Editable Table in JSF

Question

Hi all,
I have a question about datatable rows changing from outputting info to allowing input!
Basically, I want to edit rows in my DataTable so that when a user clicks on a checkbox at the end of a row the values in that row change to textboxs, dropdown lists etc.
I currently have it so that the editing takes place on a different page and the info is carried over but it would be a lot easier if I could do it in the table itself.

I believe I have a simlar issue could your code examples also help me?
I have a datatable that contains several columns. I have a valueChangeListener on one of my columns (itemTypesSI) that calls a method to populate the selectItems values in itemList. However, the method is populating itemList for ALL rows. I need it to populate itemList for only the ONE particular row that I change. What is the cleanest way to do so? Below is the code I created:
