Edit Link to Fetch row from a collection into a form

Hi,
I am a newbie to the use of apex, and trying to apply the Collection Showcase example application, but after I populate the collection, the edit_link button navigates to the desired page (6) but does not populate the fields on the HTML page region.
The region source for the report is a sql query:

You can do this by taking the edit link off the report and putting it into your report SQL.
Use something like Select CASE WHEN (condition) THEN
'Put your edit link in here as an html Anchor like<a href="(target)">Edit</a>'

Using where clause in Fetch Row from table

Hello,
I call Page2 from Page1, I pass PK1 to Page2.
In the section Fetch Row from Table2, I write a Where clause ( FK2 = : PK1). I have data in Table2 with FK = PK1, but I cant view the data in Page2.
Where is the error?

How to fetch rows from a table like search engines do?

Is it possible to fetch rows from a table like Google does? I want to fetch row number 20-40 after the select has ordered the rows.
Pseudo code: select * from log where rownum > 20 and rownum < 40 order by date;
Rownum doesn't work with ordering so I tried:
select * from log where (select * from log order by date) and rownum <20;
But that still doesn't do what I want. I get the "top 20" rows but I can't get rows 20-40.
My real table has 70000 rows and I want to select 69000-70000 so I really need a SQL do fetch only the rows I need.
Any help would be very appreciated!

you can use the email adapter to read/pick up email from mail box.
and use JDBC adapter to read data from table of any database. Please refer the links given to your old thread

   Bring more than one row into main window of script.
   For this you need to do some changes for data which you pass to main window.At a time you need to pass more than one row,so for this you need to define one structure.See below code.
Types:begin of ty_rows,
     include structure (your row_structure),
     include structure (your row_sturcture),
Types:end of ty_rows.
for example....
If i need to pass 2 vendor details at a time to main window then the structure should be like this.
Types:begin of ty_rows,
       vendor1 like lfa1-lifnr,
       vendor1_name like lfa1-name1,
       vendor2 like lfa1-lifnr,
       vendor2_name like lfa1-name1,
      end of ty_rows.
Data:i_main type standard table of ty_rows,
     wa_main type ty_rows.
Based on condition you can pass more than one rows of your actual internal table data to i_main internal table.
Then you can pass i_main internal table to your main window.
    I think this will help you.

Fetching rows to display them is a task for the client tool. You need to define a ref cursor therefore.
If you just want to play around, here we go

How to fetch records from the database into a combo box?

Hi:
I´m really new with ABLBPM and I´m trying to fetch records from the database to display them into a combo box as valid values for a presentation but I´m using a dynamic method with this code:
for each row in SELECT campo1, campo2 from TABLE
do
solicitudes[] = [row.campo1, row.campo2]
end
return solicitudes
And the debugger says that SQL instructions can be used only in fuctions and procedures that are executed on the server.
Do you know another way to do it?

There are two ways to do this that I cn think of right off the bat.
One is to create a class of objects that can receive the entire row, and
give it methods that will return each of the individual objects that you are
looking for when called. If you use INTO :ARRAY, you get the advantage of
being able to pass the array anywhere in your system for the 'split up'
processing.
Two is to do basically the same thing, but instead doing the 'split up'
during a for loop. This will appear to slow down your query, however, as
extra processing will be occuring in terms of memory allocation and copying.
I'm sure there other approaches. This was simply what came to mind at
midnight, after a long day :-).

How can i transfer my photos from my collection into my computer?

I'm not sure how I can get all of the photos that I have off my phone. the ones from my camera roll are imported in but I would like the ones from my collection imported too. I don't know how to do that

If you connect your phone to a Macintosh computer, you should check out the computer app iExplorer. The developer is Macroplant. I use it, and it works quite well, I can archive almost everything that is on my phone. The interface takes some getting used to, but it's worth the effort, sure beats mailing each picture to yourself.
I assume there are similar applications for other platforms.

You will need to output the results of the system command to a file and then read contents of the file into your form. The HOST built-in has a limitation, however. The HOST built-in can only execute commands on the Application Server (AS), so hopefully, the "Solaris" system you mentioned is your AS. Once the HOST call completes and the output file is created, you can read the contents of the file using the TEXT_IO built-in.

How to fetch rows from multiple tables

I have a page with items from 3 tables. I need to populate these items with values from the database. The page does not allow me to use multiple automated fetches. So instead I decided to use a pl/sql page process that runs a cursor to get my field values and the uses apex_util.set_session_state to set the field item values. IS there any isues with doing this? Is there a better way?

These tables are not really related so I gues I will stick with the pl/sql to populate and then page process to insert/update/delete. Here is the code I'm using.

How to fetch data from different sources into one source (like into Ztable)

hi friends,
As per our client requirements they want to develope an Inventory and an Ontime delivery report in BO on top of Oracle database.
Situation is some thing like they have ECC 6.0.and they want to collect all inventory and ontime delivery data at one place.According to me that could be one Ztable in which we can gather all data.Apart from that they are going to use Data Integrator in which they can directly fetch the data from R/3 system(They dont want to have BI system) and put all data in Oracle DB.On top of ORacle BO person can develop BO reports.
My question is how to fetch all data at one place and what are the tables going to be use.
kindly help me out as its very important project.

The following is my standard reply to those who need to get old data from a backup in one account and add it to another account. The method described here may be applied to your case. It would be a bit of a long process, though.
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc. Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there. These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE: Photos in the photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the new account. It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch.

Fetching Values From JAVA classes into ABAP report

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement, in which I need to fetch Java Roles/Groups from the portal to a ABAP report, for specific users. The roles inside of our project are not always in sync with the central system.
I could not find any link with talks about this. Could anybody guide me on how to proceed?

I have written a report which takes users and specific roles as the input. Eg, userID :12345 and role/profile :SAP_ALL, SAP_ADMIN..etc in a table. and gives back if the user 12345 has SAP_ALL or not.
Now I have used RFCs to fetch all the roles for the user from different SAP systems which i further compare .
What I am unable to do is fetch the portal roles .
PROBLEM : The portal roles also exist in the central system, but might not be always consistent since they get manually updated in the central system. Hence I want to directly fetch the data from the JAVA Portal.
WHAT I KNOW : I need to write a JAVA class in NW developer studio which will take the user as the input and give me all the roles/profiles for the same user as output.
How do I further pass the values to and from the Java class to my ABAP report?
I know that I need to use the UME in some way to have this work for me. But since i do not expertize in java I need guidance/steps as to how to proceed.
