"Dynamic List Box with Single Selection" Survey Suite in CRM 6.0

Hi
I am using CRM 6.0. There in Survey Suite there are 2 answering options "Dynamic List Box with Single Selection" & "Dynamic List Box with Multiple Selection". I am able to make out, how we can assign values to this. I have seen example "Example_Dynamic_survey" also.
I believe we have to use programming for populating this. But how do we have to carry that out.

Hi Hitesh,
There is no need of programming for populating values for Answer category 'List Box with Single Selection' or 'List Box with Multiple Selection'. You have to follow the following steps to populate values for those:
- In the Answer Category select List Box with Single Selection from drop down list
- Then on left hand side tree, right click on Answer and select Insert Answer Option (Answer->Insert Answer Option)
- Then on right side, provide Text for the answer (value)
- To add more values, repeat the process Answer->Insert Answer Option and providing text for those answers in the right side.
Similarly you can populate values for 'List Box with Multiple Selection' also.
This has to be done in the transaction CRM_SURVEY_SUITE.

Hello Susana,
To maintain dynamic values for a specific answer, select your survey in the Survey Suite and go to the maintenance of survey attributes (CTRL+F12). Under the tab 'Technical settings', you can maintain the 'Callback to PBO' function module, which allows you to modify the survey at runtime. (The function module you specify here is called by the survey tool runtime environment at PBO.)
As an example, you can have a look at the function module 'CRM_SVY_EXAMPLE_DYNAMIC_PBO', which contains a section to set answer options at runtime. Of course, you would have to program your own logic to meet your specific requirements for setting the values.

Populating a Dynamic List Box in CRM Survey

Hi All,
I am currently creating a CRM Survey and am trying to use the 'Dynamic List Box with Single/Multiple Selection' options, but cannot see how i can populate these lists. I get the following error message when selecting the 'Insert Answer Option:
'Dynamic list boxes' cannot contain statistical answer options'
I have tried this through both Survey Suite and UI, but cannot go any further. Can anyone point me to where i can populate this list? Sounds like possible a backend table, but i cannot find which one.

Display selected items in dynamic list box

I need to display the selected items in a dynamic list box -
this worked great - but now client wants multiple selected. I do
have the items comma delimited in single field (but I can change
that if I need to) - so how do I make those items display as
selected in list. I'm using asp and standard dreamweaver list based
on a recordset.

There is a better approach. I faced a similar problem and put all the logic in a Javascript function. I modified my code to suit your needs.
My HTML will have the following.

Dynamic combo boxes::A combo box is dynamic if it references a document property for which a value set is defined in the configuration (System Administration ® System Configuration ® Content Management ® Global Services ® Property Metadata ® Properties ® Parameter Allowed Values).
At runtime (when you open the creation form) the system reads these values from the configuration and displays them in the dropdown list.
If you link a combo box for which list entries already exist to a document property with a value set, the system asks whether you want to delete the list entries. it is recommend that you accept this suggestion and delete the list entries from the XML Forms Builder. Otherwise inconsistencies could arise between the entries in the XML Forms Builder and the value set in the configuration. This can cause errors when saving.

Index of Values in the List Boxes on a Selection Screen

Hi,
I have a list box on the selection screen for Month field. It has the values Jan, Feb, Mar....etc in it.
These entries, I added thru the VRM_SET_VALUES.
Now, I want to default the month to current month SY-DATUM+4(2).
Is there any FM to which I can send this SY-DATUM+4(2) as an Index and the corresponding value gets set for the Month field.
As an alternatvie, I could use<b> Case Sy-DATUM+4(2). when '01'. p_month = 'Jan'. etc etc..</b> But I want to avoid this big case statement.
Please suggest.

Try to use the func <b>MONTH_NAMES_GET</b>.It will
return the month name along with the number.
And also you can directly select from table <b>T247</b>

List Boxes on a Selection Screen

Hi,
I have a list box on the selection screen. In the At Selection Screen Output, I filled the List box with 12 Values.
Now, I want to default the List box value with one of those values.
So, after the CALL FM 'VRM_SET_VALUES', I say p_field = 'Value'.
But this Value is being shown in the Drop down list twice.
I could not understand the mistake.
Please suggest.

   u must be giving NAME
2. give p_field = Key
3. ie. 1 for Jan
        2 for Feb etc
in the FM VRM_SET_VALUES
we are filling the parameter VALUES

How to populate a list box linked to selection in combo box?

I am a beginner in Xcelsius. I am having problem on how to populate a list box based on the selection on my combo box.
I have a combo box and a list box. The combo box value consist of Countries. Values are:
Singapore
Indonesia
Thailand
When I select, for i.e. Indonesia, I want to populate the list box with all the Postal Code of Indonesia. When I select Thailand, i want to do the same.
Can anyone shed some lights on how to achieve this?
My spreadsheet data is as follow

Hi,
I am detailing the complete steps below:
In the combobox select the entire range of Country while seeing the records from the Combobox, Xcelsius will automatically show the unique values in the selection.
After that in the "Data Insertion" section for Combobox select the "Insertion Type" as "Filtered Rows" (please click on the question mark beside this option and it will show how the selection works).
In the source select the postal code, in the destination select the range which will be used as a data source for the list box.
This will resolve the concern. Please remember to select the question mark beside the "Insertion Type" option, it explains the working in specific details.

How to add a list box with values for a ztable in SM30

Hello Gurus,
I had created a table maintenance for Ztable and added many extra functionality to that. Now i would like to add a list box or check table for a field. Can i do that with out Regenerating my table maintenance. Please help me its..very urgent.

Have referred this domain to the data element, this should be the Field type in ur table for the particular field.
Eg: <b>SE11 > table name > fields-ZTEST > fieldtype-ZZTEST</b>
ZZTEST in the data element > create a domain for this data element and in that specify teh value range.
Save and activate it.
Make sure that u regenerate teh table maintenance generator else u cant see the changes.
Now if u press F4 u can see only thevalues specified, also u will see only the list box with values in SM30.
Try this,please let me know if u face any difficulties.

Copy Function with Single selection of row

I want to copy necessary Planning items in my Input ready query from period 1 to remaining periods based on variable entries. To achieve this I have created a copy planning function to copy amount entered in period 1 (variable) to range of posting period variable entries (e.g. 2 -12 or 6-12).
I have created structure for GL accounts and I want to copy from period 1 to 2 - 12 for one row at a time.
I have created WAD template, I selected in behavior section of Analysis item, single with command option and assigned Planning sequence (consisting of copy function) as command.
On execution of WAD, I select single row in my input ready query and instead of one row getting copied over to the range of posting period, all rows consisting of Planning Items with amount are getting copied over, which I am not expecting with single selection option.
How can I have only one row getting copied over?
Am I am missing something?

Command: Execute a Planning Function -> In Data Binding -> Selection Binding -> Characteristic -> Planning Item -> Binding Type -> Item Characteristic -> Web Item Selection -> Item Binding -> Query (Analysis Item) -> Characteristic -> Planning item.
For Variable I have defined nothing.
Do you think my settings are correct?

List Box With Writing Facility

                        I want to create a list box in selection-screen with input facilty,
                        i.e i should be able write in that list box just in case of parameters , right now
                        i'm able to select values from drop down only .
                        in short it should just work like command field in screen , where we can write t-code

without logging onto system and creating a sample, I can tell you what online documentation says about [Using a Different Search Key|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/d3/2e974d35c511d1829f0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm]
READ TABLE itab WITH KEY k1 = f1 ... kn = fn result.
The search key consists of arbitrary table fields k1 ... kn. If you do not know the name of a component until runtime, you can specify it dynamically as the content of a field n1 ... nn using (n1) = f1 (n2) = f2 . If n1 ... nn is empty when the statement is executed, the search field is ignored.
That means that for the READ TABLE statement you should use a number of key specifications not less than the possible maximum and then dynamically fill the key variables and key values.
Do not forget to clear before you do the next read for another table.
Hope it works.
Also, this is SAP NetWeaver 7.0, I think dynamic key specification was not possible earlier.
