Dynamic line type creation in 620
I'm trying to create a dynamic line type for a structure to create an internal table. While this is possible starting from 640 using RTTC, it is my understanding that this is not possible in 620. Any ideas?
Hi,
May be this way, I am not 100% sure about this in 6.20
DATA: new_table_dyn TYPE REF TO data,
new_line_dyn TYPE REF TO data.
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <it_itab> TYPE STANDARD TABLE,
<wa_line> TYPE ANY.
CALL METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
EXPORTING
it_fieldcatalog = it_dyncat
IMPORTING
ep_table = new_table_dyn.
ASSIGN new_table_dyn->* TO <it_itab>.
CREATE DATA new_line_dyn LIKE LINE OF <it_itab>.
ASSIGN new_line_dyn->* TO <wa_line>.

Dynamic line items creation Programatically.
My requirement is to manually create Dynamic line items based on
some values from the existing dynamic line item.
During Dynamic Line Item processing; When the Last 3 chars of Z field
ZWBSMOD is changing; then insert a DLI with Material is
MODULE-<3 chars>.
Which the exit for creating DLI programatically ??Hi Amruta,
Your question is not clear, could you please explian where you want to add line item dynamically?

Dynamic Internal Table creation and population
Hi gurus !
my issue refers to the slide 10 provided in this slideshow : https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b332e090-0201-0010-bdbd-b735e96fe0ae
My example is gonna sound dumb, but anyway: I want to dynamically select from a table into a dynamically created itab.
Letu2019s use only EKPO, and only field MENGE.
For this, I use Classes cl_abap_elemdescr, cl_sql_result_set and the Data Ref for table creation. But while fetching the resultset, program dumps when fields like MENGE, WRBTR are accessed. Obviously their type are not correctly taken into account by my program.
Here it comes:
DATA: element_ref TYPE REF TO cl_abap_elemdescr,
vl_fieldname TYPE string,
tl_components TYPE abap_component_tab,
sl_components LIKE LINE OF tl_components_alv,
linetype_lcl TYPE REF TO cl_abap_structdescr,
ty_table_type TYPE REF TO cl_abap_tabledescr,
g_resultset TYPE REF TO cl_sql_result_set
u2026
CONCATENATE sg_columns-table_name '-' sg_columns-column_name INTO vl_fieldname.
* sg_columns-table_name contains 'EKPO'
* sg_columns-column_name contains 'MENGE'
* getting the element as a component
element_ref ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>describe_by_name( vl_fieldname ).
sl_components-name = sg_columns-column_name.
sl_components-type ?= element_ref.
APPEND sl_components TO tl_components.
* dynamic creation of internal table
linetype_lcl = cl_abap_structdescr=>create( tl_components ).
ty_table_type = cl_abap_tabledescr=>create(
p_line_type = linetype_lcl ).
u2026
* Then I will create my field symbol table and line. Code has been cut here.
CREATE DATA dy_line LIKE LINE OF <dyn_table>.
u2026
* Then I will execute my query. Here itu2019s: Select MENGE From EKPO Where Rownum = 1.
g_resultset = g_stmt_ref->execute_query( stmt_str ).
* Then structure for the Resultset is set
CALL METHOD g_resultset->set_param_struct
EXPORTING
struct_ref = dy_line.
* Fetching the lines of the resultset => Dumpu2026
WHILE g_resultset->next( ) > 0.
ASSIGN dy_line->* TO <dyn_wa>.
APPEND <dyn_wa> TO <dyn_table>.
ENDWHILE.
Anyone has any clue to how prevent my Dump ??
The component for MENGE seems to be described as a P7 with 2 decimals. And the resultset wanna use a QUAN type... or something like that !Hello
I have expanded your sample coding for selecting three fields out of EKPO:

Dynamic Connection Pool Creation Failing in a cluster

Slava,
I am working with Mike on this issue and wanted to add some moreclarifications.
We have a two server cluster where one of the EJB's on one of the Managedservers
creates the connection pool. The problem comes in when a request comes tothe
second server in the cluster. The connection pool is created by the firstserver
but it is only assigned to the first server in the targets section on theconsole.
It isn't assigned to the cluster. Is there a way to programmaticallyassign the
pool to the cluster instead of just the server that created the pool?

Hi Michael,
Could you show us the code? Without looking at the code
I can only say that JdbcServices.poolExists(someName)
returns true only in case the pool is up and running.
If the connection pool MBean was created but not assigned
a target, subsequent tries to create it would fail.

how to identify line type of lv_ttype in the program.
Thanks,

ALV Graphs: How to set line type graph as default graph
Hi All,
I need to develop a line graph. The fields on the X-axis will change dynamically. Some times they may be 10 field and some times they may be more than 100 fields. I tried with Function Module GFW_PRES_SHOW_MULT. But I can only display maximum 32 fields. Can anyone tell me exact program which helps me to full fill my requirement. It will be a great help if you could told how do display line type graph as default graph in ALV. In REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY there is a Exporting parameter MT_CHART_TYPES but this help you only to enter description for X-axis and Y-axis.
Many thanks in advance.I would call GRAPH_MATRIX_2D with options depending on representation you wish
look at the program GRBUSG_1 to see how to use it
there you have some options to display bar chart, but you could use other values (complete list of options is available in documentation of function module GRAPH_MATRIX_2D - click on parameter OPTS in help display to see full explanation)
exemple:
P2TYPE = LN to display lines -
Configurator Assigning Line Type in Sales Order
Hello!
Our business needs certain items on a PTO configuration to populate on the sales order lines with a specific line type.
Example:
Part # X BOM Sales Model
- Part # A Option Class
- Part # 123 Needs line type with workflow for 'Line Flow - Generic'
- Part # B Option Class
- Part # 567 Needs line type with workflow for 'Line Flow - Return for no-credit
with Receipt'
From having read some of the documentation, it seems that this might be possible by using Configurator Extension Rules...
Has anyone successfully populated line types on the sales order through the configurator?
Thanks!!
LaceyHi Lacey,
The answer is yes, but...
The Oracle Telecommunications Service Ordering (TSO) flow has this capability, where an extension (CX) supplied by Oracle Development writes out line type data. The line type assignments are specified using a set of specific properties and values. You can look at Document B14384-01 for more details, and Metalink Note 333976.1 for the source code for the extension.
However, I suspect you're not using the TSO flow. And without that, you won't be able to use the code above and have everything just work. Order Management won't automatically populate the line types from the configuration results for non TSO models (also known as Container models).
I think you can emulate the approach, but you may need to both use a CX as well as a customization on the OM side. Rather than use the extension I mentioned above, you may be able to just generate the line types you want as attributes of the selected items. It depends on whether the line types are dynamic during your configuration session, or static - and bound to the selected item. If they're static, you don't need a CX, you just need a customization in OM to retrieve the line type from the item.
If they're dynamic, you could use the attributes CX to write out the line type you want for each selected item, then use the OM customization to retrieve the line type from the configured attributes. In either case, you need OM to pull the data.

Create Structure with dynamical Table-Type
Hi experts,
is there a possibility, to create a structure via SE11 and including there a field which referes to a dynamic table-type.
So that I can append to this structure-field all different table-types?
for example: ones I append MARA[] and ones AFKO[]
Thx for helpHi Christian,
There's not predefined generic type to do that, but you could create your own field type (deep structure) which would be able to keep table lines after transposition (90 degree flip) where in example it would have four columns: Table type, row id(index) field name, value. That way you could store ANY table row you need... This will not come cheap and will involve some work of course.
You may want have a look at standard ABAP services RRTS and RTTI (see classes and structures used in attributes an parameters) - these are two services for handling data types and metadata related operations during runtime. You may want to use them for flipping your table entries to the tabular form and so on. You may also find some ideas there on how to compose your own data type for your purposes.
Good luck!

Hi MM PPl,
Need little help here.
Can someone tell me difference between different line types in service detail's screen?
How would it affect the business process,especially 'STANDARD' and 'CONTIGENCY' type?
Rewards for useful info.
regards,
vaibhav.Hi
if you flag a service as Contigency line then the service is not essential to the execution of the order. It is conditional type of service. This will be not added to the cost of the PO at the time of creation of the PO, wheras it will be taken into account at the time of service entry only. The value of this service line is not included in the total value of the service specifications.
For Example If a Compressor is being maintained, the oil is changed only if it is found that it cannot be used further.
Standard services are normal services with a short text, a quantity, and a unit of measure such as service master
Similarly we have Blanket line, Information line, Open Quantity
Thanks & Regards

How to change line type on EAM Purchase Requisitions
When an EAM Work Order is released, we get Purchase Requisitions with the Line Type as the Purchasing Options default. This can be changed on the req but there is no option to select the req line type on the EAM Work Order page.
There's a Line Type field on the EAM Work Order page but it's different from the Requisition Line Type.
Just wondering what are our options to give users the ability to select req line type from EAM Work Order page. We know personalization is an option but we'd need to add a brand new field and even if we do, we are unsure that ReqImport will actually use this new field.
Workflow extensions could also be a solution and was hoping that someone out there would have some tips and tricks to share.
Regards,
SanjibI think the only way is to:
1) read the address data from Matrix 178 and keep the data in your Add-On
2) delete the original address (activate the menu item (ID = 1293) or send Ctrl-K via Application.SendKeys)
3) "click" on "Define new"
4) and enter the data you have read in 1) into the cells of Matrix 178 again...

AP: Invoice Imports/ Miscellaneous Invoice Line types
Hi All,
I had two issues while I was importing my invoices in AP through AP Invoices Open interface:
1. Freight Charges
2. Some Unit Royality Charges.
Both of these things are not included in my PO, so I needed to create additonal invoice distribution lines with in the same invoice and also had to assign a GL account while creating the invoices. The other Item type lines get the GL account code from PO while matching is done during AP Open Import process.
The Freight charges problem is resolved. The solution for that is as follows for your reference.
Functional Steps:
1. With Accounts Payables Manager responsibility , go to
Setup->Options->Payables.
2. Select Invoice from drop down list box.
3. In invoice region Ceck the Automatically Create Freight Distribution Option.
4. Supply default Freight Account for Freight Distributions.
Technical Steps:
1. Create an additional Invoice distributions line for freight in AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE table which should not have the PO level information.
2. Set AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE.Prorate_across_flag = 'Y'
3. AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE.line_type_lookup_code = 'FREIGHT'
4. Set AP_INVOICE_LINES_INTERFACE.LINE_GROUP_Number as same in both the ITEM and Freight Invoice distribtuion line which are interrelated.
The above resolves the Freight issue and you can reproduce it in your environment.
However, I have another amount from my supplier which is called "Royality Charge" on every item which are also not present in my PO. My supplier sends these charges with Invoice lines the same way Freight charges are sent. I am thinking of creating additional Invoice lines marked as "Miscellaneous" Invoice Lines type for this charge. The problem I am facing with Miscellaneous Lines is that I cannot find a place where I can setup the Account code for such Invoice distribution lines, like I got for Freight Type Distribution lines as described above in Functional steps. Can anyone guide me in this regard or can give me an alternative workaround to handle my Unit Royality Charges?
Thanks
Faisal .

nullApologies for the late response, have only just spotted the question.
You will need to register "line-item job-level chains of approval" under payables transaction type before you can select it from the picklist:
Setup\Action Types\"Use Existing Action Type" button, then select action type and continue.
Hope this helps (if you haven't already resolved yourself)

How to create a line type in data dictionary
How to create a line type in data dictionary?Please explain step by step?
Thanks & Regads,
SairamHi,
the details abbout the line type.
The line type of a table type can be defined by:
o Specification of a type that already exists (data element,
structure, table type, table, view) whose properties are then copie
as properties of the defined table line.
o Direct type input, where data type, number of positions, and, if
required, decimal places, are entered directly.
o Specification of a reference type.
and SE11 and click on datatype and click on table type and enter the line type.
Thanks

Hash tables in combination with data references to the line type.
I'm having an issue with hash tables - in combination with reference variables.
Consider the following: (Which is part of a class) - it attempts to see if a particular id exists in a table; if not add it; if yes change it.
types: BEGIN OF TY_MEASUREMENT,
perfid TYPE zgz_perf_metric_id,
rtime TYPE zgz_perf_runtime,
execount TYPE zgz_perf_execount,
last_start TYPE timestampl,
END OF TY_MEASUREMENT.
METHOD START.
DATA: ls_measurement TYPE REF TO ty_measurement.
READ TABLE gt_measurements WITH TABLE KEY perfid = i_perfid reference into ls_measurement.
if sy-subrc <> 0.
"Didn't find it.
create data ls_measurement.
ls_measurement->perfid = i_perfid.
insert ls_measurement->* into gt_measurements.
endif.
GET TIME STAMP FIELD ls_measurements-last_start.
ls_measurement->execount = ls_measurement->execount + 1.
ENDMETHOD.
I get compile errors on the insert statement - either "You cannot use explicit index operations on tables with types HASHED TABLE" or "ANY TABLE". It is possible that.
If I don't dereference the type then I get the error LS_MEASUREMENT cannot be converted to the line type of GT_MEASUREMENTS.
I'm not looking to solve this with a combination of references and work ares - want a reference solution.
Thanks!
_Ryan
Moderator message - Moved to the correct forum
Edited by: Rob Burbank on Apr 22, 2010 4:43 PMI think it might work when you change it for
insert ls_measurement->* into TABLE gt_measurements.
For hashed table a new line here will be inserted according to given table key.
