Dynamic Creation of UI in adobe forms??

Hi Experts,
I need to create a dynamic interactive form and dynamic UI elements in the interactive form.
As per my requirement I need to display a pdf and I will be getting values from the RFC's. I need to show the form segments and the UI elements only when there's a data from the RFC else not. I am unable to understand whether this requirement needs generation of the UI elements dynamically or I can do it statically as well.
The form thus generated will be having data from the RFC which based on the data quantity may exceed to n number of pages.
In case it needs dynamic creation can you suggest me please how to achive it in interactive forms?

Flow content
Allow page breaks
Place: following previous-----> This means when you are repeating the subform the previous one should be followed.
Say you have a table and have 3 columns in it.
After 1st column is completed, the next column should come with 1st comun
After: Continue filling parent--->Continously fill the data with the parent element
Repeat sub form min count is 1 : Minimum of 1 line item will be printed
Height: Expand to fit is true.: If the field height is increased it automatically expands.
For help in Adobe Press F1 or Goto Help--> Adobe Designer Help in Adobe Designer
After installing Adobe Designer, goto the specific folder
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Designer 8.0\EN you can get sample documents.
For help press F1 after opening designer.
Sub Form1: Content--> Flowed, Flow direction --> Top to bottom
Binding --> Check the checkbox Repeat Subform for each data item
Subform 2: Content --> Positioned, No pagination No binding settings changes needed.
Hey i forgot to mention the Header Subform where you create all these subforms should be flowed.

I have created a drop down list using enumerated drop down list from webdynpro native tab and binded in the object palette by giving $record.sap-vhlist.DESCR\.DATA\.FIELD.item[]* in the list items dynamically.DESCR is the field in the internal table into which i fetched data from the database table .I have written this code in a BADI.I dont know whether my form's display type is activex or native? I have done a dynamic drop down list in which DESCR field comes from database table and pops into the drop down dynamically. I was working for a PCR scenario so the adobe form was called from portal.I will tell u all the required steps.It might work for u as it is working for me:
1.In the form:
I used two elements from library first is a "ENUMERATED DROP DOWN LIST NO SELECT" from web-dynpro native tab and second is "ISR_TEXT DISPLAY INVISIBLE ON EDIT MODE" from ISR controls tab.Place them one on other inthe form.
For drop down list the setting are:
     In object, field tab click on list items there in ITEMS put :$record.sap-vhlist.DESCR\.DATA\.FIELD.item[*].in ITEMS TEXT write text in ITEMS KEY write key.
     In binding,in default binding put $record.DESCR.DATA[*].FIELD.
For text element the settings are:
     In binding,default binding put Normal.
     when we select ISR_TEXT DISPLAY INVISIBLE ON EDIT MODE it automatically comes with calculated read only int he value tab.so open script editor and place the below code:
$record.DESCR.DATA.FIELD (in calculate).
2.Now the code in BADI is as follows:
In BADI we have to write the code for drop down list in the METHOD "SCENARIO_SET_ADDITIONAL_VALUES"
As i didnt change the standard BADI i added an enhancement spot in which i wrote a function module which fills ADDITIONAL_DATA. and the below code fills the ADDITIONAL_DATA .
DATA: t_t572b TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF t572b WITH HEADER LINE,
        t_t554t TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF t554t WITH HEADER LINE.
SELECT * FROM t572b INTO TABLE t_t572b WHERE sprsl EQ 'E'.
CLEAR ls_additional_data-fieldindex.
LOOP AT t_t572b.
    ADD 1 TO ls_additional_data-fieldindex.
    ls_additional_data-fieldname ='DESCR_KEY'.
    ls_additional_data-fieldvalue = t_t572b-descd.
    APPEND ls_additional_data TO additional_data.
    ls_additional_data-fieldname ='DESCR_LABEL'.
    ls_additional_data-fieldvalue = t_t572b-descr.
    APPEND ls_additional_data TO additional_data.
    CLEAR t_t572b.
ENDLOOP.
For DESCR field the we have to declare DESCR_KEY and DESCR_LABEL in the place holders for key values and palce holders for default values in characteristics tab(where all the fields for the form are defined) of ur respective scenario.(where ur pcr scenario is defined)

If ur form is not called from portal and u want a dynamic drop down list the difference is put a data drop down list and in object, field tab click on list items there in ITEMS select the field into which u populated the data from the database table (this code shud be written in code Initialization in the respective interface) and in ITEMS TEXT put $ in ITEMS KEY put $.and in binding as we normally do bind it to the respective field in which the data is populated from database table.
It should work.

Dynamic row counter column in Adobe Forms

Hi Guys,
My table in Adobe Forms is dynamically created with Conditional Breaks. I want to display 1st column as Sr.No. displaying row counter for tables on each page.
Anyone have idea how to achieve the same.

How to handle tables data in XML schema based adobe form

Hi all,
I am working on the CRM business partner creation by using Interactive adobe form with following steps:
1) Uploaded the offline Interactive adobe form to online interactive adobe form via WebDynpro ABAP;
2) Capture XML data into corresponding BAPI structures;
3) Save all the changes to database via BAPI.
The adobe form contains customer information as well as several table views which are bind with the context created in WebDynpro: Node NEW_BP_NODE cardinality 1:1 with single attributes and table type attributes (1:n): COLOUR_COMP, MEN_COMP etc.
While converting the xml format data to SAP context format, It is fine to use following routine to find the single attribute and map to the BAPI structure to do the database update.
NODE = DOCUMENT->FIND_FROM_NAME( NAME = 'XYZu2019).
XYZ = NODE->GET_VALUE( ).
Question: how to convert the xml table data to SAP context format in WebDynpro ABAP?

Hi,
Just follow these steps:
1. Create interactive form UI element in your view.
2. Now provide Datasource and PDFSOURCE to it in form properties.
3. Now give a template name prefix with 'Z' or 'Y'.
4. Double click on it. It will prompt for interface name.
5. Provide interface name prefixed with 'Z' or 'Y'.
6. Click on Context button in the Pop up window and provide the node you have selected as DATASOURCE.
7. Click ok and it will open the form designer.
8. In this way you can create a XML Schema based Form.
9. Activate the interface and design the form providing layout type and other details.

Creation of UI elements on click of a button in ADOBE form

Hello Experts,
I have a requirement which is ,
on the ADOBE form after pressing some action Button i need to create a row of UI elements like Textbox label and Radio button with the values coming from Backend WDA application.
Number of rows created are equivalent to number of times button is clicked.
Also in some cases i have to preload the rows with the existing data.
Please let me know if this requirement can be accomplished in ADOBE form.
Any inputs ,Suggestion and help will be very helpful.

I resolved this by creating elemnts in WD context on click of a button in ADOBE form,And in form i used the WD context structure as a table with required cell editors.
PDF form should be of type dynamic in this case.

Multiple images into a subform in a dynamic non-interactive adobe form

I want to convert a set of images into a PDF (one page for each image) with Webdynpro. I'm trying with a non-interactive adobe form.
I followed the tutorial "Dynamic Non-Interactive PDF Form".
I've got a multiple Context node: 'Images' with a string attribute 'url' for each image.
In the form, I've created subform1, and subform2 within. I put an image field into subform2, setting its url to: $record.Images[*].url
and its script to: this.value.image.href = xfa.resolveNode(this.value.image.href).value;
It doesn't work.
If I add a field into subform2 binding it to url attribute, I can see some lines with the correct path for each image, but the image isn't displayed.
It works with a single dynamic image in the page. What am I doing wrong?

No. It's form scripting. In any case I'm working with Webdynpro Java.
I tried this code in table 'initialize' event.

Table1.Row1[int].ImageField.value.image.href = $record.Images[int].url;
Table1.Row1[int].Cell4.value.#image.href = $record.Images[int].url;
endfor
Cell4 is a static image.
In 04SP9, it show always the same image in the image field (first column), and alternating image in cell4 (second column).
In 04sSP6, it shows always the same image in all the rows in both columns.
Any idea? I didn't find any OSS related.

Merging of cells of a dynamic table in adobe form

Hi,
I am trying to Merge 2 columns in a dynamic table in adobe form.The requirement is to merge column 3 and column 4 if column 4 is empty. I used the below javascript code in both "Form ready " and Initialize event of the row.
if (this.Cell4.rawValue == " ")
this.Cell3.colSpan = "2";
this.Cell4.presence = "hidden";
Note : Since above code was not working , i used the below code in my subform also but it did not returned desired output.
if(Table22.Row1.Cell1.rawValue == " ")
Table22.Row1.Cell3.colSpan = "2";
Table22.Row1.Cell4.presence = "hidden";
The problem is that in my dynamic table , its the second row where the requirement is fulfilled ie in the 2nd entry of my table the column4 is blank (the exact row number might change depending on input data).
is there a way to loop in the dynamic table and check if column 4 is empty for a particular row.
the above code does not help to fulfill my requirements. kindly help.

Populate Default Dynamic Filename In Adobe Form (On Click of Save in Menu) - SAP

We have a scenario in which we want to populate the file name dynamically in Adobe form integrated in SAP Webdynpro.
Scenario -
A adobe form has been intergrated in the SAP webydnpro application which opens the form in Web Browser (IE).
There is a save button which is part of standard adobe form menu and on click of that save button (circled - 1 in image ) the name of the form ( i.e techincal name of adobe form created in SAP {ZTESTSS} ( circled - 2 in image ) appears.
We want to change the default name to (employee_date_time ) on click of save.
We have found a approch by using the folder level javascripts (http://forums.adobe.com/message/2266799#2266799%232266799).
In case we use folder level scripts "where should we write the JavaScript code in the Adobe Form to trrigger the this script on click of Save Button (in the menu)?"
Also is there any other apporch which does not require folder level javascript as its a security issue also we need to maintain in all the user systems.
Please let me know the approch to address the issue.

Hi,
you can't change the behavior of the save button in the browser nor in Reader/Acrobat.
You can add a custom button within your form which calls a custom script from a folder level script using the browserForDoc method.
The browseForDoc methos is the only one whcih can change the name in the saveAs dialog.
Here's an example., you can run from Acrobat console.
You need to combine it with the solution from the other thread to make it work with your form.

Read mutliple dynamic rows of a Table in Adobe Form into GP's context

Hello All,
I have a GP scenario where in user inputs multiple rows of data in a table which is on an Interactive Adobe Form.
I want to read those values entered dynamically and passed between callable objects.
Please could you suggest on this? If you post any sample code that would be of great help.

I checked the mentioned form and, as this table is setted as TABLEROW and some of its cells are static, is not possible to change the column size in the layout or even though changing it directly in the XML file, cell by cell. I was trying it.
For example, choose the Cell6 of TABLEROW[0] and click on tab 'XML Source'. You will see this statement:
<draw colSpan="3" h="16.3166mm" name="Cell7" w="22.225mm">
You can try to change the value 'colSpan' according to your requirement.
This table size is not modifiable because it was developed to it.
I believe that Diego's suggestion can help in this case, if you are having problems to print the entire table on the page.

Dynamic Text in Adobe forms

hi all,
I am working o adobe forms, i have to print a paragraph text which has both dymanic and static elemets in it. By putting all the text in a static text it works fine, but allignment does not happen properly.
do we have something like &.....& we have in smartforms.???
I saw in a example in which the variable was used as { } and that was dynamically filled at run-time... but i am not able to do the same...may be i am missing some settings or something...
Any help will be appreciated....in this regard.

Hello,
if you send a text into a text field to the print form, it looks like a paper print, you cannot tell where there is a picture and where is the text. So you don´t care about the image/ text problem. If you need to make difference between two for the user, you can put the text (your image) into a rectangle, use a background or anything like this.
Why would the image make any difference?

Adobe form - Printing images dynamically

I have created a simple read-only (not interactive) Adobe form. At the end of the document, I need to print a signature depending upon the approver (which I can access from the data structure imported into the form.).
If I create an image field, how do I assign the image dynamically depending on the approver?
I have thought of an alternative solution of creating 3 separate forms each with a static image of the signature and calling a separate form in the program depending on the approver. But I was wondering if I can assign images dynamically so that I can have only one form.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How to handle Adobe Form - Dynamic Tables.

Experts:
I am new to Web DynPro for ABAP and Adobe Interactive forms.
I have created a Adobe form with dynamic table. When I submit the form, WD4A is able to read only the first row of the table. Other rows are getting lost.
I thought just binding with the context will trasfer data from Adobe to WD4A. But it is not happending.
Do I need to write any code in WD4A and any script in Adobe Designer?
Can any one send me a sample code (ABAP and JavaScript). Even link to that will be very useful.

Hi Shabeer,
the first thing is that you are running on a very very low RAM.
For ECC 6.0 with dual stack SAP System to run you should have atleast 4 GB of RAM.
For your Dispatcher issue kindly check the status of your Oracle database and the connection from SAP To Database.
You can check the oracle status using brtools utility.
