Dynamically changing node and items properties in CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE.
Hello ABAP experts ,
I am printing a tree with cl_gui_column_tree in which there are two checkboxes. i want to give radiobutton effect to these check boxes. i want to update second checkbox if first is ticked and vice versa . is it possible to do so ? i also have seen the standard control examples but it does not contain this functionality. I want the method that will update the node and item and how to build the tables for it . Please response wether this is possible or not. My code is below..

We don't recommend making layout renderers for each item that needs to be laid out. In fact you shouldn't be creating layout renderers at all (they are created automatically by the MediaContainer). The best way to layout Media is to add LayoutMetadata to the MediaElements. If you want to integrate layout into your controls, which aren't MediaElements, I wouldn't suggest you place them manually on the stage, and do you yourself. If you absolutely need to use the OSMF layout system, I would recommend creating a MediaElement to wrap your controls, and then give the wrapper the layout metadata you need. The easiest approach though, is to look at the OSMFPlayer example, which has a skinnable player. You can specify image for every button in the player, as well as background color, etc....
We will be releasing a white paper on the subject of layout in the coming weeks. I'll be sure to include a section on laying out your player controls.

Store BP and Item properties in Rows of new table in parallel to columns
Hi Product Development Team,
At present SAP B1 stores BP and Item properties as 64 columns in respective master table.
As the main purpose of property feature is for Reporting and Analysis, Analysis Report developers faces difficulties in preparing analysis report based on properties in the present structure of prperties in column.
I suggest to introduce additional new table (each for Business Partners and Items properties) which contain rows for selected BPs/item's selected properties.
In order to retain present functionality the existing column can remain as it is and also continue to updated as it is.Only additional new table will also get updated and new analysis reports can be build using these newly suggested tables.

Remove createDVRTrait and createTimeTrait methods from NetLoader, and add a 'processFinishLoading' stub (@private), and have DVRCastNetLoader override it in order to add the custom DVRTrait and TimeTrait.

Problem with dynamic change a page item value

I'm trying to dynamically calculated the value of an item based on a simple formula that involves the multiplication of two elements from the same page.
To do this, create dynamic action as follows:

Selection Type: Item(s)

Action: Set value
Fire on page load: TRUE

SQL Statement: SELECT :P19_DURATION * :P19_RATE FROM DUAL

When altering the P19_DURATION get no change in P19_AMOUNT
Since my knowledge of javascript is almost zero, I'm trying to do this with pl / sql or sql. Try the dynamic action with a function or a PL / SQL statement and nothing works.
Have to use javascript for this?
Searching the forum I think it's something simple, but I did not find an example similar to what I need.

First list item contain two list values: Regular and One-time
In second list item if user select the Regular then below values should appear:

Please do the needful.First list item contain two list values: Regular and One-timeYou simply need to add a conditional check to the When-List-Changed (WLC) trigger to see which value was selected. Then, as Manu suggests, you will populate the Poplist based on the selected value.

I want to dislay the description for all nodes & Items when creating a Tree. In normal ABAP we assign the relevative text and fill the node table & Item table.
But in the case of WD ABAP how it works.

Refere WD application WDT_TREE. In this application, 2 attributes are taken as mt_folder_struc and mt_file_struc. These are of type TIHTTPNVP. While filling these tables, make sure to pass proper parent child node.
See methods, FILL_FILETABLE and FILL_FOLDERTABLE. field NAME corresponds to child key
and field VALUE corresponds to parent key. as these are of type STRING, you need to concatenate text description to code and accordingly fill the tables mt_folder_struc and mt_file_struc.

Dynamically Changing stylesheets and images of B2B application
Hello All,
We have a requirement to dynamically change the stylesheets and images of B2B application based on Country US or UK of the logged-in user.
On looking into B2B source code, we identified that stylesheets are defined in init-config.xml , ExtendedInitStyleHandler, BrowserType, ExtendedStyleManager, java classes are used.
Can anyone provide suggestions how this can be achieved?

RajWhat you are trying to achieve is not a simple task. It is better to put some thought and resources to build what yuo need. There is no out-of-the-box way to change the stylesheet dynamically.

No. But technically you can have your own tag with another parameter to specify the country and you can have custom logic to add the right stylesheet.
The class ExtendedInitStyleHandler initializes the application with the list of stylesheets defined in the init-config.xml and any extensions in the /xcm/customer/modification/initconfig.xml
It is the tag <isa:stylesheets/> that adds the stylesheet(s) to the JSP and class StyleSheetsTag uses ExtendedStyleManager
Try this out. Just prior to placing the tag <isa:stylesheets>, use the following class, methods and code in <% Java scriptlet %>

It is possible to write a custom tag lib too with the above logic and a country - parameter and use the custom tag in place of the isa tag. -

is it ever planned by Oracle to allow runtime changes (set_block_property and set_item_property) for:
- the Block-Property: Records_Displayed
- the Item-Property: Items_displayed
- the Item-Property: Canvas
- the Item-Property: Hint_Text
- the Item-Property: Mirror_Item
- the Item-Property: default_value
I've read the 9.02 Docs and all of them has to be set at designtime.
For building more sohisticated UIs we would need to set them at runtime.

All who had tried to do nice forms, had a lot of problems.
But you need to find a way to do it.
For example, you could create to canvas and display one of them in some case.
In when new form instance
or when create record in the block you can define de default vaule of the item.
If you are new I suggest you give a check to all the triggers, and most of them can be
create at item, block or form level. -
Hi, I'm making a music video bound for the internet shooting on a DVX100B in PAL progressive (25fps) in squeeze mode (anamorphic).
Now in final cut pro I was wondering what the best settings were in the item properties tab. Also if I change the sequence item properties settings will it change all the clips I've used in that sequence (the stuff in the timeline) or will I have to change each clip individually in the timeline?
So the following settings are (for the sequence):
Vid rate: 25fps
Frame Size: 720x576
Compressor: DV PAL
Pixel Aspect: CCIR 601 (should I change this to square and if so why?)
Anamorphic: (no tick)
Field Dominance: Lower (Even) (Should I change this to none and if so why?)
Thanks for any advice on the following query. Any info at all on how and why I should change the above settings would be great. I'm also using compressor after this so could I make all these changes in compressor instead of in FCP, or is it best to change them here first as well?

Changing the sequence settings won't change clip properties.
Pixel Aspect: Don't change
ANamorphic: Do Tick
Field: Lower
Consider changing to Pro Res SD rather than DV.
I'd rather work with the correct settings in FCP so I could get reasonably accurate feedback on what I was editing. Export as QT Movie Current Settings. Bring into COmpressor as source file for a job/batch. Use Compressor to transcode. Start with one of the QT download presets and adjust bit rate and frame controls until you're satisfied.

Using the new features, and I think I have found a bug that I was wondering if anyone else can comment on.
GetNodeLeft(BSTR key) ... perfect
GetNodeTop(BSTR Key) ... perfect
GetNodeHeight(BSTR Key) ... perfect
BUT
GetNodeWidth(BSTR Key) ... returns weird values, except for the first item in the tree.
The function then returns what seems to be:
(Control Width - (Height * Absolute Position))
The deeper one goes into the tree, the smaller the width becomes ...
Surely this is a bug .... -

Best Practice: Dynamically changing Item-Level permissions?
Hi all,
Can you share your opinion on the best practice for Dynamically changing item permissions?
For example, given this scenario:
Item Creator can create an initial item.
After item creator creates, the item becomes read-only for him. Other users can create, but they can only see their own entries (Created by).
At any point in time, other users can be given Read access (or any other access) by an Administrator to a specific item.
The item is then given edit permission to a Reviewer and Approver. Reviewers can only edit, and Approvers can only approve.
After the item has been reviewed, the item becomes read-only to everyone.
I read that there is only a specific number of unique permissions for a List / Library before performance issues start to set in. Given the requirements above, it looks like item-level permission is unavoidable.
Do you have certain ideas how best to go with this?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to change item level permission.
There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.
You can create a custom permission level using Visual Studio to allow users to add & view items, but not edit permission.
Then create a group with the custom permission level. The users in this group would have the permission of create & add permission, but they could no edit the item.
In the CodePlex, there is a custom workflow activities, but by default it only have four permission level:
Full Control , Design ,Contribute and Read.
You should also customize some permission levels for your scenario.
What’s more, when use the SharePoint 2013 designer, you should only use the 2010 platform to create the workflow using this activities,
