EDI Mapping based on a condition

Hi All,
Can we use some condition to differentiate different mappings based on the source feild?
My scenario is the invoice from R/3 is imported into XI and based on a feild Receiver company code&Company name  , different mappings needs to be executed and please keep in mind (different mappings include include verisons like EDIFACT, TRADACOM etc)
Please guide me!!
Thanks,
Smith

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply. As per my understanding,
If we have 4 customers whom we need to send invoices based on the company code and description,
The following needs to be created:
one outbound interface in PI(Idoc from R/3 )
Four inbound interfaces from PI to EDI
Four different mappings
In receiver determination based on the condition the message mapping is selected and delivered .
Please confirm
Thanks,
Smith

  • 1:N mapping without using BPM , based on segment conditions

    Hi All,
I have to send 3 different files from source based on some conditions
    1) for the first file to be sent is okay
    2) But for second file and third file i need to check some conditions
    the conditions are
If E1EDL44 case detail fields exists   i should generate second file and i should not create any third file  (it's one or the other, not both).
If E1EDL44 case details doesnot exist i should generate third file and not second file...
So My confusion is how to send either second or third file (any one only)
If i do mapping  is it sufficient or also should i use condition editor in Receiver Determination...
Please suggest u r valuable help..
    Thanks and Regards,
    sridhar

    Hi Sridhar,
Make ur second interface Occurence as Optional 0:1 in ur Interfaec Mapping.
In ur Multi-mapping (Message Mapping) also make ur  message type corresponding to ur second file as Optional.
In ur mapping check the condition and if doesnot satisfy dont populate the second message type. Check this option.

  • IDOC EDI mapping ..

    hi,
Please let me know if my understanding is correct. In SAP EDI setup two people involved, ABAP programmer who customzes the IDOCS, sets up the EDI setup on SAP side like number ranges, partner profiles, condition records, message control etc and monitors the IDOC status till it is transmitted to the EDI subsystem and also the IDOCs received at SAP end.
The other person is an EDI specialist who will map the IDOCs to the EDI doc set based on trading partner requirements in the EDI subsystem.
So the ABAP deveoper need not know anything about the mapping done at EDI subsystem ?? His job is only at the SAP end ?? Am I right ??
    thanks
Edited by: sdnuser1 sdnsurname on Mar 20, 2008 6:03 AM

    Hi,
Ur assumptions are correct up to some extent...
What will happen SAP EDI implementation proejcts is most of the times it is the SAP technical people responsibility to do the EDI mapping also.
So an ABAPer with EDI knowledege(ABAP/EDI consultant) will take care of SAP EDI settings at SAP side and he/she will develop the mapping document and hand over the same to EDI sybsystem provider.
EDI subsystem people will feed the mapping instructions into EDI subsystem based on ur mapping document.Core EDI people will not understand the SAP terminology and as ABAP/EDI consultant will take of both settings. For an ABAP/EDI consultant also will not be given full access of EDI subsystem and u will only hand over the mapping docuemnt(IDOC segments to EDI standards mapping ) and they will feed the instructiona and get back 2 u for any doubts..
Hope this help.Let me know if u need any help for further understanding..

  • JDBC to IDOC Scenario - select data in jdbc based on multiple conditions

    Hello
I have a JDBC to IDOC Scenario. I have to select the records in JDBC based on different conditions each time. For example I have to select based on company code '1000' and Employee claasification 'E1' and date range. After I post these records in SAP again I want to select other records for some other company code '2000' and different business area and different dates. Basically I want to extract data multiple times based on different conditions.
    Hiow do I achieve this?
Another question is in the JDBC to IDOC scenario since the sender adapter is JDBC and the sender adapter polls depending on the duration of time ( say 60 secs ) in the adapter once after I extract the data based on a condition how do I control in such a way that the same data is not extracted again.
    Thanks
    Naga

    Hi Naga,
I have to select the records in JDBC based on different conditions each time. For example I have to select based on company code '1000' and Employee claasification 'E1' and date range. After I post these records in SAP again I want to select other records for some other company code '2000' and different business area and different dates. Basically I want to extract data multiple times based on different conditions.
    -->
Such requirements cant be handle through select query of the sender...but you can handle this in the message mapping area.....you can fire a select query in the database to pick up records in a batch of 10K (do not keep any condition on this except for sorting). After the records come into PI you can send the message to your target based on the unique combination of "Company code+ Employee clasification + date range" handling this in the message mapping.
Another question is in the JDBC to IDOC scenario since the sender adapter is JDBC and the sender adapter polls depending on the duration of time ( say 60 secs ) in the adapter once after I extract the data based on a condition how do I control in such a way that the same data is not extracted again.
You can use the N--> C logic
The data records that you pick have a corresponding control table i assume. There should be a field STATUS where the initial status of record should be N.
After you pick the records this status should be made C so that only those records present in the database with status = N are picked up.
Mention the condition Status = N in the select query.

  • Single iDOc to multiple files based on a condition

    Hi Friends
need your help in one scenario which is something like this:
there is one iDOC as the sender and this iDOC has to be mapped to files based on a condition means let us say if there is a particular field "R" in iDOC(WPDBBYY01) than it should go and create the file "ABC"
and if the particlar field is P or G or M than it should create another 2 files named "XYZ" and "WUV" .
Please guide me how can i put this condition ?
Any help would be rewarded with points
    Thanks

Have a single receiver and 2 inbound interfaces.
So you will have 2 different mappings. In the first mappng source is IDOC and the target is file ABC.
In the second mappping the source is IDOC and the target is 2 files XYZ and WUV.
In Interface determination, add both the inbound interfaces and put the condition for each interface.

  • Oracle Business Intelligence How to choose data set based on a condition

    Hi,
I am using Oracle Business Intelligence for creating reports, i am facing a situation where i have two quries (data sets in BI), one to display a Failure message and other to fetch data from the table to be displayed in the report.
The problem is i am unable to choose which data set to run based on a condition. How to use a condition based on which the dataset will be run
For example : i will read a table column value if it is 'S' means success, then i have to run the dataset to fetch the data from the table.
If the column value has 'F' then i have to run the dataset which will display failure message
Please let me know if any of you have any idea on this
    Thanks in advance
    Muthukumaran

    Hi Chinna,
You have to use some scripting as well as coding to perform the tasks listed by you. First of all make your form Dynamic, In your Adobe lifecycle Designer, open your form,
    Goto, File --> Form Properties,
    Goto the Defaults tab,
Select "Dynamic PDF" for the XDP Preview Format:
    Click OK.
This setting will now allow dynamicity in your Form, when you view it in PDF Preview tab.
For Hiding/Unhiding the fields/SF, you can use the presence property and set it based on the conditions. like:
    if (this.rawValue == null)
    TextField1.presence = "hidden";
For your second task, you may map a method corresponding to onSubmit event of the IF and write the code to create the workflow and make RFC call here.
For third one, you need to convert the PDFObject from Binary context into a byte array and save it at appropriate location.
Hope I have answered all your queries.
    Cheers,
    Arafat

  • Regarding EDI Map

    Hi All,
I   created  EDI Map . Positioning fieldds are not able to understand.
Please can u guide when a Zfield is there how did u MAP in the document.
    Thks & regards
    Venkat

    Hi suresh suresh ,
Suppose you are having three views to be displayed based on the road map selection.
create three view container Ui Element in the main view
create a node in the component controller with attributes visibility_view1, visibility_view2, visibility_view3.
map the node to the main view.
bind the visibility property of each view container UI element to the corresponding attributes in the newly created node.
Then go to window , embedd each view to corresponding view containers.
now on the action of each step of the road map make the attribute visibility_view to false or true depending on you logic required.

  • Is it possible to import data based on filter condition?

    HI All,
Is it posisble to import data based on fillter condition? Suppose I have following data
    Name,City
    A,HYD
    B,HYD
    C,MUM
    D,DEL,
    E,DEL
    F,HYD
Now I want to import only records where city is HYD, is it possible through import manager?
    Thanks
    Rajeev

    Hi Rajeev,
You can filter records during import if one of the Matching field is of type Lookup.
In your case if you create City as flat lookup table in MDM & maintain lookup values in DM(Just as an example), then you can import only records where city is HYD.
Map Name & City, Then in Match Records tab select both the fields (Combination)
then right click on it & select Filter.. option.
Now new pop up will open where you be able to see ur Lookup table values, from there select HYD and Add
Now in default Import Action, set Create Action for None/None (All other will be skip)
This way you will import only HYD records.
But this is possible only on Lookup fields & not foe Text fields
    Hope this will help you
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mahi

  • Can we take standard report for all sales orders based on the condition typ

    Hi all,
Based on the condition type, we need to take a report for sales orders on the particular date.
    Thanks and Regards.....VM

    Hello again.
Searching for a solution, I found a Logical Database for sales orders, that have all the information that you need.
Using like reference the post of Bhagavatula, in the same transaction SQVI you can use, instead of the suggested join, you can select a logical database called VAV in Data source.
This logical database links the tables, VBAK, VBAP, VBUK and KONV that is the central point of the question.
You can list the information of logical database using the transaction SLDB.
    In 'Logical Database' inform VAV.
Press F8 to list all the fields.
More information about logical database in:

  • VT02N - do PGI and Invoice for certain deliveries either based on certain conditions

    Hi Friends ,
We are using VT04 for creating shipments . While shipment completion stage in VT02N   an activity profile has been maintained  which does both the Goods issue and Invoice.
We have a business requirement , PGI and Invoice should be created only for specific set of deliveries based on certain conditions.
Is there any standard way to do this or by using user exits.
    Please guide.
    Thanks,

what about adding a check in userexit RV60AFZZ, when the condition is not met during invoice creation, error out and disable the creation of the invoice document?

  • How to create a column based on a condition ?

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a stored procedure that will return ID,Name and a column of type bit called  called checked based on a condition
please review my code and tell me what is wrong with it
    ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[SelectStoresNames]
    AS
    BEGIN
WITH locations_CTE ( ID,  Name, Checked)
    AS
    select loc.ID,loc.Name,
(case when loc. ID in (select distinct a.StoreId
    from mPromoteStores a
    inner join mPromote b
    on a.PromoteId=b.PromoteId
where b.promoId=144120) then 1 else 0 end as [Checked])
FROM [dbo].[mLocations] loc where SchedulePullEnabled=1 order by  Name
    Select *
    from locations_CTE
    END

Please post DDL, so that people do not have to guess what the keys, constraints, Declarative Referential Integrity, data types, etc. in your schema are. Learn how to follow ISO-11179 data element naming conventions and formatting rules. You have no idea!
Temporal data should use ISO-8601 formats. Code should be in Standard SQL as much as possible and not local dialect.
This is minimal polite behavior on SQL forums.
    >> I am trying to create a stored procedure that will return store_id, store_name and a column of type bit called “checked” based on a condition <<
I fixed the vague, useless, generic data elements, made wild guesses on the DDL you did not post and got rid of the assembly language bit flags (https://www.simple-talk.com/sql/t-sql-programming/bit-of-a-problem/)
    1. IN (SELECT DISTINCT ..) is redundant
    2. aliases in alphabetic order are no help for maintaining code
    3. What is that “m” prefix? Better not be metadata...
    4. We also do not use “-cte” postfixes; tell us what the table is and not how you got it. This is another version of the “vw-” or “Volkswagen” design flaw for views.
    5. “promote” is a verb, so how can it have an identifier? Entities have identifiers. A set of  “Promotions” could have a “promo_id”, but this might be a typo ..
    6. Is “schedule_pull_enabled” another assembly language flag? I have the horrible feeling your unseen schema is not in 1NF ...
Since you did not post DDL here is as far as I can get ..
    CREATE PROCEDURE Select_Stores_Names
    AS
    SELECT PS.store_id, PS.store_name
      FROM Promote_Stores AS PS,
                 Promotes AS P
    WHERE PS.promote_id = P.promote_id
      AND P.promo_id = 144120  -- promo vs promote?
      AND ???;

  • How to secure access of Report based on a condition

    Hello Experts,
My project requirement is to secure BW Reports based on a condition. For e.g a user should be authorized to access the Report if:
    1. He is the WBS Manager of the selected WBS Element
    OR
    2. If he is authorized to access the Profit center Hierarchy Node which is the parent of the selected WBS Element.
I think this may be achieved by using a Customer exit in the Analysis authorization but i don't know how.
Do you have any idea, whether it is possible to achieve in BI7 Security Model? Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rajat

    Hi Tomer,
There will be a selection variable for WBS in all BW reports. If the user selects a particular WBS Element then he can only see the result of the report if he fulfill EITHER of the following conditions:
    1. If he is the WBS Manager of the selected WBS Element
    OR
    2. If he is authorized to access the Profit center Hierarchy Node which is the parent of the selected WBS Element.
WBS managers will keep on changing so it is not possible to maintain the users in one role.
Secondly, according to the second condition, even if the user is not WBS Manager but he is authorized to access Profit center Hierarchy Node, which is the parent of the selected WBS Element, he should view the report.
Please let me know if don't understand the question.
    Thanks
    Rajat

  • Foreign key Mapping based on Data - in SQL Developer Data modeler

    Team
Do SQL Developer Data modeler supports Foreign Key mapping based on the Data in the Schema rather defined at the DDL ? For e.g if we implement a Objects Relation ship mapping in Data base, we don't define Foreign keys at table creation.
Toad does this feature through "AUTOMATIC FOREIGN KEYS MAPPING IN TOAD DATA MODELER" more info at (http://toadworld.com/Blogs/tabid/67/EntryId/905/Automatic-Foreign-Keys-Mapping-in-Toad-Data-Modeler.aspx)
any one know how to implement through some scripts also helps me
    Regards
    Raj

If you have table PKs defined and the candidate columns match those PK columns, then you can use the Discover Foreign Keys utility. Right mouse over the relational model name (node) in the left browser. It is about half way down the menu. I did a blog post about it last week on kentgraziano.com.

  • Dropdown editable in a table based on a condition

    Hi,
I would like to know how to solve these problems.
    1. I have a cell (of the type dropdown by key) in a table, which is editable or not, depending on a condition ? Is this is possible? Please let me know if there is a sample code
    2. So basically I have a  table that has 2 entries in it, user details and one of the fields in FLAG showing the values Yand N for the user. I want the table in the webdynpro application to show the 2 user entries and then in the Flag column have a DROPDOWNBYKEY that DEFAULTS to showing what flag the user has, but also allows the user to CHANGE the entry.
    Thanks in advance
    I appreciate for the help.

    is possible
In your Context node which is binded to the table as DataSource, add an attribute WDY_BOOLEAN type
In layout bind the newly created attribute to the dropdown UI element Enable property
while filling your context node, fill the attribute with abap_true and abap_false based on your condition
