Dynamically changing image of personalized item

Hi,
I personalized a StackLayout region in a seeded page and added an image item in it. But I want to programatically change the image.
In the PFR of the controller, I am trying to do the following:
OAImageBean img = (OAImageBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("BarCodeImage");
System.out.println(" Image "+img.getSource());
But I get a NPE error:

Is it not the correct way of getting a handle of the image bean?
The Personalization structure is :
Page Layout > Flow Layout: Confirmation Page >
Stack Layout: (OIEConfirmPage.ConfirmationPgStackLayout)
BarCodeImage (image item).

Hi,
I extended the page level controller in my custom controller, and substituted the page level controller with my custom controller.
But i see that the same event is called twice, the first time I get a handle of all the beans I need, but not the second time.
For example, the controller code is:
public class xxfnPPCO extends oracle.apps.ap.oie.entry.summary.webui.ConfirmationPageCO
public static final String RCS_ID="$Header$";
public static final boolean RCS_ID_RECORDED =
VersionInfo.recordClassVersion(RCS_ID, "%packagename%");
* Layout and page setup logic for a region.
* @param pageContext the current OA page context
* @param webBean the web bean corresponding to the region
public void processRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
super.processRequest(pageContext, webBean);
System.out.println("xxfnPPCO -> In PR");
* Procedure to handle form submissions for form elements in
* a region.
* @param pageContext the current OA page context
* @param webBean the web bean corresponding to the region
public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
System.out.println("xxfnPPCO -> In PFR");
if (pageContext.getParameter("xxfnPrintablePageButton") != null)
System.out.println("xxfnPrintablePageButton is NOT NULL");
OAApplicationModule am = (OAApplicationModule)pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
System.out.println(" AM -> "+am);
System.out.println(" RepoerHeaderId "+
pageContext.getDecryptedParameter("ReportHeaderId") );
OAFlowLayoutBean flw = (OAFlowLayoutBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("OIEConfirmPage");
System.out.println(" Flw Lay "+flw);
OAStackLayoutBean stk = (OAStackLayoutBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("ConfirmationPgStackLayout");
System.out.println(" Stck Lay "+stk);
OAImageBean img = (OAImageBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("Image1");
if (img != null)
System.out.println(" Bean Found "+img+" Source = "+img.getSource());
else
System.out.println(" Bean NOT Found");
//System.out.println(" Image "+img);
else
System.out.println("xxfnPrintablePageButton is NULL");
The log messages are:
xxfnPPCO -> In PFR
xxfnPrintablePageButton is NOT NULL

Not sure why the PFR is firing for the second time.
Any Idea how to debug this?

  • Displaying dynamically changing image: a problem with JLabel.

    Hello! I use NetBeans 5.5 and I develop my GUI with Matisse. I'm rather a beginner in developing GUIs with this editor...
    I'd like to display a dynamically changing image. The idea is: GUI shows the image, that is modified as some computations run in a different thread. App will be run on a single machine.
    I'm trying to display the image as a label's icon. The problem is that my app's frame can be resized - and when it is, the label also resizes. When the label is resized, the image should also be resized - the image should always be of the same size as the label. The problem? I noticed, that it works only when I make my app's bigger. When I try to lower its dimensions, the label's dimensions remain the same. Why the label don't make its size smaller?
    My code works as follows: when app's main frame is resize, the panel (the one, that the label is placed in) is also resized. And, since the label is in the panel, it (should) also be resized. So I wrote all the resize-events handlers (therefore I know that the resize event is sent when my app's frame is resized, and when the panel is resized - but the label is resized only when it grows bigger). In this methods I modify the image displayed in the label (I resize the image).
    Or, perhaps, there is some other way to show a (dynamically changing) image with Swing... I chose JLabel, because I didn't want to write my own JComponent. JLabel can display image and that is all I need. The problem is: when the label grows bigger, I create a new, bigger image (icon). Why my label don't get smaller (the resize event isn't even sent)?

    There is no component that dynamically resizes an image. You need to create your own. Something like this:
    JComponent component = new JComponent()
         protected void paintComponent(Graphics g)
              //  Scale image to size of component
              g.drawImage(yourImage, 0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight(), null);
    };

  • Dynamically changing LOV whenever another item changes

    I have two items on a page that are implemented as select lists based on LOVs, product and product category. The query for the product category lov references the product item. However, changes made to the product item are not reflected in the list of values for the product category item. As I understand, javascript is needed to make the LOV for product category dynamically change whenever the product item changes. Can somebody point me to documentation which details how to do this. Thanks for your help.

    Hi, Sorry for late reply,
    Please change the class :

    get { return source; }
    set { SetProperty(ref source, value); }
    public int MyProperty { get; set; }

    if (!object.Equals(storage, value))
    storage = value;
    if (PropertyChanged != null)
    PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName));

    if (PropertyChanged != null)
    PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(propertyName));
    public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged;

    public MainPage()
    this.InitializeComponent();
    img.Add(new ImageCollection() { MyProperty = 1, Source = "ms-appx:///Assets/Logo.scale-100.png" });
    img.Add(new ImageCollection() { MyProperty = 2, Source = "ms-appx:///Assets/2.jpg" });
    img.Add(new ImageCollection() { MyProperty = 3, Source = "ms-appx:///Assets/3.jpg" });
    img.Add(new ImageCollection() { MyProperty = 4, Source = "ms-appx:///Assets/4.jpeg" });
    gd.ItemsSource = img;
    private void gd_Tapped(object sender, TappedRoutedEventArgs e)
    GridView gv = (GridView)sender;
    ImageCollection ic = gv.SelectedItem as ImageCollection;
    ic.Source = "ms-appx:///Assets/4.jpeg";
    gv.UpdateLayout();
    I have used  INotifyPropertyChanged now UI is not fluctuate
    and I have not bind again O-Collection.
    I hope so You will get right answer.

  • Question about dynamically changing image source

    hi, this might be a stupid question that i've simply never
    seen, but i have a picture on a page that, when the user clicks a
    link below, needs to change to an altered picture. probably very
    simple, i just need code that will change the image source of a
    named image by clicking a link. thanks for any help you can give
    me.

    You can use a remote rollover technique that uses css
    (nesting one or more elements inside an anchor link) and absolute
    positioning, or JavaScript.
    Here is a quick JavaScript to achieve this effect:
    xhtml code
    <head>
    <script src="external.js" language = "javascript" type =
    "text/javascript"></script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p><a href="new_page.html" id="arrow"> New
    Page</a></p>
    <img src="images/image1_off.gif" width="100" height="20"
    id="arrowImg" alt="arrow" />
    </body>
    external JavaScript file
    window.onLoad = rolloverInit;
    function rolloverInit() {
    for (var i=0; i<document.links.length; i++)
    var linkObj = document.links
    if (linkObj.id) {
    var imgObj = document.getElementById(linkObj.id + "Img");
    if (imgObj) {
    setupRollover(linkObj, imgObj);
    function setupRollover(thisLink, thisImage) [
    this.Link.imgToChange = thisImage;
    this.Link.onmouseout = rollOut;
    this.Link.onmouseover = rollOver;
    thisLink.outImage = new Image();
    this.Link.outImage.src = this.Image.src;
    thisLink.overImage = new Image();
    thisLink.overImage.src = "images/" + thisLink.id +
    "_on.gif";
    function rollOver() {
    this.imgToChange.src = this.overImage.src;
    function rollOut() {
    this.imageToChange.src = this.outImage.src;
    There is a lot going on here but if you know a little
    JavaScript it will be failry easy to work it out. The important
    thing is to note the file layout, naming conventions and image
    constructs. Make sure the ids, etc are matched in the functions and
    html code.
    This technique shows the user what the image will become if
    they click the text when they mouse over the text link. This is
    handy for showing a preview of an image. You can alter the script
    to change the image without a preview if you don't want that
    effect.

  • Dynamically changing size of JList items?

    Hello!
    I'm working on an application which kind of revolves around a JList with a custom ListCellRenderer. Now, it all works rather good as it is, but I want the selected JList item to show more detailed information about the selected value, and thus I need it to be bigger then the not selected items. The thing is that no matter what I do I can't seem to make the JList adopt to the new size of the selected item, which results in only half of the stuff in the selected item being shown.
    Is there any way to do this it would be great! (I bet there is some really simple way which I have simply overlooked.)
    And, fyi: The component returned by getListCellRendererComponent is a JPanel which consists of three JLabels using a GridLayout. The selected component is generally the same, but with an extra row in the GridLayout.
    Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreceated!

    I have tried with a couple of different layout managers, and none of them (except for this one) seems to offer me the layout I need. Also, I have tried making it return different instances depending on if it is selected or not. The non-selected one has only one row in the layout while the selected has two. Here is a screenshot of how it looks:

  • Best Practice: Dynamically changing Item-Level permissions?

    Hi all,
    Can you share your opinion on the best practice for Dynamically changing item permissions?
    For example, given this scenario:
    Item Creator can create an initial item.
    After item creator creates, the item becomes read-only for him. Other users can create, but they can only see their own entries (Created by).
    At any point in time, other users can be given Read access (or any other access) by an Administrator to a specific item.
    The item is then given edit permission to a Reviewer and Approver. Reviewers can only edit, and Approvers can only approve.
    After the item has been reviewed, the item becomes read-only to everyone.
    I read that there is only a specific number of unique permissions for a List / Library before performance issues start to set in. Given the requirements above, it looks like item-level permission is unavoidable.
    Do you have certain ideas how best to go with this?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to change item level permission.
    There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.
    You can create a custom permission level using Visual Studio to allow users to add & view items, but not edit permission.
    Then create a group with the custom permission level. The users in this group would have the permission of create & add permission, but they could no edit the item.
    In the CodePlex, there is a custom workflow activities, but by default it only have four permission level:
    Full Control , Design ,Contribute and Read.
    You should also customize some permission levels for your scenario.
    What’s more, when use the SharePoint 2013 designer, you should only use the 2010 platform to create the workflow using this activities,

  • Dynamic Background - Changing images

    Hi,
    I'm new to Dreamweaver and also web design. I saw a site with a nice dynamic background that changes images. I was wondering what sort of function would I be looking to code to get the same sort of result? The website I saw was https://www.bizpora.com

  • How to dynamically changes items properties

    How to dynamically changes items properties likes position order in tabular view, width, prompt

    Many object properties can be set programmatically at runtime. For example, each window object has a Visible property that can be set to either Yes or No to show and hide the window. At runtime, you can call the built-in procedure SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY to show or hide the window dynamically, as shown here:
    Set_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE, PROPERTY_ON);
    The following built-in procedures are available for setting object properties at runtime:
    -     SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY
    -     SET_CANVAS_PROPERTY
    -     SET_FORM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_ITEM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_LOV_PROPERTY
    -     SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY
    -     SET_PARAMETER_ATTR
    -     SET_RADIO_BUTTON_PROPERTY
    -     SET_RECORD_PROPERTY
    -     SET_RELATION_PROPERTY
    -     SET_VIEW_PROPERTY
    -     SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY
    The built-in procedure SET_ITEM_PROPERTY can be used to set the properties of any type of item, including buttons, text items, check boxes, radio groups, etc.
    Note: Radio group items include individual radio buttons; use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY to set the properties of the radio group, and SET_RADIO_BUTTON_PROPERTY to set the properties of the individual buttons in the group.
    Each built-in SET procedure has a corresponding GET function that allows you to programmatically determine the current setting of an object's properties. The following example uses GET_WINDOW_PROPERTY to determine if a window is currently hidden (VISIBLE = FALSE). If the window is hidden, SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY is called to show the window.
    If Get_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE) = 'FALSE' THEN
    Set_Window_Property('my_window',VISIBLE,PROPERTY_ON);
    To determine if a particular property can be set programmatically, refer to the property descriptions in online Help.

  • Dynamically Changing stylesheets and images of B2B application

    Hello All,
    We have a requirement to dynamically  change the stylesheets and images of B2B application based on Country  US or UK of the logged-in user.
    On looking into B2B source code, we identified  that stylesheets are defined in init-config.xml , ExtendedInitStyleHandler, BrowserType, ExtendedStyleManager, java classes are used.
    Can  anyone  provide suggestions how this can be achieved?
    Thanks,
    Raj

    What you are trying to achieve is not a simple task. It is better to put some thought and resources to build what yuo need. There is no out-of-the-box way to change the stylesheet dynamically.
    Would it be a feasible option
    No. But technically you can have your own tag with another parameter to specify the country and you can have custom logic to add the right stylesheet.
    The class ExtendedInitStyleHandler initializes the application with the list of stylesheets defined in the init-config.xml and any extensions in the /xcm/customer/modification/initconfig.xml
    It is the tag <isa:stylesheets/> that adds the stylesheet(s) to the JSP and class StyleSheetsTag uses ExtendedStyleManager
    Try this out. Just prior to placing the tag <isa:stylesheets>, use the following class, methods and code in <% Java scriptlet  %>
    public class ExtendedStyleManager;
    public static Iterator getStyles();
    public static void clear(); and
    public static void addStyleSheet(StyleSheet style);
    1. read the current styles (getStyles()),
    2. keep a copy of the safe,
    3. Clear the list (clear()),
    4. Add your country specific stylesheet();
    5. Add rest of the styles you need from the saved list
    6. <isa:stylesheets/>
    It is possible to write a custom tag lib too with the above logic and a country - parameter and use the custom tag in place of the isa tag.

  • Dynamically Changing Labels for Multi Row Block Buttons

    Forms [32 Bit] Version 9.0.4.1.0 (Production)
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bit Production
    On my local: Windows 7 OS
    I am having a difficult time in doing the following in forms, and not sure if it can be done?
    I have a multi row block,based on DB table, which displays filename and another column from the table.
    It also has a push button on each row, which opens and displays the physical file from its source, when clicked. The filename thus can have 3 diff statuses depending on its sources and accordingly corresponding button should display appropriate label:
    a) View Image (its is in content server and successfully imaged. In this case I display the file in the browser, from the content server, when the button is clicked)
    b) View File (Display the file from file system)
    c) View Error (Display imaging error message from the table, as file failed to make it to the imaging server)
    I have this logic currently coded in the post query trigger, at the block level, and tried using set_item_property(button_id, label, <button_lable>), where I programmatically set the button lable, based on the file status (imaged, not imaged or has error) in that row. This wroks well, only if all the files in the multi row block have the same status. If each of them have diff statuses, then only last processed files's status gets reflected into the button label. For eg: The file in the first row of the block is imaged, and one in the second row has an imaging error. The button label for the first row should say 'View Image' and button for the second row should say 'View Error'. But now buttons for both the rows display 'View Error', as thats what got processed last!
    I __can not use set_item_instance property for 'label'__ (which lets us dynamically change the label on the push buttons).
    Is there any way to do this for ORacle forms? I am now playing with having 3 diff button items in that block, laying them on top of each other and showing only those that are appropriate and hiding the others... But I am not sure it is going to give me what I need? I think I am going to end up facing the same issues as in above case!!
    Any expert advice is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance for your time:

  • How to dynamically change the text of a TextObject with embedded DataField?

    Hi
    I'm trying to dynamically change the text of a TextObject at runtime, by using the .NET library. My problem is that if one or more DatabaseFieldDefinition is embedded inside my text, I'm unable to change the "static text" only, by keeping the field, e.g. I have :
    Text1 => "Contact Name: {Contact.Name}"
    and I'd like to change it to anything else like:
    Text1 => "Nom du Contact: {Contact.Name}"
    Half of my TextObject is static text while second part comes from the dataset.
    (of course the translation is dynamic - it is called at run-time and the new value to be set depends on the calling application language)
    If I simply modify the Text property of my TextObject, the {Contact.Name} embedded field is not evaluated anymore by the Crystal Engine, but considered as a single text.
    Using formulas or parameters looks quite difficult, because it means having many ones just for translation needs - I cannot control the way my users will create their reports and "force them" to use complex methods just in order to put a text and a value together...
    Anyone knows how to deal with that ?

    Only way I can think of doing this:
    1) Create a formula (call it lang) and enter the string "Contact Name" in it
    2) Place the  {Contact.Name} field next to the string
    3) So now you have:
    ContactName:  {Contact.Name}
    4) Check what localization you are after. If you need "Nom du Contact", change the lang formula so it shows "Nom du Contact" using the code below:
    Imports CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
    Imports CrystalDecisions.Shared
    Public Class Form1
    Inherits System.Windows.Forms.Form
    Dim Report As New CrystalReport1()
    Dim FormulaFields As FormulaFieldDefinitions
    Dim FormulaField As FormulaFieldDefinition
    Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
    FormulaFields = Report.DataDefinition.FormulaFields
    FormulaField = FormulaFields.Item(0)
    FormulaField.Text = "[formula text]"
    CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = Report
    End Sub
    I realize this may not give you consistent spacing as the translations may have strings of differnt length. Perhaps someone has other idea(s)...

  • Automator - Change Image Type - Multiple page PDF- TIFF conversion

    I was able to do this on a friend's computer (not sure which version of OS X they were running), but this seems impossible on Snow Leopard.
    I need to convert hundreds of multiple page PDFs to TIFFs. I can't get this to work, and the Change Image Type option only lists single page PDF conversion. I could separate PDFs into multiple files, convert to TIFFs, but then I don't know how to recombine a bunch of TIFF pages into a larger file. From google searches, I know this is possible using tiffutil, but I don't really understand how to use that well, and I really need an automatic process.
    I'm at my wits end with this, because I did it just last week on someone else's computer and it was easy as pie. Why can't you convert multiple page PDFs in Snow Leopard?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    I just tried this - two problems.
    It creates a separate tiff document for each page of the input pdf.
    Also, this action is just annoying because it results in randomly named files in some temp folder that i can only locate using the reveal finder item action. I know I can rename files in automator, but I'd really like to have the output file have the same name as the input file.
    It confuses me why they would remove this functionality in Snow Leopard.
