E350IA-E45 broken down within a month

Brrr.... within a month I had to send back my E350IA-E45. It has completly broke down (no post)
Does someone else has same experience?
Configuration:
PSU: Be-Quiet Pure Power L7 300W
Mem: Kingston ValueRam 4 GB, PC3-8500, 1066 MHz, 7, Non-ECC, Single (compatible according MSI-site)

Mmm BeQuiet PSU are not that bad nowadays
They are FSP based, and mine do run very silently. But sure it is a group regulated unit. Pure power units are budget-oriented...but for the price they cost, really not that bad. Worst than CX400, equivalent to CX430 I would say.
I had a Corsair TX650 (first one, seasonic based) that died after ~1 1/2 year, get a replacement, the second one worked fine for ~3 months and then started exhibiting so much ripple that I was no longer able to use my computer. But this time no warranty possible, because I replaced the fan (what a mistake).
In the same time I have an Antec Nepower 650 Blue (seasonic based), still working fine, and a Seasonic M12 700W, much electronic noise now after ~3 years.

DURING THE LAST THREE MONTH THEY BOTH PACKED IN. NO MORE LIGHT INDICATOR, NO MORE POWER SUPPLY?
I HAVE TRIED TO CHANGE THE PLUGS, SOFT RESET, HARD RESET, AND MOST THINGS INDICATED IN THIS FORUM.
IT JUST BUGS ME, AS THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT AN AIRPORT EXPRESS HAS BROKEN DOWN.
    CAN ANYBODY ADVICE?

  • E350IA-E45 Problems

So I got a E350IA-E45 a few months ago, ran perfectly for a few weeks and then started to blue screen and refused to post.  I thought it was a power supply issue as the one that came with the case was total garbage.  Replaced the power supply and it ran OK for an hour or two then crashed again.  So now I was thinking ram and left it sit for a while not wanting to deal with the headache.
Came back to it a few days ago, ran a mem test and everything came back OK.
Tried resetting the bios via the jumper, formating the HD and OS.  So far no real luck.
The biggest problem is sometimes the computer will boot and let me run things for a little while then crashes and refuses to post.  If I leave it sit for a while, sometimes it will post, others no.  I thought it may be heat related, but the highest temp I was able to record was only 63c on the CPU.  I have tried playing with the USB settings as I read in other posts, as well as turning town the RAM speed.  Nothing seems to work.  The times it crashes the most seems to be when playing or streaming video.  I've tried about 5 diffrent versions of drivers as well and really don't know what to try next.  Can anyone give me any ideas?

So I was able to try the new cable last night, even tried hooking directly to TV instead of through the receiver.  Computer booted to windows, but as soon as it was done loading... blue screen followed by a refusal to post.  When I was able to get a post, checked temps and highest it got was 54c in bios.  Booted to windows with a VGA monitor and started temp monitoring, everything stayed around there.  So I started streaming some HD off of Netflix, again so far so good.  Decided to leave it over night with a temp log running to see how warm it got.  Came back this morning, computer would not wake from suspend and a hard reboot resulted in failure to post.
So apparently the problem is not localized to just HDMI as I had originally thought.  Waiting a few to see if I can get it to boot and find out how warm it got before going to sleep last night.

  • [MSI E350IS-E45] Problem with DVD drive

    Hello my friends.
I just bought this little board to make a HTPC for my daddy and Im getting a hard time with it.
I installed everything fine and installed windows 7, via USB flashdrive and when i rebooted I tried to put the CD with drivers to finish installation, but whenever i put any cd inside this drive the computer boots.
If I start the computer with CD inside the drive, it will just hang with a 98 error code down and just wont start the windows.
The computer have the following parts:
    - Spire PowerCube 300w (http://www.spirecoolers.com/main/product_detail.asp?ProdID=826)
    - MSI E350IS-E45
    - 2x2gb OCZ SIGNATURE DDR3 1333MHZ, configured as 1066mhz.
    - 1x OCZ AGILITY 60GB SSD
I tried change the sata cable from one place to another. This psu is very good and have enough power to this setup, this psu was tested with a core i3 system (wich by the way consumes way more power than this HUDSON guy).
Please, dont lie to me... Im on this busines for almos 2 decades and I know that there is something very odd happening here, I just downloaded a new bios version and will try to do a bios update later when i get home to see if this problem is solved.
    Thanx in advance!

First of all, I would redo the cooler paste.
It's my experience that the installed thermal-pads are no good.
I have the E350IA-E45 myself and I removed the pads and the temperature dropped significantly.
I informed MSI about this and they are currently retesting the cooling solution, removing the pads for grease can lower temps as much as 10C!! (or more)...
As for the PSU, my system with 4! 1TB harddisks and full load hardly uses more then 55W tops, that PSU should not be a problem.
However, do consider the drive can be faileing, OR the drive is bootable and crashes before Windows can start.
I have noticed that our Forum-flasher crashes too with exactly the same symptom.
Anyway, what do you mean the computer boots if you put a CD in? Is that after or before Windows is loaded?
Because before it can mean the CD is bootable, if it's after Windows is loaded it probably means the drive is bad.
In any case, do check the thermal pad under the cooler, see in the BIOS how hot the CPU is.

  • Gpu core clock low msi e350ia-e45

I'm been running into a problem while bitcoin mining.
I noticed that when I moved my MSI e350ia-e45 setup into my computer room that the Mhash/s starts off at 11.2 then drops to 4.3 after a couple of minutes.
The previous room was about 66F ambient temps, the new room is about 75F.
I downloaded msi afterburner and noticed that when my Mhash/s drops, my gpu core clock speed drops to 200mhz from 492mhz.
This happens when the gpu hits 60c-61c.
I was running catalyst 11.6 and then tried 11.7 with the same problem still.
I've upgraded the bios to the latest 1.5 and still no fix.
I've tried disabling cool n quiet in the bios.
    I upgraded my case cooling.
I added thermal paste(which is why it changes in minutes rather than seconds now).
    Still no luck.
This is a little bit of a let down as I also own a C-50 based netbook that does not exhibit this behavior.  It will happily run at the 278mhz gpu core clockspeed past 80c.
The e350 is rated up to 90c so why would it underclock the gpu at 61c?
My friend has an asus e350 board and in my room it doesn't underclock the gpu.  His runs at a steady 78c in here.
I can only think that it is a bios issue.
    Any idea's?

I moved it back to the other room with the lower temps and the issues vanished.  Too bad it can't stay in that room(the ethernet connection to that room travels through the outside and is prone to killing switches/routers/ethernet cards during lightning storms.
I guess it's not much of an issue,  but the whole reason for buying an e350 was the higher gpu clock rate compared to the c-50.  It's kind of pointless if the gpu drops down to 200mhz when slightly heated.  It makes my c-50 netbook much faster than the msi e350 motherboard.
I love the  motherboard, and all it's features,  except for the clock problem.
I'm still hoping it's a software issue and not a bios issue.
I'll try installing an even earlier version of catalyst.
I will be installing linux to see if the problems persist.

  • MSI E350IA-E45 Entering Bios

After having pressed the Del key during booting up -  the computer hangs with "Entering Setup" shown in the bottom left of the screen.
    * The problem was orignally found with the 1.0 version of the Bios but remains after upgrading to 1.5. With both versions the Bios was cleared with by switching the JBAT connector.
    * Memcheck86 has been executed and reports no error.
    * Attempts have been made with the SSD and BR drives detached with no joy
    Setup is as follows:
    1     MSI E350IA-E45, AMD E-350
                           Mini-ITX, Hudson M1, DDR3, 1xPCIe(2.0)x16, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, VGA,
                           HDMI
    1     Crucial DDR3 1066MHz 4GB KIT, CL7,
                           Kit w/two matched DDR3 2GB, 240pin
    1     Corsair SSD Nova Series™ V32, 32GB
                           SATA2, 2,5", 195MB/70MB/s read/write, incl 2,5" to 3,5" bracket
    1     Lite-On DVD±RW/Blu-Ray Reader, IHOS104
                           SATA, 4x BD-ROM Read, DVD±R: 12x, DVD±RW: 8x, Bulk, BLACK
    1     Ace Polly Mini-ITX Svart

                           Audio

Well, Ace is way down in the quality lists. The Ace was bought from Komplett in Sweden, would I gissa. But it is not sold any longer, likely because the quality simply was too poor:
http://www.aceofsweden.com/ace/case/mini-itx.html Apparently only around for a single year.

    Hi,
I want to update and add music to my iphone 4S but my iphone 4S is synced to a computer that has recently broken down....
I have another computer with an itunes library but when i attach the iphone 4S via USB the itunes library doesnt pick it up as a device and so i am unable to add anything to it......
How do i unsync my phone from the computer that is broken and re-sync it to the computer that is working?
is it even possible to do that????!!
I am not worried about backing up etc because i saved all my purchased songs to an external hard drive.
    I really appreciate your help!

You may be able to extract the hard drive from the broken computer, mount it in an external drive bay and recover the library from it. Otherwise see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • AFter five years of problem free use, my mixer pots have suddenly developed a case of the jitters -- that is they jiggle up and down within just a tiny range, sometimes one pot, sometimes several, no perceivable pattern, and can't move them up or down.

After five years of problem free usage, my Logic Pro mixer pots have suddenly come down with palsy -- that is, jiggle up and down within a tiny range  -- sometimes one, sometimes several, etc., no pattern that I've been able to grok. And any pot that is jiggling can't be moved up or down. I tried circumventing my 828 converter and coming straight out of my desktop iMac OS X, but that didn't help. I also moved a Logic midi file over to my laptop, and when I played it on Logic the jitters were there too. Anyone ever develop this bug, and if so, do you have a fix? Could it be a corrupted program?
    David Shire  [email protected]

Have you recently used any midi controller with Logic.. such as a hardware controller or even an iPad app.
If you used an iOS app, power down (Not just put to sleep) your iOS device and see what happens.. If that fixes it you are running an iOS controler in the background and so you will need to close it..
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
Failing that, quit Logic and trash the Control Surface pref file.... restart Logic and see if that cures it..
In the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder from the menu.
Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
    Press the Go button.
Delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.

    Hullo sir,
I'm Facing Black catridge problem within 2 months of purchase HP laserjet p1108 by printing 300 pages. The printer window shows you have to print pages < 50.what cani do?

    Hi @thangaraj,
I see by your post that you have only printed 300 pages and it is now it is showing you have less the 50 pages left.
I would like to help you resolve this issue.
Is this the original toner that shipped with the printer?
You should get approximately 1500 pages according to the specifications for what ships in the box.
The page count is based on page yield. Depending on what you were printing.
Still I believe you should have gotten more then 350 pages, unless you were printing full page pictures in black and white.

  • Serviced 4x within 5 Months: Can I Get a New Machine Replacement?

After much consideration, I made the PC to Mac switch, and bought my first laptop and Mac product: a iBook G4 from macmall.com, in late December 2005, right before leaving for a spring semester abroad.
In about a month, I had my HD replaced under the standard 1-year guarantee, at the local service center (France).
About a month after that, my airport card stopped working.
When I got it back, I took it home and found a blue screen. I took it back and they said that there was another problem, likely something with the motherboard. That was fixed.
A few weeks ago, I had another problem where my computer would only start up to the blue screen again. I still don't know what it was (in service currently) but it is a hardware problem, and the 3rd "major" problem (apparently Apple doesn't consider airport a considerable problem).
Losing information from the HD failure and having to get my computer serviced 4 times within 5 months has been very frustrating and disappointing. While abroad, my computer was supposed to play a central role: allow me to do work (for my classes, to apply for internships/scholarships) and very important personal support (maintain personal contact with friends/family, photos, music).
Although my iBook will be repaired by the time I return home to CA in 3 weeks, I want to ask Apple for a replacement machine.
I feel a mix of suspicion about the competency of the authorized Apple Service Center and loss of faith in my machine.
--> Do I have a case, especially given that my iBook will likely be working by the time I call in about 3 weeks (I'm still in France and thought it'd be a headache to try to get a replacement abroad)?
I also want the replacement to be a macbook.
Given that I had what I consider the most aggravating problem in the first month or so, a hard drive failure where I lost all the valuable data I brought for use/support while abroad, I wanted to argue that I get the equivalent of the product I bought when my ibook went awry. I see the macbook as the equivalent of the ibook.
--> Do I have an argument? Or is it unlikely that I can get a macbook for my ibook, considering they probably want to get rid of all remaining ibooks in stock?
Also, how likely is it that Apple will propose to refund the amount I paid for my computer (which I don't want), given that..
    - I ordered through macmall.com?
    - I paid 994 dollars for my ibook, and the macbook is 1,099?
Basically, I would appreciate insights on how realistic my desire to ask for a macbook replacement for my ibook is, given my situation.
Thank you in advance! I hope to call around July 10th!
P.S. If they agree to give me a macbook, would it be possible for me to ask to pay a little extra for a Superdrive?
Or pay the difference for even a Black macbook? Or do you think I could make a case for a Black macbook to replace my iBook?
iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.2) 512mb extra ram added when initially ordered from macmall.com

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
If you get a perfectly working iBook back this time, I don't think you'd have any basis to ask for a complete replacement. Why would they replace a working computer?
However, if I were you, I would call Apple Customer Relations and let them know that if something breaks again, you will be expecting a replacement computer. Be friendly and firm with them. Be prepared with the dates and details of the previous repairs (parts that were replaced, people you talked to on the phone and the length of time you were without your iBook). See what they have to say about that.
If they do agree to replace your computer if it breaks again, there's no guarantee they'll replace your iBook with a MacBook. Those details will have to be worked-out with your Apple Customer Relations contact. (In the U.S., you have to call AppleCare Support, ask to talk to an operator and then ask the operator to connect you to Apple Customer Relations.)

  • Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example signatures tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example: signatures at the bottom of the mail tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

It worked for me. I took a picture with the iPhone's camera. Then opened the Photos app and selected the picture, and emailed it from one of my IMAP accounts to my gmail (also IMAP) account. When it showed up in the gmail inbox (on my iPhone), I forwarded it to my yahoo mail account (choosing the "inlcude attachments" option). When that showed up on my iPhone's yahoo inbox, the picture was there just as it should be.
So I guess the next thing would be to try it with non-iPhone pictures to see if it is a problem with image size or something. I have some 6-megapixel images in iPhoto I can try (taken as RAW/DEC format pictures with my dSLR).
Just tried it sending a Photo from my computer's iPhoto library - picture is 728KB, 2272x1704 jpeg. I emailed it to my gmail account, and it showed up on the iPhone just fine. Then I forwarded that to my yahoo account and again, it showed up just fine on both the iPhone and reading my yahoo mail via the web page.
Don't know what to say - I don't mean this to be just another "works for me" post. I was hoping to see something maybe depending on the size and origin of the picture.
By the way, my 3GS shipped with 3.0.1 on it, and I've updated it via iTunes normally to 3.1.1 and currently 3.1.2. Sorry I don't have anything constructive to add.

  • Computer Broken Down Due to Skype?

So I’ve been having problems with my internet and computer for some time now, and I believe it was ever since the beginning of the year. I heard there was some sort of virus at that time. Recently, our computer had suddenly broken down and wouldn’t allow us to even start it up. I’ve been accused for being the cause of this just because I mentioned the Skype virus and for the excessive use of Skype on my phone. Is this the problem or is it something completely unrelated?

In addition, many people still use too much thermal paste and this can actually prohibit adequate heat sinking (it becomes almost an insulator!). The purpose of thermal paste is only to fill in the microscopic "valleys" on the surface of the CPU and HS metal (even the most mirror polished finish looks like peaks and valleys when viewed under magnification). So use Arctic Silver putting only a small rice grain or BB sized portion on the CPU and spread with a finger wrapped in plastic wrap (to prevent finger prints). Before adding paste clean off the old using thermal paste remover and clarifier solutions, available at Newegg.com or elsewhere. Do not get finger prints on the metal surfaces.  X-((Spread the paste across the entire surface of the CPU- it doesn't have to perfectly even.
    I hope these ideas help.
    ^^^^
I use an old credit card and cut a piece off about 1/4 wide to spread the thermal paste on the CPU die, but I do use your method (plastic over finger) to "tint" the heatsink.
