E-commerce functionality

please could you let me know whether e-commerce is the standard funtionality of sap business one or is it an add-on.If it is standard funtionality, could you tell how to enable that functionality ?

It is not B1's standard functionality. It is an add-on. Check the thread on top to find out more: Changes to E-Commerce and Web-Based CRM Functionality

  • Commerce functionality

    Hi,
    We need to build a B2C product catalog. I need answers to a couple of the questions listed below:
    1.Is there any inbuilt commerce functionality present in Oracle 9ias Portal?
    2. Is there any third party product available for building a product catalog?
    3. Is oralce iStore the ans. to building the product catalog?
    4. what are the integration issues for integrating oracle iStore with portal?
    Prompt reply would be a great help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Yeah, thats easy enough. There are still a bunch of residual tables in the DB and stuff like that though. It seems that there ought to be some sort of documentation as to how to strip that stuff out.

  • Removing Commerce Functionality from Basic Portal Config

    Is there any documentation as to how to go about removing the commerce, ad and campaign functionality from the Basic Portal Domain Configuration? Or is there an easy way to create a Portal Domain Configuration which does add this in in the first place?

  • When Adobe will develop an e-commerce functionality for Muse?

    Hi!
    I'm a graphic designer for the print and I want to creat a web site without code. Muse is perfect for that but there is no e-commerce option...
    So do u know if Adobe will develop Muse in this Way?
    thank u!!

    Well, given that Muse is ultimately in the "feedback" stages of development, I don't see the change happening at least until this latest 2.0 beta has been finalized, so hopefully within the year. But you can be likely to expect a price change/increase. Otherwise, no official word of any set release date is known of this time.

  • Can't manage admin functions on site using Safari

    I am in the process of working with a developer to add e-commerce functionality to our web site. This has entailed adding an administrative module to manage products, subscriptions, customers, etc. I continue to run into problems which the developer insists are related to my browser (I have also tried Firefox, with no luck). Do I have to buy a PC just to manage my site??

    Yes, I can use any browser on my Mac, but the problem is that many of the functions that are required in the admin module for my site don't work using Safari or Foxfire. My developer claims that everything works perfectly using a Windows based browser. He even insists that he has had success using Foxfire on a Mac. Has anyone else experienced these problems?

  • E-Commerce Product Proposal issue

    Hello, everybody.
    This is a B2C e-Commerce scenario with Students enrolling for courses on a website. The goal is to leverage pre-existing SAP CRM e-Commerce functionality currently in use. But thre's a potential issue that could prevent the adoption of current SAP e-Commerce solution.
    -->Business Issue [PRODUCT PROPOSAL]
    -Catalog Access & Views: Prior to a Student enrolling in Course, there is an Eligibility check that occurs which dictates the number and type of course offered to the Consumer/Student. --> Not all courses within the catalogue must be displayed: Some logic must be carried out in CRM, so that the allowed courses for the student should be passed to the webshop.
    Is there any BAdI / user exit we can implement for solving this issue? eCommerce should pass CRM the logged on BP ID (or the user ID) so that, from this ID on, the logic can be executed in CRM. As inbound parameter, the BAdI / user exit should receive the allowed courses for this students, and display only these courses (instead of the whole catalogue).
    Is there any other way to solve this? (configuration) We have already considered views, but we are afraid we have too many possible scenarios (hundreds?)
    Some backup information:
    -Number of courses: About 300
    -Number of allowed courses per student (logic result): Between 2 and 8
    -The whole courses catalogue is being renovated each year
    -->Business Impact
    -The SAP e-Commerce application offers 2 basic business scenarios/flavors, BC2 and B2B. The  B2B option delivers the Catalog determination option and customized Catalog views per Business Partner. The B2C option makes the entire Catalog available to the Consumer on the Web-shop.
    Besides this, there's an extra requirement:
    -->Business Issue
    -Course Availability Display: In the event that a Student has qualified for a specific course/s, which has limited seats (already assigned), the System should indicate that the Course is exists, but there are no seats available (quantity = 0).
    -->Business Impact
    -Showing the Courses availability as zero in the case where there are not enough available seats needs to be reviewed properly and scoped.
    Thank you all for your cooperation. Best regards.

    Have you checked the Marketing features, Product recommendation, Personalized Recommendation etc.? See if you can use Product Association and ranking to recommend products if you don't want to show the entire catalog..

  • Commerce: adding commerce admin tools

    Hi,
    I am trying to use the commerce functionality in Portal 8.1. I have installed
    the commerce services through workshop and tried migrating the commerce admin
    tools from 7.0. The steps that I have taken are:
    1) create a portal
    2) install Commerce services
    3) install Commerce Tag Libraries
    4) install the catalog administration functionality, as described at http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs81/upgrade/chapter3.html#1052400
    5) build the application
    6) restart the server
    I try to access the commerce admin tools - http://localhost:7001/tools700. portal
    does foind the webapp because it finds the default index.jsp page, but I get the
    exception :

    Thanks Gregory,

  • E-commerce on iWeb?

    Is there an easy way to set up a simple e-commerce function in iWeb, or do you have to use something like PayPal?
    Can you drag or import the PayPal button into the iWeb site, so that the design of the page looks the same as the rest of the site?

  • IWeb and e-commerce

    I have built a website with iWeb '08 that I'm very happy with but I need a second site now that includes e-commerce functionality. Ideally I would like to adapt my existing site to include this but I'm not sure if this is even possible. Can you design an iWeb site to operate as an e-commerce site?
    PS. Here is a link to my existing site.
    Thanks

    In fact there are many people who are using iWeb for ecommerce. It all depends on what your needs are. The use of iframes makes iweb very practical because you can bring in some powerful tools from other servers and services. If php is something you absolutly need, use the service that best fits your need but your customers do not even need to leave your site to access it if you place it in iframe.

  • How to create additional WLS_REPORTS in Weblogic Server 10.3.3

    Hi,
      Below is my configuration:
      Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.3.0
      Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.3.0
      Windows 2008 R2 - in 2 servers
      I am configuring High Availability and Load Balancer on both servers. I have installed WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS in the 1st server, and WLS_FORMS1 and WLS_REPORTS1 in the 2nd server. Also installed ohs, default FORMS & REPORTS servlets in both servers.
      I have tested HA and LB on both server and they are working OK.
    Currently, I have 3 new extra report servlets that I need to installed in the servers. Since I am working on HA and LB, the servlets need to be clustered, like the following:
    1st Server=report_servlet_a1, report_servlet_b1, report_servlet_c1
    2nd Server=report_servlet_a2, report_servlet_b2, report_servlet_c2
    cluster_report_a=report_servlet_a1 and report_servlet_a2
    cluster_report_b=report_servlet_b1 and report_servlet_b2
    cluster_report_c=report_servlet_c1 and report_servlet_c2
    Therefore, the new WLSs will be setup in this way:
    wls_reports_a1 <-report_servlet_a1 in 1st Server
    wls_reports_a2 <-report_servlet_a2 in  2nd Server
    wls_reports_b1 <-report_servlet_b1  in 1st Server
    wls_reports_b2 <-report_servlet_b2  in 2nd Server
    wls_reports_c1 <-report_servlet_c1  in 1st Server
    wls_reports_c2 <-report_servlet_c2  in 2nd Server
    Kindly provide steps and/or notes how to perform the above. Thank you in advance!

  • Product not appearing in the catalog

    Hi, I am new user of Business Catalyst.  We use the e-commerce function to sell publications through our website and I have been trying to upload new products to our site and publish them in a particular catalog (actually the only catalog we have). This was all set up by another user and so I am coming to it already set up and functioning (theoretically).  I have set up my new items and they appear in the product list. I have moved the catalog from left to right in the catalogs section. The products are "enabled". Am I missing a step?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    From a set type you can assign a Product type from the maintain set type only. And for the error just check with the Basis People whether the system is under going any SP upgrades or not.
    I am able to create a Set Type using the specific product type. When I am trying to save the same not assigning product type it is giving me the error 'Not Possible to save the set type without attribute'.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Scalability of Business Catalyst for non public domain use.

    I have a client looking for a CMS setup that would be more like an intranet than a website, but it seems that all levels of subscription for BC have no more than 10 users as a limit. Is there a version that would allow significantly more? The traffic to said site would not be public domain available, a sign in would be necessary for all users.  Also, there would need to be fairly robust security and e-commerce functionality, are both possible? We are looking at as many as 2000 users to start, with more possible as the business model progresses. Also needs the ability to integrate video without embedding youtube or vimeo videos, it would need to be served from the same server as the site for security reasons. Need as much info as possible in this regard.

    You could build a website with 2,000 frontend users. The 10 users as part of the plan are users for the backend. IE: Users who can see statistics, edit the site, etc. .
    It sounds like secure zones are what you are looking for. You could make your entire site a secure zone and have a person login via username and password.
    BC can also handle video without issue (though the video files must be less than 100mb in size.)  I will mention that Vimeo and other services have paid plans that allow you to lock a video so it is only viewable at a specified location and not to the public.
    Ecommerce BC handles without issue. As for "robust security" what do you consider robust security. I consider BC very secure and is part of the reason I use BC.

  • Creating multiple userid's?

    I'm creating a site for someone's business and they would like restricted access to 'member' content. This would then require the issuance of many userid's. Anyone know how this can be done with iWeb. I know I can create a userid for a site but don't see anything beyond that. I don't want to get into workarounds requiring a site per user of something high overhead like that.

    I've looked around quite a bit and am astounded that iWeb has no way to create multiple id's and password's. All because of that, I'm looking at making the job to Dreamweaver combined with WebAssist. That's overkill, but if I'm going to make the jump I want to investment to carry me for years to come. iWeb does not seem to provide:
    - multiple id's and passwords
    - functionality with the id's and passwords to include expiration, ways to deal with forgotten passwords (email, etc.)
    - ways to protect just certain web pages without a kludge
    - anything for commerce functionality such as carts and credit card payment
    I really just want a simple site that has lots of content that I will provide, and then only allow paid subscribers to get to premium content. I also need to ensure that once a subscription is purchased that the userid and password are only valide for the time period of the subscription (ie, if they pay for a year, then the uid and pw are only good for a year. the user needs however the ability to change the password).
    Are there any frameworks out there with or without iWeb to do this? I'm hating the thought of having to learn Dreamweaver with WebAssist just to get functionality like this.

  • Is Internet Sales (R/3) without CRM still viable?

    Is Internet Sales for R/3 without mySAP CRM still a viable solution?  I am finding several posts and notes related to Internet Sales outside of CRM, but most of this information is at least one year old.
    I am trying to research if SAP still offers a e-commerce platform solution for ECC outside of CRM.  We are not ready to tackle CRM yet, but would like to avoid writing all e-Commerce functions from scratch if possible.
    If Internet Sales is still an active product, could someone give me links to technical information like the master guide or install guides?
    Your help is greatly appreciated (and points will be given).

    the product is renamed to ECO and it is still possible to run the ECO against R/3 Backend. I am involved in severeal ECO 5.0 project against R/3. Maybe you should look for 'SAP E-Commerce for mySAP ERP'. Please check out the SAP Note 817119 and 842049.
