Dynamic Dropdown key bind in the row

hi all,
i am facing a typical scenario where, <b>for each row in a table of 10 cells i have 1 cell with dropdownbykey control. the requirement is that based on the row's data the dropdownkey's content differs. ie.,
row 1's -> dropdownkey control's content can have x,y,z
row 2's -> dropdownkey control's content can have a,b,c
row z's ->dropdownkey control's content can have m,n,c</b>
Now problem is that if each row's dropdown content doesnt change then i can bind the simple type to the cell, which would have the same dropdown values for all the row's.
BUT in my case each row's dropdown key value differs based on some XYZ condition (fetch data from bapi/backend).
Could anyone suggest me the alternative or solution for this problem.

You cannot use DropdownByKey for this functionality. Instead you can use DropdownByIndex for achieving this. This query may help help you in this regard. TableView

If I undestand you, I think you should do this:

     callableStatement.setString(1, "Center name");
     callableStatement.registerOutParameter(2, java.sql.Types.INTEGER);
          callableStatement.executeUpdate();
          idCenter=callableStatement.getInt(2);
This way, you have in idCenter the primary key of the line that has just been inserted.

Key binding in Forms 6i

Hi All,
I have a problem with key binding. I have tried different permutations of changing the key binding using the Oracle Terminal on FMRUSW.RES FILE to no avail. I have edited the keys of windows-sqlforms normal and used USER DEFINED KEY 2, etc but when I try to generate the file it gives the error 'failed to find action for user defined key 2 for an entry in "normal" in sqlforms. I have even gone to the extent of merely changing the bindings of the old entries to see whether it would work. It would give no error when generating but in the application the triggers did not work. I have even changed the Product Actions by inserting the code in the actions column but without any success.
What I really want is for example to execute the key triggers in the application e.g. F2 would fire the trigger 'execute query', F3 to fire trigger 'copy', etc.
I will appreciate any help I can get. Please note that I have gone through the numerous materials on the subject but they have not solved the problem.

I coded the key mapping as follows:
I created a menu item. To call the code, you have to give a name for an accelerator key in the property palette for the menu item e.g. "start_menu".
Let's say, to invoke the menu item, you have to press "Ctrl+E". So you have to set the key mapping in your *.res-file like this:
69 : 2 : "Ctrl+E" : 85 : "start_menu"
Explaination:
69: Code for "Ctrl+E"
2: Java Modifier Number for "Control"
85: Forms function number ("User Defined Key 3", look at the file I send to you !)
I don't know, if that's the solution, because you wanted to map F1, F2...., but it shouldn't be a problem to switch my solution to F-keys. But perhaps, some of the Forms functions (e.g. F7 for Enter-Query-Mode) won't work then.

Defining a key binding for a character key

I would like to redefine the behavior of a keyboard key that is associated with a Unicode character. For example, in a JTextField, I would like to override the default behavior which is to insert that character. The documentation I have seen recommends using InputMap and ActionMap. The problem I am running into is that defining a mapping for a KeyCode traps the KEY_PRESSED event, but the default action (which involves the KeyChar) traps the KEY_TYPED event. In other words, if I define a key binding for the intended KeyCode, the default binding for the associated KeyChar remains in effect. Is there a way to discover the mapping from KeyCode to KeyChar so that I can map the KeyChar to a null action? Or should I give up on InputMap and ActionMap and use an event listener?

Add dynamic buttons to each report row and bind the row data to buttons specific to that row

I have a page with a form at the top and a report at the bottom which is tied to a table. I need to add a pair of buttons for each row of the table and add dynamic actions for these buttons. I need to submit the data corresponding to the row to a REST service and refresh the table/row. I know it is possible to add ajax call and refresh the table after the response is received. But I am not sure how I can dynamically include a pair of buttons on each row and have the access the data corresponding to the record when a particular button is clicked. I was not able to find such a feature using the help page. Can you please let me know if this is possible. Thanks in advance.

If you edit the column for button1 and navigate to the Column Formatting region you can create your button here, several different ways. You will need to play around with how you prefer. See below:
<input class="button1" type="button" id="#R_ID#" value="label for the button" /> or <button id="#R_ID#">label for button</button> or you could use <a> and apply css of your theme.
You also create both buttons in a single column. From here you can reference any of the columns from your select by using the #COLUNMNAME# format (as I did with R_ID).
You will next need to something similar for all columns you want to be able to grab when you click the buttons. See below:

You would do these for each column that you want access to when button clicked as mentioned above. You could bypass this step and use jquery to traverse the DOM using .closest() and .find() and give each column a distinct class. Is is your preference.
You would then create a dynamic action triggered when .button1 is clicked. Now that you have that object you can get the id of the triggering object which would be your r_id and from there you can access all your individual data points(all this done in a javascript in the dynamic action) and assign to hidden items on your page. The next step of that dynamic action you could execute pl/sql and pass those in page items.

Just as a bit of clarification: the r_id column does not have to be rowid, but it does need to be unique for each row return. You could use your primary key or rownum. Whatever works for your scenario.

Dynamic Table in PDF - only first row passed to the WD Java

I'm working with Web Dynpro for Java on WAS 2004s SP13, ADS for SP13 and LiveCycle Designer 7.1
I am facing a problem related to PDF-dynamic table generation.
I am creating the PDF form with a dynamic table, an empty row will be added, when ADD button is clicked, the row will be deleted when DELETE button is clicked. After form submit, only first row of the table is passed to the Web Dynpro. I'v tried to use different dataSource Context node structure without results. The structure diescribed in the thread [Dynamic Table - same data repeating in all rows; doesnt works for me. The same happend if i try to folow the advise from Wiki https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/Creating%20Table%20in%20Interacting%20form%20using%20Web%20Dynpro.
Beside this, my DropDown list in the table column is not populated. I know how to populate the DropDown list outside of table. That's working fine. But the DropDown in the table just not respond on the click (is not going open). I'm pretty sure that this is a result of a Context node structure/binding issue.
Please suggest me how can i implement dynamic table and populate the data in table dropdown column.

You describe exactly my situation. The node which is bound to the table row has cardinality 1..n. Exactly Context structure is:
node dataSource (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> dataSource of the Interactive Form
subnode TableList (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table in the Interactive Form
subnode TableWrapper (cardinality 1..n/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table row in the Interactive Form
subnode TableData (cardinality 0..1/ Singleton false) ======> table data
attribute 1 ====> Context nodeattribute bound to the table row field
attribute 2
This structure is recommanded in the post that I found on the Forum (see the firs hyperlink in my firs post).
Is this structure correct? Why is not working?

JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key

I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.
    BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
     OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();
   if (!operationBinding.getErrors().isEmpty())
    return null;
b. Marked 'Refresh on Insert' , 'Refresh on Update', 'Change Indicator' checkboxes for all the attributes in the entities associated with efttBilling View Object.
c. Tried to Requery View Object. Created a refreshViewObject method in Application Module Impl.java file, exposed this method to the client interface and created a invokeMethod Action binding in home.jspx

How to display the rows dynamically in the table display in web dynpro abap

Hi experts,
There is a visible row count tab where you can give the no of rows to be displayed in the output table, but i want it to be done dynamically as the row count of my table may change dynamically at runtime.
And i want to know how to reduce the width of a column as my table display is taking the length as per the binded table specifications.Can anyone please help me out in this issue.

You can bind the visiblerowcount property to the a context attribute. and at runtime you can set the context attribute to the no of rows you want in your table,

Follow below steps
Step 1 - Create basic wdp table
Step 2 - Create context to store dropdown values Within your web dynpro application table
Now you need to create a context node to store the dropdown values, but this needs to be within the context node of your table.
For this example I will use fields CARRID and CARRNAME from structure SCARR to create the dropdown list within the table context.
Choose the attributes to represent the id and the text values
The finished context should now look like this
Step 3 - Update context mapping within VIEW
Within the Context tab of your view update the context node you have just modified (CARRIERS) right click and select 'Update Mapping'. Alternatively if this is a new context drag it from the right hand window and drop it onto the context node in the left window,
Step 4 - Update table field
Within the layout tab of the view, field the table field you want to replace with with a dropdown and remove the UI element associated with it
Now insert new dropdownbyindex UI cell element
Step 5 - Assign Dropdown Ui element to Context
Click on your UI element within the Layout tab, you will now see all the properties for this element which can be changed. You now need to assign the field within the context which you want to be displayed in the drop down i.e. it will be the CARRNAME field within context element DROPDOWN_CARR. To do this simply click on the button at the end of the 'texts' property (the one with a yellow square and circle on it) and select the correct context field.
Step 6 - ABAP code to populate dropdown list and set correct initial value
Insert the following ABAP code into the appropriate place. For this example it will go within the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method of the view.
Data: it_scarr type standard table of scarr, wa_scarr like line of it_scarr, context_node type ref to if_wd_context_node. Remove the Enter key binding from a JPopupMenu

Hi,
Does anyone know how to remove the Enter key binding from a JPopupMenu?
So when the popupmenu is showing and you type Enter, nothing should happen and the menu should stay where it is.
I have tried:
popup.getActionMap().put("enter", null);
popup.getInputMap().put(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER, 0), "enter");but the popup always disappears.
Any ideas?

First of all, that is not the proper way to "remove" a key binding. Read the Swing tutorial on [How to Use Key Bindings|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/misc/keybinding.html#howto] for more information.
However, we still have a couple of problems:
a) the input map is dynamically built as the popup menu is displayed
b) the input map is built for the root pane, not the popup menu
The following seems to work:
popup.show(...);
InputMap map = getRootPane().getInputMap(JTable.WHEN_IN_FOCUSED_WINDOW);
map.put(KeyStroke.getKeyStroke("ENTER"), "none");

What's going on here ? Something with rowKeySet ?

Hi,
I made my tree model variable non transient and the warning message appears again.
I implement the gantt in the same way as you did in the demo
1st) populate ArrayList (As far as I'm concerned, it's populated via @EJB)
2nd) create TreeModel with a helper class as in the demo which extends ChildPropertyTreeModel and implements TaskKey
In my browser all the stuff is running fine except this warning message.
I use for info JDev 12c

Dropdown List binding from web-service storing the reference not the value

Hi,
In my human task form, I have a dropdown field who's value list has to be derived from a web-service exposing a table holding the list of values.
It works perfectly fine for the end-user, as in when a user selects a value, say 'XYZ' in step-1 the next user in step-2 is able to see the value as 'XYZ'.
However, when I check the payload of the the composite instance in enterprise manager after the instance has left step-1, I do not see the value 'XYZ' in the payload XML; instead I see a string oracle.jbo.Key[2 0 ]. It seems like BPM is storing some sort of a reference to that value that it resolves at run-time thus displaying 'XYZ'. As the user changes the value from the list, the array seem to be changing like [3 0],[1 0],etc.
Is this how it is expected to behave ? Doesn't seem to be right to me as for all other fields it promptly stores the actual value in the payload and not any sort of reference
Here's what I did:
1. Added a Data Control of type web-service and provided the wsdl link for the same. The wizard asks for the operations which in my case is a simple 'select'
2. From the data control corresponding to the human-task data model, I dragged the field and selected Single Choice>ADF Select One Choice control
3. Edit binding page opens where the data-control of the web-service is enabled and has the option for providing the input for the web-service
4. Click ok and the next screen displays 'edit list binding' for the field dragged from the human task payload. Here I add the data control's output object (iterator). Then I provide the data mapping where I define the ID field identifying the value user would select. The display attribute has description of the id.

could you help me please with resolving this error "JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key..." - I am just getting a row from a view by bind "filter" variable, then I am assigning new values for some of the attributes - and trying to commit ..unsuccessfully..
View is based on Entity.
I saw directive for setting Entity's attributes as "update after insert / update" - but this did not help me.

Please try this solutions:
One solution is to change the ADF BC locking behavior to optimistic instead of pessimistic. Choose the AM and click the Configuration context menu option. Select the LocalAM entry and go to the Properties. Scroll down to the locking setting and change the existing entry
If there is a trigger changing values, you need to mark those attributes (the ones that may be changed) as refresh after insert and/or refresh after update in your Entity Object.

Error on commit: Another user has changed the row with primary key : Rec_10

i am using jdev 11g R2
i implemented a master form and two detail tables on a jspx page
added createInsert, commit and rollback buttons
actions from these buttons all are executed from a bean
for entity attributes: refresh after insert and update are marked as checked
i am using login page for authorizing the user by getting the user information from user table
and then using the userid i am applying the setVisible property on some components at bean code
when i am inserting a new row there is no problem, here i am generating the new id like 'Rec_10', using a database sequence
but when i am trying to update a current record, it is showing the error --> Error on commit: JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key[Rec_22 ]
on clicking the commit button and also it is not updating the record on database
