EBS Emp Recon connectors query.properties syntax problem

Environment:
OIM 9.1.0 running RHEL4 AS
OIM eBusiness Employee Reconciliation connector 9.0.4.1 with patch 6728655
Background:
I'm trying to reconciliate some attributes from tables which are not by default described on query.properties. I've find out that I have to describe new tables on getEmp2 section, but that is not enough. On bug 6407452, Oracle says that you also have to describe new tables last_update_date query on query.properties.
Question:
Could someone please give me some examples how to modify query.properties so, that we can reconciliate also from tables which do not include person_id field.

When I changed query.properties I ended up creating a view in the APPS schema of EBS which would return all the data that I needed.
When I build the getEmp2 it looks something like this:
getEmp2=FROM custom_view cv,gl_temp_table t,hr_all_organization_units WHERE cv.person_id = t.person_id and hr_all_organization_units.organization_id(+) = cv.organisation_id
For some reason I could not get the above to work without including the hr_all_organization_units table.

Key Date variable; Interval in query properties for Time Dep. Masterdata

Hi,
I've been searching on the forum, and I think I know the answer already, but still I'd like
to ask you all whether it's possible to create a Key Date Interval variable to be used in the query properties.
As far as I can see you can only report by a single key date used in the query properties field for time dependant masterdata, but my customer has asked me to investigate the possibility to enter a date range.
As all masterdata is time dependant I don't see how this would work, but if someone can shine a light on this maybe there is a solution available?

I understand your problem.
I had an idea for a workaround.
If you can create master data compounded with Valid from and Valid to both of these characteristics , how the query is computing
the keyfigures.
Every change in valid from or valid to is unique for the system in this case.

Transfer properties from query properties

Hi,
I am having a problem when i try to change query properties in a web report. After i change what i need, y press the Transfer button but it never takes those changes, and the query properties window is never closed. i checked the page and when y press this button it gets a javascript error that says that the server is not available. This has always happened. My BW version is 3.5 with this level of packages: SAPKA64013
SAPKB64013
SAPKIPYI66
SAPKW35012
SAPKIBIFP6.
This error happens in development and in production systems.

you may need to check your bw front end support package level
from BEx Analyzer, menu 'business explorer'->'help'->'about'
you will get Version 3500.X.yyy -> X is the sp level
the latest sp for bw 3.5 front end is 7, can be downloaded here (need oss id)

But my OOTB attributes are reconciled fine. Eg: First Name, last Name, Person ID
But now I add another custom attribute eg: Attribute 1, I can see the values for this Attribute1=<something> in logs But there is nothing in event mgmt
query on a database client is also running fine. I made the value constant in the query as well, instead of getting from EBS tables
Do you think i should still try with superuser?

Query in item problem

Hellou everybody.
I need your help. I am using forms 6i and i have a block with some non DB items. But items are synchronize with DB items for viewing results. I use this items for diplaying results from DB tables. In enter query mode i write condition in this text items and execute query.
My problem is that i have text item which is VARCHAR2 type and I need to enter the condition for example > 1000. But i don't know how to convert this field to number. When i execute query under char type it not work properly (other result). I tried to change data type to number but i can't because it's not alowed to mixed types.
select * from table_name where pag_cis > 100 - i need this
select * from table_name where pag_cis > '100' - i have this

You may use the set_block_property procedure built-in and the 'default_where' property so as to execute the query using the contents of your item (with the name of column , of course).
Afterwards , you navigate to the db items block (with go_block('blockname')) and execute the query (built-in 'execute_query').

Hi, I'm having problem with the first constructor in this simplified example code... I want to create a "default" Comparator. I'm not quite sure how to do this.

Event if you fix the syntax problems, following the advice of the other posters, you'll have a semantic problem:
MyClass<E> is parameterized with an unbounded type parameter.
You cannot assume that E implements Comparable<E>.
What you'd really need is a parameterizd constructor like this (won't compile):public <C extends E & Comparable<E>> MyClass() {
this(new ComparableComparatorBridge<C>());
}Unfortunately, this isn't valid Java. I see two possibilities:
1. Derive from MyClass and introduce the additional bound on the type parameter of the subclass. Then you can create a default-constructor using the ComparableComparatorBridge in that subclass.
2. Add a static factory function to MyClass, like this:

Variables not seen in query properties

Dear friends,
I have a question as below,
I have 10 variables in a report and i have to change the order of this variables. for this when i go to query properties I dont see 2 variables of currency conversion.
Is there any other place where i can find these two missing variables in the report or any other alternate to fix my issue.

I believe I am having the same issue. I am using a currency conversion type that is set up with variables for currency unit, exchange rate type and date. The 3 variables show up on the variable screen but they seem to be inserted amongst my regular characteristic variables with no apparent logical order. It does not appear to be alphabetical by technical name or description.
In Query Properties -> Variable Sequence Tab, they are not listed with the regular variables which I can reorder using this tab.
I would like to be able to sequence all of the variables -- including those displayed on the variable screen because of the currency conversion type.

Using RSRT to find the Query properties

Hi All,
Can anyone let me know to find out the Query properties using RSRT if we dont have access to BEX Analyser etc.,
The properties like:

2.Exceptions built
3.Conditions built
4.Cell definitions built
5.Types of Key figures built
6.Query properties like Scaling factors, Show negative values as etc.,</b>
As we have in RSRT for seeing List of Objects in Free Characteristics, Filters, Rows, Columns etc.,
Will be waiting for Answers on this.
Points will be rewarded for sure.

Please go to RSRT --> select your query --> Selct query display as "HTML" and execute.
The next page you will the actual resule display on HTML page with all properties like Exception, Condition ,Properties, etc

Query on Web , Enhanced menu- Query properties- Transfer button not working

Hello to all experts,
When We execute a query from query designer on to the web, if a user wants to go to Enhanced menu->Query properties and select any of the options existing there example "Tabular view, supress zeros ect ect " when he clicks on the button "TRANSFER at the bottom " to transfer his selected options , nothing happens... I have never seen this ? Bw netweaver platform 3.5 highest running patch is SAPKW35012
Does this have to do with any global query settings where tto look in for these settings? Also if this may help When we open query designer in local view I see that many buttons are inactive "Cell view" "Switch to global " ect and in Web application designer the "VIEW" option is grayed out as well ... Were are these settings maintained? Does anyone have any input , the most inportant being why iis the query properties "TRANSFER" button in Enhanced menu not working, i have seen no note on this

Local query properties throwing UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION

Hi Gurus
After execution of a query, when I tried to change the query properties,like Zero suppression, currency conversion etc.. its getting an error message as given below and getting disconnected
"Program Error in Class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION
SYSTEM ERROR IN PROGRAM CL_RSR_REQUEST and form CHANM_SETTINGS_SET"
How can I resolve this issue, as this is affecting all queries?
Can somebody answer the above issues?

Hi,
It may be due to some Support Pack which you have not installed properly.
What you can do is copy the Same Quey with the Same Technical name, before doing this delete the existing one. It may works.

After running the query in query designer(in excel spread sheet), I am able to see two functionalities of a field ,"Properties" and "Query properties" if right click the mouse of a field.
But after running the query in WAD(Web Application Designer), I am not able to see the functionality "Query properties" if right click the mouse of a field. But I could see "Properties". Please help me how to add "Query properties" in WAD template.

Because the exclamation mark ("!") is a reserved operator, meaning soundex, and must appear before the word it applies to.

74 upgrade: query properties field: Operation in BWA/HANA

Dear all,
once we upgraded to BW 74 SP09 we experience some issues regarding query properties. In particular some queries are not having same value of field "Operation in BWA/HANA = RSRREPDIR-TREXOPS".
The value of the field in RSRT is different comparing to table. As example query has setting set to "6=exception aggregation (default)" however the corresponding field in the table is blank. My consumption was that all the queries after the upgrade should be set to value "2=Individual access per IProv".
I expected this as per SAP Note "1790426 - Processing MultiProviders in BWA" which saying about official SAP recommendation value of the field.
My questions:
1. Anyone experiencing same inconsistency between table and RSRT value?
2. What is than really recommended value? E.g. in BW74 SP09 the option 6 has a word "default" in brackets.. but above mentioned Note says differently...
PS: our BWA version is 7.20.32.00
