Dynamic rendering of WebDynpro Java View

Hi,
For the project work I have to render the WebDynpro Java View dynamically.
Here I need to get the UI Element. From there I need to get the
context with which UI Element like Input field, Dropdown are binded. I am able to get the UI Elements from the Root Element of View.
However I could not retrieve the context type which is binded to the input field. Could you please let me know if it is possile to
retrieve this information.
Thanks and Regards,

  • Dynamic table in Webdynpro Java

    Hi Colleagues,
    I need to develop a table dynamically in webdynpro(Java), the table should not contain scrollbar, header, lines and border...Actual requirement is to group 12 elements in the from of a table
    could anyone please help me here?

    Hi Armin,
    In a window i have to develop a part of window which looks like this
    Image             URL                      Description
    Image             URL                      Description
    Image             URL                      Description
    Image             URL                      Description
    I have tried doing this using Flow layout for each line
    But when i follwed that the last column "description" is not alligned in a straight line(for all rows)
    structure is not even as shown above
    (varying depending upon the length of the URL)
    Here i have attached the piece of code i  used
    IWDTransparentContainer MainContainer1 = (IWDTransparentContainer)view.createElement(IWDTransparentContainer.class);
           IWDFlowLayout flowlayout1 =  (IWDFlowLayout)MainContainer1.createLayout(IWDFlowLayout.class);
    ////For adding Image
           IWDImage image = (IWDImage)view.createElement(IWDImage.class);
           image.createLayoutData(IWDFlowData.class);
           image.setSource("~sapicons/s_b_alet.gif");
    /////for Adding URL
           IWDLinkToAction link1 = (IWDLinkToAction)view.createElement(IWDLinkToAction.class);
           IWDTextAccessor link1text = wdComponentAPI.getTextAccessor();
           link1.setText("Collaboration Window");
           IWDAction Action1  = (IWDAction)view.getAction("Openlink");
           link1.setOnAction(Action1);
           IWDFlowData linkdata1 = link1.createLayoutData(IWDFlowData.class);
           WDLayoutCellDesign rightpad = WDLayoutCellDesign.R_PAD;
           WDLayoutCellSeparator seperator = WDLayoutCellSeparator.LARGE;
           linkdata1.setCellDesign(rightpad);
           linkdata1.setVGutter(seperator);
    ///for adding description
           IWDTextView text1 = (IWDTextView)view.createElement(IWDTextView.class);
           text1.setText("Testing");
           IWDFlowData textdata1 = text1.createLayoutData(IWDFlowData.class);
           textdata1.setCellDesign(rightpad);
           textdata1.setVGutter(seperator);
           MainContainer1.addChild(image);
           MainContainer1.addChild(link1);
           MainContainer1.addChild(text1);
           IWDGridData maincont1 = MainContainer1.createLayoutData(IWDGridData.class);
           maincont1.setPaddingLeft("10px");
           maincont1.setPaddingTop("20px");
    I found that this static way of adding rows is not the right way( Keeping in mind the future enhancements)
    So thought of trying it through table
    i have used IWDtable ...but the look does'nt meets the requirement at all(it has header....border..scrollbar..rows and colums are seperated by lines---> which are not needed)
    Could you please let me know is there a approach to do this?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Incomplete load of a webdynpro Java view

    Hi All,
    I have a page containing a Webdynpro Java iview and an abap iview.
    When I navigate to this page, then my first iview does not load completely.
    In this first iview, there is a view containing a breadcrumb, a transparent container and a phase indicator at design time.
    At runtime, I add steps to the breadcrumb, input fields to the transparent container and phases to the phase indicator (I have to do this at runtime as these are decided dynamically based on data returned from an RFC).
    The problem is that when this iview is loaded along with the second abap iview, then it is incomplete. Steps are displayed in the breadcrumb, input elements are displayed in the Transparent container, but phases are not displayed in the phase indicator.
    Also the event handlers for the steps in the Breadcrumb are not called when I click on a particular step. In fact wdDoModifyView is not called at all when I click anywhere.
    All this works completely fine if I remove the abap iview from the page or replace the abap iview with a Java iview.
    But the strange thing is that if I create a page with any other Java iview and the same abap iview, then everything works fine. So there seems to be no problem with the abap iview also.
    I hope someone can help me with this.
    Thanks in advance !
    Regards,
    Sadaf.

    Hi Sadaf,
    make sure all links on that page are using the same protocol i.e.  all http or https. if there is a difference in protocol with any app the web dynpro does not load correctly.

    Raj

  • Converting Webdynpro java view to PDF

    Hello Expert,
    Any idea if there is any simplest way available to export view format(data ,layout) in PDF without writing much code or using opensource apis or ADS.
    Any suggestions will be useful.

    Things like that are normally done with the "Interactive Form" UI Element with which you can use the integrated Adobe Forms environment. For more information have a look at the Integrate Online Interactive Forms by Adobe

  • Could anyone provide sample of WebDynpro Java TableFilter for Dynamic Table

    Hi
    I have a dynamic table I have given a context node as a data source and it executes a Web Service and populates itself based on the resultset of query this node contains no of columns and rows
    The table changes dynamically everytime the user selects different table type
    When I created a TableFilter I used IWDTableColumn from the current view and looped though the context elements and binded the values of attributes of each context element to this column inside a loop. TableSort works, But I  am not able to get the Filter working for the Dynamic Table , when I click on Filter Button the Filter does not filterand  just sorts.
    Not sure what is wrong but if someone can give some inputs,leads I will highly appreciate if some one has  a  sample of WebDynpro Java TableFilter for Dynamic Table
    Thanks in advance,
    Ragu.

    Hi Ragu,
    Please check the link for table filtering.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/GenericTableFilter+Code
    since your dynamic table uses webservice I assume it has fixed context attributes, just put the filter into wdDoModify method everytime you execute/trigger the webservice.

    Hi Kumar,
    If you are using EP7.0, there is no calendar UI element in webdynpro development. There is only date navigator UI element. This is demonstrated in the below article.

    Hi Suresh,
    Thanks for your valuable inputs. I went and looked into the java file and found bit different.I dont see how they are getting the column headers like Saturday,Sunday,Monday...
    Basically I need to keep one 'Submit' button on top of my table and on click, it should populate 8 hrs in the correspounding column.For eg. if its monday, it should default 8 hrs in monday column so  that user dont have to manually type it in and also save these working hrs in the backend system without further click on 'Save' or 'Review'.
    I still need to check with the ABAPers regading the user exit.
    Also, Is it possible if I create a custom webdynpro application where I can use a BAPI that takes in the current day from my webdynpro and update the cats database and send an export parameter with success or error message.
    Thanks

    Hi Abhijeet,
    try this.
    Assuming Value node Customer with attribute cname, cno and sal is bound to the table.
    //creating Dynamic node inside wdDoInit method for copy the table row details.
    IWDNodeInfo nodeInfo = wdContext.getNodeInfo().addChild("DynamicCustNode", null,true, false, false, false, false,

    IWDNode node = wdContext.wdGetAPI().getRootNode().getChildNode("DynamicCustNode", IWDNode.LEAD_SELECTION);
    node.addElement(node.createElement());
    Inside View take a Button Say Copy,inside the action of the button store the selected table row data in the created dynamic node and copy
    the dynamic node details in to your Value node that is bound to the table.
    int leadSelected = wdContext.nodeCustomer().getLeadSelection();
    int n = wdContext.nodeCustomer().size();
    IWDNode node = wdContext.wdGetAPI().getRootNode().getChildNode("DynamicCustNode", IWDNode.LEAD_SELECTION);

    Hi Amit,
    Create provider system in NWA -> SOA management -> System Connections. After ping is successful go to NWA -> Application Communication and select your DC and assign the provide system for your service configuration group.
    I hope it will works fine as we also did the same.

    Hi Vijayalaxmi,
    Following are the steps for transporting the content from DEV to QA
    1. Check in the activity into DTR and activate it. Once it is activated successfully it will show green
    2. Now go to transport view and release the activity by drilling down in waiting... node.
    3. Once the activity is released it becomes available in the Consolidation tab of CMS.
    4. Import the activity in consolidation tab
    5. Assemble the components in the Assembly tab.
    Once you assemble an .SCA file is created in \usr\<SID>\trans\CMS
    6. Copy this file manually and deploy it using SDM in QA.
    Hope it clears your doubts
    Best Regards,
    Ravi

  • Consuming PI Webservice from Webdynpro Java Not working

    Hello SAP,
    Environment: CE 7.2.
    Resolution expected immediately, Helpful answer is highly appreciated.
    Is the namespace should not exceed 60char for PI Webservice, for executing the webservice from Webdynpro Java.
    I tried with all the options in executing the PI Service from Webdynpro Java, None of the options worked. I am facing the below error while I was calling the PI Webservice.
    I don't see any problem from Webdynpro Java, what ever the procedure I have followed is the standard procedure.
    Fortunately when I execute the service from Webservice Navigator, it is working as expected. The same webservice when I consume it from Webdynpro Java it is not working
    Options tried so far:
    1) Published the Services to Service Registry and there by consuming the PI Service from Service Registry - Not worked
    2) Tweaked the URL with few options - Not worked (Tweaking the URL, ex: portType, Binding)
    3) Changing the Business Systems in PI and there after calling the service - Not worked
    4) Initializing the code, instead of creating Service Controller and calling the PI Service - Not worked.
    5) Created a Provider System and tried to call the PI Webservice from Provider System - Not Worked
    For all the Options, I am facing the same error which is provided in the screenshot.
    Below procedure which I have followed for calling the PI Webservice:
    1) Created Adaptive Webservice Model
    2) Provided PI Webservice URL (It prompts for PI System UserId and Password)
    3) Selected Option - No Service Group Configuration
    4) Provided Logical Destination
    6) Completed creation of Model
    7) Added the model as a UsedModel
    8) Right Click on Comp Contr. and selected Apply Template and Created a ServiceController for the model (Entire mapping to comp contr, Initializing the nodes is taken care by Service Contr.)
    9) Created an Template Action button and there by calling execute method which is auto rendered from CompContr..
    10) Build the project.
    11) Activated the code and Run the Application.
    12) Getting the below error which is showed in the message.
    ERROR MESSAGE:
    Exception on execution of web service on destination 'GetPIHRPeopleData' for operation 'SI_CreateHRPeopleData_OS' in interface 'SI_CreatePeopleCompany_OS'

    Hi Sankar,
    If the webservice is working fine in the Wsnavigator then there is some problem with importing the webservice in webdynpro for Java. Please check the required parameter for creating the Adaptive Webservice Model. After adding in the used model and compoent controller binding, you need to write code for to execute the webservice model.
    Please check the code for initialization and execution for the webservice and then test it.
    Best Regards,
    Arun Jaiswal
