Dynamic page background color

How can I modify the background color of a dynamic page. All of my dynamic page backgrounds are currently a tan shade by default.

Jay,
The background color for a query table does indeed seem to be hard-coded. I've filed bug 1569601 on this.
As a workaround, you can use a report instead of a dynamic page. Or, you can explicity control the output of the query with your own formatting tags.

Jerry

Where can I change color of table background for dynamic page?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
sorry for posting html code. I have found the solution.
The dynamic page body is rendered by
PORTAL30.wwv_render_report.show() procedure. I can add aditional parameter "p_table_bgcolor" to procedure
    i.e. p_table_bgcolor => '#CCCCCC'
The default colors are definied in package definition PORTAL30.wwv_render_report.

    Hi,
I tried your advice and it doesn't help.
Now the source of generated page is as follows:
    [H2]Example of A Dynamic Page[H2]
    [TABLE border="0" bgcolor="#FFOOOO"]
    [TABLE border="0" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=2 style="background-color:#E0E0D0"]
    [TR]
    [TH ALIGN="LEFT" style="background-color:#C0C0A0" ] [TH]
Maybe there is any stylesheet in which I can chage bgcolor? Or maybe this stylesheet is generated somehow and I can change its parameters?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Pages background color

Is it possible to change the page background color in Pages?
I mean, in Word, Online Layout, you can set a different background color to your page, even if it is only on display and the page remains white when you print it.
I find it very helpful not to burn your eyes with a white background, when you spend 12 hour in a row in front of it... I would like to set a grey or beige background. Ugly, but eye-comfortable...

The only way I know of to change the background color in Pages is to insert a rectangular object, stretch it to cover the page, color it, then send it to the background. It will print unless you remove it before printing. You could make a template to have ready so you would not have to do it everytime.

  • Page background color blends

I'd like to have an overall color blend from a depth of about
200 pixels down from the page top, to the the bottom of my page.
What is the most efficient way of doing this from an solid 99CC33
at the top to no color or (white at the bottom)? The background
color should extend horizontally across the page as well, but the
page blend only from top to bottom???
    thanks
    hartney

Basically make your gradient image in whatever program (5px
width or so, whatever height), then use this code replacing the
background colour with whatever you want your 99CC33 to blend in
    to.
    body { background : #FFFFFF
    url(../images/background-image.jpg) repeat-x;}

  • Region/page background color

    Hello all,
Is it possible to change dinamically (depending on a value) the background color of a particular page or region?
I know how to do it for single columns on my updatable report region but not for the whole region.
    Regards

    1) You have to modify your region template. In the page view, click onto the region template in the "Shared Components" section.
    2) Replace #REGION_ID# by #REGION_STATIC_ID# see also the following thread
Re: New substitution string - #REGION_STATIC_ID#
    3) Go to your region and enter a unique value into the "Static ID" property. Eg. TESTIT
    4) Create a new region of type HTML with template = No Template Display Point=Before Footer or just after your region
    5) Add a condition to it to define when the coloring should be done
    6) Add the following javascript code into the source of the new region
    &lt;script type="text/javascript">
    $x("TESTIT").style.backgroundColor = "red";
&lt;/script>That should do what you are looking for.

  • Pages - Background Color in Full Screen Mode

I love Pages. I use it every day. It has amazing functionality. That said, one of the updates a while back has me scratching my head.
I have two questions about full screen mode:
    1. What happened to the all black background in full screen mode?
    2. Is there any way to get the all black (or really any color but the horrible grey) background back when in full screen mode?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    -Ay Gee

Pages v5 and minor releases was an entire new design, document architecture, and did not begin with Pages ’09 code. Therefore, your black background was never in v5, as well as the 100 or more missing features mentioned by Peter — and whose restoration is beyond incantation.
You can always poke Apple with a stick and request the return of the black background.

  • Pages background color customization for poster template?

HOw can I customize the color of the background on the template poster on pages for iPad? It is normally blue and I would like to change it.

    Hi Satyadev,
    You have 3 options:
Within the forms builder you can get a white background by setting the form to either "border" or "no border".  This is done by clicking anywhere on the form (where there is no other element) and modifying the "style" property
You can modify the portal theme so that the background colour is your choice.  However this will affect all forms in the portal, not just this one.
Or you can manually modify the form XSL stylesheet.  This involves typing the html code to apply your chosen colour.  However, this modification is lost if you re-generate the XML forms project, so this should be a last resort.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

  • Problem printing changed page background color

I have changed the page backgound colour in custom package and it shows the colour (green) on the monitor and in preview but the printer does not seem to recognise the colour - the background when printed is black.  I can trun off the colour and get a white background, but I would like a green background!!.
LR 3.5, Win7 and Epson SPR 1800.  Printer colour management off, correct profile used.
    Any help gratefully received.

The program creating the file is ReScan. I can print the file before I open with Acrobat. If I make any changes to the file, I am unable to print from Acrobat those pages which had changes made, even thou they show on the monitor fine. If I print to CutePDF Writer instead of directly to one of my three printers (I get the same result with all three different printers) then I can print the CutePDF Writer file.
The fonts I am editing are installed on my system. Not sure what I am doing wrong to cause the program not to print. Don't want to have to use CutePDF every time I need to print. The program should be able to print an edited and saved document.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • WAD: Change Background color of TAB pages

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to change the background color of the TAB pages in a  TAB strip container.
By default it displays in "white" color. How can I change this.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
Not sure if there's a way to change each tab page background color using css etc. But maybe as an alternative if you do not wish to see the tab page background as white and are ok with SAP color themes, you may use a Group webitem (i.e. embed the webitems already on each tab page in a separate Group webitem - if you have more than 1 webitem you would first need to use a Container webitem). For a Group webitem you can choose the background color from Internal Display -> Design property.

  • Browser Background Color Not Drawing Completely

On the web page I recently uploaded, the page does not draw the browser background color completely when it loads. The browser background color fills in to the bottom of the sized page, below there it is white.
    1. Modern Frame 2.0 - Blank
    2. Set Browser Background color to Blue
    3. Page background color either the same Blue or none at all. I've tested both ways.
    4. Manual resize always allows the browser background color to fill in properly.
    5. Footer on and off. Doesn't make a difference.
After uploading to the web, clearing all my caches, it continues to fill in incompletely.
What do you suggest I do to solve this?
    Thank you - Fabe

Give us the URL for the site so we can examine it first hand. With out looking at the site you should change the theme to White theme which does not use files for background and therefore will not restrict the amount of space the background takes up. That's just a guess though.

  • Background color change question - only selecting the footer

I use the darkroom theme and was curious about changing the page background color. Right now my settings use the darkroom theme 'right out of the box' which is 'image fill' on both the page and browser background. That is the textured look.
When I try to change the color, selecting 'color fill' instead of 'image fill', it only changes the footer - not the entire page background.
I'm guessing it's not possible to change a color using the 'image fill.' You get 'image fill' in black or gray as shown and that is it, except should you decide to use your own image, which I do not.
Any way to be able to have a change apply to the entire page and not just the footer?
    Suggestions welcome.

I tried to do the same just see what the problem was and failed. It is probably 'cos the top layer is independant of the page background or browser background. Even when I had page background none and altered the browser background it made no difference. If you want anything different try using a blank black or white theme and putting your own graphics on there. You can make quite nice backgrounds if you have a decent paint or photo program.

  • Page backgrounds with templates

I just upgraded to DW8, but I was having the same problem in
DWMX. I have a number of template based pages and now I would like
to make the page background color editable. I also have a css-based
menu from Project 7 which begins with an On Load command in the
<body> tag. In MX, when I tried to make the bg tag editable,
the menu went wonky and the page didn't displa right
Now I've trying with DW8. Page backgrounds are set as a style
and there isn't any bg command in the body. Can someone PLEASE help
me. I've fooled around with this for days, asked on several other
forums. I've looked through knowledge bases and there's lots about
changing the stuff in tables, etc., and modiying attributes, but
the tags are there to do. I can't get the bg tag in the body to
make it editable. When I try, it comes up as a style.

  • IWeb Help...page background not loading.

This may not be a specific iWeb issue, but I'm hoping that someone here has experience with this...
I just got a call telling me that a site I created is 'unreadable'. Based on further questioning, it seems like the the background color of the page (based on the template) isn't loading...so he's seeing white text on a white background (or not seeing, as the case may be).
Here's a link to the page:
    http://www.centersoundrecords.com/CenterSound_Records/JerryHarrison.html
And he's using IE as his browser.
    Thanks...

    Brian:
It is important that you don't leave this like this. If google sees white text on a white background you risk your site being blacklisted from their search results. ( this happened to me)
The page looks fine to me ( I'm using Safari on a mac). Find out what system and browser that person was using and then get others to view your site and report to you (It could be isolated to that person)
If you do find others seeing the same thing one work around you could try is to use no page background color in combination with a black browser background and then republish.
    Sincerely, David

  • Where are the page backgrounds?

I wish to change the look of a page background color in photoshop. Where are the backgrounds that are used by iWeb? I am trying to change: Freestyle/about me tan background.

Find the iWeb application icon in your Applications folder. Control-click on it and select "Show Package Contents". Then open up /Contents/Resources/English.lproj/Templates/About Me/. You'll see another package file called "Freestyle About Me.webtemplate". Control-click on it and select "Show Package Contents". You should see aliases to all the elements for that template there.
Just be careful with all this stuff. Keep backups of whatever files you alter, just in case. Make sure not to change any names or file formats, or else iWeb may not be able to find them.

  • Page background images

I am trying to use my own images as page backgrounds. I have resized the images in Photoshop to about 28Kb but when published to a folder iweb has converted them to a png as it does and the size is between 200 and 300Kb. Therefore the site is very slow to load. Is there a cure? Or do I abandon the idea. I am just playing around to see what is possible with iweb.

That seems to be a problem with iWeb and background images. It took a 28kb jpg image I used and converted it to a 400KB png image. I did notice one thing. If I applied the image to the browser's background and had none for the the pages background color the page would load extremely fast. It took a 44kb jpg and it converted it to a 115 png file and it loads very, very fast. But when I used the same jpg file for the page's background, full size or scaled, it become 367kb and loads more slowly. 'Tis a puzzlement.
