is the one already existing in the step configuration.

    What is special with the preconfigured measurements, compared to the programatically created test? Any help is very appreciated.

  • File adapter dynamic configuration - Multiple filenames

    Hi
    Can anyone explaing the following.
    We are using the sender file adaper to pick up files from an ftp location. The dynamic config is used to store the filename.
    We are getting 1 PI message per file, but the dynamic config in SXMB_MONI is sometimes showing multiple filenames for one message.
    This makes it impossible to get the correct filename and do something usefull with it:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

  • Configuring multiple dynamic interfaces in 5508

    Hi,
    I have 5508 controller where as ap-manager interface configuration is optional but since i have different topology at other end , I have 4507 configured with HSRP and i want to divide the AP traffic in both the switches therefore I will have to go ahead and configure multiple AP-manager interface and map with two different physical ports.
    But I have challenge to configure multiple dynamic interfaces.
    I want to create two wlans ( Internal wlan and guest wlan )
    Internal WLAN : 192.168.10.0
    default gateway : 192.168.10.1
    internal DHCP server : 172.16.10.1
    Physical Port : ............... ?  which port to configure ? ( I have connectivity with port 1 & port 2 )
    Guest WLAN : 192.168.20.0
    Default gateway : 192.168.20.1
    Internal DHCP server : 172.16.10.1
    Physical port :  ............... ?  which port to configure ? ( I have connectivity with port 1 & port 2 )
    I want to map it to multiple ports of dynamic interfaces for client traffic to physical ports.
    how do i configure it ?

    In adition to Nico's answer, I would go throught the detailed guide for the configuration of dynamic interfaces:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/controller/7.0/configuration/guide/c70mint.html#wp1167723.

  • Two FileName in Dynamic Configuration

    Hi All,
    I have a very rare problem. In an interface which uses BPM, where file is the sender and Proxy is the target,
    there is an ABAP Class in the mapping which uses Dyanmic Configuration to retrieve the FileName and create a Proxy structure and posts it to the ECC. In this scenario, Multiple files are picked from different folder using advanced Selection and sent to BPM which uses the ABAP Class.
    When i run the interface with 5 different files placed at source, In SXMB_MONI, I can see that after 3 files are processed successfully with a single filename in the Dynamic Configuration, the 4th or the 5th one wil have 2 filenames in the dynamic configuration out of which the first filename will be the copy of the earlier processed filename and the second one wil be the actual required filename. The above behaviour keeps on chainging.
    How can this be possible as the Context Object 'FileName' can have only single filename through out the interface instance, as there is no setting of the filename done in dynamic configuration.
    Please reply if anyone has a solution to the above problem.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jaideep..
    Thanks for the reply.
    Yes.. its a serial processing. Let me explain a bit more.
    as i said above, after the 3rd BPM instance (Just as an example.. keeps on chainging), the 4th instance has a unique filename compared to before 3. but after processing, the Dynamic Configuration in SXMB_MONI will have 2 fileNames. which will have a copy of any one of the earlier filenames along with actual filename.

  • Multi-Mapping and Dynamic Configuration

    Hello,
    Is it possible to use dynamic configuration in mulltip-mapping? (message split?)
    in a  proxy-mail scenario I am using a multi-mapping. The message gets splited by a specif field.
    (Field of source message-SplitByValue(Value Change)-CollapseCOntext->Target Message(1..N)
    WIthin the graphical mapping I have a dynamic configuration for the "Mail Subject"
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey keySubj = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "THeaderSUBJECT");
    conf.put(keySubj,  pSubject);
    return pSubject ;
    I have mapped this field to a field in the target message.
    The messages are being splitted as expected and the value of pSubject is also correct.
    BUT when receiving emails the subject field has the same value for all splitted messages.
    My Question is "conf.put(keySubj,  pSubject);" overwitting all splitted outgoing messages?
    Thanks for the Help
    EMW

    As stated in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/09b16006526e72e10000000a422035/frameset.htm
    Adapter-Specific Attributes and Multi-Mappings
    In multi-mappings, there are multiple message headers with adapter-specific attributes. The mapping API can only access one message header. This has the following consequences depending on whether there are multiple source or target messages:
    ●     1:n Transformation
    If there are multiple target messages, the header for the adapter-specific attributes is copied for each message. This means that you can only create one header for all adapter-specific attributes, and not individual headers.
    ●     n:1 Transformation
    This variant is only possible for multi-mappings in integration processes. If there is more than one source message, read-access to the adapter-specific attributes of the various message headers is not possible at runtime.
    ●     m:n Transformation
    All afore-mentioned restrictions apply here. Developers can at most write the same adapter-specific attributes for all target messages to the header, without read-access to the attributes of the source messages. m:n transformations are only supported within integration processes.

    Henrique.

  • File archiving into multiple folders

    Hi,
    I have the below scenario:
    There are two folder paths that one XI sender channel is polling on. Multiple folders can be polled on using one channel with the help of "Advanced Selection of Source File" option in the Sender communication channel.
    But, I need your help in archiving the files to multiple folders.
    For example, I have two main folders A and B configured in the Sender communication channel.
    If the file has come to the folder A, it has to be archived in the 'A/archive' folder. Similarly, if the file has come to the folder B, it has to be archived in the 'B/archive' folder.
    Please note that archiving has to be done before message processing.
    1. I tried writing a script but it didnot work. If you have a script that worked, please provide me with the same.
    2. I cannot create two sender channels, since the sender agreement cannot be common for two channels for the same business system and message interface.
    Please help me if you have any other better optimum solutions.
    Regards,
    Subbu

    Hi Subbu,

  • Can't bookmark same page in multiple folders

    I've discovered that unlike in FF2, I can't save a same bookmark in two different folders. When I save the bookmark to a different folder '''it disappears from the first one it was in'''.
    There are instances where I like to have bookmarks in multiple folders. Is there a fix for this? (Other than going into the library and copy/pasting bookmarks manually)

    It may not be possible to bookmark in the way you are trying. It is however very easy to bookmark into duplicated folders or to duplicate bookmarks; as you are apparently aware.
    I have recently posted in two threads, one had a problem because of unintentional duplications
    The other had the problem you have,''' the solution is to work from the bookmarks library; that does allow you to duplicate bookmarks''', you can not only move them but you can also copy them.
    # [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/785766 link to thread] ''"Bookmarks are not synchronized between bookmarks-sidebar and bookmarks-menu/library" ''
    # [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/785750 link] '''''"Where to enable double bookmarking?"'''''
    You may also be interested in looking into firefox's features regarding smart bookmarks, including the dynamic search feature and the ability to tag bookmarks. I would have thought in most cases; because of the other features; it would not be necessary to duplicate bookmarks.
    You should also be aware:
    * there are many addons available regarding handling bookmarks
    * firefox v4 is in beta, and you can try it out without removing your current version (but remember to set up a separate profile) you may be interested n how that handles bookmarks.
    I will try and add the general links another day (I do not have my own bookmarks synced properly on this machine)
    I think firefox has got the balance correct. The other poster suggests the change was a deliberate decision.

  • Getting an error in Dynamic Configuration

    Hi Guys,
    I need to dynamically post the file into different directories based on the file in the source payload.
    In Receiver File Communication Channel
    Target Directory : *
    Filename : *
    Checked the ASMA Attributes for filename and directory
    Iam refering this weblog
    /people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping
    In the mapping
    <filename> ---> UDF --> topnode of target message.
    My UDF is as below
    public String Directory(String a,Container container){
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key  = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
    DynamicConfigurationKey key1 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "Directory");
    String FileName = conf.get(key);
    FileName = a;
    conf.put(key, FileName);
    String Directory = conf.get(key1);
    Directory = "/SAPInterface/XI/PPD/DHX/out";
    conf.put(key1, Directory);
    return " ";
    But in runtime(moni) iam getting  error as
    com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.MessagingException: The Adapter Message Property 'FileName' was configured as mandatory element, but there is no 'DynamicConfiguration' element in the XI Message header: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.configuration.DynamicConfigurationException: The Adapter Message Property 'FileName' was configured as mandatory element, but there is no 'DynamicConfiguration' element in the XI Message header
    Please suggest me how to correct this.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

    Hi Srinivas,
    You said you are having dynamic directories to post the file. But I see you hardcorded or put constant for directory which is /SAPInterface/XI/PPD/DHX/out. I think you need to put //SAPInterface/XI/PPD/DHX/out.
    Try this in udf:
    public String Directory(String a,Container container){
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key  = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
    DynamicConfigurationKey key1 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "Directory");
    String FileName = conf.get(key);
    FileName = a;
    conf.put(key, FileName);
    Directory = "//SAPInterface/XI/PPD/DHX/out";
    conf.put(key1, Directory);
    return " ";
    Put FileName and Directory in file name and directory paramters in receiver communication cahnnel and cehck.

  • Acces dynamic configuration variable (e.g. filename) in ABAP mapping class

    Hi experts
    I am searching for a possibility to acces a dynamic configuration variable (DCV) in an ABAP mapping class. Since I could not find a solution in SDN and other sources, I hope somebody in this forum can help me.
    What I already found is the following code which can be used to set a DCV, but what I would be interested in is how to read a DCV.

  • Dynamic configuration required in sender file - Adapter Module

    Hi Everybody,
    I am developing an Adapter Module in the file adapter (sender) using Adapter Specific Message Attributes.
    I am using Dynamic configuration inside the Module Process method in the adapter module.
    We are getting an error saying Dynamic Configuration cannot be resolved.
    Can anybody tell me the package to be used.
    Thanks,
    Zabiulla

    You can access the dynamic configuration in adapter module like this:
    Message msg = (Message) inputModuleData.getPrincipalData();
    String fileName = msg.getMessageProperty("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
    You do not need any addition library besides the adapter module API.
    Hope that helps

  • How to configure multiple IP-Adresses on one NIC in OVM

    Hi guys,
    we have some OVM Servers 2.2.1 installed. They all have three NICs in them (eth0-2). For eth0 and eth2 we need multiple IP-Adresses configured to work with our storage solution. The configuration should look like this:
    eth0:0 - 192.168.31.x
    eth0:1 - 192.168.33.x
    eth1 - 192.168.0.x
    eth2:0 - 192.168.32.x
    eth2:1 - 192.168.34.x
    I tried creating gonfig files ifcfg-eth0:0 in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts with the following content
    DEVICE=eth0:0
    BOOTPROTO=static
    ONBOOT=yes
    NETMASK=255.255.255.0
    IPADDR=192.168.31.3
    TYPE=Ethernet
    HWADDR=00:1b:21:06:f0:fa
    But it does not work. Neither eth0:0 nore an additional xenbr is configured when i restart.
    I can configure multiple ip addresses for xenbr0 by calling something like "ifconfig xenbr0 192.168.31.x". But these settings get lost as sonn as i reboot the server.
    I have already searched google, forums and blogs for a solution but could not find one. I thought that this should be a pretty common task. In "normal" linux it is not an issue at all.
    Has somebody any experience with a setup like this? I would really apreciate your help.
    Thanks
    Marek

    Hi,
    configuring IP aliasses seems to work the same way like configuring VLANs. You will have to configure the appropriate bridges at system startup manually.
    E.g. this little script is what I use to configure VLANs and briges on my OVM:
    #!/bin/bash
    echo "Configuring VLANs and bridges\n"
    echo "Configuring VLAN 24 on eth2"
    vconfig add eth2 24
    brctl addbr br2.24
    brctl addif br2.24 eth2.24
    ifconfig eth2.24 up
    ifconfig br2.24 up
    echo "Configuring VLAN 31 on eth2"
    vconfig add eth2 31
    brctl addbr br2.31
    brctl addif br2.31 eth2.31
    ifconfig eth2.31 up
    ifconfig br2.31 up
    This script is run at startup by init using this startup skript in /etc/init.d, which is what I think you're missing as you can already seem to bring up the needed IPs manually - you'd have to change the chkconfig accordingly, that is make sure that the config script gets startet after the network has been brought up, like this: # chkconfig: 2345 11 91
    [root@oraclevm01 ~]# cat /etc/init.d/vlan-config
    #! /bin/bash
    # vlan-config configure VLANs
    # chkconfig: 2345 11 89
    # description: Configures VLANs at boot time before the \
    # network is started.
    ### BEGIN INIT INFO
    # Provides: $vlan
    ### END INIT INFO
    # Source function library.
    . /etc/init.d/functions
    if [ ! -f /etc/vlan-config ]; then
    exit 0
    fi
    # See how we were called.
    case $1 in
         start)
                   # configure vlans
                   /etc/vlan-config
              echo $"Usage: $0 {start}"
              exit 1
    esac
    exit 0

  • How to configure multiple IP addresses on one NIC?

    Hi,
    I just installed a OVM Server in version 3.2.1 and the according VMManager. Now i wanted to try to configure the Server/Server Pool. Now i come across a problem, which was already a big problem in OVM 2 while configuring the Networks.
    All our OVM Servers have three NICs in them. One is for VMs and Management, the others are for connection to our SAN (Dell PowerVault MD 3220i). My problem is, that due to the network setup, the two NICs for storage need two IP addresses in two different networks each. This shouldn't be a problem, because usually in linux all you have to do is configure something like eth1:1. I remember having huge trouble configuring it in our OVM 2 cluster up to the point where I had to write a shell script to configure the second IP.
    Anyways, I have configured two of the storage networks on eth1 and eth2 of the VM Server. Now i cannot configure any more IP addresses, because eth1 and eth2 are not available anymore for configuration in a third network. I really hoped that it would be possible in OVM 3 to configure multiple IP addresses. And probably it is only my lack of knowledge of how to configure it.
    So any advice is well appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Marek Hubatka

    You should be able to do this by using "VLAN Groups".
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35328_01/E35332/E35332.pdf
    Check out the VLAN groups section. You must great the VLAN groups before you can assign them to interfaces.

  • Shortcut to close multiple folders in List View

    In the Finder, in list view, I have multiple folders open (using the triangle by the Folder name). I'd like to be able to close all the open folders at once. I know that holding Option while clicking the red Close button on a window will close multiple windows and I want to do something similar with the folders.
    I'm sure I knew how to do this once but can't remember now.
