Dynamically moving the location of buttons

This may be a very easy solution with a setting or a control that I'm not seeing. I have some buttons that I'm putting under a table control. I would like the buttons to move up or down on the page based on the number of rows that appear in the table. How do I go about doing this?

I'm not following you. Do you have an example? In what event am I using setStyle() and how am I getting the size of the table to know where to place the buttons?

le to sync any music from I tunes. The problem started when I could not download new music because for some reason I moved the location of the music. At least the e/m says I did. I don't remember doing that. I decided to reformat my I pod and now I can sync my old music either, manually or automatically. I was wondering if I can delete all my music from I tunes & start over with new downloads? Will I get charged again?

Ok, got new phone and it worked fine..at first. Now I am getting the same error. I also notice that the iphone goes from saying "sync in progress" to back to the home screen with the icons. And then I get the message "could not sync phone - device not connected"
I am getting seriously frustrated. The Apple tech support people have been ZERO help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Itunes twice. I have even gone so far as doing a CLEAN install of OS X on my IMAC. Now I have the smae problems as before. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

How can i dynamically varie the location and number of major grids in XY graph.

I'm supposed to plot some statistics in X-Y graph with x-axis scaled on time stamps. The plot generated has only one major grid. Can I have a control over the location and number of major grids dynamically?

In the lightbox widget, how do I move a caption without moving the location of all the captions?

I'm using the lightbox widget for my portfolio, and I've uploaded files of various layouts and orientations. Some captions appear over my graphics. When I try to move the caption below the graphic, it moves the location for all of my captions. Edit Together is unchecked. What am I missing?

Moving the "Add Comments" button?

iWeb is adding the "Add Comments" button to an inconvenient portion of my web page. When I add a comment, the comment appears behind some pictures and text.
I would like to move where the comments are placed on the page but I cannot get that comments text to budge no matter what I do.
Any tips? Thanks.

Your problem is tied up with a nasty limitation of iWeb. When you start a new entry there is a default text box and a default picture. This box and this special picture are the ones that are abstracted to make the line entry in the entry listing page (the short bit of text with the 'more' link and the thumbnail picture). If you want to change the picture, you need to drag yours onto the existing one. If you delete the exisiting one and then add your own, your picture won't appear in the blog listing.
So, what's this got to do with the text? Well, there is a similar thing going on here too. That default text box is in some way programmed to provide the text for the abstract in the blog listing AND to determine the overall layout of the blog entry on the page. Wherever that box ends is where the 'Add comment' button will be and where any comments text will start. So, if you add pictures or text BELOW that box, the comments will appear on top of them.
The way around this is to make sure that you move that special text box down on the page and add your extra pictures and text boxes ABOVE it. The limitation here is that the blog abstract in the blog listings page will contain the first line or so of that special text box, which may now be some text out of the middle of your post rather than the start of it. Workaround? Summarise ytour blog posting in that last paragraph for a useful blog listing abstract.

Moving the location files to an other computer

I am installing all my software again as I have to many little problems. I do not want to use the migration tool as the to migrating files have moved in many increments all the way from 10.1 to 10.4 and from a G3 to a Pentium.
Anybody know where they hide in 10.4? And can I copy them across? Or any tricks involved?

nothing to loose it either works or not. if not I have backup and I restore. Otherwise I loose all the remote settings I do not know the details of (passwords) is a much worse fait in my mind.

Moving the location of features such as the Home button and the sometimes refresh button does not improve the function of the browser. It simply forces users to re-learn the location of these features and put up with the associated inconvenience. Why, what have you gained?

what a ridiculous reply. moving the home button is a pain when it has been on he left for many years now. why the change? are you trying to mimic ie? i hope not.
it doesn't create more space on the toolbar - in fact he default setting for firefox 4 removes space. by moving the home buttons and other buttons back it increases the space back to where it was before.
also why did the history button change to be a button on its own rather thn attached to the forward / back buttons?
to say it's not worth changing it for one person is a nonsense answer. i know loads of people who say it sucks so have had to customize it to change it back to how it was.

Ok. trying FF30 again. after FF28 things wend in a terrible direction and technical mozila devs pinned you on FF28. sofar after a few versions later there's still no improvemnet. the firefox 2 theme is wrong now (wrong icons , contrast and color), the new ones look tgerrible and blurred. want the old sharp buttons back

How do I restore the "close tab" button to the END of the tab bar, WITHOUT USING AN ADDON

Up until FF31, I used to have the following setting configured which moved the little 'X' button that closed tabs off of the tabs themselvs and onto the far right of the tab bar.

No, this no longer works. It has still moved the close buttons back to the tab buttons. Until I can figure out how to fix this, I will be moving back to a previous version. I can't for the life of me see why this feature was removed, other than Mozilla's seemingly arrogant insistence that it knows what people want better than they do.
I was since told by someone that I can use an addon to fix it, yet the problem is THEY DO NOT WORK. The addons that supposedly solve this all have intermittent failures where they don't load correctly, leave random dead tabs open, and in one case it even seemed to open new tabs when I tried to close one.
It's absolutely inexcusable that the dev team is so arrogant to take away a feature that has fundamentally no impact on the rest of the browser, other than, as I said before, they THINK they know what we want better than we do. It's no small wonder that FF is losing market share. The only thing keeping me on board was really this function, as I prefer this layout, and if it's gone, I see no reason to stick with FF over others.

unfortunately it is not possible to restore the close button to have only one (customizable) close button on the Tab bar without using an extension.
The extension is necessary because you need to create a new toolbar button and bind the proper code to it to make the button act as a tab close button (command: BrowserCloseTabOrWindow()).

Your location is determined from a location database which contains the MAC addresses of routers and their physical location. A MAC address is a unique number which is built-in to all network devices when manufactured. The database is built and updated by actually driving around and mapping router locations.
Since you just moved the location of your router has not been updated in the database and when you use Maps you will see your old location.
If you go outside your house you can be correctly located because your iPod sees other routers which are in the location database. Note that you do not need to be connected to a router for your iPod to see it and obtain its MAC address.

Why this slightly new position for the "Auto"-Tone button

In LR CC(6), Adobe moved the "Auto"-Tone button in the development section one button width to the right. Why?
Since the mouse moving from the white balance to the Auto-button is a very often used move, clicking to the old position (in the now empty) is very annoying.

I am willing to bet it was accidental, because if I were to move it, I probably would have aligned it under the "As Shot" above it. Either centered or left or right aligned, but aligned in any case.
You either have a really good eye, or your muscle memory is fantastic. Either way it is impressive that you spotted the change.

Locate Me button unresponsive/not finding my location.

Hey folks.. I've got a strange problem with my 16 GB iPhone.
When I push the Locate Me button, the button turns blue and it does the locating/spinning animation, but then it just goes back as if I had never pushed the button. It doesn't show my location. Doesn't display an error.
It just does absolutely nothing, regardless of how many times I push it.
The strange thing is that I was in NYC earlier today and it was working fine there. But it's not working at my house, and it used to work here fine.

Hey Christopher. I had this same problem. I realized that I had last left my Maps function on "List" view and had deleted my last set of directions. When I pressed the locate button, it would do as yours is doing and then nothing; just the checkerboard. I finally realized I needed to be in map or hybrid view to see my location! Hope this helps you as it did me!

Move "~/Pictures", or if just iPhoto pictures, "~/Pictures/iPhoto Library", to the new location.
If you moved iPhoto, open iPhoto with the option key held, like Tony T1 writes. Select "Other Library" and navigate to the new location.
To add the new location to the sidebar in Finder, just drag it onto the sidebar.
Same process for iTunes, or whole music folder.

on all previous versions of firefox the refresh button was either movable, or on the left side...
it's been moved to the end of the address bar... I HATE it there.

Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end side of the location bar. 
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button. 
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button. 
Middle-click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
To move the Stop and Reload buttons to their position to the left of the location bar you can use these steps:
* Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position to the left of the location bar.
* Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.
