Edit the error records in error stack

Hi,
I want to edit the error records in error stack. There are around 300 records in error stack . I want to replace the value in one field with blank to correct the records. Can you please help me how to replace the value with blank.
Thanks,
Priya

Hi,
Open the original DTP and click on change.
1) In Update you will find "create error DTP", just click on it system automatically create error DTP for you original DTP.
2) Do not change any thing, just come back to your original DTP and activate your DTP again.
Now come back and refresh the info provider tree.
now execute your DTP, request will be green in target and you will error records in error stack.
How to edit the error records in error DTP

  • Non error records in error stack

    Hi,
    I have some error records collected in errorstack I know how to correct and update these error records.
    But the problem is there are several other records collected in error stack giving the message filtered in advance as the key is same as error records.
    Now my question is why is this happening?
    regards,
    preethi.

    Hi Preethi,
    This is happening because of the semantic key. The semantic key will be defined in the DTP.
    If any records are having the same semantic key as the error records, these records will also be collected in the error stack with out actually checking data.

  • How to edit the selected record through a popup page

    Hi, can anyone help me to handle the case ?
    1) In main page, there is a datatable showing the record list. Click a commandLink in the selected record to popup a screen for user edit.
    2) The data is validated and then saved into database after clicking the submit button in the popup.
    3) Finally, the main page is refreshed with the latest record list.
    Thanks

    Just like any other servlet or form-processing script. What would a mere HTML page know about "systems"? Put the URL into the form destination attribute and be done.

    i want to get the edit option means i need to delete the request in target r wt ?
    and there are two more targets is there below this process .
    Advance Thanks.

    HI
    If you have less number records in this request(which you extracted now), delete that request from all the targets and reload again with option Valid records update, reporting not possible.
    this is the option which is recommended.
    follow the below 2 docs as well.

  • Too many error records - update terminated

    Hello !!!
    Please help me with resolutions/reasons for the below errors.
    While loading data following errors are coming up & also the number of erroneous records when seen through PSA is quiet large (>2000). We neither want to delete the data nor to edit it, as prior to upgrade this InfoPackage used to work perfectly fine
    (Please note that system is recently upgraded from BI 3.x to BI 7.0).
    Too many error records - update terminated
    Message no. RSM2706
    Diagnosis
    More than 1001 records have been flagged as incorrect. There is probably a system error.
    System Response
    For performance reasons, the system terminates the update and additional checks.
    Thanks,
    Shantanu.

    Hi,
    I think you are facing an invalid character issue.
    This issue can be resolved by correcting the error records in PSA and updating it into the target. For that the first step should be to identify if all the records are there in PSA. You can find out this from checking the Details tab in RSMO, Job log , PSA > sorting records based on status,etc. Once its confirmed force the request to red and delete the particular request from the target cube. Then go to PSA and edit the incorrect records (correcting or blanking out the invalid entries for particular field InfoObject for the incorrect record) and save it. Once all the incorrect records are edited go to RSA1>PSA find the particular request and update to target manually (right click on PSA request > Start update immediately).
    I will add the step by step procedure to edit PSA data and update into target (request based).
    Identifying incorrect records.
    System wont show all the incorrect records at the first time itself. You need to search the PSA table manually to find all the incorrect records.
    1. First see RSMO > Details > Expand upate rules / processing tabs and you will find some of the error records.
    2. Then you can go to PSA and filter using the status of records. Filter all the red requests. This may also wont show the entire incorrect records.
    3. Then you can go to PSA and filter using the incorrect records based on the particular field.
    4. If this also doesnt work out go to PSA and sort (not filter) the records based on the particular field with incorrect values and it will show all the records. Note down the record numbers and then edit them one by one.
    If you want to confirm find the PSA table and search manually."
    Steps to resolve this
    1. Force the request to red in RSMO > Status tab.
    2. Delete the request from target.
    3. Come to RSMO > top right you can see PSA maintenace button > click and go to PSA .
    4.Edit the record
    5. Save PSA data.
    6. Got to RSA15 > Search by request name > Right click > update the request from PSA to target.
    This should solve your problem for now.
    As a long term you can apply some user exit in source system side or change your update rules to ensure that this field is getting blanked out before getting loaded in cube or add that particular achr to permitted character list in BW (Run TCODE RSKC
    Input the <character> and execute the program) This will add <character> to the allowed characters list.
    OR
    RSKC --> type ALL_CAPITAL --> F8 (Execute)
    OR
    Run the report RS_ERRORLOG_EXAMPLE,By this report you can display all incorrected records of the data & you can also find whether the error occured in PSA or in TRANSFER RULES.
    OR
    Go to SE38 and execute the program RSKC_ALLOWED_CHAR_MAINTAIN.

  • Error record

    Hi,
    Consider that i have 1000 records in flat file. In that the 501th record is error record.
    Then how will the updation happens in session method and call transaction method? What happens to the record from 502 - 1000. And what will happen to the 501 th record?
    What will happen in the case of LSMW?
    Thanks.

    501 is not updated and 502 onward updated.
    in short except error everything is updated.
    Now if u have choosen the keep batch , then find the error records and correct them and run the same batch with corrected records,
    it shows in log now.
    for posted .. already posted and those which are error are now posted.
    if you dont press the keep batch option before uploading
    then  do this,
    take only error records in ur flat file.
    create a new session and run this batch.
    The case is not differ in case of LSMW and BDC session method are same.

  • I recorded a panel presentation on my Ipod and would like to edit the recording on my itunes so I can export the recording and send it to my colleagues over the internet.  I was able to import the recording to my itunes library but need help editing it.

    Hello, thanks in advance for your help.  I recorded a panel presentation on an ipod and would like to edit the audio recording to just one portion of the recording.  I was able to import the audio into my itunes 11.1.3 music library but I have not been able to edit the length of the recording.  I followed an online tutorial and was able to edit when the recording starts and stops on the recording but I haven't been able to edit out the parts of the recording that I dont want.  Also when I try to export it to my Desktop or to Garageband (not sure if that helps or not) I am not able to export it.  It is currently a .WAV file.  I would like to edit the length of the recording and then export the file onto my desktop.  I would like to email the presentations to my colleagues online so I could also use advice on how to make it a smaller file since it is current 945.6 MB.

    iTunes isn't an editor. You need an app that's intended for editing audio files, like Adobe Audition (http://www.adobe.com/products/audition.html) or Audacity (free in the App Store).

  • How to avoid editing a deleted record in a Table component

    Hi! Everyon,
    I am building a prototype using JSC. In Page1.jsp, I have a table displaying the records. On column one there are buttons that allow the user to edit the record, including deleting it. My problem is: when somebody else deleted a record and if the current user tries to edit the same record by clicking the edit button on the corresponding row he will get the next record. Could somebody tell me how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.
    By the way, I do not access database directly from the Web part. Instead, I dropped a session bean's method on the Table compoment. In the edit button's event handler, I use
               TableRowDataProvider row = (TableRowDataProvider )getBean("currentRow");However, since that record was deleted already I always get the next record.
    With best regards,
    Daniel

    Thank you very much for your help. And sorry for not explaining clearly.
    I have a session bean that has getCities(), getCity(String code) and other methods. getCities() returns an array of CityDO objects and getCity(String) returns a CityDO object. class CityDO basically is a JavaBean containing city code, city name and other information. When I designed the web part using Java Studio Creator, I dropped a Table component to the design view first, then dropped the EJB method getCities() onto that Table component. Up to now, it is very similar to http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/learning/tutorials/2/ejb.html and everything worked fine.
    In order to edit a CityDO record, I added a column containg "edit" buttons into the Table component. If the user clicks the edit button we will show the CityDO in another page called editPage.jsp. In editPage.jsp, the user can update the city or simply delete it. Here is the major part of the event handler of the edit button in Page1,
        public String editCity_action() {
            TableRowDataProvider row = (TableRowDataProvider)getBean("currentRow");
            String code = (String)row.getValue("code");     // "code" is a field in CityDO
            CityDO city = null;
            try {
                city = cityClient1.getCity(code);
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                ex.printStackTrace();
                return null;
            getSessionBean1().setCity(city);          // pass the city to editPage
            return "editPage";
        }Usually, the above logic is good. However, if somebody else deleted one city and the current user tries to edit that deleted city (it is still in his table), he gets the next city. The real problem is in editCity_action(),
    row.getValue("code") returns an updated value, but I only need the old one.
    You memtioned ArrayList. That could be a good solution. Suppose I have an ArryList containing the CityDO objects, if I can bind the table to my ArrayList that will solve my problem. Could you tell me how to do the binding in that case?
    Thank you again.
    With best regards,
    Daniel
    By the way, I do not access database directly from
    the Web part. I do not understand what you mean by the above
    statement.
    Instead, I dropped a session bean's
    method on the Table compoment. Can you explain further. What method did you drop on
    the Table component?
    In the edit button's
    event handler, I use
    TableRowDataProvider row =
    (TableRowDataProvider
    )getBean("currentRow");However, since that
    record was deleted already I always get the next
    record.Here is the delete code from
    http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator
    /learning/tutorials/2/inserts_updates_deletes.html.
    As is is working on the rowkey in the page bean's
    table, that should not be affected by other users in
    other sessions, the rowkey should not change, even if
    the underlying record has changed.
        public String delete_action() {
    form1.discardSubmittedValues("save");
    try {
    RowKey rk = tableRowGroup1.getRowKey();
    if (rk != null) {
    tripDataProvider.removeRow(rk);
    tripDataProvider.commitChanges();
    tripDataProvider.refresh();}
    (Exception ex) {
    log("ErrorDescription", ex);
    error(ex.getMessage());
    return null;
    }What is the underlying structure for the table's
    data. Is it a row cache from a query? Is it an
    ArrayList?

  • How to populate the Error stack during error records in field level routine

  • Database DLL error on editing the record selection formula?

    Post Author: Aravind
    CA Forum: Older Products
    Hi All,I recently edited the record selection formula of an old report and since then the report is issuing me an "Error detected by database DLL" error.The report was running fine earlier and still continues to run fine if I undo the changes. Earlier, the records were selected based on a 'date' field and I edited the formula to select records based on another date field, but the report doesn't work.The report runs fine on my local PC using Crystal Reports, but web based reporting fails with the error message. The data is selected from a view and the date parameters I talked about are the fields in the same view.This view has around five date parameters and the report runs fine for all of them, except one date field.Any pointers are appreciated.Crystal reports version is 8.5. Regards,Aravind.

    Post Author: DPowell
    CA Forum: Older Products
    Ah, yes, the good old generic date error.
    The problem is likely an invalid date value in one (or all) of your records with that field.  You don't say what database engine you are connected to or which driver you are using for the report, but I'll give you some "pointers".
    Basically, the SQL fetch has encountered an error in your date field and the driver you are using in the report can't handle it.
    A null date could cause that problem.  Also a date-time field with an invalid value or truncated time value.  A robust ODBC driver, like one of the Microsoft drivers might be able to overcome it.  Likewise, vendors frequently release updated drivers to improve error handling just like this.
    1.  Analyze your data, specifically the contents of the "new" date field you are using for some kind of invalid date.
    2.  Experiment with different ODBC drivers by creating alternate ODBC connections to the same database using different ODBC drivers.
    3.  Browse and experiment with options in Crystal Reports Properties that allow you to specify data conversions for NULLs and Dates.
    Good luck !

  • Editing error records in PSA

    Hi All,
    While loading data from R/3 datasource to PSA in BI side, the data load got failed due to invalid character present in the data.
    When i tried to edit that error record in PSA i found that the entire datapackage containing the error record is skipped from updating into PSA. So i'm unable to edit that error record in PSA.
    Is there any setting that needs to be done so that error records gets updated in PSA, so that we can edit it at PSA level and load further to datatargets.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    If PSA contain data records and if the records present in PSA contain invalid characters then the error would pop out.
    But in your case you say that the error records are not visible in the PSA but you face the error!!!!
    Check in the status and detail tabs in the infopackage maintenance screen to confirm the exact error that you face.
    Please check the data present in your PSA via table. The table name of PSA starts with /BIC/B000*.
    There is a possibility of the data present in the PSA could have got archived too.

  • Logic to capture the Error records

    Hi All ,
               I have one scenario like this ,one report program runs in R/3 system to fetch some data from BW system .
    It uses Remote FM to do this .
    The problem is the FM has got error table with error msgs , if there is any problem in fetching the data in R/3 system.
    But when program is excuted it fails after returning to R/3 system with  error msg in WHEN OTHERS and stops there itself

  • Mapping error while downloading the condition records (ECC to CRM)

    Hello Experts,
    We were downloading the condition records from ECC to CRM system (Production), but due to Mapping error, it was unsuccessful, i wonder what's going wrong there.
    When i see in SMQ2 (CRM Inbound Queue), an queue got stucked there, i.e, R3AD_ZDNL_COND_A930 having SYSFAIL status.
    While debugging the queue, I have found that the queue got stuck because of u2018Mapping Erroru2019.
    I found inside, Standard code reads the record from table /SAPCND/T681 (Condition Table Structure) for KAPPL = 'CRM', KVEWE = 'PR', KOTABNR = 'CUS930' and AS4LOCAL = u2018Au2019 for which the value of VAKEY_OFFSET is maintained as 0.
    If system finds the value of VAKEY_OFFSET is Zero(0) then it will change the download type from D (Delta) to M (Mapping Error) and raise the error & block the Inbound Queue in CRM.
    I checked in SMW01alsofor getting some more knowledge about that queue, here the error description:
    Structure information for table CNCCRMPRCUS930 not available (Message class: CND_MAP)
    Error when carrying out delta download (Message class: CND_MAP)
    I am a technical guy and dont have much idea in CRM Middleware.
    I welcome your valuable thoughts and will award full points.
    Regards,
    Jeo

    Hi,
    As you mentioned i checked for the followings:
    >>In Maintain field catalog:
    I found only 2-3 fields are maintained here, when i compared with A930 (A930 in ECC system).
    >>Create condition tables:
    I checked it for CUS930, i found the same but condition table structure name like CNCCRMPRCUS930 are missing. Is that important? Because i see in SMW01, same error is coming over there : Structure information for table CNCCRMPRCUS930 not available .
    Please suggest me, now what i need to do?

    Hi, Yuvraj
    Thank you for advice.
    >What is the default editing tool set in Prefererences --> WebIntelligence?
    >Do you get issue with Interactive mode?
    >
    >If Advanced mode, have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Java
    >and check?
    It's Advanced mode.
    This error occur sometimes.
    And if you re-run after an error occurs, the error does not occur.
    So, I guess this error has affected the Java cache file, not the Java software.
    How do I check what Java cache is corrupted.
    >How many reports are giving this issue?
    This error occurs in various reports, but I din't know the number of reports.
    >Is this issue coming on all machines or single machine?
    This error has occurred in several machine.
    >Do you face a similar issue when using Webi Rich Client?
    This error occur sometimes, and I usually not use Webi Rich Client.
    Try to check, but be difficult.
