Dynamically  creating jsp page fields

HI
i have one jsp with enter id then click go button.
when the user click go button i have to display the details like name,address from the back end to same jsp.
i am using the struts frame work
please help.

Help you with what? You are only saying that you have a requirement and that you need to use struts. What exactly do you have a problem with? If it's the fact that you don't know much about struts, then you need to help yourself by learning to use it.

    It is generally a bad idea to start threads in JSPs and Servlets. However, there is a need for them ... sometimes... Stress the rarety of sometimes. If you want to cancel the TimeTask, then chances are you don't want the Timer running from your JSP.
    To answer your question, how is the Timer/TimerTask objects you are working with stored? To make changes, they would need to be stored in some scope where they can be accessed later. That means session if you want different users to have dirrerent tasks. application scope if all users should control the same task (be careful with this, you may have problems with synchronization issues).
    I would think there is probably a better solution to your problem. Maybe if you explain in more detail, we can come up with a better one.

  • Problem redirecting to dynamically created htmls pages

    Hello All,
    Scenario is like this, i am creating the dynamic htmls pages, in the servlets
    and after creating the htmls pages in the servlets , the control passes to
    the jsp page, where i am including the html page that is created at the servlets,
    its works fine, but some time it shows me null exception at the jsp page, i.e
    it won't find the htmls pages, even they are created b'fore.
    I am using weblogic server 6.1 with sp3.
    Can anybody know what is the reason.

    Same problem here. Hopefully apple can get this fixed asap. I tried this with numbers and an Excel file and it worked just fine.

  • WebLogic 6.0 - Dynamically created JSPs are not recognized

              I have a web application that creates JSP files dynamically per a user's request.
              In WebLogic 6.1, the application server recognizes these files no problem. However
              in WebLogic 6.0, I get a 404 File Not Found error when I try to load these pages
              in the browser. The files are definitely there, but WebLogic is not picking them
              up. What do I need to do to configure WebLogic to look for these new JSPs on
              the fly? Thanks for any help that you can give me.
              Terry

              Actual this problem goes for all new files: *.html, *.gif, *.jpg, etc... WebLogic
              6.0 does not pick up any new files until a restart occurs. Any ideas on how to
              configure this? Thanks.

  • How i will dynamically include jsp pages in a dynamic richfaces tab?

    Hello experts,
    I am unable to include jsp in dynamically created richfaces tab
    i am able to create the tabs sucessfully,but could not include the jsps in these tabs
    Please help???
    following is the code
              HtmlTab t;
                   t = new HtmlTab();
                   t.setId(id);
                   t.setName(id);
                                                    IncludeTag in=new IncludeTag();
                                                    t.setData(in);
                                                    tabpanel.getChildren().add(t);

    Another approach is to parse the blog's RSS feed into your HTML page with a PHP script.
    This is your wife's RSS feed:
    http://ninjabaker1.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
    Feed for All has a free script.  I just tested it and it seems to work ok with Blogger's RSS.

  • Flash Pro CC  dynamically create an input field problems?

    I dynamically created an input TextField and designated a TextFormat object that is a Thai Font. The difficulty I have is the superscript above the Thai letters will not display. These tone marks are cut off by the uppermost dimension of the field.
    The following is an example of the problem   "   นี้  "
    The tone mark "  ้  "does not display
    If there are multiple lines the tone marks are obscured by the line above.
    I have fooled around with carriage returns and RegExp as a work around but this is torture.
    Any ideas?
    thanks

    Thank you Rob for your help. The  leading property will add whatever space I require between lines. So  the response was helpful there. However it does not apply to the first line.I have worked around this by adding a  carriage return as the initial line of text. This is working for me

  • How to access a variable from a dynamically included JSP page

    I have a jsp (say main.jsp) using the following in its code :
    <jsp:include page="menu.jsp" flush="true" />
    I have a variable in menu.jsp which I would like to use in my main.jsp.
    How do I get the value of the variable defined in menu.jsp ?
    I called this variable in menu.jsp, Public, but this didnot help me use the value of that variable in main.jsp
    Any help is highly appreciated.. thnks a lot

    I do notice the variable var1 has the value populated - in menu.jsp - (from View -->
    Source in the browser) but for some reason not able to use it in main.jspI'm not quite sure of the way your jsps are structured from your code snippet but I think there is something to be aware of here that may be part of your problem, namely the difference between the include directive and the include action.
    You are currently using the include action, this treats the included resource as a dynamic object - i.e. a request is sent to that resource and the resulting response is included in your page. So when you think of what there is no java variable actually included - you'll just get the resulting HTML that is generated by menu.jsp
    The include directive, as in <%@include file=menu.jsp %>, on the other hand treats the resource as a static object. This means the actual bytes in the included resource are inserted into the including jsp and then the result of that is compiled and processed, effectively you are cutting and pasting the menu.jsp into your calling jsp. In this case the variable would be available to the calling jsp.
    However this approach does bring other difficulties that may break your current code, you'll just have to try it and see what happens.
    Hope that's relevant to your problem,
    Matt

  • JSP Page - HTML fields validator

    We are designing this new project, which involves writing lots of JSP pages. Now the HTML pages will be designed by Web designer. but the actual code for JSP page will be written by developers.
    We have a repository containing field names. This repository can be in XML file/DB etc.
    Our requirement is that the web designer can develop any HTML page but the field names should only be from the given repository. So do we have any development tool(s) which can do the same? or do we have any web page validator? or can somebody suggest what will be the best way to do it, if we have to develop some code

    Hi Rahul,
    You can print your dynamically generated jsp page by using Javascript code
    Try this code in the head region
    <script language="Javascript">
    function print()
    document.print();
    </script>
    in the hyperlink <a href="Javascript:print();>print</a>

  • Create Dynamic Structure based on Field-Symbol

    Hi Experts!!
    I need to create a structure with dynamic structure included within.
    I have a parameter on sel. screen in which we provide table name.
    PARAMETERS: p_table TYPE tabname.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <gt_data> TYPE ANY TABLE.
    CREATE DATA gr_data TYPE TABLE OF (p_table).
    ASSIGN gr_data-* TO <gt_data>.
    Now I need a structure like below:
    TYPES: BEGIN OF type_test,
    struct TYPE <gt_data>, " dynamic structure based on table name entered on sel. screen
    fld1 TYPE c,
    fld2 TYPE n,
    END OF type_test.
    Can somebody suggest how to achieve this?
    Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot

    You can view this thread where our friend Marcin rocks .. Dynamically create a type
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <gt_data> TYPE ANY TABLE.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <gs_wa> TYPE ANY.
    data:wf_ref type ref to data.
    DATA:i_comp TYPE cl_abap_structdescr=>component_table,
         i_tot_comp TYPE cl_abap_structdescr=>component_table.
    CREATE DATA gr_data TYPE TABLE OF (p_table).
    ASSIGN gr_data-* TO <gt_data>.
    create data wf_ref like line of <gt_data>.
    assign wf_ref->* to <gs_wa>.
    *--Getting Compoents from existing type
      lf_struct ?= cl_abap_typedescr=>describe_by_name( '<GS_WA>' ).
      i_comp = lf_struct->get_components( ).
      APPEND LINES OF i_comp TO i_tot_comp.
    The idea is Get all the field details available it to i_tot_comp, then append individual fields manually to
    i_tot_comp as explained in the link and create a dynamic structure and table.

  • Timed out issue in jsp page!

    Dears,
    It is really amazing for me to see this issue in my application which I deployed in Oracle Application Server 10g r2.
    I am using JDeveloper 10g to create jsp pages.
    On one jsp page i am displaying 15 html tables for a report.
    All tables have 1 query to get records from oracle 10g database.
    Am opening one connection and than one by one running queries just before each table and rendering data through ResultSet
    (which is scrollable).
    If I test this page from JDeveloper, it is displaying fine.
    But when I deploy this page in Oracle Application Server 10g,
    and create a portlet and show this jsp page in portlet and open this page,
    this page most of the time giving 'TIMED OUT', and a few times displaying report properly.
    I tried PreparedStatement to run multiple queries for Oracle DB, but couldn't make it successfully.
    BTW,
    I checked my OAS log, it shows following error:
    09/03/16 18:39:08 hrwfapp: [instance=(null), id=(null)] ERROR: Request has exceeded its warning timeout Time[elapsed=61046ms.

    Please help me in this regard, what should I do to avoid Timed out issue.
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    if this occurs only in combination with portlets then I would try the Oracle Portal forum for help or use customer support to help you analyzing the issue

  • Why some coms not able to load certain JSP pages?

    Hi according to above,
    was thinking of creating jsp pages, but there seems to be occasional problems of not able to view jsp pages even though the computer has the updated JRE and has also try other browsers and had also reinstall JRE for a few times.
    Anyone know how to resolve this issue? The only method is I know is to format the computer and reinstall windows. Is this a windows issue or a jsp issue?

    i think you're confused. Applets need to have a local JRE on the client, JSP and servlets do not. All the java action in a JSP is performed on the SERVER, not the CLIENT. The server merely spits back to the client HTML (and possibly javascript) code just like any other static HTML page.
    Therefore, no web browser have ever not been able to view a JSP page. There may have been JSP pages that used JavaScript that doesn't work in all browsers, or JSP pages that returned invalid or browser specific HTML pages. But that's not JSPs fault.
    JSP --> No client JRE required.

    Ok, jsp pages to not contain java beans, java beans are separate classes which you access from a jsp.
    Is this what you have done, i.e. created classes under classes/yourPackage ?
    If so, you do not need to recompile the class when you move it, you can move the pre-compiled class file.
    In terms of your error, I have no idea, but it looks interesting!!
    The most likely cause is a difference in the JDK versions you are running on the different machines. If the JDK on windows 2000 is older, you may need to upgrade it.
