Edge Animate - bei Klick nach Animation bei Layer 2 anhalten

Hallo,
ich habe eine Animation und 5 Layer.
Bei Klick auf einen von 5 Buttons soll am Anfang immer die gleiche Animation ablaufen und am Ende bei dem zum Button gehörendem Layer anhalten.
Meine Animation sieht so aus
Start Animation ------------stop Layer1-------------stop Layer2------------stop Layer3
Die Animation laüft also bis zum Stop von Layer 1 soll aber wenn ich auf meinen 2. Button klicke bei Layer 2 anhalten.
Momentan sieht mein Code bei Klick so aus und bleibt dann logischer weise bei Stop Layer1 stehen
sym.play();
Wie muss nun mein Code aussehen damit erst die Animation abläuft und dann bei Layer 2 anhält?
Und natürlich bei Klick auf Button 3, bei Layer 3
Für eine Hilfe wäre ich dankbar.

ich habe da nur den Code Click, Abspielen ab start bis ani_aus(siehe Bild)
und soll dann anhalten bei leipzig.
Beim nächsten Button soll die Animation wieder ab start bis ani_aus und anhalten bei muenchen
usw.
Zum besseren Verständnis habe ich mal die Animation auf einen Testserver rungeladen. HOME

Html5 animation: Flash CC vs. Edge Animate?

I've been using Flash for many years, and am now creating html5 animations. Just curious, why would I want to use Edge animate to create html5 animation, when I could just make an animation in Flash CC, and then export as html5 canvas? Do both Flash and Edge basically render the same thing (in terms of html/css/js), or are there differences? Thanks!

Re the topic of this discussion - I'd been wondering the same thing.
Until recently, I assumed there was no real difference other than the interface (I prefer the Edge layout - it's closer to video editing - but wish they would undo the changes made to the code editor since CC 2014. I need as many JavaScript hints as possible!).
But now I'm looking at the area of ebooks and there are problems with Edge animations on iPads, even though they are indeed HTML5. See Adobe discussion here: https://forums.adobe.com/message/6550864
On the one hand, iBooks may have a problem with content in iFrames. (I'm not into coding - but the Adobe guy in the other forum alluded to as much.)
On the other hand, even the GitReader app on iPad won't interact with the Edge animation within an iFrame. ...But it will with Flash & Captivate HTML output.
Could it be that Edge uses its own library of Edge JS, whereas the libraries used by Flash Captivate (CreateJS) are supported by iOS?
Whatever the reason, I'm now investing time in Flash HTML5 content over Edge.

Using Edge Animate with Captivate

I'd like to use Edge Animate to do some animation work and then bring this in to captivate. Is there any way to do this?
I'm very new to all this, so not to sure the best methodology to use to add some interactive elements into Captivate. Right now I'm using custom illustrations designed in Illustrator that I want to make interactive and animated in Captivate.

Okay, It looks like using the Adobe Captivate App Packager is the way to go in order to get an Edge Animation into Captivate http://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/captivate-app-packager.html.
My issue is that I can't seem to select the adobe edge animation (either the project file or the published web folder) from the Adobe Captivate App Packager.
Has anyone succesfully done this and willing to share their wisdom

Brauche Hilfe bei Touch-Aktion in Edge Animate

ich bräuchte Hilfe beim Bau einer Aktion für eine App (DPS)
Hier kurz ein Beispiel:
Ich habe ein Edge Animate Dokument in das ich 4 Bilder importiert habe.
Später auf dem iPad soll, wenn ich z.B. auf Bild 1 tippe, das Bild abgedunkelt werden und Text erscheinen.
Das Ganze zu bauen ist kein Problem und es funktioniert auch. Doch wenn ich das für alle angelegt habe und beispielsweise auf Bild 1 Tippe
wird die Aktion auch bei den anderen 3 Bildern abgespielt, klar ist ja alles in einer Timeline.
Hat Jemand einen Tipp wie ich es hinbekommen könnte, dass das unabhänging von einander geschieht ohne das ich mehrere Dokumente anlege?

Hast Du in Photoshop den Generator ausprobiert? Der macht auf Basis der Ebenennamen automatisch Exporte und aktualisiert bei allen Änderungen. Man muss nur in den Ebenenname einige Eigenschaften der zu exportierenden Daten integrieren. Dazu im Handbuch nachlesen.

Animate: Webfonts fehlen in IE bei mehreren Animationen in einer HTML-Seite

ich habe zwei Animationen erstellt mit Edge Animate CC 2014.1 und verwende den Webfont Vera Sans.
In der Vorschau von Edge Animate wird alles korrekt angezeigt.
Mit Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 habe ich beide Animationen untereinander eingefügt.
Innerhalb Chrome ist alles in Ordnung, kein Webfont-Problem.
Verwende ich IE 11, dann wird nur bei der im HTML-Code zuerst genannten Animation der Webfont korrekt dargestellt, in der zweiten Animation auf der gleichen Seite wird stattdessen ein Defaultfont (Arial) verwendet.
Der Script-Befehl "<script>var __adobewebfontsappname__="dreamweaver"</script><script src="http://use.edgefonts.net/vera-sans:n4:default.js" type="text/javascript"></script>" ist am Anfang der HTML eingebaut.

Beim Opera habe ich soeben festgestellt, dass wenn ich die

Adobe Muse: Edge Animate (OAM) per Klick starten möglich?

Hallo zusammen!
Ich habe mich die letzten Tage mit Adobe Muse und Edge Animate auseinandergesetzt.
Und gerade Edge Animate hat es mir total angetan auch gerade in Kombination mit Adobe Muse - welches mir auch gefällt.
Nun habe ich eine Frage:
Kann ich in Muse oder Animate irgendwie einstellen, dass die Wiedergabe erst mit einem Klick startet?
Wäre prima und geht bestimmt nur sehe ich aktuell den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht.

Hallo Stefux,
bei Edge Animate brauchst Du dafür kein Script. Du kannst links auf die Aktionsklammer neben ein Objekt klicken und wählst dann den click Event und rechts im Code Editor dann Abspielen aus.
Symbolaktionen lassen sich über die Wiedergabefunktion in der Zeitleiste steuern.
Wir können uns das ja Morgen im eSeminar noch mal ansehen.

Brauche dringend Hilfe..
Bin gerade dabei ein Magazin mit DPS digital zu publizieren. Hab bei meiner Recherche viele Magazine entdeckt die einen Effekt haben,
in der sich die Animation durch das scrollen mit dem Finger steuern lässt. D.h. der User kann interaktiv steuern.
(Beispielsweise in folgenden Apps: Victoria Secret, Porsche Christopherus, BMW Magazin).
Also eine Animation zu erstellen in Edge Animate ist nicht das Problem, nur welchen Code muss ich dann an welcher Stelle einfügen um diesen Effekt zu erzielen?

Responsive scaling of animation in Edge Animate

I am inserting an animation into a responsive web page. I have gotten the design to scale in either direction (horizontally and vertically) in both Animate and a browser but cannot get the animation to scale in both height and width when the browser window size is just narrowed or the page is served up to a mobile device (tablet or phone.) I created a simple test comparison at this link: http://www.users.cloud9.net/~agoltz/edgeTest/animateTest.html I've embedded the CSS styles in the document so they can be evaluated (be kind...I'm an amateur)
If the browser window is narrowed the animation just gets narrower but doesn't scale vertically. The static image scales in both directions as the width of the window or device narrows. I'm looking for the same behavior with the animation. I hope I'm just missing something (not an unusual occurance) and not that this is a limitation of Animate since Flash is no longer a universal option. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'm impressed, particularly with the first one (http://www.lab2x.com/pacificdental/) because it almost appears to be scale-to-fit in places. In fact, for a moment, you had me fooled and I thought you'd solved it!
I think you've come up with probably the best possible solution at the moment.
Let me just check that I've understood your site correctly?:
You have 3 versions of the header panel that the site swaps to as the browser size is reduced:
1. The large one. This is an Edge Animate animation and uses all the feature in the 'Resize' lesson - ie. it scales horizontally but the height remains the same.
2. The middle one. This is a smaller Edge Animate animation with the same features as above.
3. The small one. (This is the one that fooled me for a moment!). This may be Edge Animate - BUT it's not an animation at all. It is a still image - and therefore able to scale proportionately
Just a suggestion - you could go further and add some animation to the smallest header. If you only use images, not graphics, then you can achieve scaleable animation. Just try making the graphics png files with transparency. Might help if each layer png is the same width and height as the background image. Only issue is - I don't know if the file size will be prohibitively big.

#1 Have you procured your domain name and web hosting yet? You'll need to do that to publish your pages online.
#2 When you sign-up for web hosting, the company will send you FTP log-in credentials to your site's web server. You will enter this info into your DW Site Definition. Site > New Site > See screenshots below:
Under Servers: Root Directory is whatever your hosting company tells you to use. This varies by web host. Some commonly used ones are public_html, www or htdocs.
After your site definition is set-up, hit the TEST button to confirm it's working. If it's not connecting, go to More Options.
Go to the Files Panel (F8). Use the UP Arrow to PUT files to remote server.
Use the DOWN Arrow to GET files from server to your local site folder.
Post back when you have finished uploading your work to the remote server.

Edge Animate export to animated .gif?

Hi everyone, I just started using Edge Animate and have completed my project. My final deliverable I am looking for is an animated gif with everything contained in it. Can Edge do this? I think I will blow the mind of my vendor if I try to send them an HTML file, Javascript and the images all separately. Is there a way to export just one file? If not, can I import my Edge Animate file into another Adobe application where I could do so? Thank you.

There really is no "single file" solution with HTML, none that would be easy anyways. The HTML page is an aggregate of images, libraries, fonts, etc and due to the nature of the format I don't think you'll find the one-off package you're looking for. Even if you were to embed in say Dreamweaver or Muse the output would still be multiple files.
IMO I think your best solution would be to upload somewhere and share a link

I'm hoping one of you good people can help me with this. I usually try and work out things by myself and is my first time posting as this one really has me stumped. A solution would be fantastic but if I could be given a definitive answer if it can be done or not then at least I can stop wasting my time.
I'm loving Edge Animate as a cross browser alternative to Flash and the complete control I can now have building HTML5 and CSS animations from scratch. I build websites using Dreamweaver CC and wanted to create a bespoke drop down navigation for one of my sites in Edge animate CC to take into Dreamweaver. This I have done and is where I am having problems. The link to the test homepage in question is below with the nag bar made in Edge CC top right.

The problem is when setting the link attribute in Edge animate. You have the options of 'link in same window' or 'link in new window'. As it's for an internal navigation system neither seem to be appropriate. If I set it to open in a new window and set the live website address as follows it opens up the new page in a new window where as I want to replace the page. This is an example of the code I used to test if clicking 'sports advertising' would take you beck to the homepage:

According to your description, my understanding is that use CMAK to configure split tunneling on VPN clients, traffic to specified devices can be routed via their own default gateway.
If the manually added route entries all have default metric and interface, clients will select one by the default routing rule, can’t select one of them according to clients’ own conditions. So, I am afraid that CMAK can’t implement the function which you need.

How to replay entire composition including video and other animation in edge animate cc 2014.1

I am working on a project but i am stuck now. The basic flow of my project is: intro slides then a video plays then next and back buttons fade in that will control the next set of slides. Another button to replay the whole thing from start. My problem is i am able to replay the slides but not the video. My slides consists of text animations. I am using the new edge animate cc 2014.1 All the slides play from the beginning but the video does not follow that lead. I also managed to replay the video but thats not the desired thing i want. I want the whole composition to play again when i click a button. Can anyone help ?

The problem is with the playReverse call for time duration in which video is there.
playReverse actually plays in timeline in revere order 5sec->4sec->...->0sec, but this won't work for video as it doesn't play the video in reverse.
what you can do is that, in the "previous" button click handler, add
     if(sym.getPosition() > 7750) {
       sym.playReverse();
     else {
       sym.$("trance6")[0].pause();
       sym.$("trance6")[0].currentTime = 0;
       sym.play(0);
Also in "start" button click handler there needs a correction as below:
     Use this sym.$("trance6")[0].play();
     instead of sym.$("trance6")[0].play("1");

Edge Animate Animation Flickering in IE 11 only

Im using Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014.0.1. I've created a basic keyframe 20 or so png animation with one sound effect in it. All on the main timeline. When published both locally and and on our staging server the animation flickers but only in IE 11. IE 10 is fine as well as Firefox, Chrome and Safari. There isn't any code added it's strictly a series of images on the the timeline spaced out for timing and one sound effect plays at a certain point. I've even removed the sound effect but that doesn't change the flickering. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

nope. no fade. i make the images go from 0% opacity to 100% to hide the previous image and make the current image visible.
