Eclipse Proposals pane doesn't have JMF classes.

I have the following problem:
- I using newest Eclipse 3.5.1. and newest Java JDK and I installed newest JMF with default configuration successfully.
- In Eclipse Editor, when I type: import javax.media.
I don't see Manager class in Default Proposals pane (I mean Intellisense) although I see it in JRE System Library folder expanded in Project Explorer.
When I typed import javax.media.Manager manually, the compiler underlined it as an error "Access restriction...".
- I googled for that and found out a temporary solution:

but I don't like that solution because it just hide the error. I'd like to solve that problem completely without potential errors.
Help me solve these:
1) I want Manager class to appear in Proposals pane.
2) I want fix that error without configuring Errors/Warnings (I mean fix it, not hide it).

JMF Diagnostics applet - how to resolve "JMF Classes not found"

I am still having problems trying to get my USB camera to run in an applet.
I'm using Windows XP with IE 6.
I found the JMF Diagnostic Applet and when I run it, I get the following:
Java 1.1 compliant browser.....Maybe
JMF classes.....Not Found
The text below says that CLASSPATH needs to include jmf.jar
I have checked that and it does. I added all the jar files to the CLASSPATH as well and that did not help.
I saw another post that said the JMFHOME environment variable needed to be set to the main JMF directory.
I did that and still get the same error.
Can anyone tell me what I need to set in order to make the JMF Diagnostic applet work???

I have exactly the same problem. Running XP pro and Java 5. Installed JMF2.1.1e and the diagnostic doesn't work. Don't know how to verify or set the CLASSPATH but assumed it was more plug and play.
I'm a student and am writing my final year project which is supposed to be a multi-client concurrency based video clip app. All the sample codes I've seen make it look quite easy. I was wanting to prototype my concepts before I continue (glad there are some nifty buffer controls) I've unistalled, reinstalled, restarted an no joy and the only help that seems might work includes loads more files than what my distribution has (just have jmf.jar, customizer.jar, multiplayer,jar, mediaplayer.jar and sound.jar and that's it.
I was a little worred about the need to have the API on my test client machines (aka housemates) now I'm really worried.

I can't broadcast with the built in iSight webcam... how would I zoom in or zoom out? or how would I pan? I've seem people doing it walking with their laptops but that's not an option for me... there's nothing wrong with my USB ports but that's neither an option to stream video because as far as I know through USB you can't connect video in apple operating systems ..you can for sure plug any video cam or photo camera through usb but as a drive to transfer data not as a live video camera... is by firewire an old interface developed by apple that you can connect all sorts of cameras to apple computers... unfortunately my new sony HDR-AX2000 camcorder doesn't have firewire output...

Dynamic mapping: I have no Class. I want to get database columns into a map

I want to practice dynamic mapping.
I don't know the class in development time. I know the attributes only on runtime. Then I create the table, and want to practice OR Mapping to get and set data in this table while all I have is aa map of fields (Strings/int for direct-to-field mappings, Lists, Objects, etc.) - against this new table.
I have no Class. Neither source nor Class object in hand.
In Hibernate it is possible and very well documented. It's called "Dynamic Model". I have to get a special Hib session from a session i already have, and it starts to work with Maps and not real classes and objects.
Here is the command in Hib: sess.getSession(EntityMode.MAP);

We have been working with dynamic models and byte code weaving for a while now. I took some work I did a few months back now and upgraded it to work with EclipseLink JPA. I have started creating an example within EclipseLink to both illustrate how EclipseLink can be extended to deliver this dynamic mapping and also to start consolidating our existing dynamic support in our SDO and DBWS components into a more general solution that be used out of the box with JPA.
I have started a wiki page to illustrate how this functionality can be used. Take a look and let me know if this might address your requirements.

Spry tabbed panels and "The tag: "li" doesn't have an attribute: "tabindex" ..."

Hi,
I've been using the DW CS4 "Spry Tabbed Panels" on a few pages. When I validate the website (with DW tool for that), I get the following messages for each use of the tabbed panels: The tag: "li" doesn't have an attribute: "tabindex" in currently active versions. [XHTML 1.0 Transitional].
Should I worry about this? I'd like to have a code as clean and XHTML valid as possible. Is there a way to fix this so the message doesn't come up anymore?

If validation is important to you, you need to remove tabindex. Should you worry about it? Not really. Sometimes it makes sense to ignore validation to achieve a particular goal, which is why Spry widgets use tabindex in a technically invalid way.

What is the use of have 3 Class loaders and why not only one

In java we have 3 class loaders i.e BootStrap loader, Extension loader and System loader. Why can't we have just one?
And what is the user of Extension loader?

First comes the Bootstrap class loader, it loads the classes contained in java.lang
Next comes the Extention classloader, which loads vendor specific classes, like in case of SUN jvm the extention classloader will load the jars contained
in /jre/lib/ext, that is why if you place any jar file in this directory, it will automatically be loaded at runtime. If the class could not be loaded by ext class loader, the the system classloader tries to load it. Relation between ext and bootstrap class loader is same. If the class not found ClassNotFoundException is thrown..

You may want to swap out OpenJDK for the official version as compatibility isn't always guaranteed - any sort of development would require the "proper" java stack in my opinion.
Apologies - tomcat does need to be installed separately. It is quite a while since I have had to reinstall netbeans / reconfigure it

I just installed J2SDK and tomcat in windows xp. I've made jsp files and beans. The first page is customerlogin.jsp which takes user id and password in a form. It sends the request to authenticate.jsp. Would you please give me a few important steps that need to be done?
My directory structure is as follows:

The jsp doesn't find AuthenBean class. It complains about it.

Your problem is in web.xml. Only servlet classes need to be mapped. Your bean class should not be.

Yes. your MBP has bluetooth. Click on the Apple menu and select about this mac then system report, does it have anything under the bluetooth tab? Is bluetooth turned on in the bluetooth preference pane?

NotFilter doesn't have equals/hashCode implementation

Hi Guys,
I'm using 3.4.2/411 and NotFilter doesn't have an equals/hashCode implementation - this means that it doesn't get properly removed when you unregister a listener/CQC.
It's easy to work around by extending the class, but it would be nice to have a proper fix.

We were able to call using "most recent call" in Facetime, but now I can't go and control that new iMac remotely to help with some email concerns the user is having. I'm trying to not personalize this too much, but it's grandkids talking to Grandma and Mom and Dad trying to solve new machine hiccups. Normally, I could just go in via iChat and control the other machine and troubleshoot, but I can't do it with Facetime only. My buddy list doesn't see the other computer even though we are connected on Facetime right now. My name is not highlighted for the other computer. What could have gone so wrong?

Error trying to relate tables "...either doesn't exist or doesn't have a relationship to any table available in the current context"

I have two tables;
The first is my Order table which has a single row for each unique order - there are no duplicate order numbers.The order id column here is called
OrderID.
The second is my Submissions table which is similar to a transactions table, there are multiple submissions for every order. This table also contains an
OrderID column that contains the relevant OrderID.
The submission table also contains a calculated field called Date and a calculated field called
MaxDate field which is the date of the most recent submission that relates to any particular order in cases where there are multipple.
My goal is to add a column to the Order table this MaxDate column. The reason for duplicating the information rather than linking the tables is because I need to create more calculated columns in the
Orders table based on this value.
I have created a relationship between the two tables however when I use:
=RELATED(Submissions[MaxDate]
I get this error:
"...either doesn't exist or doesn't have a relationship to any table available in the current context"
I don't really understand why this would be, because MaxDate definitely exists and contains only numerical values. What is more strange is that if I try and combine the data through a pivot table it actually works! I can create a pivot with OrderID in the first
column and then associate it with MaxDate from the Submissions
table as the value.
Can anyone help me understand what is the problem here?
P.S. if it is useful the formula I'm using to calculate the MaxDate is:
=MAXX(FILTER(Submissions,Submissions[OrderID] = EARLIER(Submissions[OrderID])),[Date])
