Eclipse JSF support?

Hi, How can I get a JSF autocomplete support on JSP when using Eclipse without the non-free plugins like MyEclipse, JSF Studio, etc? Is there a way? Thanks.

I'm developing an Eclipse plugin for JSF called FacesIDE.
http://amateras.sourceforge.jp/cgi-bin/fswiki_en/wiki.cgi?page=FacesIDE
It can edit faces-config.xml in visual and also supports
code completion and validation for JSP.

Is JSF Supported for JDK 1.3.1_03?

I think it's more of a J2EE SDK support issue and I think (but am not sure) you need J2EE1.4.
You may want to try this question on the Sun Java Studio Creator forum:
    http://swforum.sun.com/jive/forum.jspa?forumID=123
Probably not the most appropriate forum, but more correct than this forum which is focused on the Sun Web Application Framework (JATO).

  • JSF support on Oracle 10.1.4 Portals

    Hi,
We are planning to use Oracle Portals version 10.1.4
I have read that the new version of Portals can be used to publish JSF as portlets using JSF-Bridge (coming with Web center Suite).
    This looks little expensive option..
Does Oracle Portals support use of JSF and struts ???
    How about using ADF-struts ??
which is better and is supported in the new version 10.1.4 Portals??
We would like to use JSF specifications for our View components...what will be our best choice on Oracle Portals??
    Please let me know
    Thank you

  • Jsf support

One of our clients wants to use Jrun 4(updater 7) as a
    webserver.
And we use JSF 1.1 in our development.
So I just wanted to confirm whether JRun4 (U7) supports JSF
    1.1.
Ideally it should support as JSF 1.1 is based on Servlet 2.3
and JSP 1.2 which are supported in JRun.

  • Oracle enterprise pack of eclipse is supported on HPUX?

    Hi,
I like to know, oracle enterprise pack for eclipse can be installed on top of eclipse running on HP-UX.
    Thanks,
    Ganeshraj.S

OEPE is officially supported on win 32/64, linux 32/64 and mac os x. All other operating systems are not supported. Doesn't mean that they will not work. Just means that they haven't been sufficiently tested by Oracle.
On the other hand, we don't have any specific knowledge of incompatibilities with HPUX or Solaris, so you might as well give it a try if you have that need. You will just have to piece your install together from the base Eclipse platform and WTP (the link in my last reply) before adding OEPE. The other thing to watch out for is JVM compatibility. OEPE will not run on anything older than Java 6, so verify you have that installed. Also, I wouldn't try your luck with a boutique JVM. Stick to the main players (Sun/Oracle HotSpot, BEA/Oracle JRockit or IBM's one). In particular there have been reports of Open JDK having trouble running Eclipse, so I'd stay away from that.
    Hope that helps.

  • Eclipse 3 support

    Hi,
Does anyone know if and when NetWeaver DS will support Eclipse 3?
    Dick

Please check the "Java EE 5 Preview" Version of NetWeaver.
It is based on Eclipse 3.1 and contains the Eclips WTP Toolset.

  • Add jsf support in ep app

    hi,
jsf needs faces-conf.xml and web.xml to construct itself, can i add these files in an ep app?
i have tried, but the server can not find the taglib.what can i do ?

If you can't wait for JSF 2 GA or don't want to use beta, look at project Dynamic Faces. It looks like JSF 2 AJAX support was based on the Dynamic Faces project, so it should be easy to switch from DynaFaces to JSF 2.

  • Does JSF support component with dynamic fields?

Webapps forms usually map a input text field to a java bean property. This mapping is one to one. I would like to know if the JSF can handle the situation where a form is dynamically generated with variable number of fields (eg. check boxes) and having all the values post back to the server without having a java bean mapping (because the fields is not known) and still be able to collect the values on the server.
    Any help is appreciated.

    ckx,
The components don't require a model reference (i.e. assocaition with a JavaBean). You can access all of the components on the posting page on the server, so you could definitely get all of the values that way. You can build up the tree dynamically as well.
So the short answer is yes :-).

  • Oracle truly committed to (help) deliver first class Eclipse BPEL support?

Things are seemingly grinding to a halt, looking at the BPEL Project Milestone Plan:
    http://www.eclipse.org/bpel/developers/milestone_plan.php
    What's up?

Yes - that is basically what it comes down to, if Oracle gets their way - I know.
IMO it would be fair if Oracle then officially declares it will stop their effort in providing BPEL functionality to the Eclipse platform, instead of making false claims of being open and committed to it.

  • How to use Apache MyFaces components in JSF pages + Eclipse?

I've managed to write my JSF web app. in Eclipse jee, and test it on JBoss 4.2 GA, within Eclipse, but how to import Apache MyFaces components into Eclipse JSF plug-in?
If I can't import it nicely, how to use those components directly in JSF pages?

The Tomahawk component library provides MyFaces components. Install it as you would any other component library.
