iam Useing Eclipse sdk3.1
after exporing the jar the manifest is changing but iam updating manually but when iam runingg the jar file

Switching back to JDK 1.4.2 and the problem still persists. I found this post which describes what I'm doing and the resulting behaviour:

It appears that eclipse needs to be run from Finder rather than Spotlight.

Eclipse with Tomcat 6 Problem

Hello,
When I try to start Tomcat 6 in Eclipse, I get the following error message:
Publishing failed
Could not load the Tomcat server configuration at \Servers\Tomcat v6.0 Server at localhost-config. The configuration may be corrupt or incomplete.
Resource is out of sync with the file system: '/Servers/Tomcat v6.0 Server at localhost-config/web.xml'.
In the beginning I thought the problem might be caused by me inserting a few changes to the web.xml global file and maybe corrupting it in the process. However, I restored the original file and the problem still persists. I have no problem starting Tomcat using the standard start-up script, which indicates web.xml is actually valid, it fails just when starting from Eclipse.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem is?

[SOLVED] Eclipse in chroot environment - problem with launching it wit

Hello,
I have a problem running eclipse (set in 32bit chroot on 64bit OS) with schroot. It was working formerly, but now launching it causes crash.
Other chrooted apps (like skype or cups) are working properly.
Error log generated by openjdk.

Well, I've noticed that 'schroot -p eclipse' invoked as root works. Can it imply that this is some permission problem?

[ Eclipse SLI Memory Slot Problem ]

I get my motherboard back from internal no display problem [repaired] but now I got a new problem with my Eclipse SLI board. I have a Corsair 3Gb (3x1Gb DDR3 Triple Channel) 1333 XMS3 memory, the problem is this, every time I insert 1 memory on slot 3 and check on my Memory-Z inside the BIOS, the BIOS hang, but if I continue loading and boot with Windows, Windows will load like there's nothing wrong, when I insert 1 memory on slot 5 and check the details on Memory-Z inside my BIOS, it shows details about my memory, but if I continue loading and boot with Windows, Windows crash with BSOD.
I try my memory to my brothers motherboard [Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5] and all of my memory works good even in he's BIOS, we can check or view all of my memory details. I also try to use my brothers memory [G.Skill Ripjaws 6Gb (3x2GbDDR3 Triple Channel) 1600 ] to my Eclipse SLI and the same problem happen. Every time we insert memory on slot 5 Windows crash with BSOD but we can check details on BIOS and slot 3 hangs every time we check detail on BIOS but load Windows fine.
As part of the rules here in MSI Forum, here are my specs
Processor : Intel Core i7 920 [stock]
Memory : Corsair 3Gb (3x1Gb Triple Channel) DDR3 1333 XMS3
Video Card : Inno3D GTX460 1Gb 256Bit

Just a guess, but I have the feeling they don't have a like replacement available, & they don't have an upgrade board such as an E. Plus or a BB X to give you. If you like having a PCI slot, trust me, you probably wouldn't like a BB X anyway. An Eclipse Plus would be nice though.

I experimented a bit with Overspeed Protection enabled and disabled, however i did not notice any difference in this regard, the multiplier still drops to 20 on high load for me.
However this problem do not happen if i set multiplier to 20, it is only the 21 multiplier that have this issue.
This is on a MSI X58 Eclipse SLI Motherboard + i7 920 D0 stepping + 6gb GSKILL Trident 16000 CL9 RAM.

Scenario:
I have a report that displays the Function Group Name for a certain individual and all the Functions included in that Function Group. The following are the tables involved:
USER, FUNC_GROUP (contains description of the group) and FUNC_GROUP_LIST (the actual functions in the FUNC_GROUP).
The SQL command for the main report is: select id, name, description from FUNC_GROUP, USER where FUNC_GROUP.id = USER.default_func_group_id
The sub-report which lists the functions for the Function Group has the following SQL command: select id, name from FUNC where func_group_id = <main report's FUNC_GROUP.id>
The problem is my current code still flags missingParameterValueError error whenever I changed the DB location and set the parameters.

I am not using any stored procs, I just formulated an SQL for retrieval in both main and subreport.

Additional info:
The current template I'm using accepts the value from main report (FUNC_GROUP.id) which is in turn used as a parameter in the SQL command in the subreport. This throws an error when exporting via JRC.
However, I tried some modifications in the SQL command in the subreport. I've included the Function Group ID in the select clause (select id, name, func_group_id from FUNC) instead of using it in the where clause. Then in the linking of the main and the subreport, I chose filter data in subreport by func_group_id matching FUNC_GROUP.id in main report. Exporting in JRC this report worked well and deliver the same data as the original template. The problem is I think it takes longer because all data in FUNC table is retrieved. And also as a framework developer, I prefer not limiting the developers regarding the style on how they connect main and subreport in CRW (I'd personally say I'm more fond of using the original template as I think the modified template retrieves unneeded data).

WTK 3.0 + eclipse 3.4 emulator problem

when i run my midlet application, wtk emulator crashes with this error:
"Cannot create device connection: Emulator 1 terminated while waiting for it to register!"

I have version 3.0.9.8.3A, but probably it didn't change much. You can export applications also from Portal (Navigator -> Applications -> Export) and then you have tool appimp_gui to import it.

J2ME/Eclipse Pulsar/Polish UI - problem with Eclipse integration of JPolish

Hi guys,
I have J2ME SDK 3.0 here with Eclipse Pulsar (with mobile tools for java) and I want to use the J2ME Polish libraries.
I install J2ME Polish 2.1.2 and set the eclipse home directory and the "Integrate mepose with eclipse" tick or something like that.
Anyway, when I restart everything after the installation I can't see the plugin view in my eclipse.
I also can't manage to manually download the plugin from Help>Install new Software>add url : ww.j2mepolish.org/mepose
Any ideas ? I'm new to J2ME at all.

Msi eclipse sli 7520 voltage problem above 25x

its all good and well that theres so many beta bios shame none of them make the sli a great bored
it needs a bios where you set your votage in the bios and it stays as you have set
i set 1.51v and get 1.5- 1.2-1.4-1.5-1.2 and finally 1.63v crashing the system,
this only happens above 25 multyplyer anyone got any ideas ?

I wanted to make sure the issue is not tied to the Base Clock Frequency. Now you can base your problem report solely on the Multiplier of the Extreme Edition Processor (whose whole point is that the Multiplier is adjustable). Evocarlos, maybe you can make another video clip that shows the VCore issue @133 x 25 and post a link here. You can then point the support to this thread and/or to your video clip.
Sometimes the technical Supporters have a tendency to consider OC related issues as minor problems that are tied to operating the system beyond specifications and tell you "we suggest, you do not overclock your system for best stability etc.". However, in this case it is pretty clear that the problem is not tied to changing the actual base clock frequency of the board but to the fact that a supported processor and its officially supported feature (increasing the ratio) is not fully supported after all. Base your arguement on that and I think they should be willing to take a look at this immediately.

Msi Eclipse Plus (Sli) Boot Problem !

I have a problem , but i'm not sure if it's a motherboard problem ! So i request some help to clearly identify the troubleshoot .
When i try to launch my computer i got 4 bip and message on the Debug led (on the back of the motherboard) :
- It say FF
And on the DLed 2 i have the message :
- CPU Ini.
FF means status = Power on and Initialize CPU (see in the booklet of MSi Motherboard)
All is running : CPU Fan and front fan turning; Power on Hard drive ; GTX295 Led is Green , but nothing happen . The card stay in freeze position .
I have check the PSU 1000w Corsair . GTX295 have power , Motherboard led of CPUpower is on (6 blu Led )
I have unplug all component on motherboard except PSU and still the same message and status
I have pull off the PSU and press the Cmos reset button .
I have Pull out the battery of the motherboard for 30 sec , still nothing
So i don't understand what happened . May be CPU is down or the motherboard is down i don't know if there is a solution to identify the problem
All Component are new from monday .

Compilation problem in Eclipse 3.0/ Fedora Core 3

I have an eclipse project which just now started to give me this problem.
When I run a class, I get the error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: [class name]
When I look in the folder where the java file resides, no class file has been generated so
its no surprise that the error has been thrown.
However, if I create a new project from scratch everything runs smoothly.
Does anyone have any ideas/solutions.

sometimes eclipse does run into problems compiling a project, you can try:
Project -> Clean... to rebuild the project from scratch.

My Problem: when I created my first webservice project . In all the log4j.xml files in the project. It gave an error saying that log4j.dtd file not found inside /root/workspace/SampleProject1/webcontent/WEB-INF/src/log4j.dtd
Please provide me some suggestions to clean this error

Flex Builder 3 under Eclipse - project .settings problem

I've been experiencing some odd problems with a project using FlexBuilder 3 plug-in with Eclipse.
The first problem I've noticed is that a file under the .settings dir has a red 'x' beside it. The offending
file is org.eclipse.jst.common.project.facet.core.prefs. I've left the file as is until I understand how it became corrupt.
The second problem is that .as and .mxml files are no longer being opened in the Flex Builder editor -
the are being opened in TextPad, which it the default editor outside of Flex Builder. I've tried all of the available
editors and none of them work under Flex Builder.
The third problem is that when I try to create a new Flex Builder project from New->Project-> there is no
option for a FlexBuilder project.
The Flex Development perspective is visible in the top right hand corner as usual. When I select Open Perspective
there is no Flex perspective.
Should I just reinstall the FlexBuilder plugin?

TimesTen and Eclipse java development problem

Hello all
Using TimesTen with JDBC in from a Java code developed on Eclipse I encounter a problem: when running the program in debug mode, everything works fine. Running without debug, or outside Eclipse, results in the following error:
java.sql.SQLException: [TimesTen][TimesTen 7.0.5.0.0 ODBC Driver][TimesTen]TT0837: Cannot attach data store shared-memory segment, error 8 -- file "db.c", lineno 7891, procedure "sbDbCreate"
Does anyone know the cause of this, or can point me to logs or other resources I can look into?

Okay, it is almost certainly an address space issue. Unfortunately 32-bit Windows is about the most problematic platform from this perspective. A TimesTen datastore is a single, contiguous memory region of size approximating PermSize+TempSize+LogBuffSize+DS header. In your case that will be about 1098 Mb. To 'connect' to this datastore, it is necessary to map the datastore memory (it is a shared mapping allocated from the Windows paging file) into your process (in this case the JVM) as a single region. Unfortunately, unlike most O/S, in Windows shared libraries (DLLs) have to be loaded at fixed locations in the address space defined when the DLL was linked. This means that although your process has a 4 GB address space (with quite a bit reserved for WIndows and other uses) that space is often highly fragmented with various DLLs (system and application) located all over the place. This means that often it is hard to find a single contiguous address space region to map a large datastore.

To verify that this is the issue, could you try reducing the datastore size to say PermSize=128, TempSize=64 and see if you can connect then. If you can then you will have to experiment by slowly increasing Perm and Temp until you find the maximum size store you can accomodate. If you are using no logging (Are you sure that is what you want? You will end up with a single threaded datastore if you do that...) you could reduce LogBuffSize to the smallest allowed value (128 Kb).
If it does turn out to be an address space issue then you have 3 options:
1. Live with a smaller datastore size.
2. Try and re-arrange the memory map by rebasing DLLs to create a larger contiguous region. Note that ijn any event it is very unlikely you will ever be able to exceed ~1.5 Gb for a datastore.
3. Switch to 64-bit Windows, 64-bit TimesTen and a 64-bit JVM. Then the only limit on datastore size is available RAM.
