Check your phone software is up to date, if it is then you will have to wait for the next update and hope this solves the problem.

  • Deblocking phone with bluetooth carkit

When using the E5 with the paired Toyota bluetooth carkit, it fails to deblock itself. Answering calls is not a problem as the E5 auto-deblocks upon receiving a call, but dailing via the carkit does not lift the block. As a result, I must first deblock it manually by entering the deblocking code which only solves the problem for a few minutes. Disabling auto-deblocking is not an option, as it would make the data on the phone vulnerable in case the phone would be lost/stolen. (This is about the code-block and not about the unprotected keypad block.) I have succesfully used HTC's and older Nokia's on the same carkit without this problem arising. Does anyone know how to arrange an auto-deblock when a bluetooth-paired device is being used like a carkit?

  • 6233 with bluetooth carkit

I have a 6233, I can get the phone paired to the bluetooth carkit no problem, however, apart from the Answer / call button on the carkit answering or ending the call, I cannot get any speech through it.
Do I need to tell the phone to use bluetooth for a carkit connection? I can't find anything about carkits in the phone manual at all.
    Any help appreciated.

  • BB Q10 with Bluetooth Carkit from Citroen DS 4

I've bought a Q10 and I'm having problems in pairing it with Bluetooth from my car. I already went to car dealer and asked if this phone is supported by car software and the answer was affirmative.
The questions is that the pairing doesn't work properly. It will pair but functions related with phoning are not working.
Making calls or receive it is impossible. But what is more strange is that car and phone make the connection.
    can anybody help?

  • Use E71 as a bluetooth handset

    Hello everybody,
is it possible to use the E71 as a bluetooth handset for the PC? I'd like to use it to answer VoIP calls coming through the PC (GTalk, Empathy etc..).
FWIW, I use Ubuntu 10.10, bluetooth is correctly configured (I can see the phone and transfer files from/to it) but I don't see it as a handset, so I cannot choose it as a device for PulseAudio.
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrea

I didn't have any luck with JoikuSpot.  My laptop detected the wireless network and went through the motions of connecting but nothing more happened.  I tried disabling encryption but no luck there.  I tried all of my Internet connections on my e71.  My setting seem to have an odd IP address for the gateway IP address (its the IP address of my home network gateway - not my wireless broadband - which I don't know).  I thought that this was set automatically by DHCP.
I'm not sure about the security of this setup - with WEP and no access restrictions.  Even if I got it working it would be a "last resort" rather than something I'd use a lot.  I don't like the idea of sharing my precious wireless plan with half an airport.
I'd really like to get a solution for the bluetooth problem.

  • OVI Maps and bluetooth carkit at the same time

I tried to use OVI Maps on my Nokia 5800.
If my bluetooth carkit is connected, I don't have audible route descriptions. As soon as the carkit is disconnected, I can hear the driving instructions again.
Is it possible to use navigation using OVI Maps and a bluetooth carkit at the same time?
    Erik

    @ErikdePotter
    Welcome to the forum!
This was possible if you used Nokia CK-300 carkit (now discontinued) which had dedicated CarMenu application installed upon device:http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-ck-300/application-software as option to route "All audio events" via car speakers!

  • 6233 quiet volume on CK-1w bluetooth carkit compar...

Just got a 6233 from Orange on the understanding it will work with no problem with my existing bluetooth carkit CK-1W, it pairs no probs and does work but the volume even at the highest level is barely audible. My current 6230i only needs to be on level 3 or 4 to enable a conversation with no problems at 80mph on the motorway. The 6233 on full volume was almost impossible to hear the other person. Also tried it with an old pop port personal handsfree headphone and it was quiet with that too.
Anyone got any ideas, have I got a dud phone or is it a know problem.
Any help will be most greatfully received.
    Thanks in anticipation

I also have a CK 7-W fitted to an Audi S4 and have real problems with crackles and volume. I first thought that it was connections as I noticed it would cut out as I went over bumps in the road whilst I was on the phone, or when I turned the volume control ... so I had the fitters check the connections on the back of the sound system.
My problem is that it crackles most of the time the volume **bleep** seemed to cutout the volume if I turned it, but now the volume has dropped to "very quiet" and I can hardly hear the caller. The volume **bleep** now has no effect. May as well not have the kit there! I had the hard wired THBBury car kit fitted by Chameleon on my previous cars. It's a bit chunkier than the CK and you have to wait a few months for the dedicated holder each time a new phone model comes out, but it worked a dream.

  • Motorola Bluetooth Carkit.HELP!!!!!!

I just bought a car that is a couple of years old and has a motorola bluetooth carkit in it. I have a Nokia 6230. I have no idea how to work the two of them. Please someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

The plugin, as noted, is available from here:
    http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php?fm=m&ff=1008&fi=891417
To make the RIZR sync with the Address Book, you need to go to your user folder's /Library/ folder.
Inside that folder, create a folder called
PhonePlugins (if it doesn't already exist)
Drop the plugin (MOTZ3.phoneplugin) into the folder.
I think a restart is necessary for the plugin to be recognized.
When you're back up and running, ensure that:
    (a) BlueTooth is ON (you can check in System Preferences-->Bluetooth. Also, while you're here, it's a good idea to check the box that shows the status of BlueTooth in the menu-bar, for quick access)
    (b) DO NOT have Bluetooth File Exchange running when attempting to sync (i.e., don't select Browse Device from the Bluetooth menu)
    (c) Open iSync and Add Device. It may take a moment, but iSync should recognize the Z3, and offer you various options.
    Sync away!
    Mark.

  • E71 windows 7 bluetooth "Cannot authenticate the p...

I am using 7.1.51.0 Nokia PC Suite on Windows 7. I have Nokia e71-2. I have latest software on device (410.21.010) using Nokia ovi Suite (2.2.0.245).
Under Device manager->Bluetooth Radios, I have following Drivers versions installed:
Micorsoft Bluetooth Enumerator from Microsoft: 6.1.7600.16385
HP Integerated module with Bluetooth Wireless 2.1Technology from Broadcom: 6.2.0.9000
Using PC Suite when I try to connect to bluetooth, it supplies the pairing code. I hit OK and then enter the pairing code on e71. The pairing seems successsful and I can see my "tjsingh-mobl" laptop on e71 under Menu->Connectivity->Bluetooth->"Paired Devices". I set it as authorized device. However after some time PC Suite tells me that "Cannot authenticate the phone".
I have searched the forum and have failed to find any solution.
I tried the following also but didn't help. There is no "Service Controllers" app on my e71.
Menu > Applications > App. mgr. > Installed apps. > uninstall 'Service Controllers' and 'Contacts Groups DS Plugin' applications.
    /t5/PC-and-Mac-Software/PC-Suite-Vista-x64-and-N78-FAIL/m-p/401633/highlight/true#M31457
    Can anyone help?

I had this problem too, but the phone got recognized at last after the  latest OVI Suite upgrade. Somehow it must have installed some  drivers which allowed win7 to recognize and autenticate the phone

  • Bluetooth carkit

i I have upfated to ISO8.02 and now when I fail out in either of my cars it doesn't go through to my carkit even though it was connected prior and while I'm dialing out is there a problem with the Bluetooth

I agree this can be done, i have installed lots of kits into all audi cars many times. If your A6 allroad is the newest shape A6 then you will need the harness that connects to the amplifier in the boot, if you A6 is a few years old then it can be done at the rear of the radio.

  • E71.. Bluetooth troubles..

I recently Upgraded my new-ish E71 from firware v300.xxx to v500.xxx and I'm not sure If it was there before but now when I go into bluetooth theres no paired devices list so I can set my computer 'as authorised' so it can sync easily.. I tried pressing right when in the bluetooth menu.. im really stumped her :/ i used to have an N97 and I hacked it myself so I've got experience with Nokia phones and am pro at computers so no need to keep it simple Thanks for your help.

Maybe you simply need to re-pair the devices after the update? After pairing you then can set to authorized...

  • E71 - handling WiFi & Bluetooth simultaneously

Is there any known problem for E71 to handle WiFi & Bluetooth connections simultaneously??
I see my E71 periodically switching off the Bluetooth connection and reconnecting again.
In time, I use push mail using EMOZE software (superb) via HSDPA or WiFi if available.
Any tip is more than welcomed.

What a pain. I now have to choose between connecting to my wifi or my bluetooth cordless home phone. There are some serious issues here that Verizon should address.

    Hello,
I'm confused. It pairs OK, but just doesn't work after pairing? Or it doesn't successfully pair? I can't quite tell from your post...
With my Z10, I know that I had strange results on a 2013 Honda BT car kit at first. It seemed to pair OK, but the car-kit menu items seemed to act oddly. But after rebooting the BB and restarting the car once or twice, things started to function normally.
    Thanks and let us know!
