EBS Concurrent Program Inactive No Manager

Hi Experts,
On my R12.1.3 env., the concurrent program request always is in inactive/no manager status for about 5 minutes before it starts running. I stopped the servers, ran the cmclean.sql, and started all servers, but it doesn't help. Anywhere else can I config to make the CP start right away? BTW, there's no other CP request running from the request monitor screen.
Thanks for your input.

Hi Michelle,
Were there any recent changes made lately??? Was this working fine before?
Can you please try the following and let us know:
1. Source the Apps environment file
2. Relink the CM related executables.
adrelink.sh force=y link_debug=y "fnd FNDLIBR"
adrelink.sh force=y link_debug=y "fnd FNDSM"
3. Run autoconfig
4. Bounce the CM, and let us know if the issue persist.
Thanks &
Best Regards,

  • Receiving Transaction Manager concurrent program errors out with INACTIVE, NO Manager

    Hi,
We have an R12.1.3, 2-node (1 node Apps, 1 node DB) ERP system on Sparc 64, Solaris 10 Machines.
All the concurrent managers including Standard Manager and Receiving Transaction Manager are running fine.
When we are running the concurrent program Receiving Transaction Manager(RCVTPO), it errors out with Inactive No Manager error.
I am not being able to find any errors in the log files of CM or DB.
Could someone help me resolve this error. Its kinda urgent
    Thanks.

I create a template with chart, when i previous it with the template builder it works.
But if i use EBS concurrent program no chart is display in the output.
If someone has ideas to this, please help me

    Hi Thiamass
I think that he chart rendering libraries are not present in your appltop. We use an Oracle component called bibeans and their libraries are probably not present.
I have ploughed through metalink but can not find the patch. Pls log a TAR and support can help you out, pls log it against 'BI Publisher (formerly XML Publisher)'

    Can you check from which schema you are executing FND_REQUEST? You can try as follows;
Connect to your required schema, create a synonym on apps.fnd_request, connect from apps and finally execute grant all on apps.fnd_request to all.
You can check for relevance from Doc ID: Note:147495.1
Please do keep in the mind the soultion above should be applied to a test/dev EBS instance first.
I hope this would be of help.

  • Concurrent program to be submitted y only one user at a time

    Hi
I have an issue with one of my reports. The report is using temporary tables, those will under go insertion and deletion while the report is running. So, to make sure that two or more concurrent requests submitted for same report, will not conflict, I want to make my concurrent request to be submitted by only one user at a time.
    How can I do that?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    BalaKrishna

The "run alone" box should not be checked. This indicates that this program can only run when no others are running. Pl see MOS Doc 1078462.6 (Custom SQL Concurrent Program Returns NO MANAGER Error). This option should typically not be used.
To be able to achieve what you need, set the incompatibility (as you have done) and then bounce the concurrent managers for the setting to take effect. Pl see these MOS Docs

  • Sqlplus concurrent programs

    Hi,
I already learned how to register an Oracle Report to the concurrent program.
How do I register an sqlplus program in EBS concurrent program?
    Thanks a lot

If you want to find out the concurrent program name for this “GLXRLACF.sql”
    Do the following steps.
Go to define executables window from system administrator responsibility.
    Go to enter query mode
Enter “GLXRLACF” into file name field and then execute the query.
You will get the short name of the executable
    Then
You open define concurrent program window
    Go to enter query mode
Type above name into executable name field
    Execute the query
You will get concurrent program name.
I hope this will help you.

  • Con. Req. 'Receiving Transaction Manager' Inactive/No Manager : This request is an unconstrained request. (queue_method_code = I) , No concurrent manager is defined to process this request, so it cannot be processed.

    Hi Gurus,
I need your help on a concurrent request ( Receiving Transaction Manager ) showing as Inactive/No Manager.
    EBS: R12.1.2 on Linux
Database: 11.2.0.3 on HP UX Itanium
A user is submitting the concurrent request - "Receiving Transaction Manager" (It is a concurrent program not a concurrent manager).  The request ends up as Inactive/No Manager. When I click on the diagnostics button this is what it shows -
"No concurrent manager is defined to process this request, so it cannot be processed.
Contact your system administrator to define a concurrent manager to process this request or to verify that existing concurrent managers have the correct specialization rules."
I ran analyzereq.sql and the analysis is
    Analysis:
Request 1427025 is in phase "Pending" with status " Normal".
                               (phase_code = P)   (status_code = I)
This request is an unconstrained request. (queue_method_code = I)
It is in a "Pending/Normal" status, ready
to be run by the next available manager.
Checking managers available to run this request...
There is no manager defined that can run this request
This should show on the form as Inactive/No Manager
Check the specialization rules for each
manager to make sure they are defined correctly.
    Additional information (from apps.FND_CONC.DIAGNOSE):
No concurrent manager is defined to process this request, so it cannot be processed.
Contact your system administrator to define a concurrent manager to process this  request or to verify that existing concurrent managers have the correct specialization rules.
I ran another SQL to find out which manager runs the program :
    select CONTROLLING_MANAGER,request_id
    from fnd_concurrent_requests
    where request_id=1427025;
It returned blank (or) NULL for controlling Manager.
    select b.USER_CONCURRENT_QUEUE_NAME from fnd_concurrent_processes a,
    fnd_concurrent_queues_vl b, fnd_concurrent_requests c
    where  a.CONCURRENT_QUEUE_ID = b.CONCURRENT_QUEUE_ID
    and    a.CONCURRENT_PROCESS_ID = c.controlling_manager
    and    c.request_id = 1427025;
    Returned Nothing.
I thought that for a concurrent program when no specific manager is defined, Standard Manager is the default. Is my understanding wrong ?? Have anyone of you faced this issue? How did you fix it ?
I did check the profile - Concurrent: Conflict Domain for the responsibility and it is blank.
    Appreciate any help.
    Thanks
    Cherrish Vaidiyan

Was this working before? If yes, any changes been done recently?
Your understanding is correct, unless this concurrent program is excluded from being processed by standard manager.
If the request was not processed then the no rows output is an expected behavior -- (Doc ID 344011.1)
Have you tried the solution in (Doc ID 1303315.1)?
    Thanks,

  • Ruby on Rails Concurrent program registration in EBS 11i

    hi everyone
I'm trying to see if it is possible to register a Ruby on Rails concurrent program in Oracle E-business Suite 11i applications. We have Ruby on the Rail program we are using to create a GL Daily Rates file into one of our Custom top directory. Our intention is to create a request set that includes this Ruby on Rails program and SQL*Loader program that loads the data into staging table before data is uploaded to the GL_Daily_Rates_Interface.
I have seen that the execution method for Ruby on Rails does not exist in 11i and have tried to use perl but without success.
Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Handling exceptions in EBS Java concurrent program

    Hi,
I want to do exception handling in Java concurrent program, is there any standard set of exceptions already provided by EBS for concurrent programs or should I create my own Exception class for exception handling.
    Thanks!

    Hi Kashif, Thanks for replying.
I am creating a Java concurrent program in EBS by implementing the interface - oracle.apps.fnd.cp.request.JavaConcurrentProgram
    EBS Version - 12.1.3
    DB - Oracle Database 11g Express Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit
OS - Oracle Linux Server release 6.2
Also can I create a properties file to store messages and access the file from my concurrent program.
    Thanks!

    Hello,
Do you have any script to assign a list of concurrent Program to distinct  Concurrent Managers . Actually there are more than 100 programs need to be assigned to manager.ut

  • EBS Financials Concurrent programs for Finance and HR

    Hi EBS Guru's ,
I am compiling a list of concurrent programs that must be successfully processed in the EBS before the Incremental ETL load (from Data warehouse) is started.
Did anyone have identified the concurrent programs from the EBS side, especially for Finance and HR?
has anyone have identified few of the tasks ? that without done,Reports will not get the right (fresh) data on the reports, unless the concurrent program (also known as Interface programs)
    best regards,
    Kamlesh

No ,these Concurrent Programs are from the EBS (Oracle Apps ),nothing to do with Data warehouse.
these programs should be run in the source system, otherwise the incremental data in the Datawarehouse would be stale.

  • Oracle EBS sql*plus concurrent program

    Hello,
I have created some sql*plus concurrent programs. When I run the query in sql*plus or sql developer the results are as expected but when run as a concurrent program I am getting additional rows in the output. This seems to only occur when there are calls to API's such as ARPT_SQL_FUNC_UTIL.
    get_salesrep_name_number.
I am not sure where the extra results are coming from since I can't get them in a query but for a small number of cases I am getting unwanted records. I would really like to just have it return the same results as when run outside the context of the concurrent program. Is there any settings I can put in for this? The api's used in the query (function calls) were used since they are taken from standard Oracle views. I would prefer to leave them in as we know they are giving us the correct results and digging into each one to see what it is doing and replacing it with a sub query would take a lot of time.
I could possibly just change this into a PL/SQL package with utl_file but I would prefer not to go to that effort unless absolutely.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I have a SQL PLPUS script which generates the CSV file, the problem is whenever I run manually(@c:\future_cost.sql) it's works.
I am trying to generate this CSV from Concurrent program my request is completed successfully but it is not throughing data into my CSV.What do you mean by concurrent program?
The more information you provide, the chances of getting accurate answer will increase! :)
