Dynamically adding nodes without a TreeModel
Hi,
I am adding nodes dynamically after the tree is visible. It's adding
the first child node I create and it is showing it. When I add a second
node, it doesn't show the that. And when I debug the code I found that
the node was added to the tree but it is not visible. I tried by
expanding and collapsing the tree manually, but it didn't work.
I am not using any TreeModel as such. So, how do I make the change
visible??? I am even calling the repaint() method of JTree, what could
be the problem and is it better if I create my own TreeModel class and
use it???
Thank you,
Srikanth...
you can post the code for start.
try to get the model and fire
fireTreeStructureChanged(that will collapse all)
or try to fire fireTreeNodesInserted
for my point of view
implamenting the TreeModel is always better and simple

Hello,
I having problems with creating a dynamic context node.
How can i add a new node to the context on runtime and not on design time.
Best Regards,
Smadar.Hi,
IWDNodeInfo nodeinfo=wdContext.getNodeInfo();
/* This will add a ValueNode */
IWDNodeInfo customerNode=nodeinfo.addChild("Customer",null,true,true,true,false,false,true,null,null,null);
/* This will add a Attribute to the above Node */
IWDAttributeInfo custAttr=customerNode.addAttribute("AttribName","com.sap.dictionary.string");

How to start / stop nodes without domain-controller / automatically on Win?
Hi,
we have a distributed installation of CMSDK 9.0.4.
We have installed a 9.2.0.4 Database on Solaris and we are using the 10g(9.0.4) Infrastructure on Solaris with it.
The first installation of CMSDK uses a J2EE-MidTier installation on the Solaris server and contains the CMSDK domain controller and a normal node with nfs protocol server running.
The other installations are done on Win2003 Blades. Currently we are using two Blades. On each there is a J2EE-MidTier installation and within these we have installed CMSDK with HTTP-Node and normal node. We are using NTFS-Server within the normal nodes.
The Blades are within one Domain and we have NLB-Cluster activated for both.
The whole thing sounds complex, but it works fine. We only have some trouble regarding start/stop of the nodes:
1. If the solaris backend fails, our cluster-configuration tries to stop and start cmsdk. While stopping cmsdk, all nodes - even those on the Win-Servers - are stopped. But starting does not bring em up again automatically.
2. If a Windows Server is booted, the normal node does not start automatically.
3. If one Windows Server is not available, the ifsctl check takes a very long time because it's trying to get information from the missing one.
Is there a way to restart the domain controller and node on solaris without stopping the nodes on Windows?
How can we start the windows nodes automatically after reboot?
Is there a way to probably start the nodes without being managed / guarded by the domain controller?
Thanks for help,
AlexTry adding this script to your /etc/init.d directory:
#!/bin/sh
ifsctl start << EOF
<ifsctl password>
EOF
Replace <ifsctl password> with the password that you would give at the prompt.
It will complain about Inappropriate ioctl for device, but it works. -
Adding node back into cluster after removal...
Hi,
I removed a cluster node using "scconf -r -h <node>" (carried out all the other usual removal steps before getting this command to work).
Because this is a pair+1 cluster and the node i was trying to remove was physically attached to the quroum device (scsi), I had to create a dummy node before the removal command above would work.
I reinstalled solaris, SC3.1u4 framwork, patches etc. and then tried to run scsinstall again on the node (reintroduced the node to the cluster again first using scconf -a -T node=<node>).
However! during the scsinstall i got the following problem:
Updating file ("ntp.conf.cluster") on node n20-2-sup ... done
Updating file ("hosts") on node n20-2-sup ... done
Updating file ("ntp.conf.cluster") on node n20-3-sup ... done
Updating file ("hosts") on node n20-3-sup ... done
scrconf: RPC: Unknown host
scinstall: Failed communications with "bogusnode"
scinstall: scinstall did NOT complete successfully!
Press Enter to continue:
Was not sure what to do at this point, but since the other clusternodes could now see my 'new' node again, i removed the dummy node, rebooted the new node and said a little prayer...
Now, my node will not boot as part of the cluster:

Any ideas how i can recover this situation without having to reinstall the node again?
(have a flash with OS, sc3.1u4 framework etc... so not the end of the world but...)
Thanks a mil if you can help here!
- headwreckedHi - got sorted with this problem...
basically just removed (scinstall -r) the sc3.1u4 software from the node which was not booting, and then re-installed the software (this time the dummy node had been removed so it did not try to contact this node and the scinstall completed without any errors)
I think the only problem with the procedure i used to remove and readd the node was that i forgot to remove the dummy node before re-adding the actaul cluster node again...
If anyone can confirm this to be the case then great - if not... well its working now so this thread can be closed.

How to get Value of tree node without Reload Page
hi,
i worked with apex 4.2 and i created Tree and tabular form to retrieve the date according the value of tree select node the code of tree something like this
select case when connect_by_isleaf = 1 then 0
when level = 1 then 1
else -1
end as status,
level,
"ENAME" as title,
null as icon,
"EMPNO" as value,
null as tooltip,
'f?p=36648:34:5234984107903::::P40_SELECTED_NODE:'||empno as link
from "DEPT"."EMP"
start with "MGR" is null
connect by prior "EMPNO" = "MGR"
order siblings by "ENAME
and i put Selected Node Page Item: P40_SELECTED_NODE . the tree worked good and retrieve the data into tabular form according to tree node value
my Question :
1- i want to retrieve the data without submit the page where each time i select value from tree make page reload to update the tabular form with new value ,there is any way to pass the value of tree node to P40_SELECTED_NODE item and refresh tabular form without page reload .
2- i want when selected from tree run page process according to value of tree node i tray to create Dynamic action with *(jquery selector : div.tree li>a)* but the Value of node incorrect.

Ahmed;look at this link
Re: How to get Value of tree node without Reload Page ..! -
Although i checked the forums related with the adding nodes dynamically i couldnt manadeg to work this code in the right way: http://papernapkin.org/pastebin/view/8761
It should show the nodes under a chosen path with the files correctly but it only shows the files and dirs under root. What is missing?
Second i want to change the size of JTree and pathArea but when i use pathArea.setSize, id doesnt show any effect on the screen? What should i do.
DirectoryOps.java is here: http://papernapkin.org/pastebin/view/8763Never mind - found the answer to both of my problems. For anyone else who's wondering, I had to create a Runnable object which repaints my JTree. After adding or changing any nodes, I call SwingUtilities.invokeLater() on it and my tree repaints perfectly.
As far as I can tell, this wasn't required in the dynamic tree tutorial because the adding and editing of nodes in the tutorial happened in the button's event handling methods (so everything's taking place in the event-handling thread already). -
Dynamically adding more attributes to cube dimension in SSAS 2008 R2
I need to dynamically add more attributes to cube dimension in SSAS 2008 R2 because the dimension table the cube is based on is updated using dynamic pivoting and there is need to update the cube dimension attributes as more columns are added to the dimension
table without making the changes through BIDS. Is there a way to dynamically adding more attributes to cube dimension in SSAS 2008 R2?
Thanks
BI DeveloperDefinitely. You can use AMO to add dimension attributes on the server. I have definitely done this a few times for different clients of mine. Here is a generic AMO sample:

Hi all,
Firstly I was using the single CUCM7.0 server with the single UCCX 7.0 server. Now I am going to add the second CUCM and UCCX in the cluster. I was first configured the UCCX server as a single node. Now I have to configure this as a first node. How I could configure this from single node to the first node without affecting it's configurations..??????
Regards
Ali RazaHi Aaron,
How could we do the change on Imhost file. How we add the both servers in that file?
Below is the Imhost file txt.
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
# This is a sample LMHOSTS file used by the Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to computernames
# (NetBIOS) names. Each entry should be kept on an individual line.
# The IP address should be placed in the first column followed by the
# corresponding computername. The address and the computername
# should be separated by at least one space or tab. The "#" character
# is generally used to denote the start of a comment (see the exceptions
# below).
# This file is compatible with Microsoft LAN Manager 2.x TCP/IP lmhosts
# files and offers the following extensions:
# #PRE
# #DOM:
# #INCLUDE
# #BEGIN_ALTERNATE
# #END_ALTERNATE
# \0xnn (non-printing character support)
# Following any entry in the file with the characters "#PRE" will cause
# the entry to be preloaded into the name cache. By default, entries are
# not preloaded, but are parsed only after dynamic name resolution fails.
# Following an entry with the "#DOM:" tag will associate the
# entry with the domain specified by . This affects how the
# browser and logon services behave in TCP/IP environments. To preload
# the host name associated with #DOM entry, it is necessary to also add a
# #PRE to the line. The is always preloaded although it will not
# be shown when the name cache is viewed.
# Specifying "#INCLUDE " will force the RFC NetBIOS (NBT)
# software to seek the specified and parse it as if it were
# local. is generally a UNC-based name, allowing a
# centralized lmhosts file to be maintained on a server.
# It is ALWAYS necessary to provide a mapping for the IP address of the
# server prior to the #INCLUDE. This mapping must use the #PRE directive.
# In addtion the share "public" in the example below must be in the
# LanManServer list of "NullSessionShares" in order for client machines to
# be able to read the lmhosts file successfully. This key is under
# \machine\system\currentcontrolset\services\lanmanserver\parameters\nullsessionshares
# in the registry. Simply add "public" to the list found there.
# The #BEGIN_ and #END_ALTERNATE keywords allow multiple #INCLUDE
# statements to be grouped together. Any single successful include
# will cause the group to succeed.
# Finally, non-printing characters can be embedded in mappings by
# first surrounding the NetBIOS name in quotations, then using the
# \0xnn notation to specify a hex value for a non-printing character.
# The following example illustrates all of these extensions:
# 102.54.94.97 rhino #PRE #DOM:networking #net group's DC
# 102.54.94.102 "appname \0x14" #special app server
# 102.54.94.123 popular #PRE #source server
# 102.54.94.117 localsrv #PRE #needed for the include
# #BEGIN_ALTERNATE
# #INCLUDE \\localsrv\public\lmhosts
# #INCLUDE \\rhino\public\lmhosts
# #END_ALTERNATE
# In the above example, the "appname" server contains a special
# character in its name, the "popular" and "localsrv" server names are
# preloaded, and the "rhino" server name is specified so it can be used
# to later #INCLUDE a centrally maintained lmhosts file if the "localsrv"
# system is unavailable.
# Note that the whole file is parsed including comments on each lookup,
# so keeping the number of comments to a minimum will improve performance.
# Therefore it is not advisable to simply add lmhosts file entries onto the
# end of this file.

I'm facing the issue with tab order.
How to achieve the tab order for dynamically added sections?
Could you Plaese suggest me in this.
Thanks,
Susila SHi,
Thanks for your reply.
Ya. I'm adding rows in a table dynamically which is grouped in a subform which is flowable and the buttons are placed in the same subform. At the end of the row I'm having the hidden fields.
So what I want is without focusing the tab on hidden field I want to traverse the first field of the next dynamic row. For that I have used the access property as protected on hidden field, but its not working properly.
Please help me on this ASAP. -
MATLAB Node without a MATLAB Licence?
Hey,
I've seen that LabVIEW demand the installation of MATLAB when executing a MATLAB Node. We have only one licence of MATLAB that's not installed on the LabVIEW PC. Is there a MATLAB runtime engine available to execute MATLAB Nodes without the completely installation of MATLAB (e.g. like LabVIEW runtime engine)?
Thank you for all reply

www.digades.comHello,
You need to have a licensed copy of The MathWorks, Inc. MATLAB® software version 6.5 or later installed in order to use the MATLAB script node. Unfortunately, I do not know of anything like a MATLAB runtime engine. However, introduced in LabVIEW 8.0, the MathScript node may be able to natively execute your particular scripts. It uses a syntax that is generally compatible with the MATLAB software. LabVIEW 8.2 added support for the MathScript node in the application builder so you can deploy your applications to PCs that don't have a version of LabVIEW installed.

Why data are not getting poulated in dynamically added tab in a tab navigator???
Hi All,
I am facing a very strange problem and need you expert opinion on this. Ok so the problem goes like this:
In my application i have a tab navigator where i have 2 fixed tabs say tab A and tab B. In tab B I have a data grid where All the user name are getting populated. Once the user clicks on any datagrid row i am dynamically adding a new tab based on username , so if in my datagrid u1,u2 and u3 are getting displayed then once you clik on u1 a new tab called u1 is getting displayed. Code for this goes like this:
var vbox1: VBox= new VBox();
box1.label=mydatagrid.selectedItem.uName;
var sde:* = new searchDetails();
vbox1.addChild(sde);
myTabnavigator.addChild(vBox1);
Application.application.searchdetails.displayall();
I have created a component called searchDetails where i have designed the page wit various fields for this tab.This also has a method called displayall() which is populating the data in all fields using php an my sql where i have designed the page wit various fields for this tab.
New tab is getting displayed perfectly. My problem is once the tab is getting displayed fields are not getting populated with data.
Please let me know what wrong i am doing. I am really strugglingHmm.. you have to assign text to the labelfields on creation complete not before that, the fllow will be like this
var vbox1: VBox= new VBox();
var sde:* = new searchDetails();
vbox1.addEventListener(creationcompleteevent,function);
vbox1.addChild(sde);
myTabnavigator.addChild(vBox1);
function(e:event):void{
box1.label = "text"; -
Reading the Data from dynamically added rows of a table...
Hi,
I am using adobe interactive form (WD ABAP) in which i am adding the table rows dynamically (using Jscript code). I have to fech these data into an internal table. But I can read only the first row data..
Also While adding rows dynamically the same data is repeating for the consecutive rows..
I have found many similar posts in sdn, but i cannot get the solution. They have mentioned about adding in WDDOINIT method. Can anyone explain me what should be done,..?
1) How to solve repeatative data while adding rows..?
2) How to read dynamically added row data during runtime into internal table..?
Thanks,

Hi
I am getting the following error while creating a dynamic context node with 2 attributes. Please help me resolve this problem.

My code is like the following:
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_type,
CARRID TYPE sflight-carrid,
CONNID TYPE sflight-connid,
END OF t_type.
Data: i_struc type table of t_type,
dyn_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
rootnode_info type ref to if_wd_context_node_info,
i_node_att type wdr_context_attr_info_map,
wa_node_att type line of wdr_context_attr_info_map.

insert wa_node_att into table i_node_att.
wa_node_att-name = 'CONNID'.
wa_node_att-TYPE_NAME = 'SFLIGHT-CONNID'.
insert wa_node_att into table i_node_att.
clear i_struc. refresh i_struc.
select carrid connid into corresponding fields of table i_struc from sflight where carrid = 'AA'.
rootnode_info = wd_context->get_node_info( ).
rootnode_info->add_new_child_node( name = 'DYNFLIGHT'
attributes = i_node_att
is_multiple = abap_true ).
dyn_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'DYNFLIGHT' ).
dyn_node->bind_table( i_struc ).
l_ref_interfacecontroller->set_data( dyn_node ).
I am trying to create a new node. That is
CONTEXT
- DYNFLIGHT
CARRID
CONNID
As you see above I am trying to create 'DYNFLIGHT' along with the 2 attributes which are inside this node. The structure of the node that is, no.of attributes may vary based on some condition. Thats why I am trying to create a node dynamically.
Also I cannot define the structure in the ABAP dictionary because it changes based on conditionOk, I think I found a bug... It seems for adobe forms in WD4A, the root context node must be 1-1 and you must nest the 1-n node within that... Not sure why, but it worked. So in my case my context would look like this:
FOO_NODE (1-1)
Widget (1-N)
-Widget_info (1-1)
*Name
*Sku
*Description
-Widget_plant (1-M)
*Plant_Code
*Plant_State
*Plant_City
-Widget_pic (1-1)

Dynamic adding of components (doesn't work when programmatically)
Hi, I don't understand, why this doesn't work. I'll explain it on this example:
import java.util.concurrent.ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor;
import java.util.concurrent.TimeUnit;
import javafx.application.Application;
import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
import javafx.event.EventHandler;
import javafx.scene.Group;
import javafx.scene.Scene;
import javafx.scene.control.Button;
import javafx.scene.paint.Color;
import javafx.stage.Stage;
public class NewFXMain extends Application {
Group root;
public static void main(String[] args) {
Application.launch(NewFXMain.class, args);
@Override
public void start(Stage primaryStage) {
primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World");
root = new Group();
Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250, Color.LIGHTGREEN);
Button btn = new Button();
btn.setLayoutX(100);
btn.setLayoutY(80);
btn.setText("Add button now");
btn.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
addButton();
root.getChildren().add(btn);
primaryStage.setScene(scene);
primaryStage.setVisible(true);
System.err.println("Number of buttons before: "+root.getChildren().size());
ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor executor = new ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor(1);
executor.schedule(new MyTask(), 5, TimeUnit.SECONDS);
private void addButton() {
System.err.println("Button adding");
root.getChildren().add(new Button("YEAH"));
System.err.println("Number of buttons after: "+root.getChildren().size());
class MyTask implements Runnable {
public void run() {
addButton();
}There are two ways how a new button can be added. Either by clicking on existing button or programmatically by the program itself after 5 seconds.
If you add it by button, there is no problem. The error print is:
Number of buttons before: 1
Button adding
Number of buttons after: 2
But if you just wait, then the error print is:
Number of buttons before: 1
Button adding
and no button is added. In fact, the error printing after the adding isn't performed either.
I'd like to ask if there is some solution for this because I'd love to do some changes by schedulers. Thx

Edited by: 876949 on 14.8.2011 9:11No, these are not error messages, they are just for purpose of example. Here it doesn't matter whether err or out... (yes, 'out' would be better ;)
But thanx, it's working. By the way, I am creating scheduler for task lists. They are supposed to be printed dynamically in specific time (or periodically). For example: at 5 o'clock I need to print 5 items of some list and every 3 hours I need to print 3 items of another list etc. - so it's quite dynamic with regard to component adding (No, I don't want to use some sort of ListView, I want interactive printing: one item on screen at a moment). I'll try to work your solution into my code.
Edit: So either it's not possible to use this for the purpose of my app or it will be really cumbersome. Maybe it would be easier to draw some rectangles with mouse listeners...
Edit: So I finally got around it. In the end, I won't use dynamic adding as intended. It's working and that's important.

How can I view the newly added node in a JTree
Hi! I have a problem with my project. I set up a JTree. At first it has a node that contains FARInfo object. When I click this node, the other program in the package will pop up a form to let user input and submit, then it will add a new node into the other node. The new node will contain FilledInfo object. But I cannot view this newly added node. The source code related with the 2 different object is as following:
tree.addTreeSelectionListener( new TreeSelectionListener()
public void valueChanged(TreeSelectionEvent e4)
DefaultMutableTreeNode node = ( DefaultMutableTreeNode )
(tree.getLastSelectedPathComponent ());
Object nodeInfo = node.getUserObject();
if (node.isLeaf())
if ( nodeInfo instanceof FARInfo )
FARInfo category = (FARInfo) nodeInfo;
displayURL ( category.categoryURL );
displayForm ( category.farFormName );
if ( DEBUG )
System.out.print ( category.categoryURL + ":\n" );
else if ( nodeInfo instanceof FilledInfo )
FilledInfo category2 = ( FilledInfo ) nodeInfo;
displayFilledForm ( category2.num );
}else
return;
My question is: how to deal with the nodes containing 2 different objects: FARInfo and FilledInfo? FilledInfo is created by the other program in the package. Thanks for your help!I used insertNodeInto() to inser a new node into the tree, and it can be displayed. But when I used addTreeSelectionListener() to click on the newly added node, it cann not reaspond the click. Following is my original addTreeSelectionListener(). You see, if you click a node of FARInfo, then it will open a form, and after user filled in and submit it, a new node will be added into the Jtree. If you click a node of FilledInfo, then the user should view the content of this new node. But now, it seems that the sencond click cannot work. Thanks for your help.
tree.addTreeSelectionListener( new TreeSelectionListener()
public void valueChanged(TreeSelectionEvent e4)
DefaultMutableTreeNode node = ( DefaultMutableTreeNode )
(tree.getLastSelectedPathComponent ());
Object nodeInfo = node.getUserObject();
if (node.isLeaf())
if ( nodeInfo instanceof FARInfo )
FARInfo category = (FARInfo) nodeInfo;
displayURL ( category.categoryURL );
displayForm ( category.farFormName );
if ( DEBUG )
System.out.print ( category.categoryURL + ":\n" );
else if ( nodeInfo instanceof FilledInfo )
FilledInfo category2 = ( FilledInfo ) nodeInfo;
displayFilledForm ( category2.num );
}else
return;
