Crystal Reports for Eclipse Version 2 - XML, XSD Report. Need hep !!!
Dear all,
I'm using Crystal Reports for Eclipse Version 2
I have looked for "Programmatically Create Reports off of XML or Web Services Data Sources", then i found some ways to do this.
But all the time, we have to use both XSD and XML files for Report Data Sources.
My question is:
1. Can we just add XSD file to report to define or update the report data definition only (no report data) ?
2. Can we just add XML file to report to update report data only (do not change report definition) ?
Anyone who have solved it, please give me an example.
Thanks in advanced.

Java3D + Newer Eclipse Version - Access Restriction (solution + question)
Current eclipse versions don't go well with java3d. Programs that worked fine before now produce 100s of strange errors, e.g.
<tt>"Access restriction: The type SimpleUniverse is not accessible due to restriction on required library C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\lib\ext\j3dutils.jar"</tt>
Java3D is installed correctly and everything was (and is) working perfectly well with older eclipse versions. I googled for a solution and found out that changing
<i>Windows -> Preferences -> Java -> Compiler -> Errors/Warnings -> Deprecated and restricted API -> Forbidden reference (access rules)</i>
to <i>"warning / ignore"</i> eliminated the error(s).
Can anyone explain me what is going on here? Why is Java3D "Deprecated and restricted"? Is the default setting of eclipse correct or oversuspicious? Did I miss anything else? Will the next java3d / eclipse version be fix this? Do I have to fix this?
Many thanks in advance!
IngoHi,
my Eclipse Helios SDK 3.6.1 installation also shows this behavior, even if all classes of all three Java 3D-jars are declared as accessible in their access rules! See:
Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Libraries JRE System Library [JavaSE-1.6] -j3dcore.jar, -j3dutils.jar, -vecmath.jar
I have no idea what is going on here. Following work arounds do the job well without accepting 'forbidden references':
A. Per project add the three Java 3D-jars to the Libraries and place them on the top:
Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Libraries AddExternal JARs.. ..\jre6\lib\ext\j3dcore.jar, j3dutils.jar, vecmath.jar
Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Order and Export Top j3dcore.jar j3dutils.jar vecmath.jar
B. An alternative is to create and add a 'User Library' in this way:
Windows -> Preferences -> Java -> Build Path -> User Libraries 1. New: J3DAll, 2. Add JARs.. select all three at ..\jre6\lib\ext\j3dcore.jar, j3dutils.jar, vecmath.jar
Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Libraries Add Library .. -> User Library -> Next select J3DAll Finish
Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Order and Export Top J3DAll
Does this help? August -

http://mkblog.exadel.comHave you already tested it? Is it better than netbeans plug-in? What are the new features and why I should change to plug-in for Eclipse?
Best regards,
André Rezende -
I have a fresh install of Eclipse Version 3.3
I used the update manager (as per instructions) but when I try and install the plugin I get the following error
Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information.
Crystal Reports for Eclipse (1.0.1.v671) requires plug-in "org.eclipse.wst.rdb.core (1.0.0)", or compatible.
I have searched high and low for this and get nowhere.
Eclipse Version
Version: 3.3.0

Hi,
I am a new one for Gyrex. And I have followed the wiki page to setup the Gyrex develop environment, but I failed. Some bundles cannot be resolved due to the imcomplete dependencies. Such as:
org.eclipse.equinox.registry
Missing Constraint: Import-Package: javax.xml.parsers;version="0.0.0"
Missing Constraint: Import-Package: org.xml.sax;version="0.0.0"
Missing Constraint: Import-Package: org.xml.sax.helpers;version="0.0.0"
org.apache.solr.client.solrj and org.apache.solr.core
Missing Constraint:Import-Package:org.apache.commons.httpclient;version="3.1.0"
Missing Constraint:Import-Package:org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods;version="3.1.0"
Missing Constraint:Import-Package:org.apache.commons.httpclient.methods.multipart;version="3.1.0"
The eclipse platform I used is Mars Release (4.5.0).
Can anyone guide me to setup the target platform?Hi Gunnar,
Many thanks for your help.
Now I can started the dev environment now. While, I got an error when I try to access the cluster management page in the web console (http://localhost:3110).
The screenshot for the error is attached. And the detail log while starting the environment is as below:

Eclipse version for SAP MI 2.5 SP09
Hi,
I have few queries
1. Please let me know the Eclipse IDE version to be used for SAP MI 2.5 SP09. Where can I install it from.
2. Where can I find the installation for MDK for SAP MI 2.5 SP09
3. I have SAP Web AS 6.40 SP09. I am currently using SAP ME 2.1 client version. If I develop applications with ME 2.1 will they work for SAP MI client.
Thanks in advance
Raja SekharHi Raja,
We also started developing MI Applications in NWD Studio SP 09 . Applications created using this version is not generic , since using the metadata information , its creating Proxy classes for each Sync BO used in our application.(meta data informations are in meRepMeta.xml file that we got from the MI server itself wrto particular MCD). Proxy classes contain the getter() and setter()(if we have the provision to create new entries) , corresponding to each fields in the Structure we used in our BAPI Wrapper. This proxy classes totally depends upon this meRepMeta.xml file.
Imagine , u have already created the application and u want to change the application in this version . At this point of time u will face too much of difficulty..
From SP 11 itself , the application are generic applications , it will not create Proxy classes that i mentioned earlier. Here we can use the adwantage of SmartSync APIs itself. ..
Applications in SP 9 and SP11 are entirely different . it is too difficult to migrate from SP 9 to even SP11..
So my opinion is u can start developing application from SP11 itself . But so many bugs in SP11 also..
even in MDK SP 13 some bugs are there ..
But star developing applications from Studio SP 13 or SP11...
But the MI server must be compatible. MI server is backward compatible.. So MI client must be in equal or lower version than that of MI server..

CR for Eclipse Version 2 broke Command for Thick Client reports.
Report uses a SQL Command as the data source. Then inside a formula field, it formats a Command field. I'm getting an error when I open, run and try to display the ReportViewerFrame. I get this:
Exception in formula '{@fmtGpcNo}' at '{Command.gpcNo}'.
This field name is not known.
So, Command SQL in a CR does not work anymore. I saw a web example for Command that uses a SQL file. Can this be done with a thick client? If so, how? If not, ouch, I'll have to revert back to version 1.07.
Thanks,
GregDYes, we are. We have to set the password unless there is a way to save the password in the report. The CR designer always asks for the password. Is there away to save the password in the report from the designer?
Do you have an ETA on the bug fix?
It is good to know the problem is being looked into.

How to keep preferences moving to a new eclipse version
I want to move all of my settings from the previous Coldfusion builder install on eclipse 3.4 to new Coldfusion install on 3.5 without having to setup all of my synchronize sites, extenstions and other preferences. I am not sure where these items are stored.
ThanksHere's a screen shot of how iTunes Connect's UI looks like. As said, the existing leaderboard can not be selected from it. (Normally I see a small "Edit" button next to "Leaderboards" header from which the leaderboards can be selected.)
