Edit the row on conditional basis

Hi,
I have used the ALV Component and implemented my table. I have to show the drop down list, which i have implemented in my coding. Now i need to make edit/read only field based on the condition basis of the dropdown.
i.e When the user is selecting the dropdown value '01' the next field is need to be editable. If he choose value '02' from drop down, the next field need to be read only.
How to implement this. Please guide me on this.

Hi Yogesh,
I Think you created ALV with drop down.
In your context, apart from your display fields, add another attribute READ_ONLY of type char01.
You need to read drop down value first, get that value, if the value is '02' make cell as READ ONLY.

Conditional display in the row template!

Hi,
I created a report template and my report shows like this:
col1 col2 col3 col4 col5
a 4 5 6 7
b 4 8 7 2
Total 8 13 13 9
I am able to display all the above, but the column name should be "Total" at the end of the report when i am displaying the totals. totals also coming from the database, so i am not calculating here.
Shall i put any condition saying that if the col1 is null then col1 should display "Total".
Please suggest.

Problem when editting a row in report

Hello,
I have a problem when I want to edit a row in a report.
I have created a form with report, and now whe I click on the edit icon on the report page, it navigates me to the form page but wothout the row data, so it let me create a new row..
What should I do??

Hi,
After editing the row go to session vales in the form page and see if the hidden primary key column has a value set ?
Did you do any changes to the form or report after creating "From on a table with report" ?
If you can recreate the issue in http://apex.oracle.com i can look into it.

JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key

I am developing a Fusion Web Application using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0. I have a home.jspx page that has a ADF table built on efttBilling View Object. . When you click on one of the rows in the table, it will take you to detail.jspx where you can edit the row and save. When 'save' is clicked, stored procedures are executed to update/insert rows into few tables , and then go back to home.jspx where you need to see updated content for that row.
To get down to the exact issue, updates are made to the tables on which the efttBilling View Object is built using a stored procedure. Once this is done, I am trying to requery view object to see new content. But I keep getting JBO-25014: Another user has changed the row with primary key oracle.jbo.Key error. Following are the approaches I followed to query new results:
a. Executed Application Modules Commit Method. Created 'Commit' Action binding and tied it to homePageDef.xml. Called this binding from a view scope bean.
    BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
     OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("Commit");
    Object result = operationBinding.execute();

What code does your Commit method have .. can you try using the Commit executable from the AM itself instead ?

which all attributes you set this property for . it should just be for History columns as such.

Employee is not able to Edit the Request if it is Rejected by the Approver.

we are working on EHP5 , ECC 6.0 . We are implementing claims and reimbursements . In our process if the employee raises the claim request in the portal and the approver rejects the claim request , employee is not able to edit the request in the portal . So please suggest the solution for this .

Hello Lokesh,
The edit feature of claims is on the basis of status. Approved & Rejected claim requests cannot be edited. The approver has got the option to edit the claimed amount on basis of the proof attached.
Hence the approver can edit and then decide to approve or reject. But employees in case of any
rejection of claims needs to reapply with a new claim.

Display/Edit Table Row in form's Header

Hi all,
I am going to develop a form with matrix. This form is connected to an UDO (with header and row tables).
The "special" requirement is that when a user selects a row, the row details must be shown in the form's upper part, out of the matrix. Also, editing these fields should be permitted and it should be the same as editing the row. (I hope I explained myself correctly).
My question is: has anyone done something like this before? How should I proceed?
At the moment I already created the form with two folders.
- Folder 1 shows the normal document header fields (CardCode, CardName, RefNum, etc.).
- Folder 2 shows the same fields as one matrix row. The fields in Folder 2 are connected to UserDataSources.
The matrix, document remarks and document total are always visible.
Tomorrow I'll start the code to make this work, but I would appreciate any input you experts can provide.

Not quite, but close. Instead of having two matrix's I'll have 1 matrix and a set of User Fields (in the form's title) that should act has a single matrix row.
Please take a look my form so you can understand it better.

What I need it to code a solution were the user can edit the row value, either in the row itself or in the form's title fields.
In other words, I'll need to connect the selected row to the fields I created in the form's title...

Change the Condition base value in a Condition type.

I have a problem because I need to change the condition base value for a condition type. This condition base is calculated as a result of other condition types in the list of pricing Elements. I would need to change the base in order to solve the problem.

if i get it correctly , this is your scenario
condition 1--- price x
condition 1--- price Y
condition 1--- price z
now you want a fourth conddition with base value total of the above 3
if so , you maybe define all the above 3 as statistical ,
in another row , create a total of the above 3,
assign a sub total this ,
create new conditon type and in its alt base value , give the formalue for the sub total
for eg 5 for sub toal 1, 6 for sub total 2
and then you would get the right base value

TextField needs to be made editable on conditional basis

Hello Experts ,
We have a requrement to make a field editable on conditional basis. We have some templates for rfx . For templates , the field needs to be editable but when we are creating any rfx using that Template , that field needs to be appeared as non-editable in that rfx.
Example- System have a template for Rfx called ABC_RFX_Template . In that template the field should appaer as editable abut when user is creating any Rfx using ABC_RFX_Template , the field should appear as non-editable so that user can not edit that field .
Can you please help me ?

Accroding to your suggestion , I have createda a new text field which is by default editable. Now I need to keep it editable for Rfx Template and need to make non-editable for rfx ( Created using that template ) .
So for this , I tried to set the editable property as No . This is making the field non-editable for all the rfx templates as well as rfx created using that template.
But I need to make the field as editable for tempaltes.
How can I do it ?

4. I think problem maybe is related with row key, but I need end user to change rowkey column value. does it allow changing the value of column as row key? I found this problem maybe only occur for new created row. For those existing rows, even I change the value of row key column, no such problem occurred, how do I handle this situation?

I didn't create master records, I just used joint queries for information display of both master and detail. I am trying to create a row in the UI table to create a new detail record and master record already exists.
The row key for new added row in UI rich table is [21 null ], row key of detail records table composes of 2 columns. 21 is for FixedSlotId and null is for SlotFromN. when I provide a new value for SlotFromN column in UI rich table, problem will occur.

How can we make edit and non edit of rows on particular conditions in alv

hi experts,
i am very new to web dynpro for abap.i have one query regarding alv.
in one view i have alv table with two line items,and line each line item having foue editable fields and remaining are non editable.
now i am navigating to another view and make some action.here i have generated one value and updated this value to one field ofselected line items of alv table in the previous view.now i am coming back to previous view .now i want to display the row of alv table which contain value which is generated in second view as completely non editable and remaining rows are as it is .

You can do this in one view it self.
create a one attribute of type wdy_boolean.. in view context.
Bind these attribute to read only property of table.. and initially set the value to abap_true in wddoinit method.
Then create one button say "EDIT" in view and create action for edit button.. in that action set the above attribute value to
abap_false.
so now, initially table will be in display mode, when you click on edit mode...it will become editable mode...

How to get the row & col of the cell being edited?

I have a reference to a editable JTable, and I want to know at any point in time, what cell the user is editing (specifically the row & col).
You'd think you could just go:
int col = table.getActiveCellColumn();
int row = table.getActiveCellRow();
Where the active cell is the one the user is typing in.
I tried getting the rectangle of the permenant focus owner and using that to get a Point object, then testing the table using columnAtPoint and rowAtPoint, but sometimes the cell is returned as the foucs owner and sometimes the whole table is returned (which does not help). Any ideas?

You'd think you could just go:

table.getEditingRow();
table.getEditingColumn();

A new row being created while Editing the existing one.

I have a custom page, where i need to edit the existing Data. I have initialized my EOVO in PR. There is also a Lov which is used to search the existing data. Then i edit the field and Save it. Everything works fine and the existing row is being updated. But there creates a new row also with only one field is being populated which is the attribute which i have set on my LOV.
how can i stop this new row from being created.

Easy way to highlight the row you are editing

How can I easily highlight the row in a report with an edit button when I click this button. If I click it I go to another page but when I come back( After saving modifications) I want the row I just edited highlighted

First, you need to add an ID to every row in your report, so you’ll be able to manipulate it on the DOM level. Duplicate your report template, and edit the Before Each Row field to look similar to the following:
<tr #HIGHLIGHT_ROW# id="#ROWNUM#">I’m using a hidden item on the report page, to hold the rownum of the report line I’m branching to edit. I’m setting this item in the link column (or in the f?p URL) to be #ROWNUM#.
I’m using an onload event to fire the following JS function:
function colorLinkRow(pItem, pColor) {
   var elm = $x(pItem);
   if (elm.value > 0) {
     $x(elm.value).style.backgroundColor = pColor;
}The pItem parameter is the hidden item name, and the pColor is the background color I want to use.
This code assuming only one report region per page. Otherwise, you need to take different approach to setting unique IDs to your reports lines.

Grid is coming with the row having editable field

I ahve to display OO ALV grid after checking a check box in selection screen , after selecting a row and pressing on edit button in application tool bar it has to give edit option for a field in the row which user has selected, after pressing save button (pop up for confirmation has been given here )data has to get update in ztable and the same has to be reflected in the current grid ...... TILL HERE EVERY THING IS WORKING FINE.
If the user selects particular record and press the EDIT button, ( assume he didn't edited any thing and he didn't press the save button also ) immediately if he presses the BACK button it should go to selection screen ( this part is working) again if he presses execute button in selection screen ---> grid is coming with the row having editable field (WHICH I DONT WANT).
