E71 Lost some Data

Is there a way I can restore my phone to an earlier date? Something happened three days ago and I lost me email settings, My recent contact entries, All of my text messages and my calendar entries. I would like to restore my phone to sometime last week. Thanks for the help.

@Homesbyrick
Whereas on more recent devices you can set to regularly backup automatically to memory card this is not a feature of your E71, so unless you had say backed up content using OVI Suite on PC data is lost unfortunately.

  • Restore steps if lost some data files?

    I lost some data files in database and I am not sure what datafiles are. But one think sure is the control and redo log files are here. For this case, I don't have to restore contronl files and archivelog files. Please correct me if my idea is wrong.
    Steps as follows:
    ===========
    restore database;
    recover database;
    alter database open;
    Please advice if the steps are wrong.

    Hi user623471!
    Yes you don't have to restore control, redo log and archive log files in the case that they are not lost. To find out which datafiles are lost do the following steps:
    <pre>
    sqlplus / as sysdba
    --Make a checkpoint
    ALTER SYSTEM CHECKPOINT;
    --query v$recover_file to see which files need recovery
    SELECT file#, error, online_status, change#, time
    FROM v$recover_file;
    exit
    </pre>
    Now start rman an restore only the files shown by v$recover_file.
    <pre>
    rman target /
    restore datafile x, y, z;
    recover database;
    sql 'alter database open';
    exit;
    </pre>
    x, y and z are placeholders for the filenumbers shown by the file# column of v$recover_file.
    Hope that helps!
    yours sincerely

  • Synced my iPhone and lost some data

    Synced my iPhone and lost some data (not all) in contacts.  Sync worked before.  How do I get back to before sync?

    You're welcome.
    Does having Outlook 2007 mean you are syncing your iPhone Contacts with Outlook 2007 and the contacts were lost there as well?
    If so and if your routine computer backup includes your Outlook data, restore your Outlook contacts from your Outlook data backup.

  • Lost some data points

    I am using LabView to control HP4191A Impedance Analyzer to do measurements. My frequency is forom 1M-1GHz,step is 1MHz. Firstly the Impedance Analyzer measures three groups of calibration data. And then it measures sample data. then use those four data to di calculation, and show me the final results.And the program works well except some data points of final results are lost from 50M to 80MHz. I checked the equipment, it measures all the time, and calibration data seem ok. So the problem probably is not in equipment, maybe something wrong in the LabView program. Does anyone has any clue that what is wrong here? A big thanks.

    It could be that the program simply does not read enough times to get the later part of the data you would like. I am not sure how you are connecting to your instrument, but you may want to check your LabVIEW program to see that it is, in fact, programmed to get all the data you request. You can post again with more information, such as how you are connecting to the instrument and whether or not you are using a prewritten LabVIEW driver (as opposed to writing your own code from scratch to communicate with the instrument), with which we may be able to better narrow down the problem.

  • HT1766 I sync my ipad at least once a week, i lost some data yesterday but like I said, i synnced my ipad 4 days ago and i want to restore to that point. when i choose "Restore from backup" the only options i see on the grid list is today, wheres a week a

    i want to restore from the auto updates that are made by itunes.

    When you synced the iPad today, you overwrote the backup fromlast week. If you would have turned off auto sunc and simply restored from the backup without syncing, you would have bee fine.
    In certain situations - such as when you only sync once a week, iTunes creates a new backup for that sync that overwrites the last backup. If it has been a week since you last synced, iTunes reads the latest data on the iPad since the last backup and then creates a new up to date backup.

  • TS4108 I have recently done a software update on my phone, when complete I could not get the phone to work and the icon showed I had to connect to I-tunes. I then lost some recent data and photos. If they are backed up to the cloud how do I recover them?

    When I completed my last software update directly on my phone I didn't realise I would then be prompted to do and I-tunes update that would wipe my phone. There seemed to be no turning back so I lost some data and photos.  I'm assuming these will be backed up to the cloud but have no idea how to retrieve them.
    The explanation given on the support community is a bit complicated and beyond my capabilities!   Julie Malkin

    If you have an iCloud backup, restore it to your phone as explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521.  If you have a backup on your computer instead, restore it to your phone by connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup.

  • Lost some app and game data when restoring iPad 1 backup to iPad 2

    Very disappointingly, when I restored my iPad 1 backup to my iPad 2, I lost some but not all apps and games save data etc.
    Some of that stuff took hours!
    Any way of recovering it? Why would it affect some and not others, I wonder.

    The same thing happened to me.  All apps loaded (though I lost my folders), but not of the data.  I was almost done with Angry Birds, and now I'm back at square one.  ggrrrrr....

    I have updated my iPhone to iOS6.1.3 today and lost all my photos and some data(messageies) I have tried iTunes back up but still not success, please help.

    If your messages and photos weren't part of your backup, then they're gone.
    Certainly you weren't foolish enough to update the iOS on your phone before importing your photos off your phone for safe keeping on your computer like you would do with any digital camera, were you?

  • Installed a SSD recently, some data got lost

    Hi,
    I have a 2009 mini running ML. After I installed a SSD recently and transferred all data/apps using the migrating assistant I realized that some data got lost. My Iphoto is naked. All my albums and fotos are gone. where did they go??
    Had angry birds installed. Played all level before and now it looks like it never has been played before.
    Is there any way to transfer ALL data from the old disk to the SSD and not only a part of it?
    All apps I had installed were transferred.
    regards
    lombokmike

    You might try to repair permissions.
    Otherwise, the easiest way would have been to use Carbon Copy Cloner
    or Super Duper and clone the entire drive to the SSD.
    If there were large collections of files that you did not want
    transfered because of space reasons, you could selectively
    chose items not to be contained in the clonong process.

  • ICal lost end dates and ∞ sync conflicts after iOS4 upgrade

       After upgrading my sacrificial iPod 3 (I’m waiting to upgrade my main iPhone 3GS) and synchronizing it to my home MacBook Pro 2007 17", I got huge numbers of old repeating meeting which seem to have lost their end-date, e.g., “Palm-size PC Porting Lab” on June 28th this millennium, which I assure you is an error. I restored from a desktop backup, overwrote the iOS4 Calendar data, and synced again.
       After that, I had a miserable day full of a dozen or so Resolve Sync Conflicts dialogs—sometime three or four in a row after a single, very slow, sync. Several times two sync processes used up all my real memory (using over a gigabyte, out of three) and once it even used up all my disk space (I had 29G free). I also had a few rounds of conflict on my work MacBook Pro 2009 13", synced via MobileMe.
       Some historical notes: My calendar data is quite large, going back to Newton days via PalmOS, and iPhone OS 3 never handled it properly, e.g., both search and over-the-air sync are broken on my 3.1.3 iPhone. MobileMe sync data also gets corrupted every few weeks. And “Palm-size PC” was Microsoft’s court-ordered renaming of their trade-mark infringing Palm PC.
    Macaulay‘s Law of Software Upgrades:
    “To think nothing of symmetry and much of convenience; never to remove an anomaly merely because it is an anomaly; never to innovate except when some grievance is felt; never to innovate except so far as to get rid of the grievance.”

    Deleting my caches per http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2481, and restoring and rebooting a couple of times, seems to have shut up the warnings, at least for now, but there's still some data loss, e.g., two meetings on 6/21 and 6/22 don't show up any more on my main Mac, but do show up on both my sacrificial iOS4 iPod, and my real 3.1.3 iPhone. (I’m also having trouble with a Note failing to sync from my iPad, but I haven’t tried that yet since nuking my caches.)

  • Help with "The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in "iPhoto Library" can't be read or written. (Error code -36)" Any ideas on how to fix this?

    While trying to copy my iPhoto Library (49.61 GB) to an external hard drive, I receive the error message "The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “iPhoto Library” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)"
    I need to move my library because I have no more disk space.  This was going to be step 1 followed by backing up to another EHD.
    More details: iPhoto version 9.6 (910.29) OX X Yosemite Version 10.10.1 (Mid 2011 Mac Book Air).  EHD= WD Elements 1 TB (purchased at B&H Photo where the sales associate formatted it for a Mac).
    Any step by step ideas for help are appreciated!  I've read through a few threads but need more step by step directions.

    That error message is an I/O error which can mean a number of things, among them a bad file.  Here's a couple of fixes you can try:
    1 - use the free version of  iPhoto Library Manager  to rebuild the library with the rebuild being created on the  EHD as follows:
    Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.>Click on the Add Library button,
    2 -  select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
    3 - make sure that in the rebuild window the checkbox  "Scavange orphaned photos" is checked.
    4 - now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
    5 - in the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed. Click on the Create button.
    Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost.
    Note 2:  Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
    When iPLM finishes it will display a log file entry showing which files it was unable to use in the rebuild.  Open the old library with iPhoto, locate and delete the photos that iPLM listed in its log.  Then try dragging the library to the EHD again.
    If the above fails continue with:
    2 - create a new, empty library on the EHD.  Use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manage to copy the events (1-2 at a time) to the new library on the EHD.  At one point iPLM may run into the bad file and be unable to copy the event.  You can check iPLM's log to see what file it is.  Then open that library, delete the file and either try to copy the entire library by dragging and dropping or contine with the copying of events from the old library to the new library.

  • The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in "iPhoto Library" can't be read or written.(Error code -36)

    I have a backup from Time machine of my iPhoto and I get the above error when I try to restore them. Thae backup was done with Mountain Lion and I upgraded to Mavericks. The backup is on an external drive.
    Again this is the error:

    I have also tried going to earlier dated backup and get the same error.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

    Messages is the iChat replacement. Messages is iChat but with iMessage compatibility, so you can send messages to other iPhones, iPads, iPods touch or Macs, but keeping the iChat features. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5395

    Screensavers have changed in Mountain Lion too. You are not the only one that complains about them. OS X Mountain Lion keeps some of the old Lion screensavers, but others were replaced

  • Partition with Disk Utility in 10.7, Lost All Data on Drive

    All,
    I partitioned a 2TB drive with DiskUtility.  Partition 1: 1.99TB, Paritition 2: 1GB.  Lost all data Partition 1.  Two years of family photos, videos, business communications and files, time machine backups, are gone.  What to do?
    The solution I have so far: downloaded "Wondershare Data Recovery," followed instructions, it is scanning drive.  Does anyone else have any experience with capabale softwares to use for this purpose?  How about some professional data recovery centers accross the US where I can mail in my drive, and they do the rest?
    In general, what do I do?
