E mail frozen screen, how I fix it?

E mail screen is frozen. Can't move within mail section
What can I do?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot

When I am on my home wifi I can send e-mail.  When I am not on my home e-mail but on a wifi network or using the 3g network I cannot send e-mail.  HELP HOW TO FIX.

    I know this question is a few years old now, but I recently found myself having the exact same issues;
Using my iphone or ipad at home created no problems at all, but I couldn't send e mails when away from my home network.
I recently switched broadband supplier at home and set up a new e mail address, then my problems began!
I openly admit I'm not great with technology and, to be honest, some of the answers provided on these forums confuse me more than the questions!
    But this worked for me:
I went along the lines that the fault wasn't with my idevice but possibly with the broadband provider (in my case Plusnet) so I contacted their customer support.
    They referred me to the set up process shown below;
From your home screen press Settings.
From the setting menu, choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars followed by Add Account…
From the Add Account… menu choose Other.
Fill in your Full Name, Email Address, Password and Description and press Next.If you need help with these, there's more detail underneath the screenshot.
Full name: Enter your name (or the name you'd like people to see when you send them email)
Email Address: Enter the address you're setting up, this could be a Plusnet address ([email protected]) or a hosted domain address ([email protected])
Password: Enter the password for your email address (I don't know what this is)
Description: Enter a useful description of the email address you're setting up (e.g. Mum's email). You can put whatever you want here
    Press Next to continue.
More settings will appear. Some will already be filled in.Enter the Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server details and press Next. If you need help with these, there's more detail underneath the screenshot.
IMAP/POP This will default to IMAP - it's up to you which one you want to use (I don't know what to choose)
    Incoming Mail Server settings
Host Name: For IMAP this is imap.plus.net - for POP, this is mail.plus.net
User Name & Password: Enter the username and password for the email address you're setting up (I don't know what these are)
    Outgoing Mail Server settings
    Host Name: relay.plus.net
User Name & Password: These are optional, but if you want to send mail while on the move (e.g. while connected to mobile or wireless networks), we recommend filling these in.Enter the username and password for the email address you're setting up (I don't know what these are)
    When you're finished, press Next.
If the box shown below appears, press Yes (you may need to do this twice).
After a minute or two, your email address will be set up and ready to use.If you chose IMAP when setting up you’ll be able to choose whether you want to use Notes (if you chose POP you’ll be taken back to the settings screen from step 2). Press Save when you’re done.
That's all you need to do. To start checking your email, go back to your home screen and press Mail.
Now I fully understand that it may be different for each broadband provider but the processes must be similar.
The key appears to be in setting up the outgoing message server settings in step 5. Where it says "optional, but if you want to send mail while on the move (e.g. while connected to mobile or wireless networks), we recommend filling these in.
    http://www.plus.net/support/email/setup/ios-setup.shtml#pagetop
Where it says "we recommend" I think it should read "you must fill these in"
I went back to Settings - Mail,Contacts, Calenders - click on the offending account and click on the account shown.
Under OUTGOING MAIL SERVER click on the server, in my case relay.plus.net, and click again to show the details. make sure you enter your user name and password and after a few seconds the account will verify and show a load of ticks.
I tried this on my phone this morning while on 3G only. I sent an email to another of my addresses and immediately got the response that the message couldn't be sent as the recipient was rejected and the message had been placed in my Outbox. I followed the above steps and immediately heard the satisfying "whoosh" as my mail was sent. 10 seconds later another satisying beep as my e mail arrived at my alternate account.
Hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.

I broke my ipad screen how i fix my screen

Further on Option 3, this can often be a good choice for older iPads, iPads out of warranty, or if you are looking for a cheaper option than Apple is offering.
Many communities have local repair shops who can fix broken iPad screens.  Try Yelp or another local search tool.
You can also try a variety of National Mail In repair companies who specialize in iPad Repair such as RepairZoom:  http://www.repairzoom.com/ipad-repair.html
Always check online reviews and BBB ratings before sending your iPad off for repair!

  • HT1270 cracked screen how to fix please?

Hi,  first timer here,  I dropped my book on the floor and cracked the screen, everything works well, it's just really annoying. is it worht fixing and how much is it?
    thank you
    2m2

No one from Apple here, nor can we get a look at your screen, so your best bet would be to take your machine to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them look at the machine and give you an estimate for repair.
At that time you'll be able to determine if it's worth it to you to have the screen repaired.

  • OLMRLIST screen how to fix the cost center tab and its impact?

    Hi
Explain the function of the T-Code OLMRLIST.
How does it interact with the MIRO T-Code?
What is the significance of a field check box being checked in OLMRLIST. I particularly want to know about the Cost center field.
    Raja

OLMRLIST is used to adjust teh screen variant for the MIRO screen. At the line item level you see layouts and each layout has a set of fields in the form of columns. These are adjusted via the screen layout variants in OLMRLIST like 7_6310 which is all information and like wise you have 6_6310, etc...

  • Dim/Dark Screen, How to fix it?

I own a Black 3G iPhone that has recently suffered from water damage. I had fixed it from the water damage a day after it had dropped into the toilet (the toilet was clean thank god) but a series of other problems had occurred after fixing it up. Such as harder to press Home Button, some problems regarding its performance, but nothing as worse as having a Dim/Dark Screen.
I had used it one night from texting and calling people to leave it in my charger cradle for the rest of the night. But that morning I had awoken to my phone being a dim/dark screen. I've tried adjusting the brightness meter but it still was dim. I tried blocking the proximity sensor and the ambient sensor with my finger to see if anything would happen but nothing happened. I opened the phone and gave it a yonder and everything was securely in and dry.
I had already restored it, restarted it, what else could I do to preserve me from going to the apple store.

Nowadays with all the chips/circuitry so embedded into single chip sets and boards a problem in one area will effect the unit as a whole and is unfixable other than to replace the whole board unfortunately but welcome to the disposable generation is one of the downsides of downsizing (pun intended) electrical equipment. you could try to find a repair centre to look at it but it sounds like you have multiple failures over multiple portions of the elec board and i would say by the time you had replaced all the damaged components the total cost with labour and all would be far and above the cost of a new phone sorry but i reckon unless you can live with the issues (which will probably get worse over time as more components are affected) i would suggest looking at buying a new one

  • Cracked screen - how to fix

My Ipod was was stepped on and it looks like the LCD screen has cracked. It is partially black. Does anyone know if just the screen can be replaced and what the cost is? It was purchased Dec 2004. I am not sure if it has any extra warrenties
you can also email me at [email protected] is you have any advice.
    Thanks

    Diane,
The AppleCare warranty does not cover accidental dmage, as you described. If you have a 3rd party warranty, some of them cover this situation - you should check to be sure. Apple will not repair this damage, and you should check out a 3rd party iPod repair service, www.ipodresq.com, for example.

  • Nike+ upgrade = black screen HOW I FIXED IT

Since Friday (the day of Nike+ announced upgrade) I have only been able to get black screen when I go there. (Using Windows XP). Today my son's Mac logged in with no problem. So, I went to Tools>Internet options and cleared cookies, files (including off line files) and changed days of history to keep to 0. Then clicked "apply" and restarted. After this, I went to Nike+ and it opened right up. ALso, I had partitioned my hard drive for my husband to have his own area, and I had to go in and do this for that section too, so he would be able to access Nike+ without getting black screen also. Hope this helps for others having this problem.

  • There is a blue/black/mostly white band on the right side of my screen, how to fix

Wondering why this band suddenly appeared and how to get rid of it

As it could possibly be a hardware/graphics subsystem problem or the display itself (e.g. flex cable connection), you had best have it physically examined by an authorized service center or a Genius Bar Tech at an Apple Store. Software generally doesn't produce such symptoms if it also visible during an independent boot to a recovery disc or partition.

  • HHola I update my Apple TV and I am frozen screen with the photo of Apple TV and iTunes symbol and a cable connected from one to another device, it happens and how to fix it Apple TV

HHola I update my Apple TV and I am frozen screen with the photo of Apple TV and iTunes symbol and a cable connected from one to another device, it happens and how to fix it Apple TV

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

  • My ipod screen is frozen with yellow and grey on the screen how do i fix it???

I was listening to music and on facebook and all of a sudden my ipod went black and then got frozen on a yellow and grey screen and i have no clue what happened.  This was a replaced ipod and now it isnt working the screen is staying on and it wont turn off. Any suggestions on how to fix this PLEASE feel free to answer. And if i connect it to the computer it does nothing, or when i press the lock or home button it just stays frozen. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!

Let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try here:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
If not successful or the same screen reappers that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
