EBS 11.5.10.2 service control script issue after cloning

Hi All,
I had almost completed with the cloning of a 11.5.10.2 from one node to another node (both single nodes in Linux)

Hi Ark,
Have a look at the file $ORACLE_HOME/lib/stubs/libc.so (8.0.6 Home)
This is a text file containing the location of the stub libraries for the 8.0.6 Home. This location may have changed from the original env to the cloned environment, and is not updated by Rapidclone.
After changing to the correct location, see if you can relink the application binaries using Adadmin.
Hope that helps
Bruno.

  • Services Control Manager Issue

    Hello All,
The other day I rebuilt a computer here using my automated, sysprepped build(which always works), and then I ran my migration script that does a number of things, one of those things being a netdom renamecomputer operation. When the portion of the script
got to the rename computer part, I received the following error:
The attempt to open the service control manager on COMPUTERNAME
failed with error 1818. Unable to determine if the Certificate Authority
    service is installed.
I've never seen this before. Permissions on the services control manager are fine, and I even rebuilt this box twice to see if something got botched in the image process but to no avail. I've tried to research this as much as I can and I can't come up with
anything. If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be much appreciated!
SIDE NOTE: Does anyone know why when deploying a Windows 7 automated build, once completed, the image doesn't always have File and Printer Sharing enabled in the Firewall? I've noticed inconsistencies with this when building out machines
with my image and I don't understand why.
    Thanks!
    Ron

Figured it out. Oddly, Netdom.exe was not a part of this particular Windows 7 OS-- why, the world will never know. I copied down the the .exe from a machine that actually had it to system32 on the machine that did not have it and presto-- netdom renamecomputer
worked like a charm. I came to this conclusion by running the netdom renamecomputer command locally on troublesome machine rather than remotely and the error message was much more telling(saying that it didn't recognize 'netdom' as a command).
    Cheers!

  • WAD Java script issue after upgrade to 7.3

    Dear all,
We have just upgraded our system from BW 7.01 to 7.3 SP4. One of the custom web templates in the system uses java script to hide few items on every screen refresh. Post upgrade, this functionality is behaving strangely, as the hidden items automatically get 'un-hidden' on page refresh.
Please let me know if there are any known script issues in web templates in system upgrade scenarios. Any pointers would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek.

  • Grid Control access issue after ip change

    Hi
The ip address of the server was changed. In this server there was repisotory database and OMS.
After that, I couldnt manage to start oms.
    When I try:
opmnctl start all , I notice that it is hanging.
I also cannot display Grid Control url, however I can start repisotory database successfully.
    Any recommendation?

I had the same problem, logged a TAR and waited several weeks, only to be told to resinstall OMS. That was 2 years ago with 10.2.0.3. There may be an article now on metalink which has the process. But I agree with the previous posts, the IP address is everywhere, so it's a real pain in the proverbial.

  • Safari Java script issues after OS 3.1 update

When after opening email via a microsoft exchange server on iPhone safari, if I select reply and input text none of the "Buttons" work; reply - close -reload. it is as if the page is now stuck there. Did not have this issue with microsoft exchange mail page prior to this os update (it worked quite well in 3.0.1)
has anyone else noticed this issue?

I've noticed similar issues since 3.1 - We use a web based work order system that I access locally via VPN at 192.168.1.xxx - Since upgrading to 3.1 safari crashes consistently after hitting the login button. I downgraded my 3G back to 3.0 and it works again. Also, I noticed that safari for Windows crashes at the same spot. Firefox and IE both work fine. Seems some updates to safari have caused it to be incompatible with sites that once were compatible??

  • Generic Service Control WSDL

Okay, so we are running into a little problem on my program. I will do my best to explain how it is all put together without being too confusing.
We are designing a WebService for WLS 9.2 that will be used to start JPDs on WLI. These JPDs will be modeled after a generic JPD that will have a "start" method. We used this JPD to create a WSDL that was then used to generate a ServiceControl for our WebService. The actual JPDs will be registered with ALSR and will not be necessarily know until runtime.
Hence, our service will lookup the endpoint for the JPD from the registry using some search criteria. This works!!! The WebService will then set the endpoint for the generic control to the endpoint the was retrieved from the registry. Finally, the WebService will use the control to call the "start" method on the control.
Okay, so we have gotten this working when deploying to the server from Workshop. And we were able to get it to work when we export the EAR from Workshop and upload the ear. However, dude to some CM requirements and the way we are handling that aspect of deployment, we were using Ant to build the EAR. We figured out that our Ant script was ignoring some steps in creating the files.
We then tried to use the Workshop exported Ant script, but those don't work for us. There is some classpath problem, and such that makes it not work.
So to make a long story even longer. Has anyone else tried to develop a generic WSDL to a "class" of services and call those services by setting the endpoint for the service via a control? It appears that this may or may not be supported in WLS 9.2.
    Any thoughts?

    Hi Debbie,
When you created the service control did you choose the option to generate xmlbean types for the service or did you generate jax/rpc types ?
Can you send the service, wsdl and control to me via email at akraj_at_yahoo.com ?
    cheers

  • Asynchronous Web Service Request-Reply Invocation from Service Control

    Hi all
I need to invoke a reliable web service call using a Service Control. when trying to make that invocation for an operation that returns data. It gives the following exception. For the methods that marked with @Oneway() annotation in the service implementation, it works.
javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: Reliable messaging will only work with one way messages or asynchronous request/response messages.
    </bea_fault:stacktrace></detail>]; nested exception is:
weblogic.wsee.jaxrpc.soapfault.WLSOAPFaultException: Reliable messaging will only work with one way messages or asynchronous request/response messages.
Caused by: java.rmi.RemoteException: SOAPFaultException - FaultCode [{http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server] FaultString [Reliable messaging will only work with one way messages or asynchronous request/response messages.
] FaultActor [null] Detail [<detail><bea_fault:stacktrace xmlns:bea_fault="http://www.bea.com/servers/wls70/webservice/fault/1.0.0">javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: Reliable messaging will only work with one way messages or asynchronous request/response messages.
    </bea_fault:stacktrace></detail>]; nested exception is:
weblogic.wsee.jaxrpc.soapfault.WLSOAPFaultException: Reliable messaging will only work with one way messages or asynchronous request/response messages.
So I need to make Asynchronous Request-Reply Invocation from Service Control, which is apparently doesn't happen in this case.
    Thanks

    Hi HP,
I included the following snippet in job source:
    //Set completion strategy to external
    jcsJobContext.setCompletionStrategy(CompletionStrategyType.External);
I get the following error when compiled:
    JCS-102183: Compile failed for Job Definition SOAP_GlobalWeatherSoap_GetCitiesByCountry (Latest Version): SOAP_GlobalWeatherSoap_GetCitiesByCountry.java:user code 24:40:cannot find symbol symbol : variable CompletionStrategyType location: class com.redwood.scheduler.custom.SOAP_GlobalWeatherSoap_GetCitiesByCountry jcsJobContext.setCompletionStrategy(CompletionStrategyType.External);
I am not able to find any information from the API documentation on the method setCompletionStrategy, so I'm not able to figure what type of variable am i passing, so that i can initialize it. Please shed some light on it.
Also there is no path called Scripting > Built-In Web Services
I have only Scripting>Published Web Services

  • Error when re-starting an SQL Server Instance from VBA - [SQL-DMO]Service Control Error: Access is denied.

Our Application needs to have the use of the [Named Pipes] and [TCP/IP] Protocols.  To save our Users the hassle of having to enable them manually our application has always done it for them and then stopped and restarted SQL Server.  However
since the advent of Vista and Windows 7, the restart stopped working.  We solved the problem by detecting the failure to re-start and giving Users sufficient instructions for them to do it themselves.  Since this only occurs during installation on
the Server, this approach has not been too much of a hassle.  However we would like to tidy this up if possible. This the VBA code that is causing the problem:
        obj_SQLServerInstance2.Start _
            g_SQL_UseWindowsAuthentication, _
            SQLServerInstance, _
            UserName, _
            Password
This still works when run under XP, but fails under Windows 7 with the Error:
[SQL-DMO]Service Control Error: Access is denied.
Does anyone know how to resolve the problem?

This still works when run under XP, but fails under Windows 7 with the Error:
[SQL-DMO]Service Control Error: Access is denied.
    Hello Brian,
Under Windows 7 you have to run the VBA script with admin permission, a normal user don't have permissions to start/stop services.

There are two possibilities why this would occur. The first is that you are trying to run a 9.0 version of the service control. In this case everything should still work fine and you can ignore this exception. The other case is that the resource file is not in the proper location of the classpath. It should be in the same directory as the service control interface class. You might have to change your build scripts to make this work out for you. The resource file is generated during control assembly time and needs to be moved to the same directory as the service control interface class.>

In the ESB Control you can view the exception that's being thrown, is the PrivilegActionException the only stack trace you have?
Maybe you can have a look if the data that's returned from the db-adapter is interpreted correctly by the ESB? You're working with a Request/Reply ESB so you need to make sure that as well the input as the ouput that's returned by the Routing Service is properly defined.

  • Exported build.xml doesn't build Service Control correctly

We created a few components that build properly in Workshop...but not in the build.xml that Workshop generates. We are using Workshop 9.2.
    Here is what we did...
    1) Coded a Web Service that uses the ALDSP 3.0 dynamic mediator API (to access a data service)
    2) Generated a WSDL from that service
    3) Created a Service Control (that uses the WSDL from #2)
When we do a build via Project -> Clean (with Build Automatically enabled), this gets built just fine.
When we run the Ant task with the targets "clean, build", it fails when it tries to compile the SEI file (the file that gets generated for #3 above).
During the build process (from the Workshop-exported build.xml file), the com.bea.control.servicecontrol.impl.ServiceControlAssembler appears to generate the MyServiceControlSEI.java file that does not compile.
Although the compile error probably has to do with the naming conventions in our XML schema, we at least want to get the build.xml build process to act the same way as the regular Project -> Clean process (in which case our project builds just fine...even with our XML schema issues).
My question is...does the Project -> Clean process use a different set of APTs or tasks to generate the SEI file than the build.xml process? If so, how can we configure the exported build.xml file to use the same tasks/tools as the Project -> Clean process?
    Thank you,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
Can you confirm if you are running the ant script from the command line and have run the setenv.cmd/sh script prior to running the ant tasks

  • 11gr2 Control Center Service run_service.sh Issues

So after a few days of searching this forum (and many other online forums), I was unable to find anything related to this specific topic at all. Since I beat my head against a wall for a few days to figure this out, I figured if I can save even one other poor soul from hitting this issue then this post would be worth it.
In short, we have a two tier'd setup for OWB 11gR2 that we're building out as part of a data center migration project. Our intent was to run the control center service on an application server (completely apart from the database server which according to Oracle support, isn't normal - and initially, they told us wasn't supported... until I forwarded them a copy of the install & admin guide and they realized it was a valid architecture in that document on page 1-5... what the bag??). We installed the OWB standalone client (important to note, on a Red Hat Linux 64 bit box) exactly as per the instructions.
So onto the actual problem. When we tried to launch the control center service, it would start with the following output:
2013/05/22-10:58:53-CDT [558385E3][] Platform Service for null

This is the entry from Ref. Doc ID 402401.1 - How To Setup a Remote Control Center Service or Remote Runtime With OWB 10.2, and this is exactly how we called the process:
    cd <owb_home>/bin/unix
nohup echo <unified_repos_password> | run_service.sh -manual 1 control_center_service_home unified_repository servername listenerport servicename &control_center_service_home --Oracle Home where OWB software is installed
unified_repository --Schema name of the Unified Repository (owbsys)
servername --Server where Unified Repository is installed
listenerport --Listener port for the DB
servicename --Service name of the DB
This allows the service to run in the background, even if you log off of the terminal (which is ideal vs. using the local_service_login.sh script and xwindows to start it manually on a unix platform).
At first, this error smacked of the control center service using the wrong oracle home. It was spitting that error above out to STDOUT, instead of to a file in the owb/log file directory as it should. To see what would happen, I updated the wb_rt_service_nodes table to use the application server home value instead of the server side home... and it actually "worked". Starting it back up made it look almost right, except any sqlldr maps were being deployed with a warning... so I knew that wasn't it.
After much research and playing around, and a moment of sheer, blind luck (I created myself a unix alias to issue the run_service command, and accidentally added an additional dash in front of the node id parameter i.e. "-1"), the warning dissappeared and we also were able to deploy a sqlldr map without a warning as well (the other symptom of this was that any sqlldr map would deploy with a warning saying it couldn't find/create the .ctl file... but it was looking in the OWB home on the DB server, not the application server!!).
To summarize, it would appear that in order to startup a standalone 11gr2 control center service on the Linux 64 bit distribution of the code correctly - you must add the extra dash in the nodeid parameter like so:
    <nohup stuff>run_service.sh -manual -1 <everything else>
If you don't do this, the control center service won't run properly and all the symptoms look like it's runing with the wrong oracle home... which, given the apparent lack of documentation from Oracle on the subject of running remote control centers, you may go crazy with the reset_owbcc_home.sql and remote_owb_install.sql scripts. Hope that helps someone.

Forget to mention that i did execute the service_doctor.sql and the result is the following
All PL/SQL packages and functions are valid
Platform properties have been loaded correctly
Platform location has been seeded correctly
NLS messages have been loaded correctly
    The platform service is available
There is a problem accessing the service startup script from the databaseserver
Here is the detailed error message which contains the name of the startscript file:-
Service startup file '/app/oracle/owb/bin/unix/run_service.sh' is notaccessible from the database server on instance number 1
Please verify that the disk containing the file is visible to thedatabase server

  • J2EE Service Control Program

    Hey,
I am going to try and see if i can get some people at source force to help me write a Windows Service Control Program for the J2EE Reference Implementation. Basically, you will be able to start and stop the server from the Service Control Manager in the administration tools. Anyway if this has already been done someone please let me know before I put any effort into it.
    Later,
    ib

Hello, I've been looking for this service too.
Finally I had to put the j2ee.bat in C:\WINNT\system32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Scripts\scripts.ini
Please tell me if you found the way to have a true windows service for j2ee.
    Thanks.

  • Application Web Service Control Manager detected AWEBSVC is not responding to HTTP requests

    Hi,
We are using SCCM 2012 sp1 cu5 with one primary in the datacenter and a number of local DP's which are presently servicing 200 users, but will rise to 12,000. The Application Catalogue is installed on the primary server.
Once a day we get the above error and the message id is 8101, and sometimes a user will have to click on install twice, with the first one failing (the ones that fail are normally with dependencies which are quite large in size around 250MB)
I'm just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about, especially since we will be ramping up user numbers in the next few weeks, and if it could be down to volume of traffic, although the apps are downloaded to the users local DP.
Also, does this design look suitable to service this amount of users, or should I have local application catalogues? The WAN bandwith between the datacenter and the user sites has recently been upgraded and is pretty fast.
    Thanks
    Jaz

    Hi Torsten,
Message ID is in the SMS_AWEBSVC_CONTROL_MANAGER status log and equates to "Application Web Service Manager detected AWEBSVC is not responding to HTTP requests. The http error is 12002.
Then, about 1 hr later in the same monitoring log I get Message ID 8102 "Application Web Service Control Manger detected AWEBSVC is responding to HTTP requests.
At the moment it isn't doing this very often, just once a day at different times normally, but it has also logged this a couple of times as well. I guess it may correspond to multiple users accessing the web portal at multiple times, but wondered if
anyone else has seen this behaviour and how it was fixed.
    Thanks
    Jaz
