DynamicConfigurationBean

has anybody used DynamicConfigurationBean for Mail adapter?
could you answer my below query?
I have file droped by Legacy system  and PI has to pick the file and send the content of the file to Mail as body of the mail..
i have used DynamicConfigurationBean to overite Mail-IDs coming from the mapping;
below are the DynamicConfigurationBean parameters in reciever Mail Adapter;
Processing Sequence:
1     AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean                   Local Enterprise Bean     1
2     sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean     Local Enterprise Bean     0
Module Configuration:
key.0     insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail To
value.0     TomailID
key.1    insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail From
value.1     FrommailID
There are no errors; but issue is TomailID  and FrommailID  are not overwritting the mailIDs coming from mapping.
what I'm using above is that correct?
your answers are appriciated..

The problem is solved:
Solution:
- Do not mention To feild in the XSLT mapping
- in Configuration; for MAIL communication channel; go to MODULE tab n give the below parameters;
Processing Sequence:
no'                 Module Name                               Type                  Module key
1      AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean                     Local Enterprise Bean                 5
2      sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean  Local Enterprise Bean                 2
Module Configuration:
Module Key        Parameter Name              parameter Value
5          key.1                      insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail THeaderTO
5          value.1                   <Email-ID>
- Go to ADVANCE tab n check Use Adapter-Specific Message Attributes
check Variable Transport Binding  in text box give the value "XHeaderName1"

  • Problem while  using module DynamicConfigurationBean

    Hi experts
               I am doing a file-to-file bypass (<b>without any mapping involved</b>) scenario.My input file name is <comanycode>.<date>.<timestamp>.dat and I want output filename as <companycode>constant.<date><timestamp>.dat To achive this I used  <b>Dynamic configuration bean module</b> along with variable substitution but its appending the whole file name however i want only the first four letter of the input file namei.e company code.So plz guide me that wheather using this bean extracting some part of  the file name is possible or not?
    Is there is any other way to extract some part of the file name without doing any mapping i.e without the help of payload? Plz guide me as its urgent.
    Regard
    Neha

    Neha,
    DynamicConfiguration Bean will allow you to set the values,but if I understand right you want to perfrom substring operations etc on the data in the file.
    To do this, you would need a write a Custom Module.

  • How to send multiple files with it's original name over HTTPS using one CC?

    I am working on a File to HTTPs scenario. It is in production and working fine. Currently we send only one file and I have hard coded the name in the communication channel in the header fields. Now we have to send more files with different names and I want to use only one receiver channel instead of many. We need to send the files with their original names.
    I used the ASMA in the sender File Adapter and I see the FileName in the dynamic configuration under http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File name="FileName".
    I know we can use a UDF in message mapping and get the value and put it in HEADERFIELDONE. But we don't want to use mapping as the files are huge and we don't want to insert XML tags in the payload.
    So how do I put the Filename from the DynamicConfiguration to the HTTP header field as FileName without using mapping? Are there any settings?
    Can I put something in the PROLOG or can I use any other module in the File Sender Adapter or is there any other option?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sai

    See my blog:
    /people/stefan.grube/blog/2009/06/19/unknown-use-case-of-dynamicconfigurationbean-store-file-name-to-jms-header-without-mapping
    You have to put the configuration in sender channel, as HTTP adapter does not allow modules.
    For the second module, put values related to HTTP adapter.

  • Dynamic filename configuration via custom EJB

    Hi Experts,
                        We are doing a poc on whether we can do the dynamic filename configuration,i.e. set the file name dynamically in a custom EJB deployed on the server and called in the sender comm. channel of any J2EE based adapter.
    The requirement is for some interfaces, there is no mapping requirement other then setting the filename dynamically, which maybe based on a certain value of the input file or a specific portion of string in the payload.
    The custom EJB takes the namespace and attribute as input parameters along with other string manupulation parameters to determine the receiver file name. That is if we are using sender JMS adapter, we can have namespace = http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS and attribute as DCJMSMessageProperty1. The bean would read the value and perform the manipulation based on certain other input parameters and set the file.
    There is one particular bean : AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean but it does not allow us to manipulate the filename.
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Orlan - So are you using SAP AS2 adapter?
    If you so i think you can make use of dynamic configuration bean.

    Enable adapter specific attributes in sender SFTP channel and in the receiver AS2 channel use the above module to swap the dynamic attributes.

  • Need to get the Mail attachment name as it is to the receiver file adapter

    I am doing a Mail to File scenario. I need to get the attachment from the mail and store it on the file server. I am using the PayloadSwap bean in the sender mail adapter. My requirement is to carry forward the attachement name as it is to the receiver file adapter side and store the file with the same name.

    HI,
    your variable declartion is perfect, can you please check the below points,
       1.To specify variables in the target directory and file name scheme, they must be enclosed by % characters.
       2.variable name is case sensitive, can you give only lower case instead of giving upper case.
       3. Model_Number is giving same as per the message type.

  • Variable substitution error while using Seeburger module parameter

    Hi Freinds,
    I would like to use the variable substitution in a receiver file adapter to add the invoice no.
    (which is contained in the XML file) to the target filename.
    In addition I have to convert the XML file to an X12 EDI format using the seeburger module "localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean".
    As soon as this entry is made in the modules the following error message occurs:
    "com.sap.aii.adapter.file.configuration.DynamicConfigurationException:
    Error during variable substitution: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.varsubst.VariableDataSourceException:
    Caught SAXException while parsing XML payload: Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException:
    XMLParser: No data allowed here: (hex) 53, 4f, 48(:main:, row:1, col:3)"
    My problem is that the conversion from XML to X12 EDI is done before the variable substitution is started.
    That`s why the reference for the variable is no longer valid as the file is already converted to a X12 EDI (=flatfile) format.
    If I disable one of the two steps (either 1:1-mapping or variable substitution) the other step runs properly.
    Has anybody an idea how to solve this topic?
    Is it possible to specify the variable substitution as module?
    If this is possible I could solve it by just reordering the two steps in the module chain.

    Use Dynamic Configuration Bean to set this value. You have to use this well before "localejbs/CallBicXIRaBean".

    Use Dynamic Configuration concept in UDF to set the filename under message Mapping.

    Hi All
    I need some help in calling Dynamic File Name and Dynamic File size of a file in my adapter Module.
    Could you please provided some help on the same?
    I have tried the same through UDF it is working. Could anyone provide me the steps for the same

    Hi,
    You can use the already available adapter module "DynamicConfigurationBean". Have this adapter module at the top of the module list in CC.
    Have the parameter value as insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File FileName and http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File SourceFileSize (corresponding to the key names)

  • Setting Dynamic values to the payload-name / Content Desc

    Hi All,
    I am using a PayloadZIp module and i am trying to zip the file and retain the filename.
    For this i have done the following things. I have used PayloadZIp in the Sender channel. In the recv channel used the DynamicConfigurationBean and wrote the value as a part of message_interface and then using variable substitution i have configured made the filename as the sender name.zip
    for eg if the file zipped at the sender side is name1.txt the recv channel would be name1.txt.zip where the variable substituiton would have the value name1.txt
    but the problem is that the value of the file inside the zip is not name1,txt . I would like it to be name1.txt
    I have used the messageTransformBean and stuff tried setting the ContentTypes Desc all of them take constant values. i am not able to set the real filename as the filename for the attachment.
    Can anyone share their views on this and let meknow hw i can achieve this

    If you are trying to zip a file, then why are you using the PayloadZipbean on the Sender CC, you should use the module on the Receiver CC.

  • How to pass dynamic filename to Receiver JMS channel

    Hi experts,
    I want to pass the dynamic filename to receiver JMS message Properties.
    for example
    I am passing directory name via adapter module AF_Modules/DynamicConfigurationBean with key and value combination like below. How to pass dynamic filename value to a dynamic property ( say DCJMSMessageProperty1)
    eg.
    key.0 - >insert http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS DCJMSMessageProperty0
    value.0 - >  testdirectory ( which is static value)
    Note: Im have not created any ESR object . i just have to bypass the file to a jms queue. I have used AAE integrated configuration scenario ( file to jms )

    Already given link for the dynamic configuration code snippet in the earlier reply... Below is the code snippet
    Note: Use Adapter Specific Message Attributes for the target Communication Channel(CC).Check the indicator for filename in the advanced tab of CC
    //UDF code
    String filename="";
    String NameSpace = "http:/"+"/sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS";
    try{
          DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) param.get(
            StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
          DynamicConfigurationKey key  =  DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File",   "FileName");
           // read filename value
           filename = conf.get(key);
          // So far we extracted filename value .. now do your logic  something like this...
          DynamicConfigurationKey key2 = DynamicConfigurationKey.create(NameSpace,"yourjmsvalue goes here");
           conf.put(key2,filename);
         } catch(Exception e){

  • ASMA parameters in file adapter

    Hi experts,
    Please explain when exactly we will get the requirement to use  ASMA attributes in file adapter and provide few examples?

    HI,
    Just to add a quick note, in the case of adapter like File Adapter you have the option in the Sender / Receiver File Adapter to select the ASMA and the corresponding Attribute ( eg : FileName, Directory etc ) to be used from the SOAP Header.
    In the case of few other adapters like SOAP, you do not have such explicit option. You add the ASMA to the SOAP Header using a UDF and you just select ASMA and Varibale Transport Binding in the Receiver SOAP adapter and all the SOAP Adapter value are replaced with header ASMA.
    Each adapter has a few specific ASMA and these can be seen along with the technical names while trying to set some condtion in the Condition Editory under Context Objects.
    If we check ASMA of file adapter ......all the information corresponding to that attributes will be available in the SOAP header
    Every adapter has a defined set of attributes, which are described individually as part of the configuration for each of the adapters. So these attributes would be visible. And better to call it Message Header instead of SOAP header.
    If we check ASMA in the receiver file adapter then receiver file adapter will pick those values from the SOAP header and will assign to the target file.
    Yes, if mapping of these attributes are done.
    Even we can directly set the target file name by accessing the system parameters through UDF.
    Yes

  • Dynamic File Name with PayloadSwapBean

    I’ve  created an abap proxy with a small schema containing PO and PO_Line with an attachment that is a zipped PDF file (.zip).
    I have configured a File adapter with the payloadswapbean to place the attached .zip file in an FTP folder.  Now I need to dynamically name the .zip file using the proxy payload values.
    <PONUM>_ <POLine>.zip
    Variable Substitution takes place after the payload has been swapped so I am not able to use that.  How can I take my proxy XML payload and dynamically create the file name?  I have tried DynamicConfigurationBean but it seems to come back null when trying to read the XI FileName:
    Write http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/XI FileName I have flagged the Adapter Specific Message Attributes for FileName.
    What options do I have?

    Hi George,
    You can use Dynamic Configuration UDF code to set ASMA FileName parameter for FTP in message mapping program. Search SDN for UDF code
    Use the below UDF between source proxy field having filename and target top most node
    try{
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey KEY_FILENAME = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    conf.put(KEY_FILENAME, var1); //var1 from proxy payload field
    catch(Exception e){//Do some action if required}
    return "1";
