E75 - I have to enter date & time each time I star...

Hi, I switch off the phone and when I switch it on again, it's asking me to change the date and time from default values. I removed and installed back the battery and SIM card, then I reset to factory defaults and finally I updated FW to 202.12.01. No change. Could you please help?

This would be normal if you remove the battery for a few minutes.
If it is doing it with a fully charged battery and you have upgraded the firmware / done a reset to defaults with *#7370#, then it is likely there is a hardware fualt with the handset.
How old is it?

You must be in a country with a carrier that does not support visual voicemail with the iPhone.
I'm not aware of a way to do so. Before the iPhone and visual voicemail access, I always had to enter my voicemail password when having to call for voicemail access regardless the carrier.
How did you do this with your previous cell phone with this carrier?

How can I get user to enter date & time on a form?

I have a form where I want the user to enter a date and time for an event. The database field is in MYSQL datetime format
I've used the datepicker on the form field but it only allows for a date entry not time.(eeven when seetin the width to 22 chars
I remember doing something before which allowed the user to pick a date and then add the time at the end.
I've got the date defaulted to dd/mm/yyyy and the time to H:mm in the control panel.
Can anyone help please or is there a better way to enter date and time?.

Two things:
The column in your database is defined as DateTime, not Date
You use the option on the Date Picker to choose datetime, not date
This will give the user the ability to choose a date and time from the date column. If you need more control over the time, you probably need to add another column defined as Time. Then you can use the validation rules to force an entry rather than allowing the default (current time).

Open Contacts and create a Group with the recipients by drag and drop i each into the group...and of course give the group a name to use as the addressee.

Cannot enter Date & Time via Settings

After migrating to 2.1 when i try to enter date and time option via settings, i land up again on the main screen. Can anyone help me on this

I have the same problem. When I travel abroad, I leave the phone in Airplane Mode; I can't get into the Date & Time settings to adjust the time. The phone properly updates while in the US, but abroad, it occasionally takes several hours to update to the correct time.
This weekend, as the Netherlands switched off of DST, the phone plainly refused to update the time. I was unable to enter into the Date & Time page and was left with a clock that was just wrong.
When I returned to the US this evening, the phone updated to the proper time once again. It would be quite nice to be able to adjust the time manually when the phone refuses to update properly.

Why do most apps make it so difficult to enter dates time and numbers

Why is it that most apps when it comes to entering a date, time or number require you to go to the ridiculous motion of entering data using a scroll wheel. For dates it should be a calendar like interface, for time and numbers give me numeric keypad. Its possible In that som apps do it, but most don't. Why is this the case?

As with 3rd party apps on your computer, this is up to the app developer for the app.

Have tried the date time it's good not sure what else to look at and apple care is useless

keep getting error 1202 tried the date time thing they are fine, apple is of no help. I cant purchase song, can't look at wish list or account information and not sure what eles. any ideas about where I need to look at. I don't have the speedbit vidoe so that aint' it.

I cannot see the damage. But the screening centre has pics showing it is damaged. Apple refuses to cover a physical damage. But the reason the device is damaged could only be coz it had a poor battery life from start. The iPhone 5 is infamous for the same. We all know it. Apple conveniently denies responsibility.
And the Insurance company says it covers only accidental damage. Now how am I to prove an 'accidental' damage ? Unless I lie to them....

How can I set up my 4s so that when I need to access my apple account to either download an app, update an app or buy something then I need to just put in my password? This is how my 3s worked but the 4 s seems to have stored all my details so I don't need to log in. My young son sometimes plays games and I dont want him to accidentally buy stuff. If I log out then each time I need to go back in I have to put in all my account info. Not just my password.

Depending upon what version of iOS that you have on it then you might have a Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password setting on it - if you do then set it to 'Immediately'

5530 have to enter WLAN SSID each time

My home wi-fi does not broadcast the SSID - I prefer it this way for added security.
I have however set the router up as an access point and it remembers the password, but whenever I use Menu > Internet > Web and visit a page it offers me "Sarch for WLAN" and then I have to choose "Other (hidden netw.)" and type in the SSID. This is a right pain :-) Is there a fix for this or do I have to just bite the bullet and tell my router to broadcast my SSID?

I think you should brodcast the SSID. Depending on where you live it probably won't be that bad. You can also change your router encryption from WEP to WPA or even WPA2 which as far as i know, what they use in the Australian Government. But becarful. some laptops or wireless computers don't support WPA2 or some older ones dont suppor WPA. If you have your password as something totaly random consisting of numbers letters and signs in random orders no on ill guess it and if your neighbours or lolife geeks and hack into your network with sophisticated software, you can always call the police.another thing you can do is change your router broadcasting radius to a lower one so it doesn't reach your neighbors. baack to to original question as far as my knowlege goes bout phones i don't know how to do it but you can always try some of things suggested above

However, it shows in up right corner wrong date. Also all mail, reminders and etc work with wrong date.

Numbers not sorting date/time correctly

I would be grateful if someone can chime in - it's very simple thing and maybe I'm overlooking something.
I have 3 columns:
DATE - DESCRIPTION - TIME
I need to sort them out by date, then by time.
It works only for date cells - upon inspection I have noticed that time cells have creation date stamp as well which messes sorting up.
Any suggestions ?

As has been stated (or implied) above, every every date and/or time displayed in Numbers is a Date and Time value marking a specific instant in time.
Values that have been entered as date only (eg. October 1, 2012) mark the instant that day begins (eg. October 1, 2012 00:00:00).
Values that have been entered as time only mark that instant on the day on which the entry was made (or in cases such as pop-up menu items, the day on which the item was created as a menu item).
Values that have been entered as full Date and Time values mark the date and time that was entered.
Here are three possible approaches to sorting your table 'correctly':
Enter the Date and Time as a single and complete Date and time value (see example above), using a single column for these entries.
OR
Add a column containing a formula that extracts the time value from the Date and Time values in column C of your example table, then do the two-stage sort on your Date column then the new column as described in your initial post. See example below.
Before sorting:

OR
Format your "Time" column as Text. Enter all "Time"s in 24 hour format (00:00 to 23:59), and use the two-stage sort you describe.
Each of these will sort correctly using Numbers as it is supplied. Should you think Numbers shoud stop supporting ISO 8601, the International Standard for the representation of dates and times, the most effective place to make that recommendation would be via the Feedback channel. Use the Provide Numbers Feedback menu item in the Numbers menu (in Numbers) to request this change.

Interactive report filtered by date/time ?

Hi All,
I have an interactive report in my application.
Sql query of the report having start date ,end date column name.E.g.The values of start date and end date are like 16-NOV-2009 12:00AM and 16-NOV-2009 12:00AM.
I have 2000 records in my report.
When I go to Filter on the column, I can only pick the Date and not the Time. Is there a way so I can enter Date/Time as the Filter?
I need your help.Please suggest some solution.

Click actions -> click filter -> select 'Start date' ||select operator 'between'||select click expression calender.
In the calender ,i want to display bath time and date.If its a user defined item like P2_START_DATE then i can set the format mask and check the date and time ,but its a in built one!! appearing from Action menu.
Am using APex 4.0,Is it a known apex issue or we can do it by adding some custome code or plugin?

Set Date & Time Automatically

I have an Airport Extreme tied to a cable modem. I also have an Airport Express setup using WDS (remote base station). On both the Exteme and the Express I have checked "Set Data & Time Automatically" and selected "time.apple.com".
The Extreme finally has the correct date and time. (And I assume year.) However, the Express keeps loggin this error; "No address for NTP server time.apple.com." (I am using the "AirPort Management Utility" to view the logs for each Airport.)
I tried typing in the raw ip address for time.apple.com but it didn't change anything. Other then this minor issue both Airports are working fine.
What am I doing wrong?

Your setup is similar to mine but my Express is in Client Mode not WDS. Here are some of the log entries I see. After it powers up the time is wrong and it reports the same as you of "No address for NTP server time.apple.com." but after a short time it does!

Date/time theme, and audio question

I have a video about 45 min long. I have dragged the date/time theme to each thumbnail section, but sometimes it won't allow me to drop it into the whole thumbnail, only a part of it. Is there a fix?
Also, can you drop the date/time theme into the whole video, without having to do each thumbnail?
How do I transfer my video to a dvd without sound?

Have you tried dragging the left handle (and dragging to the left) or the right handle) and (dragging to the right) to lengthen the Title?
You must do titles one at a time.
How do I transfer my video to a dvd without sound?
You can set the volume for a clip by clicking on the inspector icon for the clip (looks like a little gear inside the clip). Select Audio Adjustments. And move the volume slider to zero.
If you want to do this for all clips, select the clip you just adjusted and click, EDIT/COPY.
Now click EDIT/SELECT ALL.
Finally click EDIT/PASTE ADJUSTMENTS/AUDIO.
